I'm on PS4; I usually don't bother sending messages unless there's a good reason (after dying, I once watched the remaining two survivors both camp the hatch, not touching gens... I sent the killer a message. Getting sacrificed is part of the game; refusing to participate in gameplay for an extended amount of time is not.)
As killer, I often play for BP without farming farming. So I hook each one once or twice and just spend the rest of the match chasing, hitting, and maxing out whatever BP I can. That's easy in a 4v1; when it becomes a 3v1 at the beginning of the match, it pretty much guarantees that the match will take too long. If I try to chase the survivors, they go into hiding and barely touch gens. If I try to signal I want to farm, many survivors won't trust it. Even if I don't interact with them, they're timid about doing gens. Which is why I get annoyed when someone dies on the hook early on.
Oh yeah, PS4 no chat. ๐ฑ

-Gets a 4k-
ENTITY DISPLEASED
That's a different issue, and i disagree to getting that message wholeheartedly.

You're also not supposed to escape when the killer has dominated.
Indeed, and you're also not supposed to die either.
Because there is no "supposed", BOTH parties still need to make effort to achieve their primary goal.
You haven't won or lost until you see the Entity telling you how well you did.

Hatch King!! Although clutch is cool!It truly pains me to get entity displeased when I feel i played a good game ๐๐ท
I hope they address the gate keeper emblem I don't run ruin but I stall like hell on 3 gens and get no gate keeper added hurts my poor piggy heart ๐๐ท
I tried avoiding using multiple words.
Probably seems silly, but the other 3 are perfectly fine with 1 word, so idk, thought that might fit better. ๐

Welcome back!

A story from one my of my killer games... I hooked two survivors for the first time, had another on the ground, and realized that one of the hooked survivors was already in second state. Turned out, the final survivor was in a locker with three crows above it.
I got the person on the ground back on their feet, but one of the hooked survivors still died. I sacrificed the survivor who had gathered the crows (they weren't afk and it took three hookings) and let the other two escape.
I get annoyed when I'm playing killer and survivors let their teammates die. If I decide someone is to blame for it, I'll usually target them in some way. There have been some who have spent much time bleeding on the ground. I also try to make sure hatch campers do not get the hatch.
Yeah, i'm not a big fan of such abandonment either.
I actually like the "lone wolf" type, but even those know that them winning quickly becomes super hard if everyone dies quickly.
No, the ones who would walk past a hooked Survivor while knowing the Killer is busy on the other side, that's the BHVR i don't really like.
I don't dislike it for them though, i dislike it cause it takes a lot of challenge out of my match. ๐
So at that point, i do the next best thing that's fun TO ME, which is being friendly.
Then, at the scoreboard screen, i do something i normally never do, which is open the chat and simply tell them: 3v1 isn't fun for anyone, so enjoy your BP.

Favourite killer is Wraith
Wraith is a good boy and Bing Bonging is fun
My favourite survivor has always been Jake, I'm not sure why exactly, I've been playing him since day one
You like Wraith, you get upvote.
It's the law. ๐ฎ
-
Hmmm, maybe they could add a new message when you are killed by a kill move, and one by escaping with the Hatch.
Escaping is "ESCAPED"
Sacrificed is "SACRIFICED"
Killed is "KILLED"
Hatch escape is...uhmm..."CLUTCH"?
-
This is pretty obvious, but Crow gatherers are always bad for just doing nothing.
They're still better than on-purpose Pallet-droppers when not being chased though.
-
Well, you're not supposed to be guaranteed a 4K in the first place.
-
The game is based on a lot of slasher stuff.
The hooks specifically come from Texas Chain Saw Massacre for example.
-
With the safer windows, sure.
But with Pallets, you'll only be feeding my Wraith's Spirit Fury. ๐
Also, in Soviet Windstorm, Wraith blocks you.

I actually like Vanity Mirror with Dead Rabbit on Gideon Meat Plant.
I do like the idea of boyfriend's memo being buffed though, as long as it's still a tier 1 addon that can work with scratched mirror.
Oh i like everything about Vanity Mirror too.
It's just that decreased movement speed drains all the fun out of it for me.
A different, somewhat equal downside might make it much better for me. ๐
-
Oh damn, that sounds spoopy.
Kinda want that as a challenge Perk on Survivors like No Mither.
But instead of just Lockers, it's always.
-
Boyfriend's Memo might be buffed, hopefully.
Other than that, i only really dislike the movement speed reductions on two Add-ons.
I avoid them with a passion, i get no joy out of being made slower.
-
Complaints about Perks giving BP is funny to me.
From how i see it, some MORE Perks could be giving some more BP.
Got Empathy? Increase BP gained for meeting up with an Injured Survivor.
Got Save The Best For Last? Increase the BP gain for successful hits a tiny tad with each Token.
Got Plunderer's Instinct? Obviously, get some extra for completing the Search action.
Etc. etc.
As long as the numbers on them are low enough, it can't break the BP economy as only 4 Perks can be equipped.
And Survivors can truly use a lil BP boost regardless of all this.
-
Same, i used to join them live everytime.
After the whole overhaul, i just go to YouTube.
-
I got 2.
- No Mither + any Injured-only Perks, which usually end up being Iron Will (to deny headphone-users the little grunts i'd otherwise still make), Resilience (duh), and either Dead Hard or This Is Not Happening. (Dead Hard is probably better, but i don't like being chased (especially with No Mither) and i just love gigantic Great success zones.)
The reason i like this is because it's a challenge. (To me. ๐)
- Kindred, Open-Handed + whatever, usually one is Spine Chill.
I love bombarding the other Survivors with information.
I'm hooked? BOOM! Here's all other Survivors within unlimited range and the Killer within 24 meters.

Scratchmarks. Not only for us experienced players, but more for the new players. U can't imagine how many survivors don't know what scratchmarks are and how they work. Even at green ranks.
Yeah, seems good.

imagine if d-strike was base kit for survivors.. yikes i feel like it already is in red ranks
Hence why the title includes "balanced". ๐

FLAGGED FOR BEING OFF TOPIC! ๐คฌ
Just kidding, thanks for the compliment! ๐

Wraith & Kate.
Surprise hits & butt.

@Guertena said:
What??? I didn't get it
Basically: Which Perk do you want to have equipped without needing to equip it?
Imagine as if seeing Auras of Hooked Survivors was a Perk at one point, but became part of a Survivor's basekit later on.
That's what we're doing here. ๐

Fixated
For wanting to see Scratch Marks, or for wanting walking to be faster?
-
This feels weird to say without context, but...
There's not really any interesting Killers from my country, just some family murders & stealth poisonings.
-
Excluding unreleased Perks, MAYBE Adrenaline?
Doesn't really bother me...on its own.
When you're an M1 Killer and they have all kinds of second chance Perks and then see all 4 heal instantly, it makes it very discouraging to even continue.
Other than that, nah, i'm actually pretty content.
-
Pro: You won't be stuck at a rank with a Killer you can't play well.
Con: Survivors could be stuck with a pro Killer at low ranks.

Indeed it is just wish dev's would do something about it someone cries out one complaint about a killer its insta buff city but never really focus on survivors at all it's just annoying I love the game but it just gets ruined by wack killers I love a challenge in high ranks but it seems higher I get worse it gets snd it just shows they dont have to even try for there ranks while survivors have to break there backs just to get anywhere and watch it get stripped by a bs killer
The problem with it is that camping is a legit tactic.
And i mean with actual tact, like knowing someone's nearby, thus wasting their time and slowing Generator progress.
Your idea was also tested once, and it was abused by the Survivors and quickly scrapped.
If they thought they might make the idea work without it being abused, i think we would've seen something by now.
-
Mmmmmm no, not wasted.
It's a boring one though.

100% Shadowborn. Honestly I just wish there was an FoV slider that maxes at current SB value and M&A/SB were changed/reworked. Having to run a perk just to have a decent FoV is just...stupid. It's really, really stupid.
E: TBH I'd love for the devs to look into adding an auxiliary perk slot to killers and even survivors. Kinda like exilus mods in Warframe. Perks that are of some marginal utility but wouldn't really be seen as OP as a fifth extra perk. Hell, even make it a choice between an auxiliary perk or an offering to add some more depth to the game. Just something new, you know?
That does sound pretty nice.

Brutal Strength would be fine standard imo.
With how loud chase music is, Stridor would be fine standard.
Deer Stalker at a tiny range (like 6 meters) would be fine standard. Some Blendettes are literally impossible when they're on the floor in tall grass, especially in swamp/Yomaoka's.
Kindred has been requested for a while.
Bond with a smaller radius (12 meters or so?) would be fine base kit.
I remember this one picture of someone posting a challenge of finding a Survivor.
Turns out she was downed in high grass, and despite being in view, it was just impossible to see her directly.
People knew she was there because the grass was slightly moved, so you knew someone was there.
In short, base Deerstalker to a very small degree sounds pretty nice actually.
-
They're the best maps for me.
Got that sweet sweet immunity against corn vision.
And they don't know, so they'll still try. ๐คฃ
-
I do like the atmosphere, i really do.
I'm just scared of not finding any Blendettes for 5 minutes.
-
Well if you're really good with him, and the community is pretty split, then you're in a very good spot since the devs will think it's pretty much in the middle.
Best thing i can hope for you is that "Z" Block will change.
-
I honestly already forgot how they work exactly.
But it's pretty simple to me: If i like what i see and think it's worth the money, i'll spend it.
-
Yeah, lots of people want this.
-
Doesn't sound much more appealing to me.
You're granted a Perk when leveling, that's it.
With the Bloodwebs i get, at least i have SOME choice later on.
The only thing i'm jealous at is the Get-2 deal the mobile provides, but that's coming here soon as well.
-
That's exactly why they put it on the PTB: To test how it was.
If implemented as is, yes, it would probably do some damage.
If it's too bad, then they'll postpone its launch.
-
I can see this be a trend.
"He's already wearing shorts, why not show all of his legs?"
Eventually, the only thing he'll wear is some big censor pixels. ๐ฑ

There ya go frosty. An actual comment without trying to insult how I'm playing the game.
Intellect is rare here i guess.
The thread is about why is last hook insta death, and theres people saying bad survivor and people trying to "teach" me with my thousand hours how to play, instead of answering the simple question. It removes any chance to do some epic ######### , youre given three free trys as long as your not the last hook anyways, and if you have a perk revolved around it, why tf not let me try?
Everyone just want to move on to the next game? Maybe the killer, but the survivor wants to try and not be instant killed on his first hook. Other survivors like to see if the last person makes it. Its not like it'll drag on the game for another hour by giving me the escape chance.
Just sounds like pissy killer mains fretting over the fact i mentioned something regarding survivors gameplay.
They got on the hook.
It's safe to say they didn't make it.
-
I'm a bad boy.
-
That Hillbilly only ran away because he knows you're getting killed.
Killers never left the Hook immediately unless they were being hooked into the other hook phases.
The same will happen once again if there's no instant death.
If you want to survive a Killer in that situation, you'll need Deliverance (or very good luck), Decisive Strike to remove the hit you'll undoubtedly get soon after getting off the hook, Dead Hard maybe to avoid another hit, and you'll either equip Left Behind or take a risk and hope you'll find the Hatch before you go down again.
Not to mention it becomes even harder to escape if the Killer knows where the Hatch is, then hooks you and then closes the Hatch, to remove any possibilities of escaping.
I mean yeah, the Exit Gates are powered then, but good luck opening those with a Killer knowing where you are.
I simply don't think the devs would remove a great QoL feature for this incredibly uncommon situation to happen.
Not to mention the Survivors who then spend the full 2 minutes on the Hook for 800 BP or just for being stubborn.
-
It's probably there because there's not really a use of taking it out.
Plus it serves as a nice lil "We thought of this once" easter egg.
-
Blood Lodge.
Also, good luck with Azarov's Resting Place's late-game section if the Exit Gates are on both sides.
-
Survivors might actually profit more from Wraith's cloak than the Wraith can.
Hear the heartbeat? Just cloak and stay still somewhere where you think the Killer won't bump into you.

*Purposely does Trapper to do Demogorgon's Mori on him*
That would just be a kiss with the mask. ๐คฃ๐
-
Whenever i faced a Trapper, i could never resist just following him around and disabling Bear Traps, then hide.
It works better than you'd think, it's wasting so much of their time.
Granted, i'm not helping all that much with progress myself, but at least i'm not gathering Crows.
