I was told it was to not overwhelm casual players with numbers.
But also said they'd like a toggle option to show numbers or the words.
-
Devour Hope is mine as well.
I dislike seeing the useless ability on it greatly, so i'd change that.
- Make the 3/4/5% be active for as long as the Hex Totem is up.
- Remove the 3/4/5% and replace it with the ability to not need a Totem for Devour Hope until you have 1/2/3 Tokens. This would make it so they can't cleanse Devour Hope until you have the specified amount.
Either, but not both.
-
There's a big difference between you and the Killer.
They had no Perks and you are well past getting Devotion 1.
Their technique probably indeed was bad, but i feel like they can be excused, they're very new, and this was probably a lesson for them.
-
I suck at finding motivation to continue after a crash.
Granted that's the case with any game and i don't crash all that much.
But simply crashing is just so demotivating for me.

Do you like being exposed; does it bother you? I'd like to see you answer your own question! ๐
Well no, i certainly prefer NOT being Exposed.

I know, was giving him my reasoning on why being exposed doesn't bother me as much.
I typically use Dead Hard or Iron Will so I can somewhat counter out the disadvantage of being injured. :)
Fair enough.

dont do it survivors, hes just baiting you into giving up your weaknesses! D:
anyway, on a serious note, i dont like Mangled, just makes healing even slower and im still not great at looping so being fully healed is nice.

I don't mind exposed because we have a no heal meta. :)
While that's currently true, this question asks every individual.
This is about what you, Masantonio and every other person personally considers the worst to have. ๐

Passing a dull totem :(
Equipping Perks that counter eachother, mostly involving No Mither.

@Boss They claim the SoS is completely random and every Perk has an equal chance of appearing. I really have to question that, because if Space Coconut was right in one of his recent videos, in the two years BBQ has been available, it's appeared in the SoS only three times.
Considering that is one of the most sought after Killer perks due to the BP bonus, it does make it suspicious, if his three times in two years was correct, about the SoS being "completely random."
Just saying he's most likely right.
-
The one that stands out the most to me here is Shrine of Secrets.
I find it a bit ridiculous that you can advertise your locked-behind-purchases Perks as normally-available Perks because they MIGHT appear in the SoS.
Barbecue & Chili being the perfect recent example of why i don't like SoS.
-
Mmmmmm no, not always at least.
Wraith's "Windstorm" - Mud gives a massive boost, but "Windstorm" - White only makes you a bit faster than "Windstorm" - Mud, and "W" - Blood only a bit faster than "W" - White.

Wraith welcomes you, Ghost Face! ๐ค

If it was a bad thing, they'd add it to the list of rules by now. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Adrenaline to survive a hit if you get farmed in late-game.
Breakdown to try and remove the chance to get re-hooked.
Decisive Strike's change was born for this.
Dead Hard to ignore being downed immediately.
Optionally, you could do Kindred, to remove those who, for some reason, it's safe to do and then, thanks to Kindred, decide it's not.
There's quite the options already. ๐

Well, judging from the majority of comments on this post I know a lot of players want it more atmospheric.
Then you'll have to ask a dev what's up, cause i'm not one. ๐

How about you?
You think she needs one, in ANY way?

As I said, they can easily make changes such as lowering the brightness that wouldn't effect fps
Yup, meaning they don't want to.
-
The old engine made lots of people run the game just bad.
You could be setting GTA V on High, but it wouldn't matter one bit in DbD.
Btw, if you, reading this comment, ran it just fine before, good for you, but not everyone is you. ๐
I just hope they can do it properly one day. ๐
-
That will simply make it very safe, which isn't the goal.

You're correct for the killer's first lobby, the thing the OP is complaining about is something that can't really be fixed. If all 4 survs load in and then all 4 leave the game just tries to fill the lobby Old School Style. Basically it doesn't go "Oh, 4 are gone, I can just grab another batch of 4." it goes "Oh, someone is missing, let me fill that slot." x 4.
Even if they made it so that it could recognize a completely emptied lobby in the same way as when it's creating them it still wouldn't fix say, 3 people leaving and then it trying to stagger in those spots.
Definitely sounds possible and logical. ๐

Then I've never gone against those wraiths then.
There's always exceptions. ๐
-
Okay, convince me. ๐
-
They were probably skeptical to give a rushing, 1-hitting Killer an Ultra Rare back then.
That, or they simply had no good ideas that were worth the Ultra Rare rank.
As for Cannibal, he's literally a school project copy-pasted from another student, then some things were edited to try and fool the teacher.

Recover mostly, but there's situations for moving.

I like the idea but it's a risky one. So basicly if the game lags you're dead because you missed a skillcheck.
Give it a forgiving zone.
The point of them is to make people stay in the game, or kill them, NOT to make it difficult.
-
Replacing it with Skill Checks should be a fine replacement: No more mashing, but no doing-nothing either.
Would train casuals on Skill Checks as well.
-
Mathieu said, long ago, it was done to make people stay in the game.
If you were just hanging there without having to do so, you'd just browse your phone until you'd get unhooked or die.
Not the perfect quote, but this is pretty accurate.

Y'all should watch Dashie play this game, it really does add some sort of tension.
I do think there should be an option to make it something you can hold, for those who need it.
Also, with a controller you don't need to shake it left and right, you just have to spin the joystick in a circle, not even remotely fast or hard. Keyboards tho have to be mashed like that :/
Really? I've never died from not mashing.
-
I kinda do.
No red ranks, no gray ranks.
That's it.

Yeah i can get the delay based on net data inconsistent flux, but there are tons of ways to fix this. If you make a game with 2 different perspectives, then you have to think a solution good for both type of players, because if play surv you're in third person, if you play killer you're in first. That doesn't bother killers, but survs yes.
Well that kind of thing should occur less with the servers.
Not guaranteeing anything, as they themselves said the implementation is just one step, but it should still help. ๐
-
@aurum_exe said:
Well i could have been in his range, but a "hit" with a melee is when the weapon collider reach MY collider, and there is no hit whatsoever there.
You were most likely colliding with his collider from his point of view, given that the Killer is the host and Survivors will always have some delay from that being the case.

@AshleyWB said:
I feel like 10 seconds would be better because it forces you to take the risk to either use your exhaustion perk to get away early or stay put for 10 seconds with the killer investigating nearby and maybe not resorting to using your exhaustion perk.
Idk, i just copy-pasted the old number.
3 is all he'd need.

@AshleyWB said:
Whenever I take balanced landing I get flat maps with near to no drop offs. Mindbreaker seems really bad right now I hope it gets a rework or significant tweak to be useful.
Maybe if while in chase if you go into bloodlust 2, the Survivor is unable to use exhaustion perks like head on, dead hard, BL or lithe. Have it 3 tokens, when you down a Survivor in Bloodlust 2 you lose a token.
If it was...
"Gain a 3-second Exhaustion when entering the Killer's Terror Radius. If already affected by Exhaustion, pause Exhaustion recovery instead."
...that'd be a WHOLE other story for Wraith.

Mindbreaker might work well on wraith. If you see a bunch of megs you can guess they've got sprint burst. Very situational
Yeah, but it's too rare of a Perk for me to equip it just for that, everyone and their mother chooses Balanced Landing or Dead Hard in my games.
Also, they'll know immediately if they used Sprint Burst to reach their first Generator, and then see they're not recovering while repairing.
So they'll then adapt.
-
Killer.
- I'm more of a lone wolf player, Killer fits perfectly.
- I don't like being chased, i don't do Altruism well as a lone wolf & only repairing is boring.
- I'm bloodthirsty. I mean, i defiled my Perk icon with blood, that's how much. ๐

He's one of the ones who's complained about the most on camping, from what i see on these forums.

why you are able to do 2 action at the same time?
I think the question itself is a tad flawed, i think it's better to ask why THESE 2 actions can be done at the same time.
The reason i thought it was flawed is because pointing + Dead Hard is only worse than moving + Dead Hard, that person made no progress while pointing, only ignoring a hit.
If they managed to survive while pointing, they surely would've survived while moving.
Hence why i don't really care if you can Dead Hard while using a gesture, as it's only a bigger change for that move to backfire. (In this case, it didn't.)
It's why i never care if people gesture or teabag behind a Pallet, it's more time for me to catch up, especially with my speedster Wraith. ๐
-
Larger shock zone, seems like a no-brainer at this point, the standard zone is way too easy to avoid.
The other numbers on Shock Therapy mean nothing to me though, sorry.
Actually, after reading all of it, i guess this is your fix discussion that means the least to me, as i got nothing i can talk about besides the Shock Therapy zone. ๐
-
Idk who you're talking to, but I mainly use it for its aura reading.

No longer a HEAVY incentive to running "more BT" Add-ons & Corrupt Intervetion. Good.
Faster arming, sure.
Huh, interesting.
I'm not against it, but I'm not sure if he should be immune to his own traps.
In short: I'd be fine with it being either way.
Be Trapper? Instant escapes.
Face Trapper? Grabbed, grabbed, grabbed.
So yes, screw Luck, and we'll just have to buff/change Slippery Meat.
Ahh, the QoL pretty much every Trapper wants.
It'd take a new animation btw, since you're re-arming, but should be worth it.
Hah, I see you don't like Haemorrhage either.
Nothing else really to point out, it all just sounds neat.
Well okay, the Wax Brick.
To be fair, I can't picture in my head how much bigger it is then.
And this is a long stretch, but bear with me.
So they removed trapping under Hooks.
Now imagine placing this bigger BT at a main-building basement entrance like Ironworks or Thompson's.
Won't that be a huge blocker?
A lil reminder: I read these as neutral as possible, no bias here, just curiosity.
Anyway, it's getting late for me, so I'll continue with the others another time.
You're doing great work btw, regardless of if they're good suggestions or not. ๐
-
No roar before the charge, good.
The numbers for crouch stuff don't mean anything to me, sorry.
So let me get this straight:
You search the first box, using up 20 seconds, you get one key.
You find another box, use up 20 seconds, get a second key and then take off the RBT.
Sound right?
Idk, but isn't that a tad too generous to the Survivor?
Lol, anti-genrush.
Also, it might just make POP!s more frequent, which is pretty neat.
More importantly of course, is it forces them to be busy with her Power, which is the main goal anyway.
Seeing the timer seems more QoL than anything, just neat to have.
I mean I'm sure it can be used in some way, but still.
Razor Wires: Ahh, they're actually good now, about time!
Rest just seems good, though I'm not an expert with numbers on other Killers' Add-ons.
Except Combat Straps, like I said before, idk about numbers on crouch stuff.

Cool!
Plz review my other fix posts too. They need people to evaluate them and if they are good to make sure they get attention from devs and stuff!
Well this guy's my main, and I'm a very pure main.
I'm not unfamiliar with other Killers, but most hours go in this guy, Hillbilly and the old Nightmare.
I'll review them anyway, especially Clown.
Just saying that weird opinions might come from a lack of training/skill. ๐
