And why should solo players for survivors suffer in this situation? Is this some kind of lower grade not worthy of a normal game?
That's the whole problem. Solo suffers the most from the imbalances SWF Brings since they can't exactly nerf Strong killers to be fair against Solo since then there would be no answer for a strong SWF.
Until the Devs Buff solo and individual Killers to be on par with SWF they can't balance the 3.

Banning them at the start of the event as a "present for the normal players" means they have less players during an event.
And well, as developers, you'd want your game flooded with players, especially during that.
Less players yes but a lot less people DCing and ruining games all trough the event, just take a look at how games are now It's hard to find a game where someone doesn't DC and ######### over the rest of the team.
I Agree the Devs want numbers, That's why i think it wouldn't happen.

3 days ago they said there were no changes to nurse planned, so sounds like the add on rework was scraped or is on the back burner.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/440638#Comment_440638
But yea, as long as SWF exists in its current form, there should be no changes to nurse.
Oh that's interesting, Mclean said on stream that nurse and hillbilly where getting add on reworks but I'm glad they're not to be honest.
As much as it might suck for solo players the strongest killers need to stay how they are since they're the only ones who can go up against a good 4man SWF.
-
Some of her Add Ons are getting reworked, don't know when though.
Personally I think nurse is fine as long as SWF is the way it is, Both are broken.
-
They probably should, show them that DCing isn't okay and not ruin the event for everybody else but I doubt they will.
-
How they didn't see this when designing the map I don't know...
They should just remove the fog effect.
-
I believe they've recognized the imbalance it brings but don't plan on doing anything to fix it. In fact they have even said they would never add icons to show your going against a SWF in case killers dodged.
So no changes coming anytime soon if ever If I had to guess.
-
Collectivly there's no correct way to play killer, You can slug, camp tunnel all you want.
When they mentioned legion and pig I think they meant how these certain killers are meant to be played.
For Pig they want you to use traps while generators are still up, the traps are meant to slow the game down a little, not actually be used to get kills.
Legion is another story, they designed him and want him to be a killer who spreads out damage to multiple survivors. But his powers and how they work most of the time don't allow him to do this putting frenzy on a timer and giving the survivors location information to only be in his terror radius makes it so most of the time it's detrimental to leave a target. This is what made the previous version of legion so annoying, he would just keep attacking the one survivor till they went down, This is still a problem with the new legion but now they've limited his capabilities in doing that giving more room for counter play. It still wont be viable to keep switching targets especially when survivors could just spread out knowing it's legion and counter that whole playstyle.
The Problem with this way of thinking from the devs is they limit a killer's potental by forcing them to a playstyle. Pig was good because she had the option of when to use her traps and could be played different ways but after the changes she can now only be played how they want her to, Legion is still and will never be what they want them to be.
-
Some are bugs and crashes but most are intentional.
There's this growing trend to DC as soon as you start to loose, It doesn't help that there's little punishment for DCs, None if you don't meet the threshold. Hopefully with dedicated servers they start to punish DCs more, It's gotten to the point where a game without a DC is rare. That's very bad.
-
I'm sorry but It's awful by design. If it was situational like only gaining stacks when body blocking It might be okay but the perk itself is just too strong with little drawback even if aura reading was automatic after it triggers.
How it's designed is that It's meant to trigger towards mid and end game, after you've taken three hits and give the effect of an Instaheal when you should be going into the dying state with an added sprint burst and the Killer is stunned to wipe down their weapon. The Pay off is one of the strongest in the games and can be used by every survivor in every trial.
Insta downs and second chances perks need serious drawbacks due to how game changing they can be, Aura reading isn't that big of a deal to be honest especially with the reward from MoM.
-
It's the built in fog on the map, I don't know why they haven't removed it yet.
-
This is something I really thought they would've fixed by now. In maps like lery's it's such a pain having to walk a long wall only for the survivor to know which way your going and be gone by the time you get in the room.
-
Because the Devs have stated they don't design killers to be viable, Horrible design choice in my opinion but it's their game. I'd love to see the the day that all killers become viable and the game finally get some variety in the high ranks, but knowing the Devs this will never happen.
Legion is also horribly designed in terms of how they want him to be played. They want legions to spread out frenzy attack to everyone at once and not focus on a single survivors, The problem here is that they made his power in a way that it's on a timer and people can counter this play style by simply spreading out so you end up a lot of the time not being able to do what they want you to and have to play him as a regular m1 killer now.
-
For anyone saying MoM is fine, Let's introduce a Killer perk of the same equivalent.
After hitting a Survivor 3 times, the next hit on said survivor in the healthy state is an instadown. After hooking the survivor, your Aura will be revealed when you are farther than 12/14/16 metres from the Survivor.
You see how broken that is? Free instadowns and Free Second chances need to have serious drawbacks because of how strong they are. The Devs should know this, and probably did but went ahead and made an OP Perk for ash to sell him.
-
This would benefit those people that DC as soon as they go down first or against certain killers, That's the last thing we need.
-
@Blueberry said:
The perk was already pretty bad before and now it's just trash. Not only did they reduce the opening time, but if anything the time should have been increased. These balance changes make no sense at all.
It's so that the survivor has 2 chances to escape after failing the objective. Stupid I know but they seem to be all about multiple second chances lately.
Last one alive, hatch spawns and you get a free escape for nothing no matter if theres generators done or not, You loose again and the killer beats you to the hatch don't worry because the exit gates get powered and you get another chance at escape and they've made it even easier with 15 seconds for the killer to try run from the hatch to each exit gate..... It's ridiculous.

This whole PTB update was Survivor orientated.
I wouldn't say completely survivor sided, there were some albeit small changes that were good for killer like Wraith being able to attack slightly sooner after putting away the bell, The coldwind walls finally after so long getting changed and the Hatch being close-able was a huge step forward but I would say it was majority survivor sided.
The Exit gate changes was where I drew the line though, Even if you don't do a single generator and You loose the game, You then get a free chance at escaping if you find the hatch first but if you loose again and the killer closes it first It's okay because the gates get powered and you get another chance at escape which is completely possible thanks to the gates only taking a tiny 15 seconds. Is it really that hard for the devs to imagine a killer deserving to get 4 kills without all these chances of escape for survivor for doing nothing.
-
No.
You're stuck with the one play style of using all your traps within the first 4 gens popping. I know pigs who don't play for end game wont really be all that effected by it but at least before you could have the choice of playing differently.
Traps stopping in terror radius as opposed to chases has made them slightly less threatening too.
-
The Gate changes weren't needed, Part of me thinks it was because they wanted to give survivors a second second chance at escaping if the hatch is closed.
Hopefully the exit gate and remember me changes don't make it to live.
-
Shadowborn/Monitor and Abuse - I can't go back to Base killer FOV, It's just so small and nauseating trying to maneuver after getting used to the larger one.
-
It's situational, It all depends on your skill level as a survivor, the skill of the killer, what map your on and what killer your facing.
Generally though I'd say it's not very dangerous to be injured on the loopable killers.

What is the Spirit situation?
With the Plague update people noticed there was a new sound placed for when spirit uses her power or vaults a window, Survivors could also hear it so it essentially was telling them when she was phasing or vaulting making her mind game potential useless.
-
I mean they did say it was a Bug and that it will be dealt with, We just don't know when that's going to happen.
It's very strange for a bug to add sounds that were never in the game before but how and ever even if they did add these sounds as a nerf I just want to see it fixed.

adredaline and noed will activated when the gens are finish maybe its intended for noed and adredaline but rancor will be op if you can simple close the hatch and kill the survivor
Not exactly OP, more so strong in a unlikely situation. You'd have to play the game so well to the point where you could actually leave your obsession till last and close the hatch before they get to it. If your not on a door which you could be and avoid rancor Your most likely going to be caught and killed if the hatch is closed anyway.
Rancor as it is now hardy ever works because the obsession will just leave which is even easier to do now that gates only take 15 seconds.
-
As much as I'd love to see sounds working again It's been this way for months with bug reports almost daily. I think their priorities are elsewhere.
-
I'm worried for freddy, the 'Logical Changes' for Pig was to make her traps useless in the end game so if they said they based freddy's new power around end game It's a little discouraging.

nooooo she is legit my failsafe if spirit gets nerfed or any other killers that I semi-main get nerfed they wouldn't dare destroy nurse too...I hope.
Nurse is at least getting her add ons reworked, Mclean confirmed that.
While I agree that nurse is a problem, If they nerf nurse without acknowledging SWF that's going to be a painful patch to witness.
-
I think it might be a bug, NOED and Adrenaline both trigger when the hatch closes It seems odd that Rancor wouldn't since they all have the same requirements.
I don't think it would be OP Rancor hardly ever works anyway at least now it'd have some more use.
-
I wouldn't mind this Idea. It's not exactly a good feeling to put so much hours into a character just to have them changed to where you don't want to play them anymore.
While I think a DLC Refund shouldn't be given outside of the first few hours after purchase I do think this Idea should be considered from the Devs.
In order to refund I don't think it'd be an easy fix due to add ons and offerings unless you put it alongside prestige. After reaching level 50 you get the choice to prestige or start over and be given a Million Blood points.
-
I don't follow these people's streams but from what I read on twitter seems like meaningless, Childish Internet arguments to me.
This is why i only follow a handful of whisperers, Ones who actually play the game and don't get involved in this petty drama and One side vs the other business.

@Peanits was that seriously intended? She was balanced before.
Part of me is beginning to think it actually was a nerf they intended but quickly went back on and called a bug. It's just so strange that the sounds had never been in the game before and they're conventionally placed for whenever she vaults or uses her power.
To be honest though, I don't care as long as the fix her.
-
I don't know but it's very concerning. They Clearly don't care or Are Incompetent, MoM alone proved that.
There's plenty of Fog whisperers BHVR maybe should turn to when they need balance advise because clearly they haven't a clue.
-
Can confirm Spirit is still Bugged 🙄
-
I'm hoping he'll at least be mid tier after the rework.
I've given up hope on them making him viable in red ranks with all the changes lately, It was a stretch before but now with how they see balance, I doubt there will be another killer or killer buff to make them viable in red ranks/against SWF.
-
Yeah I was hyped to start playing again because of end game collapse but all these nerfs and nothing done about MoM or other issues just killed it.
I'm just wondering how the freddy rework is going to go at this point.
-
They either knew it would be OP and a selling point for Ash and did it out of greed with disregard for game balance or have absolutely no idea on how to balance their own game, Either could be true or both.
I don't see a rework or nerf coming anytime soon.
-
I'll probably play a couple of games to test the end game collapse and hatch changes, I don't own legion so i wont be able to test his changes out unless they have him unlocked.
-
Doubtful. The release of MoM shows they are one of two things when it comes to balance, Either they don't know how to balance or they don't care. Neither are very good options.
-
They need to completely reevaluate how they produce sound in my opinion.
The sound occlusion is nice in an open area but when you introduce walls, rocks, trees and any other object how they've set it up so it makes sound get muffled almost completely by them. In reality sound bounces of objects but for DBD you can't even hear an almost completed generator which is very loud just because it's behind a wall.
The Chase I don't know why they haven't adjusted the volume of it, Seems like such an easy fix. But like others have said, their priorities are evidently elsewhere since these issues have been going on for a good few months.
-
Wiggling free is not supposed to be a thing that happens often. Mostly it's there to stop the killer from just carrying you all the way to the basement or wherever and for however long.
The problem with buffing wiggling perks is that if you make them too strong you start to give even more second chances in the game which there's already plenty of.
-
Well this, maybe built in kindred and Icons to show what everyone's current action is in the game like being chased, cleansing totem, repairing generators ect
That would truly close the gap and finally give room to balance the game fairly.
-
Making it to were it only works while the killer hits you while carrying another survivor would make it a fair perk.
Lets just hope the devs are listening or the community team is relaying our concerns and ideas for the perk because there's been absolutely no word on Mom since release. It's like they dropped it and ran knowing full well the damage it would cause.
-
I don't really ever purchase cosmetics since i almost exclusively play killer and you never see killer cosmetics in the actual game apart from weapons. That said, Spirits weapon seems cool.
-
Ghost face would be cool but they'd have to do something interesting with his power. I Hope it wont have anything to do with phone calls, that'd be stupid. Maybe Aura reading of survivors and phasing to lockers to jump out?
-
Seems like a good idea, Blindness against a SWF is useless.
This could make for some very interesting perks down the line too.
-
Hopefully next time they call it a cosmetic reveal and not a Surprise or Something we've never seen before that made it seem like a much bigger deal and made people loose their minds 😂
-
@Rockatanskyrenzo said:
I don´t understand anything. But is this the surprise or not?...
Yes It's technically a surprise but really It's just a cosmetic reveal for the next patch before someone can leak them like usual, we got ourselves hyped up thinking it was something bigger.
I wish they'd have just called it a cosmetic reveal rather than surprise and "something we've never seen before" that made it seem bigger than it was.
-
Well that was anticlimatic 😂
-
All we know is some sort of surprise is coming today, Other then that they've given no true indication on what it could be.
-
That'd be very disappointing.
