The FAQ they wrote on the announcement post said that everything else about how the Hatch spawn remains unchanged. The only thing that is changing is that the Hatch will always spawn and be open once there is one Survivor remaining.

I just read that, Thank you I misunderstood the Video.

  • By design legion is flawed, I think this is why he got so much hate. Personally I think he needs a rework.

In theory he sounds fun, spread out attacks with quick on your toes game play since he can vault pallets and windows but in actuality he was very unfun to play against.

The core problem with legion was the idea of spreading out frenzy hits, This would have never worked since no matter what survivors will learn to spread out against legion and stop it from happening. Putting him on a timer to hit people also made chasing other targets instead of focusing on the one who's injured not that viable unless they were close by.

Even now with the changes coming, He's just become a quick first hit killer who will have to chase people down to get the second hit, Not what he was originally designed to do. I don't think there will be reason to hate on him anymore, he'll be akin to the likes of wraith.

  • Doubt it, like clown map I guess they were under pressure and had to place it in something they already made.

I just wish they would have made some different trees and changed the ground texture, That would have been enough to make it look like it's own map.

  • Does Hatch still spawn like it does now? In the video they said when only one survivor is left, no matter how many generators are left, the hatch will spawn.

If this is true then keys will only be able to be used when the killer closes the hatch and activates end game.

I actually like that change to be honest.

  • The Hatch changes are the only changes that will have any impact, End game collapse doesn't help one side over the other, It's just there to get people to leave.

The Collapse isn't supposed to help the killer get kills. It's to punish people who stay behind when there's an open exit gate already there to leave. Death by collapse will be a very rare occasion.

  • We can hope one day but I wouldn't hold your breath.

SWF can't be nerfed outright, For SWF to be balanced the right way they'd have to buff solo's information sharing capabilities and then buff killers powers accordingly. This would probably be a lot of work which to be completely honest I don't see them doing.

  • I'll never understand how people defend this perk, Switch the roles and give the killer an instadown for every survivor in a healthy state after hitting them 3 times and you clearly see how It's so blatantly unbalanced and bad for the game.

The silence from the Devs on this though makes me think they just don't care. They knew what they were doing when making it, They can't possibly be that oblivious to their own game and They've for sure seen the uproar the perk has caused but have yet to speak a word about it.

Sadly I don't think it'll be acknowledged or reworked anytime soon.

  • I think the Entity being a playable killer wouldn't work. The Entity controls the trials, If you put it in the trial to run around playing it's own game of torment it seems silly.

Not to mention the entity would most likely have to be the strongest killer if they were to be in the game and no way in hell will the devs ever make a killer stronger than nurse.

Now an Entity possessed survivor or plant-like killer that the entity has brought to life sort of like the ones in the hallowed blight event could work since it wouldn't exactly be the entity itself.

    @Plu

Because they knew it's a DS 2.0 and killers would reject it. Also, all the threads that were made explaining why It should be completely removed or at least reworked were completely ignored... Devs havebt said anything about the perk since It was teased, most likely they want everyone to forget about it so that it stays broken for the same time as DS did...

The absolute radio silence on it from the Devs speaks volumes.

So I disagree with the premise of this game being survivor favored, but moving past that I have a legit question.

Killer mains complain about SWF a lot and say something should be done about it. What?

What exactly are people's ideas involving SWF? Are people suggesting getting rid of it? Are they suggesting only allowing duos instead of a 4 person group? Like, what do you want to change about SWF? I'm really genuinely curious

Personally as a Killer main I'd like to see Solos buffed to SWF level on information sharing and killers have their individual powers reworked/buffed around that.

You can't nerf SWF without it negatively having an effect on solo and People shouldn't be punished for playing with friends but the game wasn't made or balanced for voice coms and It causes a big imbalance so this is the only logical option.

The Legion situation is easily doable and controllable at the player's behest. The window bug is random and uncontrollable. If works one moment then stops the next and it happens on every map at some point and on every window at some point. Somethings are just not bannable because of how widespread and uncontrollable they are. It's annoying, but survivors can't make a window broken purposely.

Yeah I suppose the survivor can't intentionally set it up, It's the games fault.

Sucks cause it can be such a game braking bug when a survivor is aware of it they can abuse it and make a loop and infinite.

  • Report them, It's a bug and their knowingly exploiting it.

Bans are being giving to people exploiting the legion add ons bug so i don't see why this wouldn't be considered for one too.

  • The perk is one of the worst perks they've ever created, I really hope they fix their mistake and nerf it because anyone with any idea of balance in this game will tell you It's horribly designed.

The only reason i can see for it being made go live the way it is was because it's sold with Ash and having a very OP perk would be a selling point for the DLC. I refuse to believe the Devs are that uninformed about their own game that they thought it was balanced.

its funny that ppl think that MoM its powerfull or that it takes no skill well theres alot of killer perks that dosent require skill MoM have alot of counters and i hate that ppl that think that its powerfull for myself i consider them killer mains

What's the actual counters to MoM that every killer can use? There's no actual counter at all, only some killers can work around it by using an m2.

It's a free instaheal with a sprint burst that you get automatically when you should be going down just because you've taken 3 hits already, something that happens naturally in every game. How is that not powerful?

  • Ruin being base would be awful, They need to adjust gen speeds.

3 people on a gen while one person runs the killer takes 33 seconds, add some toolboxes or prove thyself and you can get it done much faster.

If everybody spreads out and is on a generator each, they can be done in 3 minutes if one person can keep the killer busy for that long.

There's a huge imbalance in how fast the survivor objective can be done compared to the killer, which would be to chase, down, and hook everybody ideally 3 times.

  • @Slayer That's what we have to assume unless they're going to bend the rules and make an exception only for nurse but I don't think that'll be the case and they're just going to make it for every killer without an M2/power attack.

The Perk is a joke, It really shows how little they know of balance.

  • Nerf nurse as soon as SWF is dealt with, as it is now there's reason to having an OP killer to help combat the imbalances SWF brings.

Billy on the otherhand is getting his add ons reworked alongside nurse. Once his charge add ons are changed he'll be the most balanced killer in the game and what every other killer should be on the same level as.

If the Devs nerfed hillbilly and nurse without acknowledging SWF I can see a lot of players being upset and possibly even leaving.

  • Billy is getting his charge time add ons reworked. After that he'll be the most balanced killer in the game.

If you nerf every killer to be 'fun to play against' that would destroy the game. Generally the killers that are fun to play against are the ones who get looped constantly and can't put up much of a fight. It's very hard to have a killer be both strong and fun to play against.

Every killer should be on the same level as billy to be honest, It'd be so much healthier for the game in terms of variety. If billy was to get nerfed then expect nurse 9 times out of 10 games because the list of viable killers is already so small.

  • This map in general is one of the worst, A lot of the maps favor survivors but this one... It's so one sided.

With balanced landing the main house becomes almost an infinite. They really should look into it and add gaps in fences, board up some of those windows but I don't think they will considering the most they did to it recently was move single generators to make them accessible to more survivors.

  • 3 minutes is incredibly long for end game. How many games do you really find yourself staying behind 3 minutes after the gates have been opened?

Besides it slows down when someones on the ground or hooked to give you time to make saves.

  • Not much you can really do except look for movement in the corn or trough the tiny gaps in hopes of seeing the survivor, that or scratch marks.

Corn is awful to deal with I wish they'd make it more sparse so you don't have a screen full of corn half the match.

  • Oh no, I thought this end game would be the buff Pig needs but seeing as their reworking her to fit it I'm kind of scared, They haven't exactly been showing great examples of balance lately apart from hatch and end game changes.

  • She's decent, I doubt the devs with do anything to her for a very long time. If they had of left her how she was in her PTB I would fine with that but oh well...

  • I'd close end game chat if I were you.

This game has one of the most toxic player bases I've ever seen. You'd think they would crack down on toxicity and start giving out small bans to people who continuously spread it but it still runs rampant.

As a Killer it's kind of a loose loose with those people. If you do your role as killer you get harassed and if you don't manage to kill you get mocked.

Occasionally you'll get the nice survivors who give you a "GG" or "Fun Game" but they're few and far between in my opinion.

  • I don't know It'll still be a very situational perk, blood warden is already hard to pull off, how the games played isn't going to change all that much.

I don't think the perk would need a nerf, It's one whole perk slot dedicated to blocking the gates for 1 of the 3+ minutes and you have to have the gates open already before hooking a survivor. Plus the timer will already slow down when the survivor is hooked or slugged.

  • Exactly, End game hasn't changed all that much, It'll still play the same way just now with a timer. 3 minutes+ is a very long time to get out while the gates are open, and the timer slows down to save slugged or hooked survivors.

It doesn't really benefit anyone majorly in one way other than giving the survivors reason to leave which was needed to combat people holding the game hostage.

  • The collapse isn't supposed to be that effective. It's to combat people holding the game hostage and give survivors reason and pressure to leave. I think Kills by collapse are going to be a rare occasion on people that a dumb enough to not leave an already opened exit gate.

  • The end game wont really change all that much, It'll just be put on a timer now which is a good thing since survivors had control over how long the game lasts and could hold it hostage the changes prevent that.

  • No doubt people will complain about the changes but I hope the devs don't get influenced by them.

The Hatch with the current upcoming changes will finally be in a balanced spot. Teasing it now only to be changed would be a disaster.

That might be true, but that isn't stated outright in the video.

You can see it happen in the video when the killer closes the hatch.

Not really balanced. It will be so much easier for killers to find the hatch. It will be a free kill for the killer moste of the time.

When the hatch is closed the exit gates get powered you can see it in the video. It's as fair and balanced as it can be. Hatch isn't supposed to be a guaranteed escape.

  • Hatch is finally balanced and Collapse stops games from being held hostage. What could possibly be bad about this? It's an amazing change.

  • @Knayter said:

I still really dont really understand this whole thing, we need to see how this will turn out in PTB first, but I can already tell a lot of complain gonna come already, I mean the end game have been the same for like 2 years now, it will be hard to get used to the new one

Nothing will change all that much, It just stops people from holding the game hostage and gives them a timer to leave when the gates are open. Dying by end game collapse most likely will be a very rare occasion.

The Hatch changes are nice and finally balanced so i don't see why anyone could complain.

  • It'd be like pig with traps body blocking the basement. It's apparently a strategy and is not considered holding the game hostage.

To be honest, I doubt this would happen all that much but if it does just know your taking that risk going for a save in the basement while collapse is happening.

  • I have to agree, I'd almost given up on this game but seeing the end game collapse gives me hope.

Nothing much will change in terms of gates, It only really effects people holding the game hostage and gives reason to leave. It's the hatch changes I'm excited about, it finally feels balanced.

also Apparently they've reworked a lot of end game perks but NOED is staying the same, I wonder how bloodwarden will be changed.

  • @PhantomMask20763 said:

@Bongbingbing Woah woah woah, hol up. The killer can open the gates now? Where did it say that?!

at the start, both killer and survivor can open the exit gates, I assume because otherwise survivors would just 99% a gate to prevent the collapse.

  • It's to get people to leave. End game currently is very survivor sided that they can hold the game hostage and there's nothing a killer can do about it. At least now They can be put on a 3 minute timer by themselves or by the killer.

Nothing much will change apart from the hatch i believe. It'll probably be a very rare occasion to have the end game collapse claim a survivor.

The Hatch changes have made it balanced for both sides, previously it was a free escape but now it's a race to see who can find it first.

  • Wow, This actually looks really good!

Hatch stand offs are no more, It's actually a race to see who finds it first which is amazing. Finally hatch is balanced! and Survivors can't just 99% an exit gate to prevent the end game collapse since the killer can open the gates now too.

  • Didn't they say they were going to do something about this ages ago? It's a very well known bug and why a lot of people play on low settings.

I don't expect them to fix it anytime soon to be honest just like the cold wind farm walls being see trough.

  • Plauge really has to make use of the corrupt purge to not be gen rushed into the ground.

There's not much you can really do against gen rush in general but for plauge since there's no time spent healing that's more time for survivors to be on gens. If you don't make use of the corrupt purge your going to have a real hard time.

  • People need to realize the Devs can fix issues on both sides and still have a Bias.

It's pretty clear they do lean towards the Survivor side more than Killers, not to say they haven't done good for killers but anyone could take a look and see that.

If they truly wanted balance for both sides MoM wouldn't have even been considered for the game, especially after finally balancing DS after 2 whole years. Just look at the issues on each side and how quickly survivors issues are fixed in comparison to killers and let's not even get into SWF.

  • Legion is no longer anti loop, How he'll be played now is use his power to get the first hit and maybe switch targets if somebody else is around.

After that first hit any use of the power wont help you because of the stun and the deep wound timer wont be depleted with another hit so it becomes pointless and You will have to chase them down like other M1 killers like wraith.

He'll be a lot easier to deal with as survivors and probably a lot more frustrating to play as since there's a lot of times were you'll be giving yourself a stun whether by missing an attack in frenzy, running out of it or leaving it after the first hit.

  • Her add ons are being reworked along with Billy's

  • While I agree that the perks an unbalanced mess...There is no way the didn't know what they were doing with MoM, I don't expect any changes anytime soon.

  • Bloodpoint event for easter i guess?

  • Legion needed a rework alongside freddy not this mess they did.

They designed a killer to counter looping knowing full well that's what survivors like about the game, so instead of reworking his power they nerf it so that if the survivors injured, using your power to vault will just put you in a stun animation and let them get away since any attack you do wont matter.

They Devs want killers to be fun to play against, sadly Viable and fun to play against are almost never go together.

  • He'd essentially be a weaker hillbilly, I wouldn't mind this.

The fact that he's on a time limit and gets knocked out of his power if he misses an attack just makes me never want to touch that killer. I feel like you'll be in constant stun animations.

  • It does feel like the Devs have no clue about balance that or they're catering to survivors since their the majority and probably make them more money.

I Haven't played since MoM got released, It felt like a slap in the face to killers after a 2 year wait to balance DS. It's obvious the game has a Bias, just look at SWF and how game braking it is but nothings been done about it.

I'm waiting for the end game changes to make a final decision on if I'll uninstall or not. I Hope there's some good changes in their especially with all the second chance perks you can now stack as survivor making killers useless in the current end game.

I Just wish they'd buff solo survivor with the information SWF has and then buff killers powers accordingly to all be viable and give the trials some variety. It'd fix so much wrong with the game and be so much better for overall balance but for some reason they wont.

  • @F5arTheB5ard Yeah it's been like that since the Plauge Update, Anytime you leave a husk and go invisible you give a sound notification that nobody's heard in the game before. So survivors can tell when shes using her power.

People noticed right away and the Devs said it was not a nerf but a bug and it'll be patched.

  • That's the risk you take when purchasing a DLC, Killers always will be nerfed and buffed most of the time.

It's why I'm so cautious of buying a new Killer and haven't since spirit.
