  • If NOED didn't exist then dull totems would become pointless. Totems should be something survivors should be doing all the time, If everyone got into the habit of spending those few 14 seconds to cleanse a dull totem they come across then NOED wouldn't be as strong as it is.

It should be a high risk high reward perk but since nobody wants to do totems then It becomes low risk high reward due to the survivors. The problem isn't with NOED It's with people not taking dull totems seriously until it's too late.

  • The only answer is to buff solo's information sharing capabilities to be on par with SWF and then buff killers accordingly but that doesn't seem to be on their to do list.

Killer shouldn't expect to stomp a group every game.

I don't, I just recognize and can see when something is obviously unbalanced.

  • I think you misunderstand a lot of peoples frustrations with SWF.

It doesn't matter if you win or loose against them, The problem with SWF Is the potentional to be game braking that it has, Just like nurse. They Both can be beaten or unbeatable depending on who is playing them.

Just because something can be beaten doesn't make it balanced.

  • The Data sheets aren't reliable to draw conclusions from.

To be an accurate example of a full game they'd have to exclude at least ranks 20-15 that alone would change the results a lot in my opinion.

As well as that they'd have to exclude DCs and 3 man games to the kill count since those too shouldn't be considered when looking for an average in how actual games go.

Hopefully they will do the sheets again but this time divide everything by rank and with the new patch coming we wouldn't have to worry about 3 man games changing the results either.

  • Your suggestions would essentially make every save a safe unhook. Camping is part of the game like it or not. If the killer suspects someones going for the save they have every right to stay there and look for that other survivors.

I'll agree that face camping sucks but you can't do anything about that without it negatively effecting other gameplay.

In the end game when the gates are open Camping is a must, You can't risk letting a survivor get off the hook, blame the game design for that one. It's pretty easy to get to an open gate, your team can take hits, you can have DS, MoM, BT, DH, Adrenaline ect... It's just not worth it.

  • They play the game for sure, I think I remember them saying they have dedicated time set to actually play the game but I could be wrong.

I know a couple of them do stream on twitch but yes they tend to be around rank 15-7 and balance the game around rank 10 I believe.

  • The Data sheets are with all ranks including those new to the game, rank 20-15. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from it to be honest.

I'm sure if they did a rank 10+ the data would change drastically and even more if they just did red ranks.

  • I'd say that warrants a refund if you don't like the upgrade, send an email to support.

Changing a paid cosmetic after it's been sold... These Devs... They make some of the weirdest choices I've seen in games.

  • Default nurse is fine, it's some of her add ons that make her too strong.

But at the same time, as long as SWF is in the game nurse shouldn't be touched, both have potential to be game braking and rely on the person behind them.

  • I find Killer more fun but as for easier to play It's no doubt survivor. While I enjoy killer so much It does get pretty stressful sometimes where as when i play survivor I'm never stressed one bit.

Ultimately it'll depend on the game and your teammates so SWF would probably be the easiest but generally as a survivor if you're not running the killer or saving you're usually just holing M1 but when you play killer you have to micromanage so many different things like gens, hooks, totems as well as the survivors, Killers by default have so much more to do than survivors in terms of gameplay.

@Bongbingbing Okay, do you know when he said that? Can't find it, sadly.

I totally agree with you that it doesn't matter wether or not it was intentional or not. Here's to hoping she gets back to her old self soon!

I Think he said it over on reddit, I can't find the post though. Maybe the plauge update one since that's when it started.

  • Hmmm It wouldn't even be that strong of a perk to be honest, Good maybe useful on console but Nowhere near DS/MoM level.

If you want something as strong as MoM for killers It'd have to be an Insta down on the next hit of a survivor in the healthy state after already hitting them 3 times.

  • Mclean did say it was a Bug and it was going to be fixed.

It is a little suspicious that a Bug would cause new sounds that nobody has heard before conveniently places for when she phases or vaults to give warning of when she's using her power but to be honest, I don't care if it was intentional or not I just want them to fix it.

Sadly it's still in the PTB but let's hope It's gone by the time the patch comes out.

  • It's bad behavior that goes unpunished and honestly it's ruining the game. Why they haven't cracked down on DCs is beyond me...

  • You loose fear of things you become familiar with, This is especially the case with DBD. As soon as the new experience wears off you realize the game isn't actually scary, It has horror elements, that's it.

The only way a killer could be scary and remain scary is something like Hag, prayer beads spirit or no terror radius Myers, Jump scares are kind of the only true way to get scares once survivors become used to being chased by the killer.

There is some fear of the strongest killers but that isn't genuine scary as much as it is fear of loosing the game.

  • @legion_main said:

    @ShyN3ko

I never said they can 100% counter it every single time I said a lot of other killers can counter it too

    Billy has his chainsaw

    Leatherface also has his chainsaw

Trapper has traps (he can also freely get rid of MoM if he hits the survivor in his trap when they have it active)

Legion gets a free hit that doesent give a stack

Plague can vomit all over em

Nurses thing is a bug but even then she can easily down them anyways

Spirit can end the chase fast anyways

    Micheal has his tier 3

    you see what I mean?

That just means that there is no actual counter to it. A counter would be a thing any killer could do or a perk any killer could use to counteract MoM but there isn't.

Besides the argument of using an M2 attack as a counter is flawed. The killer doesn't know if anybody is using MoM, They'd essentially have to never use an M1 attack more than 3 times on every survivor in every game they play, That'd be an incredibly stupid way to play and almost definitely cost you the game.

@Bongbingbing Lol look at the clown 50%

Low rank survivors are dying like flies so clown should not have much problem with them.

I wonder how bad he is at red ranks :D

Is this why they didn't separate them in the first place? Please devs, tell us how bad the clown is at red ranks.

I really think they should do another set of Data sheets specific to red ranks. we all know there's a drastic difference between rank 20 and 1 and any results that are averaged between them aren't exactly the best to draw conclusions from.

  • The Data wasn't very detailed so you have to remember all the things that come into play. For instance it says Trapper has one of the highest kill rates on all platforms but also Trapper is mostly played at lowest ranks were killers generally do better.

I wish they separated the data from ranks especially the The Survival rate.

  • Sadly this is how the devs intended the killers to work, They said themselves that they don't make killers to be viable and because of that we end up with a very small portion of the killers being viable at red ranks.

Let's hope they get the wake up call they need and buff the weaker killers to give the game some much needed variety.

How do we get the devs to fix it? We are their customers, we are playing the game ... shouldn't they cater to us?

We've done all we can, the best we can do is post here in hopes that the right people see it or the community team pass on the message.

  • @MystiKasT said:

So how do we get it to stop going through walls?

You can't. Unless the devs fix it which is unlikely.

  • I really expected it to come after the update, Don't get me wrong a x2 bloodpoint even is always great but the current version of the game has so many issues that It doesn't seem like a good idea tbh. If they were more common I wouldn't see an issue but people wait so long for these events just to have one released in this patch is a shame.

Party streamers for some reason are bugging games and causing crashes, This is just going to get worse now that there's a bloodpoint event.

  • @Delfador said:

@Bongbingbing And nobody even complained, not even survivor mains.

This is something that I don't understand. There are things that they can fix without getting anybody angry and they don't even do that.

One of the things was hiding killers' loadout until the match ended, and the other thing was this coldwind wall adjustment. Sure there were a couple of threads but for the most part, everybody was okay with these changes.

They are pissing people for no reason by not fixing obvious flaws. I don't understand it.

Completely agree, It seems like they either don't have enough staff to tackle the issues or they are afraid to make some fixes in case there is backlash because no way should DS and the coldwind walls have taken 2 whole years to be fixed.

Either way something needs to change.

@Bongbingbing Dang, I only started 2 months ago. This problem has been around awhile, devs know of it, and have done nothing?

Basically yes. It's disappointing to see it go on for so long but on the bright side, It took 2 years to get the coldwind walls fixed so It might happen eventually.

  • It's a pretty game braking bug, Hopefully it'll be fixed mid-chapter patch.

Does anyone know if it's still an issue on PTB?

  • Been this way for so long now and brought up so many times to not be addressed, I've given up hope on this ever being fixed to be completely honest.

  • The two are completely different teams, one stopping wont make the other work any faster.

I do think they need to hire some more competent staff to deal with balance issues and bug fixes because they are notoriously slow at dealing with issues as well as not exactly having the best idea about the game's balance which is very worrying.

  • The first are rendered versions specifically made to look the best they can be, The cosmetics in game usually never meet those expectations. Best to try it out in the store when they come out and give it a good look to see if you like how it looks in game.

  • It's been bugged for a while now, Hopefully it's fixed in the Mid chapter patch but who knows...

I doubt that it will happen, this game is pretty much survivor sided, remember.

Oh I know, It's wishful thinking. The Devs have shown their bias and greed with the release and radio silence of MoM and have stated before they they don't make killers to be viable.

  • I agree, some maps are just too big for some killers to get around in, Map pressure is almost impossible. The problem is though is you make these maps smaller and it makes the strong killers even stronger.

Honestly, I'd rather see the lower tier killers get buffs to compensate for their weaknesses and bring some variety to the game at higher ranks.

  • Red ranks seem like a pain to be in, the long wait times and better pings would all fix themselves out if there were more players up there but there's no real reason for people to try and reach red ranks, quite the opposite actually. Maybe if they added a 1.5x Bloodpoints for players in red ranks It might give incentive for players to stay and reach for red ranks. or maybe a cosmetic reward each month for reaching rank 1.

As for Variety of Killers, this is something the Devs actually decided. They said themselves they don't make killers to be viable and as a result of this you only have a very small portion of the killers being played in the high ranks. I hope they change their mindset on this and make all killers viable at red ranks, It'd give the game so much more variety and make the game a lot less boring. Playing the same killers over and over all while doing the same objective of gens over and over gets stale quickly, at least if there were every killer up in red ranks you'd have to play the objective differently.

  • If I like how they play and can do the job at higher ranks then absolutely.

Not only that, it's also ridiculous to expect a Billy using m2 against an injured survivor. No point to make downing someone even harder.

This is why the argument of it being countered by an M2 killer is so stupid. Yes potentially it could be if killer only every M2s in every game just in case of a perk which aside of huntress is idiotic to do and for someone like Billy much more difficult to do.

The perk needs a rework plain and simple, The Devs messed up big time.

  • This still doesn't make the perk balanced.

The Pay off of MoM Is one of the best pay off in the game at a moment when you should be going down, It needs counter play yes but it also needs a serious drawback for the serious reward it gives.

  • M2 attacks aren't available to every killer so no there's no actual Game play counter other than face camping, Ridiculous I know.

  • Honestly I don't know why this hasn't already become a thing. Cypress mori's are kind of useless.

  • They have one of these as a spawn already, I've only seen it once but on a macmillan map there's a corner of the water tank that has three wooden crates forming an L shape so the totem is completely blocked from LOS and you have to go in between the crates to actually see it. It's good.

I also wish they'd adjust how totems look, maybe add some blood to the skulls to help them hide better and reduce the lighting of the Hex since they're so easy to spot.

  • They really need to change how dark Macmillan and some other maps are, It's crazy.

  • Survival Rate of Solo + 2, 3 and 4 man Teams excluding rank 20-15 if possible.

  • Complaining? I don't see OP Complaining simply asking for a killer perk of the same equivalent to MoM.

If "MoM is Fine" then this suggestion shouldn't be a problem.

  • @Tru3Lemon said:

Why ppl still complain about MoM you got billy with chainsaw or leatherface or pig ambush attack i dislike the idea imagen a killer that have enduring bbq ruin and this perk insane

So you think MoM is fair but a killer having the same isn't?

MoM can be stacked with second chance perks and other strong perks so I don't see why it's any different.

  • If nothing is done about MoM this is the next best solution, It's only fair.

  • Yes please! I hate the horse blinders default FOV it's ridiculously small.

i kinda think there should be a perk called mettle of monster that does the opposite to mettle of man

Agreed, I'd much rather they rework the perk to be balanced but seeing as they've only fixed it to work against nurse and are seeing how that plays out I don't think they;re going to change it anytime soon so second best option is a killer equivalent.

  • That's the spirits whole thing though, she phases in and out of existence.

Her passive phasing and no vault animation give her that little bit extra she needs so you have to keep on your toes guessing if she's about to use her power.

The spirits weakest point is Vault spots, I think it's fair she has no vault animation to compensate.

  • Hillbilly is probably the most balanced killer as he is.

    Nurse without added blinks.

Spirit when they remove the sound effect when she vaults/phases and when sounds are eventually fixed.

  • @naiad

You can't. Unless you've faced all 4 of them before and recognize them. I didn't say you could prepare but a killer can at least just stick to the strongest characters incase they run into a good SWF.

This is another problem SWF Brings, A Killer has a bad experience with a weaker killer against a SWF so they choose to switch to the strongest killers with good add ons to try stop it happening again and end up wrecking a team of solos who didn't stand a chance. The same can be said for survivors loosing only to team up on a SWF and end up wrecking a weaker Killer.

When you have two extremes on each side the ones in the middle suffer.

  • Pinhead would be so much better than ghostface, I hope this is real!
