  • The Devs tend to reuse the same mechanics when designing perks and powers, Borrowed time got a buff because it used the same deep wound mechanic as legions power.

When legions power was changed to have the killer not be able to see the timer of deep wound or not have it go down while in the killers terror radius due to the fact that some players would exploit his power these changes where also done for borrowed time.

When the stun was 3 sec enduring have no effect so my guess is ether they will keep it 5 sec or maybe they will help the killers and make it 4. They say that 3 sec was to short.

4 seems like a fair compromise. I just feel like keeping it at 5 while nerfing enduring will just make DS even stronger in end game where it's already a very good perk.

  • It kind of depends, If you're constantly loosing people due to the scratchmarks then It could work for you.

If the game worked this perk would be great on spirit but in the games current state both scratch marks and sound are broken and unreliable so I'd personally go with a stronger perk.

  • Same goes for perks.

I wish they'd release the actual numbers to the differences, even if outside of the game. They have the numbers there so it's such a shame they don't.

  • Have to agree, I hate power bars to be honest, It's so limiting.

All I want is a Killer with a simple M2 power like a lot of the older killers but all we've been getting lately is overly complex powers with limitations and rules.

  • @EqMonkVeeshan Hate to brake it to you but there's footage of the Battlepass in game, It's coming.

  • Honestly I feel like nurse is needed solely because of SWF. Both are OP in the right hands.

  • They did say Gameplay reveal of the Freddy rework will be shown in two weeks on May 16th, It lines up.

They'll probably announce Ghostface too no doubt since everybody already knows.

  • The problem with buffing wiggle perks is that wiggling free is supposed to be a rarity. It's there so the killer can't just hold you the whole game or bring you to the basement every time.

Enduring wont effect any stuns outside of pallets from now on so if it was possible to wiggle free easily with 1 or 2 perks it'd be pretty game braking.

  • Fog whispers are nothing more than promotion for the game in return for in-game rewards.

They're not held to a higher standard because they are nothing more then streamers who keep viewers interested in the game.

It does suck that BHVR don't realize their are promoting some toxic players indirectly. Yes they might have large followings and give numbers to the game which is what the program is about but It also makes it seem like they support that kind of behavior in games. I just wish they'd label the fog whisperer program more accurately to what it is so it doesn't seem like they support toxicity.

  • It's been like this for a couple of months now i believe, You can be walking around the corner of a pallet and still get stunned.

  • I don't think so, It's rude and unsportsmanlike but if we made every kind of BMing bannable in a game like this with the community it's got, Players would be banned left right and center. I'd much rather they focus on more serious issues than a 3 minute slug.

Just like when a survivor is hiding and wasting time when the gates are opened, It sucks and doesn't feel good but the new End game collapse is designed specifically to minimize how long these kinds of things go on for.

  • I believe so, The blades don't stack anymore and the timer for borrowed time and legions deep wound were changed so they don't go down while in the killers terror radius, so moonwalking wont bring it down anymore.

  • There might be more killers than survivors sure, that's a possibility but honestly all I see is the Devs making Balance changes.

Just because one side gets a nerf doesn't mean the other has to too, That's not how balance works. To say that only survivors receive nerfs is just wrong, Just look at legion he was considered unfun for survivors so they changed/nerfed him.

The MoM potential nerf is completely needed, It's not situational because to get it to trigger you just have to play the game. There's no set up required, you don't have to work for it and it gives one of the best pay offs in the game. An instaheal when you should be going down, a speed burst to get away and the killer is slowed down to wipe their weapon. This kind of high reward should take a bigger set up, and that's what the potential nerf could do.

The reason you don't see as much killer sided nerfs is because believe it or not, the game is survivor sided. Killer's tend to not get as great perks as survivors do so you don't see the need for them to be nerfed.

  • It's much more then DH, Deadhard will give you slight distance and you have to time it right for when the killer swings. This gives counterplay to the perk.

MoM on the other hand, as it is now is automatic on a moment when you should be going down giving you an instaheal, a speed burst (much more then DH) and slows the killer down to wipe their weapon, all this combines with no counterplay and the fact that it can be stacked with perks like DH or other second chance perks and you see the problem?

  • Well that's a shame.

Why though, What reasons did they give?

  • I'm going to post what i did in another thread to try help you understand why a change was needed for MoM.

The pay off for MoM is just too strong to have it be so easy to trigger and at such a crucial time.

Think about it, you get an insta heal, a speed burst and the killer is slowed all when you should be going down. That's one of the best pay offs in the game and the fact that the requirements are something that happens naturally in a game and require no set up is what made it even more powerful. Combine all this with the other second chance perks you can use and then multiply that by 4 and you see why a change is needed. and then there's the no counter play aspect too.

  • Protection hits if they decide on this of the many changes they have in mind would be a welcomed good change in my mind.

  • This is what I'm most excited for too. Sounds have been busted for such a long time it's going to be great If it gets to a point where you can actually rely on sounds again.

  • The perk was broken by design, there's no doubt about that.

At least now with it requiring protection hits rather than regular it feels more balanced. It's still going to be a strong perk.

As for refunds, You should've known this was coming. People have expected a nerf since before the DLC was even released.

  • This is a nice change.

It'll still be a very strong perk but at least now it feels more balanced.

  • This has to be a joke 🤣 You want a free escape after failing, You already got your second chance with hatch, the third chance with the gates is harder and it should be.

  • It looks fake but then again it could be very early placeholders so who knows.

Surely a Dev or CM could confirm if it is indeed fake? It's been going around for a while I would have thought it would have been debunked by now.

  • I try not to, to a point, It kind of depends how fast the game is going.

I don't see a problem with it unless you're actively seeking out a single person. If it happens due to circumstances in the game then I have no issue, If someone runs into me or they're the only person i can find I'm going to hit them, I'm not going to follow made up rules and let them get away.

  • If you're spotted by the killer during end game collapse that's been triggered by the killer closing the hatch you shouldn't expect to escape. It's game over at that point. You failed the main objective and where given a second chance with hatch and a third with the gates when the hatch was closed.

A tip to help you when your the last alive. If you don't know where the hatch is then stay by an exit gate, when the killer closes the hatch you'll have 20 seconds to open the gates and escape, I've seen a lot of people do it and it works most of the time. either the killer goes to the wrong gate or the hatch is just too far from the gate that the killer cant even run there in time.

Overall its a problem with the gate spawns, Sometimes they're too close and others they're too far, but that's how RNG works.

  • I'd rather that the initial kick gives a 10% regression and then it decreases as normal. As it is now kicking a gen with another survivor in the area is pointless since they loose barely any regression and can just be tapped to stop.

  • The only thing I don't like about The Ghosts outfit is the floating streams of fabric. If he's supposed to be peaking from corners those things are a dead giveaway. Hopefully he'll have a dark mask and a body without those streams so he can be actually sneaky.

  • I'm excited for a lot of things like Freddy and Ghostface but what I'm hoping for most is a MoM Rework. It's horrible for the game, If there's no rework by the next chapter I'll be seriously disappointed in the devs even more then I already am.

  • If gates are made to be on opposite sides of the map then closing the hatch would be a bad idea for most killers who don't have mobility. You'd be basically giving the survivor a 50% chance at survival since gates take 20 seconds and getting to both gates in 20 seconds after closing the hatch wouldn't be possible for most killers. Killers would just end up waiting by the hatch until the person runs into them or gives away their location.

For a third chance after failing I don't think it should be that easy to escape. You fail the objective and you get a second chance with the hatch, You fail to get this second chance and are given a third chance. I think leaving it up to RNG is perfectly fine.

This way you have games where survivor sided and some where it's killer. I've seen it done multiple times since the update a survivor waits by the gate, hatch is closed and the gates are open and the survivor is gone before the killer can even get to the gate.

  • Chucky could fit for sure, It'd just take a bit more work with some new animations and FOV change.

The main problem with a Killer as small as chucky would be his FOV, Killers already have a very small FOV and putting it on a shorter character would be a nightmare to work with since you'd have a camera full of grass/corn or objects. It'd be unplayable. The only way a killer that small could work is if they had the same FOV as a survivor in third person. Weather that be a perk or just for small killers like chucky.

The other problems would be a bit eaiser to fix, his holding a survivor animation could be just dragging them along have an ankle or something on his shoulder. He could fling the survivor up onto the hook too there's a couple different possibilities you could do with his interaction animations to not make it look silly.

  • I really wish they'd give numbers for Perks/add ons even if just for the wiki so people can know what the exact changes instead of guessing.

  • If they change how end game hooks work then sure but as it is now, Camping or patrolling a hook when the gates are open is the only way to secure that kill due to adrenaline, bodyblocking and all the second chance perks.

  • Give it some time, people probably just want to see the new animations for the kills. I'm sure the amount of people slugging to see the animation will die down.

If we changed every aspect of the game so there was no BMing on either side there wouldn't be much of the game left.

  • Most likely they should have Data available and there to make decisions from, We seen with DS that it got buffed in a matter of days after the rework.

The perk is broken by Design, I find it difficult to believe they didn't know that when making it and wanted it to be OP to sell Ash and chose money over balance. My guess is they're waiting for ash's DLC sales to slow down before touching the perk, if they even do.

Also to anyone saying this perk is fine clearly doesn't understand how game changing a free second hit can be. It's an insta heal that triggers automatically when you should be going down and gives you a sprint burst too, It's one of the best pay offs in the game and there's no counterplay for the killer. If that's completely fine then a Killer perk that insta downs a survivor in the healthy state after hitting them 3 times previously would also be fine?

  • Seems like he's stand alone which I don't mind seeing how clueless the devs have been with Survivor perks recently.

  • Probably because of "Naming and shaming".

Honestly I've given up hope they'll ever hold fog whisperers to some sort of standard, Some of them aren't the best representatives of the game but I Think BHVR just see fog whisperers as people who bring Views to the game and nothing more.

I just wish they'd be honest with the program and call it like it is.

  • Like others have said the killer can't see the aura of the hatch, you must have been misinformed.

The hatch already is a free second chance at escape when you loose the game, and not only that when it's closed you get a third chance with the gates. How much more can you ask for?

  • Regarding the change to the Basement was the It the Basement stairs or Killers or Survivors hitboxes that were changed?

  • In your situation, there's 2 gates. If the killers protecting one go to the other.

I don't get why people think a third chance escape should be so easy even tho it already kind of is depending on where the hatch and gates spawn.

You Lost the game and failed your objective but you're given a second chance to escape via the Hatch. You loose the race to the hatch and the killer closes it and you get given a third less likely chance to escape. I don't see the problem here.

  • I know this is all sarcasm but could you imagine a nurse with those changes? She'd literally never be able to catch up to a survivor 😂

  • It seems like a useless perk tbh, I hope the other two are interesting maybe one hopefully strong.

  • You have a second chance at escape when you loose by finding The Hatch before the killer.

If the Killer finds the hatch before you and closes it you get a Third less likely but still possible chance to escape. I don't see the problem, It's a third chance It shouldn't be so easy.

20 Seconds isn't a long time. I've seen already plenty of times survivors will stay by the door and have it open by the time the killer closes the hatch and makes his way to one of the two doors.

  • They're probably trying to see the end game death animation, If they were going to let you bleed out to BM you they'd do that anyways, nothings changed except you might die quicker.

  • I'd actually like that, A new survivor would be nice but at least I wouldn't have to worry about them introducing a new MoM level of balance perk.

  • It's a shame, the basement felt scary because you could be blocked in if the killer knew you where down there.

Killers like Plague, Billy, Leather face, Myers, trapper, Pig all could utilize the body blocking of the basement making it a terrifying place to be if they followed you down.

Though now that I think about it it seems like another big reason for the change could've been to make basement saves safe in the end game collapse, Removing killers potential to be strong in a place on the map where they're supposed to have the advantage.

I wish they'd have done it a different way that removed games being held hostage but didn't end up making the basement so safe.

  • I like the design so that's a positive but looking at his power it could either be good or bad depending on the gauges and stuns, I'll have to wait till PTB and if they change him, release too to see how he plays.

That said If I do buy him it'll be at least 2 weeks after he's released in case he gets nerfed.

  • He has 2 parts to his power aswell as being able to crouch and peek behind corners. His Main power is going into a hunt mode where his terror radius is decreased and Maybe a speed boost, we can't be sure yet. And then there's the second part of his ability, His m2 is a stalking mode like myers but we can assume this is only on one survivor at a time.

I'm guessing how he'll be played is to hide/crouch/peek around corners and stalk until someone becomes exposed and then go into the main power of no terror radius attack.

I don't think tunneling would be effective on him since his powers don't seem to help at all in a chase but we can't be sure until we get to test him in the ptb.

  • @Angelicus23 said:

Remember he's not out yet and there is a ptb before. I'm so excited to try him

Me too! I'm actually genuinely curious didnt mean to come of sarcastic. It seems like he could go either way with his power to be honest.

  • So his primary power is to go into a hunt and have no terror radius? Maybe a run similar to legion. and secondary is he can stalk similar to Myers but on a single target i presume.

I'm guessing how he'll be played is to hide/crouch/peek around corners and stalk until someone becomes exposed and then go into the main power of no terror radius attack... I wonder how that'll work out.

  • I personally don't mind leaks, I think the devs drag out the chapter reveals a bit too long in my opinion.
