Do you not know what it’s like to play a game with friends?
killing SWF will kill this game
-
ITT: people who dont play at high ranks or understand what makes a killer strong/weak
he is VERY weak, think about it like this: 2-3 Survivors rush a hook, huntress can spam hatchets and get multiple downs, deathslinger cannot and will get out rushed
-
cmon man just wait another year, dont be impatient!!!
seriously though, the time it takes for even minor tweaks to perks is an insult to players
-
Something as powerful as an ebony has no place in a game with a ranking system
thats just objectively correct
-
I stopped playing for awhile, got reset 3 times and am now a red rank player in brown ranks
its both a blessing and a curse

He has a harpoon gun which he can use to shorten the distance between him and survivor in way more efficient way than most of the other killers. He has small terror radius which combined with Monitor and Abuse is as big as Myers' Tier 2. Really, stop complaining that he is slow and focus on his strong sides which you can take advantage of.
He's a 1-shot huntress with limited range and a ranged attack that cannot down people on it's own AND he has no form of pressure
110% on him is really bad, stop defending an obviously poor design
-
I mean its how it should be, making TR and not distance nullifies the entire reason the perk exists
-
I've done it to chill/test meme builds or just play with low level friends
whats better, 3 brown ranks vs. a red rank killer, or 1 red rank vs a brown rank killer.
-
- He makes the holding M1 "gameplay" even more boring
- Being asleep deletes Borrowed Time since the devs refuse to make it based on distance, not TR for some reason
Spirit is killer on training wheels but at least you do something, most Freddy Players just spam snares and bloodlust til the game lets them catch up
-
healing against a legion is like cleansing vs. Plague
you don't do it
-
Imagine defending something like an ebony
something that powerful has no place in a game if the devs want to act like they want it balanced
-
Yes its fine, stop trying to punish people for wanting to get out of a game
/endthread

He has no pressure at all
You'd think the Devs would realize this design flaw by now
to add onto this, lets ask a question: What makes a killer good?
Simply put, if the killer can apply pressure and end chases fast, they are good, if not, then they are not.
Spirit, Billy, and Nurse are obvious, they can end chases extremely quickly as they movement speed from their kits allows them to. Huntress is a toss up and she is heavily map dependent, Oni as well if he can start snowballing with his power.
But Hag, Legion, Clown, Deathslinger, and everyone else really suffers from their power being High risk-lowish reward. Sure, legion and deathslinger can get quick first hits, but legion suffers from a long stun and Deathslinger is punished hard for missing a shot which is more precise than Huntress without guaranteed damage. This is compounded with many maps being so large a gen can pop before you can even get to it.
Spirit's power is simple: She moves fast but cannot physically see people. That's it. It's nothing flashy or "cool" its just speed, and that's all a killer needs. Deathslinger has a gun that can be easily dodged and has a long recovery and the person shot can be body blocked, spirit suffers from none of these.

he needs a buff
he has 0 pressure

First of all - it takes survivors being braindead for a mori to be an "automatic win" for a killer. Secondly, let me throw this at you - imagine you have 2 people hooked in the EGC. A gate is obviously opened. One kobe's and unhooks the other. The unhooker has borrowed time, they both have DS. Where is the "playing around that"?
As I said, it needs to be conditional. Now run along and keep ignoring logic by saying "it can be played around".
I play both survivor and killer at Reds, and have even before that lost meaning
Playing around DS IS easy, in fact, if you are getting to EGC and they are more than 2 people up, you have already lost and any kills at that point are empty (unless they did something royally stupid)
Defending ebonies in the year 2020 makes me think you have never played a balanced Multiplayer game, there is a reason something that powerful only exists in games as a power-up (like Rockets in Halo), not something you can bring into an otherwise mostly even game.
-
All they have to do, the only thing: Make better maps
compare Father Campbell's to most other maps, and you will understand the root problem of this game
-
I played her for a long time
if you use stridor, you are playing the game with omega training wheels

Delete DS. Then you can delete the only counter to it. KEKW
taking an offering that, unless the killer is braindead, is an immediate loss for survivors and comparing it to a perk that can easily be played around if you have 2 braincells is idiotic
-
Delete Ebony and im fine with anything

“Any killer is good in skilled hands”
Ergo there aren’t any bad killers.
There are just killers that are more misunderstood by the majority than others.
Clown being the absolute best example of this.
If there were a way I could personally view all other players using Clown, i’d bet money that most of them aren’t using him properly.
That’s not how that argument works at all lmfao
taking the very extreme players who can make clown work does not mean he is somehow good. He is an M1 killer who’s power does nearly nothing for him and can get looped without any effort.
It’s like classic WoW, you can make Ret Paladin WORK under very specific circumstances and if you are very knowledgeable on it, but it is still one the worst specs in the game.
saying “there are no bad killers” is objectively wrong and if you really believe that then I’m inclined to believe you don’t have as much knowledge on this game as you think.

That won’t happen.
He needs some teeny tiny buffs.
But he’s not weak. Far from it. He’s quite oppressive in skilled hands.
Any killer is good in “skilled hands”
that doesn’t make them good, spirit and billy are good while clown is at the bottom Of the barrel with legion
-
Is this a Nerf Clown thread?
good luck
-
Its how moris should be
they shouldnt be able to completely wreck a game simply because the killer wants to go on a power trip and ruin the experience for 4 other players
-
yo why you snitching

He was rude about it. And i made this thread specifically to share different ideas on how to play the killer. Not crap on each other's ideas while offering none of their own in return.
he wasnt at all lmao, you post on the forums an idea and someone critiqued it
the sky isnt falling
-
because this game runs like some hot garbage
i can play anything at or near max, i play DBD on low for consistent frames, its just the game
-
Just make it auto struggle with a button to suicide
this whole idea that you need to spam a key to not die is aids and doesn't account for numerous reasons you may mess up IE sneezing, lag etc
-
@chrimsonDragon0 said:
The deathslinger imo is fast enough as he is because he has a range weapon why should he be fast enough to shoot us when he right on us although he already does and a longer range is unnecessary because his range is already well outside his terror radios. I'm my opinion he can be an overpowered killer.
He is not OP at all, he's actually pretty weak

So, share your ideas on things to try instead of just crapping on other peoples?
he correctly points out flaws with your strat and you get upset
these forums in a nutshell

Either
a. 115%
or
b. longer range
then hes fine imo

Because the game is stupid like that.
You cant even call it survivor sided, its ... baby survivor sided.
IT takes away any reward from having any experience with the game, normally in a game you learn to recognise things but here, it flat out tells you everything the entire time.
Its just sad all around.
Cant wait for future patches telling survivors BBQ is in effect or Nurses Calling and that they are currently within the killers range of sight, or I'm All Ears with a little timer on the right of the screen so they know when its off, good times.
This is what i've been saying, especially with ruin and shack nerfs
granted Peanits replied to me when I asked and said they know people are against the Shack change, but they do tend to cater to new players
-
I've been playing him, he suffers from a lot of the same map issues
a lot of these maps are the size of a small nation, rotten fields in particular has this issue AND corn
its a horrible map design philosophy
-
its almost like this is a video game and people want to win

Only that one shack, for now at least. If it ends up being a huge hit, it could always make its way into other maps as well. Though from what I've seen, a lot of people have reservations about touching the shack in any way.
Breakable walls arent bad themselves, but shack is a staple on every map and is one of the only loops that takes a degree of skill to run/mindgame as opposed to just running around a safe loop. like on Cowshed or Thompson house which can spawn multiple safe loops back to back.
to be able to delete it is a slap in the face to those who want some form of skill in the game
-
its map design
if people dont know this by now then i wager they dont understand the game at all
as to OP, its kinda obvious huntress is just better
-
@Trwth said:
I’d call those “quality of life” changes, not buffs. I’m sure that BHVR has plans to tinker with weaker Killers somewhere down the line, but that takes time. We’re just gonna have to be patient.
ive never seen people so happy with getting the bare minimal effort from a dev team
any other game would be trashed, but i guess thats what happens when there is no real competition

Disagree. For killers it is a great map to have given it is an inside map/many pallets are unsafe.
lmao thats not fun
being able to just hold W on 90% of pallets isnt good gameplay for either side; it has no skill or mindgames involved at all. there is a reason the higher end of players prefer maps like Azarovs as they are more balanced.
and inside maps are not really good for killers. take huntress, you are almost always forced to hold W and M1 and as a ranged 110% killer, that is an awful experience.
-
i'd rather they change hawkins
its horrible for both sides
-

Why would anyone care if moris and keys are nerfed anyways. Any decent player knows there both op and unfun
but people want to be able to live their power fantasy over others
seriously, they are a disaster in balanced game design

everyone knows this, everyone has been asking for it
but it wont happen
-
Legion mains fuming
-
It's fine
next topic
-
imagine defending "aim dressing"
-
When I see a nurse “ok i probably have to actually try”
When I see legion “lol”

i hate this game unironically

The “Spirit is easy” statement is so idiotic. How many good Spirit players do you run into? It’s few and far between because most players just aren’t that good including survivors. So when a mediocre Spirit runs into good survivors they get stomped because all they’ve been doing is stomping potatoes. I don’t know where all these amazing Spirits are that people go against. Most of the ones I go against are boosted.
She’s not as easy as people keep saying she is. Play her against a good team on Blood Lodge, any farm map, any gigantic map, or basically any survivor-sided map and she’s going to get gen rushed like any other killer.
She’s great in a chase (if you’re good) and can end chases quickly but she doesn’t have the map pressure AND chase ability to be completely overbearing like players claim she is.
If people wanna use Stridor on Spirit it’s their choice. Players aren’t going to feel bad about using DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Borrowed Time, etc...why should I feel bad that I run Stridor on Spirit because somebody thinks it’s “a crutch” and that makes me bad?
I play Huntress primarily, played spirit for awhile
she is extremely easy when compared to huntress who takes a level of skill, holding W and ending chases without any effort is boring-same reason i dropped Nurse a long time ago.
Stridor makes Spirits effortless gameplay even easier, its not even comparable to DS or Noed since those have limits and can be played around. stridor simply spirit into a game of sonar thats made already easy by default due to how loud many survivors cry in pain

Again, guy is hooked, so you run up with killer still there and do unhook cause ohpee toxic sURvIvOrS can do that :)
they already can, its only undetectable, like freddy who are immune to it
its inconsistency at its finest
-
i say yes bc you have to be some type of person to care enough to slug with an ebony
its a game, living a power fantasy is only fun for 1 side
-
where is the "delete" option?
