I don't know how this happened on YouTube one day.
I have no idea how. Imagine National Geo making an End Game Piggy vid.

I guess they just have to do 5 More.

When killers are loading into games with a full loadout of an offering that impacts the game of the survivors severely like a mori and then rare or ultra rare add-ons and then ending the games as quickly as they do either because of altruistic survivors being mauled or selfish survivors who ultimately end up dying on forced end game because they literally refuse to help anyone off hooks or people who get tunneled, what do they even benefit from doing that except wasting everyone's time and being a dick? Seriously I don't get the appeal and I never play like that.....#########.....
I have had consecutive games where I literally cannot function or play this game at all with the toxic killers tonight game after game it has been moris after first hook, tunneling and soft/hard camping. I just got out of a match with a cannibal who did the typical insidious basement camping on a random and I felt bad not saving them so I went down there and he ended up doing the same thing to the other survivors that would come save us. I have 1500 hours in the game and am almost devotion 6. There needs to be some kind of penalty or harsher punishment for killers who play like this.
Consecutive games one after another for no reason at the beginning of the game, taking advantage of newer players that I get matched up with because of broken matchmaking. I mean its ######### ridiculous and unbearable at this point. Devs need to do something about this or honestly I will not play this game anymore and I totally understand why someone new would not want to continue playing after games like that.
They're in the process of doing something.
I don't know what, it was addressed in their survey. I'm just curious to know what they're planning.

I think it's because they didn't actually remove the things people were complaining about before, they just changed them to different things that are equally as valid to complain about. That's the thing, they changed it yes, but they didn't fix it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not on these forums making constant DS hate threads or anything, but the complaints I see are very valid, and to ignore them is just kinda... ignorant.
lol or maybe killers should be more AWARE when there's an obsession.
Or count to 60.
It's not hard.

The reason that we ask for an ingame report is to actually prove that the match took place first of all, the support ticket is required for actual proof that something occurred which is why we ask for video evidence as much as possible. And this goes for all platforms, reports from all platforms are considered but without proof of something happening - we cannot take action.
Will it be possible in the future to change the system so that people wouldn't have to create a forum profile and validate their e-mail address in order to submit information?
I believe a lot of players are deterred whey they're being asked several questions only to report a player, there might be too many steps in the process.

Dude, there's isn't a word to say i totally agree with you...
What make me laugh is when they use the argument of "DS on end game is uncounterable"
Why did you let survivors make it to end game?
Should survivors be punished by killers mistakes by not preventing the gens from getting done?
You can counter this by: Not letting gens get done.
But well you know streamers word is gospel and you should follow it, if X streamer says X thing is op.. it is OP!
Yeah, if survivors already made it to end game and they're not on death hook, that's on the killer.
Don't blame the survivor, don't punish the survivor for the mistakes of the killer.

Well, that part is true. Just putting a perk with similar power there for comparison. And I was more referring to Nurse Basekit than the addons. She didn't need the basekit cooldown.
I guess both types of mains just need to stop with petty quarrels and work on proper balance instead. : P
Proper balance is fine until people want free kills or free escapes handed to them.
DS prevents the killer from single-targeting one player and has the killer play differently.
DS Forces the killer to play more aware of his/her surroundings, and know who's been unhooked and who hasn't.

Oh man just stfu classic only survivor player who sucks playing killer. In red ranks 95% OF EVERY GAME AT LEAST 1 PERSON is running ds. And when you can use it TWICE it gives EVERY survivor 2 MINUTES of time can you count to 120? 1 and a half generator in 120 seconds so is that. AND WHEN EVERY SURV RUNS IT THAN COUNT THE SECONDS. Pathetic
If you can't count to 60 or keep tabs on a player who has just been hooked then you're either 4 years old or can't play killer.
You're not entitled to kills every match, stop tunneling, count to 60, know who's been unhooked and gg.
Or you can just admit that your'e 4 and you can't count to 60, then I'd be okay with DS being nerfed.
Oh and....
I'm a killer main and survivor Rank 1.
And I'm okay with DS.
-
I like it.
Drop Nurse to B Tier though.
She's like....A-, B+ tier on PC though.
-
So the killer can just quit chase and run back to the unhooked survivor like what killers already do when Make Your Choice is active.
This isn't a good compromise, the killer will easily stay the distance away and just run back to the same survivor.
It happens a lot with Make Your Choice and Devour Hope.

Yet no one say that and @BigBrainMegMain debunked their arguments pretty well, nice try tho.
The thing is they can't provide proof of their own.
They have no proof, no video, no actual MEAT to their own argument. I've seen them post videos of streamers, thinking that's the normality of the situations when in fact it rarely happens to anyone. So rare that they, themselves have 0 proof of their own that this is affecting them.
I've yet to see any proof of THEIR OWN, any video, anything substantial to let us know that DS is ruining their gameplay.
Because they cannot. It happens to them once, then they get on a new profile and start complaining on how Decisive Strike is causing them PTSD.

Rank 1 survivor main again like ive said multiple times. There are perks that completly shutdown the killer like calm spirit on doctor and slippery meat on trapper allowing to see the killer would allow you to run those perks or do something else to screw them over. See they chose hag? All flashlights and urban evasion. See they chose wraith? Again flashlights to knock him out of shroud. This should never be a thing i can see what survivors you are because its basically a skin. Killers have full fledged powers that you can counter with perks. Not biased want the game to be alittle fair.
Franklin's.

Oh, do you blink in place?

I like how you try to spin it with phrases like, "Doesn't want to put in the work".
If someone is injured and they're easy to find, that's the logical choice for the killer to go after. There's little reason for the killer to intentionally do something that has a negative effect on their goal.
If I complained that there were four gens to pick from but the survivors picked the one that was almost finished to repair because they "didn't want to put in the work" to repair one with no progress at all, I'd sound like an idiot.
"Doesn't want to put in the work"
Am I lying? How is that untrue? Why does tunneling exist then? Why is it so common?
Ask yourself then, why does the killer tunnel someone off hook? Why does a noob killer tunnel someone off hook instead of going for the unhooker? Because it's easier than going for the uninjured survivor. Is that a lie?
Yes, it's the logical choice, I'm not arguing with you there.
MY argument is when killers complain about getting hit with DS.
Go ahead and tunnel, but don't come to the forums and complain about DS when you know for a fact such perk exists.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1258338#Comment_1258338
While you make valid points this is my attempt to get you to see one of the issues with DS
Short story long. Ling Ling tried to locker juke me and I snatched her out of the locker and hooked her! Yui tried to finish the gen (the one I kicked in the video), but she lead me on a chace long enough for me to bloodlust twice (I suck at mindgaming don't judge me), until she made the mistake of throwing a pallet down too early and making a run to save Ling Ling which resulted in her getting yeeted from a save. Jane was unhooked when I started chasing Ling Ling and was on the far side of the map
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhke0kH3gD0
The point that I'm trying to get at is why did I get punished for Ling Ling and Yui making a mistake in their chases?
Dude, you're already doing well. This is what I was also talking about....
You're doing SO well, does a 5 second stun really hinder your entire gameplay?
No, it doesn't, you're doing so well, 2 people are injured and you're managed to hook multiple people before 1 gen even popped.
DS isn't an issue for you, there is no need to complain about it.
-
@Bovinity said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1258375#Comment_1258375
The real question then is, "Why does the killer see you as an easy kill?"
If you're the weak link, you're not being "tunneled". You're just not doing your job.
Because you're injured.
You're 1 Hit then you down as opposed to the survivor who is doing the unhooking.
Having DS, prolongs the chase, therefore enabling me to do my job. So the killer doesn't want to put in the work and go for the unhooker, instead he wants an easy down and goes for someone like ME.
I use my DS, and prolongs the chase even further, leading to frustration because the killer's plans aren't going how he wanted them to go.
Then they come to the forums and beg the devs to nerf DS so they can have their easy downs and easy hooks.
And the cycle begins anew.

Blood Warden is amazing.
I have a lot more respect for a killer who uses Blood Warden than NOED.
It's a lot more respectable, I'll tell you that. It needs the killer to hook a survivor WHILE the gates are opened as opposed to NOED that just activates while the killer is eating a burrito.

No.
This DS is extremely abusable and is about 54 seconds of complete immunity. Hop on a gen, whoop, killer cant do anything.
Killer just got some pressure? Throw yourself at them, they'll likely forget the ds and lose half the snwball they just earned.
DS isn't anti-tunnel, it is the most abusable bully perk there is with 0 Skill or practice behind it. They might slug? Locker.
Killer can't do anything?
You're telling me all the killer has is stare at the survivor?
SLUG. My God, SLUG.
YOU chose to open that locker, find someone else? You can't seriously count to 60?
REALLY?! 60 seconds? You're not AWARE enough to keep tabs on what survivors you've hooked in the past minute?
REALLY?! This conversation, on a daily basis is so tiresome because killers want easy kills by tunneling with no consequences.
Tunneling and camping takes 0 skill and 0 practice as well, and I've seen the mindless drones of killers who tunnel the survivor and ignore everything and everyone in their path to get to the unhooked survivor, it's pathetic and THESE are the killers complaining about DS the most.
Jesus Lord in Mighty Heaven these killers.......

@CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:
Heyo, so today I wanna talk about my top 3 killers, their playstile and my opinion on each one. This is just my opinion and you're welcome to argue with me in the comments.
Let's start with the strongest of the bunch, imo, good old Sally, the nurse. People believe that she's useless because of her rework, but I absolutely believe that the rework was a success. The cooldown was well deserved and her add-ons aren't awful anymore (except the red add-ons which I believe are the worst red add-ons in the game). Nurse is the hardest to both play and master character because she doesn't get looped normally, you need to predict accurately where she's gonna go. A good nurse predicts your predictions and can dominate easily. Nurse is the most non-addon dependant killer, unlike for example wraith, and when you get good with her she's extremely strong. Something I don't actually enjoy is her huge skill cap. I tried to learn her for more than a month, and I decided to stop because I had severe depression after all those loses.
Let's continue with spirit, my personal favorite and main. She is loopable only when she doesn't have her ability and she's not as braindead as other killers. Imo, trying to master spirit is extremely difficult, and I can say that even tho I main her for more than 3 months, I have definitely not mastered her. She relies on the tiny details, for example, did that bush just move, or are the brunches of this bush a bit wider, or did she double back? I can't hear her footsteps anymore ect. Once you get decent with her she's gonna be extremely powerful. A weakness is that she is add-on dependant. You can play with different playstiles, but if you don't know how to track, hear and predict, you're gonna have a bad time.
Last one on my list is Billy. Where can I even start with this unit of a killer? He has insane map control and a saw that can oneshot. Once you get the hang of him you will dominate the trials. Even tho behavior says he's easy to play on his profile, he's not at all. You need to learn the stability of his chainsaw, where to m2 and where to m1, how to drift like crazy ect. Unlike the others, he is known for his fun matches on both sides. He's both fun to play as an against and he's incredibly satisfying. He's not that much add-on dependant but I do think he needs to have em checked.
What do you guys think? Let me know down below.
Nurse is far from #1.
@Quol said:
I agree with your assessment of Nurse if it was pre nerf. But current Nurse is not that good, I hear a lot about the legendary 10k hour Nurse that can 360 no scope you across the map with her pinkie finger and you won't be able to do anything about it. But I have never personally seen that.
As such I believe Freddy should be in the top 3, not Nurse.
You nailed it.

Wasn't a threat.
Best way to expose stupidity is to give it a stage on which to speak on.
You debating and basing your entire argument on the assumption that I played killer when I clearly stated I played survivor and am basing my opinions off of that, is, well, it's kind of silly. And well, now, you admit you won't read the post, meaning your entire argument is based on cognitive dissonance and well, I don't know what else you're expecting with that or what you're trying to prove with it. You continue to insist that I'm angry about "losing kills" when I already clearly posted before that statement, that was not possible, because I was playing survivor.
Again, that's pretty silly.
Or you can keep trying to insult me like it somehow proves your factually incorrect statements about me true, while flaring your ego and making yourself look bad. As I said though, it probably won't end well for you. Nothing good will come of it, so I suggest you just stop, take your own advice and agree to disagree. Without the sass.
You are absolutely right.
100%.
Hence, the creation of this thread.

And that's how you identify "bias", folks!
You seem to not have even read the part where I said I've been playing survivor yet you still seem to insist I'm whining about borrowed time or losing kills for some reason. Don't know how. I made it pretty clear that I said I was the one who was using DS. But I dunno. Maybe it's a desperate strawman or something.
Go back and read my posts properly and more carefully and then maybe tomorrow after I get up, we can have a civil dialogue instead of trying to put words in peoples mouth and calling them whiny and childish like proper reasonable adults, Yeah?

I'm not against DS if it's not abused. But it is, a lot. And honestly, don't use the skill check argument. It's lame. If you miss your DS, ease let me.know so I can run Overcharge against you when I see you in my lobbies.
Snowballing hooks - and I specifically mean hooks, not slugging - never happens because the killer is doing well, only when the survivors are sucking hard. If your team sucks, why do you deserve a second chance? Please, explain.
And I never contradicted myself. You just assume a black-and-white argument. Nothing about DS is cut and dried. If it worked like it should and only gets activated when a killer is tunelling, who cares. Run it. When I ran it, I would deliberately miss the skill check if I didn't actually get tunneled. I only stabbed the killer once in every 6-7 matches.
You're fine. We're on the same page.
It was just confusing, but I get you now. See, it's not that survivors deserve the second chance when the killer is snowballing, it's that you can't just....NOT hit your DS. Hit your DS, continue the chase, if the killer is doing that well, then catching you wouldn't be an issue. But it at least gives a fairer chance for survivors to do something other than just hang on a hook for 2 minutes.
And you're talking about Unnerving Presence. Smaller Skillchecks.

So your argument is that it's perfectly okay for someone to have 1 minute of complete invulnerability? And that it's even better if MORE than 1 person is completely invulnerable?
The effect of DS is borderline overpowered. 5 seconds of stun time? That's HUGE. The only reason the Devs allow it to exist is because they label it an 'anti-tunnel' perk and SUPPOSEDLY punishes an undesirable playstyle. And if it was just for anti-tunnel purposes, fine. That is literally supposed to be the risk of DS: you may simply not get to use it because the killer is playing nice. Too bad, should have brought a different perk. Hindsight is a #########.
But you want Killers to get punished for snowballing HOOKS? What the actual hell is wrong with you? The only way the killer can get multiple hooks in quick succession is if the survivors are massively, massively screwing up. But you are right, as it is now survivors have a free escape that they abuse consistantly.
Also "someone has spent an entire perk slot on it". Holy shite, the entitlement. That is the downside of 1-use perks: you might not GET TO USE THEM! That's the point! If the killer hooks you, you get unhooked, they hook someone else, YOU ARE NOT GETTING TUNELLED AND SHOULDNT GET CAUGHT, YOU HAD AT LEAST 10-20 SECONDS TO RUN AWAY AND HIDE. YES, EVEN FROM BBQ AND CHILLI. I know, because I do it all the damn time against actually good killers that still steamroll my arse because they were quite simply better than me and I didn't equip my 4 second-chance perks.
You contradicted yourself.
Are you against or for the usage and effects of DS? Please be more clear in your post. First half seems like you're against its effect, and the second half sounds like you're for it because it's a 1 time use perk.
In response to your first half: DS is not overpowered, it only gets to be used if you let it be used.
And you're complaining that a perk halts the snowballing of killers? What's the problem if the stops the snowballing of killers and give survivors some breathing room? It seems like the killer is doing VERY well on his own enough to even take a few seconds off his snowballing.
You're complaining about a killer that's snowballing not getting to snowball harder, when he's doing perfectly fine already. Seems like the killer is doing JUST FINE and a few seconds wouldn't hinder him.
In response to your second half:
It's a one time use perk, and it never guarantees an escape, you have to hit the skillcheck. Yes, it's a rather large skill check but that still doesn't guarantee your free escape.
You went off the road with the last 3 sentences, I don't understand them.

So i will ask you again, what should he have done there
I already stated, slug them.
The gates weren't powered, 1 gen left and he made a noob play by assuming they wouldn't have DS.
If they had Adrenaline, that's on him as well. He didn't play the game well, they got their 5 gens done AND they were playing with 2 perks the entire game. He allowed them to use Their 3rd, and 4th.

The Survivors are supposed to go in making the best guess, risk vs reward: Do you focus on a certain style of play? or do you try to be more broad in your perks?
Allowing Survivors to see the Killer would mean every game is 4 Survivors with perks explicitly to counter that Killer, while the Killer can't do the same because:
1) You can't counter 4 Survivors with only 4 perks.
2) Those 4 Survivors can have any 4 perks, which the Killer has the same ONE power to counter every time.
Oh no...you mean how killers bring perks to counter survivors keys? Toolboxes? Medkits?
Killers can do it but not survivors?
How is that fair? And don't give me, it's 4 players against 1 excuse.

Idk what games you are playing but it is very and I mean VERY rare for me to not have 3-4 DSs every game. Every once in a blue moon I'll get 1-2 but almost never 0.
That's exactly my point.
Whenever it happens to a killer they cry on how EVERY survivor, and every match that day they've been getting with DS in the attempt to get it nerfed even further without taking some blame unto themselves.

NOED goes unused the entire match. Should it be allowed to just let you instantly mori survivors?
DS should be insurance. That's what it was intended to be by design. It does far more than that.
Perks that do far more than their intended design are pretty generally just overpowered. It'd be like Devourer Hope, without the opportunity to cleanse it, so in a certain situation, the killer basically wins with little to no chance of losing.
Decisive strike at the end game is the exact same. Killers are supposed to not tunnel to prevent it from activating, but then if they don't tunnel, survivors have all the insurance in the world to the point that they have an entire 60 seconds (usually slapped with borrowed time on top of it) to do whatever they ######### they want to get out and there's literally nothing the killer can do about it.
A perk -- a passive that makes the power role legitimately powerless in this situation is simply overtuned in my opinion. There should never be a point as survivor that, just because I equipped a perk, I am basically immune to losing unless I basically try to lose intentionally. That in my view is simply too strong.
Sorry, but DS's passive ability doesn't make the "power" roll helpless.
You have either the option to slug, or leave them alone and go for someone else.

Not my game, actually.
The point still remains. They all had DS, gates were open. There is no circumstance barring intentionally throwing the game that they would not be able to escape.
I know, because I do it myself as survivor, and I have never died ever while having DS at the end game. Not once.
That's all fine and dandy, but how many times have you died at endgame when you're the last one alive?
In MY experience, I've died many, MANY times before reaching the 5 gen end game. Typically gates spawn too close to each other, thus the killer getting his 4k. I highly doubt, DOUBT your situation is normal. I run DS myself and VERY VERY rarely I get to use it during end game.
I have DS in every single build I have. I don't like being tunneled, I don't appreciate being single targetted by the killer who just wants "an easy kill."
And it's laughable, you don't have ANYTHING to show me from your experience? Nothing at all? If this did happen to most killers, some, mostly ALL would have some sort of proof that DS ruins their games.
This is my Console Profile.
3 Had DS, 1 escaped.
But these are the more typical matches.
NO ONE had DS.
The second the survivors uses their DS on a killer they flock to the forums and cry how OP it is, how unfair that they couldn't get their easy kill. They fabricate stories on how it was "during the end game collapse and the gates were open" or how "the survivor went into the locker, what other option did I have after I chased them when they got unhooked."
Please, I've heard every single excuse. And here I am, some matches are easy, some are difficult, but never, NEVER will I say DS is unfair.
