The obsession gets the added effect that every 30s your aura is shown to the killer which causes you to see them as well even if you don't look at them.
Same happens if you're affected by blindness which impaires you aura reading so you can't see killer each tic of those 30s but he can see you since his aura reading isn't impaired.

Sprint Burst is your friend here. You can sit on a gen while exposed and if the Wraith finds you, as he uncloaks just sprint burst away to a loop.

You are more likely to find good items in chests if you are using plunderers, but i think there's a bug where you get plunderer's luck even if you don't run it. Here are the odds for rarities and items in chests with and without Plunderer's Instinct

i think people still don't realise how mmr is going to work. You will be playing with people with an elo similar to yours, no matter the rank. For example a guy that doesn't play the game much and he is rank 15 at this moment could be 3x better than a rank 1 guy that plays the game a lot. When MMR will be active, ranks won't matter that much.
I'm a rank 17 survivor, but i've been playing since 2016, does that mean i'm bad at the game? Not really, it means that i'm not playing the game that much to rank up.
That's why i think MMR is going to be good for people who doesn't play the game that often, i'm playing against and with newbies and it's not fun for either of us, but i can't do nothing to play against better players since i don't have the time to rank up.

i had to level up trickster for 80-90 ish bloodwebs to get bbq lvl 1, and then another 10 to get it to lv 2, it kept giving me weak perks like monstrous shrine over and over again, i still didn't buy it

I'm in yellow ranks as survivor, not because i'm bad (1.5k + hours, been playing since late 2016), but i don't really play much (this month i think i played like 5 matches in total as killer and survivor). That's why i think MMR would be useful, i'm playing with mostly newbies and i don't think i've died once since the start of the year. New killers can't really keep up with my playstyle and i end up surviving every match. I think this is the reason i don't play that much, it's not interesting "dominating" every game and i end up getting bored pretty quick.
And to ask your initial question, i think i should be in red ranks, but since i don't play that much it's kinda impossible for me to get to red ranks in just a month.

I really don't understand why people want BBQ to get nerfed. This perk literally discourages camping and has a bit too many counterplays in my opinion

Well they can't gen tap, or even heal for that case. They tried to restrict DS to tunneling situations, but used the wrong indicators. It's like tying your industrial-grade cooling system to a bunch of potatoes as thermometers.
And no, survivors were never doing gens in your face. Press M1 and lunge. It's not that hard, never was. For every toxic survivor in the chat, there's an equally toxic killer.

They should lose collision when they are taken up by the entity. I can't tell you how many times the auto-aim made me swing in the sky while spinning my camera trying to hit a survivor who was next to the hook

That's why i prefer waiting like a month after a new chapter to buy the dlc with 2-3 bucks from Kinguin/g2a/eneba. I think i paid 40ish bucks in total for the base game + all the dlcs

I think i'm at tier 4 right now :'D I play like 3-4 games a week, i don't really have that much time to spend on video games anymore, i still enjoy it though.

I'm still able to get in very short chases (3-4 seconds) against an afk killer, better than nothing i guess. Just keep in front of the killer

My go-to build as a solo survivor is: Iron Will, Sprint Burst, Bond and plunderers/Kindred/Stake Out
Sometimes i run Iron Will, SB, Fixated and Vigil (with this i have the most fun)
