How long have you played this game? DS was already nerfed. You need another one? It’s quite balanced. Even Tru3 started running DS once it was nerfed because it was “finally balanced.” Do your homework on DS

It's just bullcrap when 2-4 ppl have it and you can not pick up survivors that play like lunatics because they know they have a jail free card.

  • DS needs a nerf. Ruin was used by 75% and DS by 45% of the playerbase. If the killer don't chase you after you get unhooked, you can not argue it's for anti-tunneling. And some ppl even use it combined with unbreakable. It's redicoulus how much rewarded survivor gets in that game, where their objective is to press m1. The only time where survivor fail is the skill based looping and there the perks help out.

I'm literally a killer main and I'm rank one on both sides. Don't call me entitled when you think survivor is easy. You're a midrank survivor, so you probably go against bad killers. That doesn't mean that survivor is easy, that means you aren't facing competent people.

Y pressing M1 is hard ok.

  • @Ocera said:

The only real change to BT that I feel would make it less abusable would be it only activates if the survivor your unhooking has been on hook for 10/20 seconds or something like that. It gives the killer a chance to move away so that, if it truly is a anti camping perk then the killer must be camping before it activates. I'm normally ok with it as is.

It should just deactivate if you ain't gonna be chased after 30 seconds. Because survivor always say it's an anti-tunnel perk, there is no point to still have it after 30 seconds without a killer interaction.

  • They just forgot to increase the gen time to 120 seconds (for months now). But hey, new skins and new killers yaaay!

  • Pallets are bad against him, because he won't respect em if he has nemesis and play with your food. Windows are your best bet or lockers. But in lockers you need the right timing to fast jump out to not get hit by his tantrum. Too late and he just grabs you out of it.

And no pallets? There is one in every room on this map. Because you are new, you should just watch some looping vids on youtube and how to outplay oneshot killers like billy or leatherface.

  • @MalEducado said:

Pls behaviour , I need to play in low rank , let me play Vs survivor with my skill, not ppl that repair 3 gens in 1 minute ... I'm not rank 8 , I need to derank

Yeah, you have some games of that. You just finished a chase and the other three people were on one gen each. Depending of the map / killer and if you can still do the 3-gen-strat you can still win, but it's more common that you get one or two in the end. But you are on a clock and pressured to get things done and nobody wants that that early.

  • We had one, it was called ruin and it got nerfed. They should just increase the time to 120seconds for a solo gen. The other perks are much weaker. You need to hook somebody for one use of pop, they have to be wounded for a "nice" 4%-16% (hence they have basically unlimited heal) and it's only good against survivor that won't heal, so against leagion or plague. Dying Light is even worse.

  • He is above average, but that was it. You are so dependend on hitting your shots that every missed one hurts. He is just too slow to built up pressure like freddy / billy can. Spirit is a 110% MS killer as well, but because of her power she can make up ground much quicker.

He is fun to play and i don't care playing against him.

  • @Soulslayer618 said:

seriously? to me its laughable when I get the "always using meta perks" argument in post game chat but is it any wonder why these perks are meta?

BT constant campers and tunnelers so we have to keep each other safe

DS still with camps and tunnels watch out for yourself

DH oh no an exhaustion perk that doesnt help that much if youre a good killer

Im just saying that the complaints are annoying but more so its an excuse for them to BM or otherwise act toxic

NOTE: not all killers are saying this and not all killers complain but likewise not all survivors run meta perks. and all that aside most of the "meta" perks cant even be used by survivor if you play fair or am I wrong?

BT: I pretty see that on many occasions, that you are not even 20m away and they unhook their friend. You will definitely go back, when you haven't spot another survivor. But because he had BT, he could do this unsafe unhook and will not get punished for it.

DS: I recently saw a wounded meg, unhooking a survivor just 5m away from me. She got downed obviously, but she had DS. You would never go for such a play without it. Again, no punishment for dumb play. Yes you can just follow the unhooked one, but guess what, meg had BT as well and again no punishment. And even if she had no BT and you down the unhooked survivor, it has a high chance he got DS as well and won't punished for the bad play of the other survivor.

DH: You can just use it to make it to a pallet / window and extend the chase and because this is the most used exhausten perk, you lose out of many seconds in certain games. 3/4 of killers are low pressure and that can cost you the game. It's just broken that you can use all three of them if you want.

Some even use unbreakable as well, so either you pick him up and get DS'ED or you don't pick him up and he uses unbreakable or just wait till someone pick him up.

It's just ridicoulus. The only skill survivor need is in looping and they ######### it up all the time and because of this perks they won't get punished. They have just to press m1 and do easy skill checks once in a while to do their objective.

Maybe everyone should be playing both sides until they talk about nerfing something. I play survivor and i don't use any 2nd chance perks and i am still in red ranks. So you don't need em.

  • They use it, because you basically have to press M1 without any skill to do your objective and the gens go too fast. Harder skill checks and more frequent skill checks or another objective and less people will use it, because they believe they can win without it.

You can just calculate what takes longer: 4 survivor doing 5 gens, where each one takes roughly 80 seconds for a single survivor to do, or to hook 4 survivors 12 times if you aren't considering tunneling.

  • Where does this myth come from? I rarely see spirit / nurse in red ranks, at least not more than much of the other killers. The most i see is pyramid head and deathslinger, the least demogorgon.

I don't appreciate my main being made fun of....mark my words when they buff my kit, I'm going to show you the meaning of pain!!!

    See ya in 3 years.

  • The MM is better now. I face only red and sometimes a purple rank in my game. With MMR enabled, i faced yellow / brown very often.

I don't really see how you 2 are comparing Freddy and pig. Pig delays player escapes and is a mostly stealth killer, Freddy teleports around the map trying to dream world people. Not really similar to me,

How can you play around freddy with snares? You can't, eventually he gets you. For pig you just need spine chill and all her stealth approach is worthless. Even more because her dash attack is useless against sprint burst. She needs a buff like Bubba and more ppl want to play her. Maybe, just you have to go to all 4 boxes to unhook the trap and not a random 25% chance. Then you could actually delay a survivor completely. But in the current state she is D-Tier, maybe clown without addons is worse.

  • @knee_ah said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1533557#Comment_1533557

wait wait wait?? I was talking only about pig not Freddy??

Why should i bother play with a killer, that is even at peak level not even close to freddy or others? Just let the best freddy player and the best pig player play 100 games and freddy will win more, it's easy as that. Until they don't rework her addons, i don't play her.

  • @knee_ah said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1533528#Comment_1533528

You clearly never seen an actual good gameplay of pig... The brown addons are the best on pig and they are easy to get. If you master her dash in a chase then you'll see how good her power actually is . Not the best but if you know how to play her you'll definetely have a fun game.

How many games you win playing 50 hours of pig compared to 50 hours of freddy? Freddy just outperforms her in anyway, much much earlier and there is no fun for me if i constantly have to sweat my ass off to get a draw out of the game. Her perks are a joke. Her aura reading comes with a nerf, it's the same one that wraith has and he has no downsides. Her addons are just a joke.

  • Always this bullcrap about swat swf. You don't have to play like that, to have an advantage over the killer. You know everything, what a solo surv does not know. Just watch any youtube video where somebody plays SWF. Much more information, you can talk to them, which perks they should use, if they should lure the killer away and not directly running in to a gen where ppl working on it. That happens as solo surv all the time. And many more times.

Solution? None. Deal with it or the devs have to nerf particullar groups with perks restriction etc.

  • Bubbas buff makes him much better, pig on the other hand is really really bad. Worst addons in the whole game in my opinion.

  • Demogorgon is rare, because he is pretty below average. DS is very slow, every missed shot really hurts you. Hey, when you shoot an allready injured survivor over a pallet, he can just break free and does not go down. Imagine you could catch huntress hatchets and not get hurt. What a bullcrap.

  • Can people that played killer maybe for 10 hours just sit down and let the people discuss that know both roles? Thanks

  • You can chase the guy that unhooked his friend, end the chase and patrol your gens, find the unhooked one and down him. Now, with a high pressure killer, you just pick him up and get most likely ds'ed, because 45% of survivors use it (developer statistics). But for a low pressure killer, every hook and second is important. The survivor makes a mistake and instead of get punished for it, he gets rewarded with a 2nd chance and depending how well he loops, can extend that from a few seconds to dozen of seconds - minute. Oh, and you can heal up indefinitely with help, so if you let him escape, full health yay!

And because so many ppl use ds, killers just slug them, not picking em up for a minute (again, every second counts). He does not even have to have DS, the fear that the survivor has it, makes it slug them instead of hooking. Combine that with unbreakable, and slugging is not an option either, again 2nd chance for mistakes.

Survivors loop so badly sometimes, but get rewarded with those crutch perks for their mistakes. That's one reason, camping exists, because the winning chances with 3 survivors left is much lower than with 4.

  • Don't know if it works, but if you have 8 stacks with deathslinger, hit the survivor in melee and nearly immediately shoot your gun.

  • Now he is low b-tier but still all of his issues are there, he is just a bit better now.

  • @Carpemortum said:

Well, focusing on winning, in a non competitive, non ranked (no rewards, reset monthly, rank is fake mmr) game, is your first issue.

The second one is that basically every killer can be used to win. You just have to be good at ths game, understand basically every perk option, and have a decent grasp on tile layout/mindgames.

You cant M1 your way to a 4k with everyone.

Again wrong. A Clown will never be as good as Freddy. He can not fake teleport to a gen and get the survs there off the gen. He will never be as oppressive, so why should i put hours and hours in him, when i allready have more success with Freddy in no time? There is no inducement to play him, if you have to do so much less mistakes for the same outcome.

  • @4scoreand7skinsago said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/180571/there-are-20-killers-in-the-game

Every Killer can 4k with the amount of rng in this game, also pretty much every killer in the game(except 2) rely on survivor mistakes, and a little bit of rng. The only 2 who don't are obviously nurse and spirit as they don't really have counterplay in the right hands, although spirit has a lot more guessing and nurse just circumvents the mechanics of the game if they're good enough.

But you want consistent 3-4ks, not every 4 games. It's a huge gamble to play with leatherface or legion or any other B-Tier and lower, even if they are fun to play. You allready have to put low effort as survivor in doing your objective.

  • The good old times, when DS not even had a cooldown and you could use it whenever you wanted.

  • At least you can loop him with smart decisions, you just have to play differently against him. I know it's hard not to just press m1 and win with your friends, but try it!

I 4K in almost every match I play and that’s with killers like Michael, Deathslinger and Clown. So I’ll never accept them as being weak. As I said, it comes down to the person playing them. If you have to rely on playing as Freddy every match to win, that says more about you than it does the rest of the killer roster.

And how long did it take you to achieve that compared to freddy? Definitly much longer. That's a reason, those killers are played much less and people complaining, facing the strong, oppressive killers too much.

Maybe they should buff the weaker ones, so killers have more options.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

Every single killer in the game is strong in the right hands, it all comes down to personal preference. I don’t touch Spirit as I don’t like her play style. Michael, Deathslinger, Clown, Legion and Pyramid Head are my mains.

People are too quick to call certain killers ‘weak’ when they’re not. Clown is always put at the bottom of tier lists but I do well as him and I’ve also faced Clowns who had no problem wiping out my lobby.

If you win 2/10 games, it's considered weak and if you can just play Freddy and instantly win 6-7/10 games in a matter of a dozen hours playing him. Why bother with those low pressure killers, if you can just be successful in no time. To get t-bagged at the exitgates and called baby killer?

  • A visible indicator for how much totems are up would be enough.

  • SWF has to play perkless and i would be happy.

  • B-Tier and lower killers have always a hard time against competent survivors and it is not fun to play. So you have to stick to the good killers if you want more wins.

  • Better play versus noobs with wraith, than to play against good survivors and get destroyed. The MMR does not work.

    Glad I can help.

Clown has always been highly misunderstood. The bottle is a projectile after all.

Once you realise you are trying to throw “traps” at loops and structures ahead of survivors, Clown makes so much more sense, and chases start being ended ridiculously fast.

He would be A-Tier, if his pinky finger would just work with the toxin and not a direct hit.

  • I leveled everyone to lvl 40 to get their teachables and just feng to get all the perks on her. I play the survivor, that has the best skins in my opinion.

I would never play Ace as well, because his skins are so bad and i can just not look at Jane's fat ass. Yes i know, people say she is thicc, but that's a kim kardashian thicc level i can not stand.

So people just need to suck it up and play with lower skilled teammates? Please. How is that balanced? How is that an issue of people just needing to practice and get better? No one wants to play with lower skilled teammates. The whole point of mmr is to put people close in skill together.

Now you have to do something the first time, instead of just pressing m1 and bully the killer. Carry the other ppl if you are so good or get rekt.

  • @DTJObe said:

It's not for clipping purposes. It's for money. They're charging $10 per skin because they want an influx of cash instead of working on improving the game by eliminating bugs.

Like every company that has mtx. It's not like they do nothing else, but on a small pace. I am not a programmer, so i don't know how hard it is, to solve this bugs.

  • Because you got 3 times as much cakes as killer than as survivor and solo survivor games are always risky.

  • Really? I press M2 until fully charged, let it go and i press it again before it fully depletes? Is the window so tight?

  • Because the guy with the pizza is at the door.

  • Self created or Candyman. All others are meh.

  • @Tricks said:

Leatherface Match = Automatic justified hook suicide 100% of the time

Seriously if your up against any pay 2 win killer you should be notified before the match starts

There is exctly one build for him, that makes him not a total pushover. And even with that, he is maybe mid / low B-Tier.

  • Apply pressure on a big map with a low pressure killer "ok". Play killer yourself against competent survivors and you will see, how fast you change your opinion.

  • They are perfect now.

  • I'm pretty sick of it, always the fear that your prey gets away when you pick it up. This 2nd chance perk in particular has to be reworked. The skill check just has to be made much harder.

  • Que times at 21:00 - 02:00 in europe are fast. On other day times it's bad.

  • The only important stat is the map control. If you don't have it, you will lose much more games. So you can basically play 4 killers out of 20 to secure more kills and are not depended on how many mistakes the survivors make.

  • I would remove the RANKS all together.

Get rid of Mori and Keys.

Include a totem counter or candles in the basement that shows how many totems got cleansed.

Rework DS, that the part you have to hit is like the one from the overcharge perk and it can spin counterclockwise.

Create an actual anti-camping mechanic, where the timer you hang there, stops going down if the killer is in a certain amount of range to the hooked survivor, excluding when you are the last one obviously, to prevent holding the game hostage.

1 … 9 10 11 12 13 … 17
