What I would suggest is that there isn't a necessarily a problem with all those other unused Perks, but rather that these few are SO GOOD that all the others suffer by comparison. That means one would either have to improve all the others to the point where they look palatable (HUGE JOB AND RISK) or tweak these back down to where they are not auto-include.
I can just speculate, but those perks are more likely used by SWF, because they don't need kindred / bond / alert for information they allready have per voicecom. I don't use any of those 9 perks and i don't mind it.

I love that a perk from a paid DLC is always at the top, or near the top, of any of these lists. It warms my heart, it really does. DS overperforming and no incoming nerfs, so far as we know.
Edit: Also, no Resiliance? I see that perk in almost every game.
It's more common, but still falls off clearly compared to this 9.
-
Yeah, sometimes that happens. Each map generates a random number of pallets.
-
Currently i use Bond - Detective - Kindred - Windows of Opportunity
I don't like meta perks, so i don't use it.
-
After crossplay was included, i have many games with a mix of pc and console players. I don't really care, i love console players because they can not be toxic in the end-game-chat.

I had one who was AFK the whole match, and we all depipped.
Good to have a flashlight in that moment

Once again you want to destroy 99% of the survivor play base just to combat 1%. Just sounds like killer entitlement to me.
You don't need to play Spirit and Freddy to always beat these teams they can be beaten by every other killer if you play well. People seem to forgot only 1/10 swf teams are actually good. Even with meta perks they still can be beaten if you play correctly.
For instance with the old Bubba who was considered by many to be low tier, I was able to get 3/4 every single game at red ranks. Before his change I only lost 2/40 games as Bubba. I faced all the 4 man swfs, with keys, with meta builds, on haddonfield and ormond but I played well enough and beat them. If your a good enough killer you will put up a pretty good fight against them.
If you get a bad map then you just have to accept that if you lose then you couldn't do much anyway. I got destroyed as Billy the other day against a swf because they got Hawkins and wouldn't allow me to use my chainsaw. I just accepted that I got unlucky with the map and they played well. I wasn't upset or annoyed since it just wasn't a good map for me.
Once they add the early game slowdown mechanic then there should be no more complaining from anyone about gen speeds.
Where do you have this 99? The actual data from the devs a couple of months ago showed around 52% play solo and 48% play 2-3-4 man swf. I give you that, solo survivor would suffer too much, because their experience is allready bad. But they have at least to nerf SWF with increased gen time or that they can not use meta perks like DS / DH. You don't need these perks to have a good game, i don't use it and i perform well most of the time, even when my looping is only mediocre.

Yes meme builds. People who've played this game enough like me get bored running the same build every game. Not every single swf uses DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard/Sprint Burst, BT and Spine Chill. Me and my swf once a week play drunk and only run meme builds because the game is too repetitive.
I'd say if you ask anyone with over 1000 hours who doesn't just main one side they'll tell you that 120 seconds is easy mode.
Once again your also killing every other survivor who isn't in a red rank swf team.
What does it matter, if 8/10 swf teams don't use meme builds, but the meta perks and make the games sweaty? Not everyone wants to play spirit / freddy to have at least a mediocre chance against these people.

If you want to kill the game completely then yea push the self destruct button and increase gens to 120 seconds. Your not only killing solo survivor and anyone below 1000 hours but your also forcing all swf teams to stop playing meme builds and just play sweaty builds.
Meme builds lol xd They use only 9 perks in the game, all others are so rare you can count them on one hand.

120 seconds?
Killers would need to be nerfed into the ground if you wanted 120 second gens
That would equal another 2 and a half gens survivors would have to complete lmao, I would decimate literally every match I went into.
We play the same game or? Gens are just too fast.
-
Games are just too different. In some it would have made sense to camp the first survivor and in others it was not necessary, you can't tell.
Gen speeds should increase to 120 seconds or they have to slow down the early game, otherwise low pressure killers will suffer forever.
-
It's easy to do it yourself. Most maps have easy totem spawns. Survivors just complain, because pressing m1 is allready a hard challenge for them.
-
The best one is, to just hide the end-game-chat as killer. Most of the time, you only get toxic stuff. Does not matter how you explain why you did certain things, they are tilted and just want to insult someone.
-
Nice bait
-
He has a very good kit, like all killers should have. But he is really boring to play, because he does not need much skill to be good and you ain't feel rewarded in winning after a certain amount of games (at least for me).

I agree with feng, but legion has the best killer cosmetics.
That one with the skull-face mask is pretty good.
-
I need to see survivors, so this killer is garbage for me.
-
Wraith should just have a permanent windstorm bonus cloaked and not from the addon. He is not much of a d-tier killer at the moment. He has the same problem all killers have that can not end chases quickly, the time runs out and they do the objective and you are allready losing the game.
-
Corner AFK Wraith - Because you will most likely de-pip from that game xd

Then clearly bubba's power requires a different method to counter. Perhaps not waiting for the last second to sprint burst.
Any freaking window? His charge up takes pretty long tbh.

I normally solo queue as a survivor or I play with one of my friends. The games that I don't escape are normally with teammates who play self care. I hate that perk so much. The only advantage is that you can heal yourself, but just use a medkit? A yellow medkit with bandages and medical scissors is fine because you get 2 heals out of it, but you should only use it if you can't find a teammate to heal you.
What I also find with self care players is that they prioritise healing them self over anything else in the match and so it wastes time and limits how much gets done. Even worse, people really self care against sloppy butcher, thanatophobia and killer with power add-ons that give you the mangled effect. I wish the devs limited it so you could only use self care a limited number of times, like 2 times, because it wastes too much time.
There are so many times when me and a random person are left in a game, the last gen is close, the killer comes over and downs me, and the random is just self caring instead of going for the gen. I think when everyone started out on dbd they thought self care was good, and only the good players realise that self care actually does more bad than good.
May I also include that the other day I had a teammate who was playing decisive strike, self care, inner strength and adrenaline 😂
Have fun, it is nearly used as much as DS (around 40-45% of players in each game).
-
It's still the most used survivor perk. UB is not used even half the time DS is used and even fewer times together.
This illusion of 4 man with DS + UB happens maybe 1:200 games in red ranks, it's just not a common combination. They rather use dh / iron will / self care. Do your own research and you will see it too.

@azame said:
Now I see killer mains who say survivor is easy and yet can't themselves. If you can't handle a chase as survivor but make bold claims your argument is invalid.
Survivors objective is easy and where do survivors fail all the time? The only skill-based thing in their gameplay: The looping. You just have to get better at it and not the killers have to get nerfed.

I been saying this and people think I'm crazy. I jump on trapper or wraith who I have almost no games with and I get paired with a bunch of rank 20's and completely new survivors.
The ranks are almost the same, but they play like scrubs. Maybe they have just not thousands of hours like the other ones.
-
It seems it is online. I get much harder survivors with freddy and ghost face which i played over 150 games with and the survivors against my huntress which i played maybe 15 games are much weaker.

Whiny survivors are once again trying to destroy a good killer.
Billy - nerfed
Nurse - nerfed
Spirit - nerfed
And now Freddy...
You guys are the worst part of the DBD community smh.
Because pressing M1 the whole game is just too much for em.

It doesn't matter you didn't see them, because the problem actually exists and there are many confirms around the community of 4 man stacks going DS UB.
There are these stacks, but UB is still not used frequently in combination with DS, otherwise i would have had it much more often. People like to exeggerate such things and remember the few occasions where survivors used it, but not the majority of games where they had only UB or DS.
-

It doesn't matter how many people use the perk, because as long as the possibility that a big new "depip squad" brings ds unbreakable to completely demolish a killer the game is not balanced. Solos can literally talk in the lobby and say " hey guys can we all equip ds unbreakable to make every loopable killer supper unefficient?", and if no response even leave the lobby.
The killer doesn't know who has the perk or who hasn't, always has to respect it as long as he sees an obsession in the lobby, because getting dsed just 1 time could make you lose.
And that's ultra rare and i can not remember that i ever had it. They just aren't picked together in the majority of games.

It's not supposed to be a complete nerf. It's supposed to be more fair and balanced for both sides...not just survivors.
You could just stop doing gens (that are too fast anyway) and go for the totems ... There are only a couple of maps where the spawns are difficult.
-
Use a map, small game perk or just look for totems? In the most maps they are easy to spot.
And you do exactly what scott told you not to do. NOED is easy to counter, your 2nd chance perks not really. Either you slug them what is unfun for everyone or you eat the DS because it is so common that at least 2 ppl in every game have it.
-
Hey, use SMALL GAME and not DS / BT / DH / UB how is it? That is the counter for it. No nerf needed.
-
Wait, maybe just, use bond / emphaty / kindred and any other non meta perk for more information? But no, better use DS, to have an even easier time in the mouseclick 1 simulator.
-
NOED is no problem, if they just put in a totem counter or candles in the basement that show how many are done / up. Mori / Key can be deleted, both are similar toxic.
-
Doc in indoor maps and Oni in particular, because in solo que, he snowballs so hard because the other survivors don't know what to do when he uses his power.
-
It's ridicoulus how many killers have purple and red addons, hence green / yellow are better (like ghost face or legion).
Pig has to be at the no. 1 spot in the to do list. Her addons are all crap. The best one is a brown one.
Do you know how pig could really be usefull? There should be no 25% chance on the boxes, you have to have go to all 4 to disarm the trap, then you would really get some space out of it.
Bubbas rework was good, pig needs one ASAP.

I don't know if this is ironical or not,
But you can't slug them because they're gonna have unbreakable. And even if it was possible to slug that would give Survivors 1 full minute of freedom to do whatever gen they want and and even rescue the slugged Survivors. In order to avoid unbreakable you literally need to stay on top of the slugged Survivor until ds runs out, because strong teams use ds unbreakable.
Considered how fast all the generators can be repaired, and this is not the Survivors' fault, it's the game that makes survivors spawn spread out on separate gens on big maps as mother's dwelling, 4 survivors being able to be completely invincible for 4 minutes is not healthy
That is not true. I am still on it, but in 50 games in red ranks (200 survivors) only 14 had DS + Unbreakable as combination. It's not as common as you think and i will continue my research but i don't think it will change.
-
Are there videos of it?
-
People are tired of the same toxic meta perks (not only survivor perks). It rewards you for bad plays. I am sure, if there would be no DH / BT / DS, many more killers would just abandon camping / tunneling.
-
@xEa said:
Dont even need to watch that video to know that its about the same mimimi as always. That coconut guy is so biased he has not even played survivor beside a few times, yet he has the audacity to judge about game design what makes him look completly redicilous. His opinion is pretty much without any value.
What the hell? He does not even say a thing in the game, you have not watched it. I came to the conclusion.
-
@AChaoticKiller said:
i think ds is fine the problem is if you run it with unbreakable and just gen rush. a whole team with ds, unbreakable, exhaustion perk, and BT with gen rushing isn't beatable especially if the survivors are good.
I just looked at the perks for 30 games in red ranks and ds + unbreakable is not a common combination. Unbreakable is not even in the top 5 used perks.
-
Pump gen times up to 120 seconds and you could do actually more. Pressing M1 is really hard stuff.
-
With the buff, not even the survivor with endurance can escape. Good thing, because that tell people a lesson, to not count on your cheap 2nd chance perks.

Impressive, but there is a reason that killers play nurse / spirit against a pro-squad and not legion, because he has no chance.

I've had this happen to me too. Why be toxic to the killer if he was trying to play nice? I usually just kill all survivors now. No more playing nice killer... Lol
For them it's enough if you just stay a second too long at the hook to call you a camper and rightful t-bag you at the gates. Some even wait there until you come to show their dominance.

I'm not going to lie, I used to be all for DC penalties. Then I got kicked from a couple of matches for no reason (my PC connection was fine the whole time) and I cannot help but think about all the people that get that all the time, just because of the games buggy nature. I don't think penalties are worth it overall. Survivors just suicide anyways, and it's almost as common as DC's used to be.
No they don't. It lowers the dc's significantly and that is good.
-
His flick is total broken. You can basically hit through walls with it.
-
Play nice and get t-bagged at the exit gates really lowers your mood.

I give you a tipp: If all gens are done and he does not hook a downed survivor and just waits, he always has blood warden.

Not everyone just does gens. I don't do them. Honestly just stop putting everyone in the same category. Not everyone does nothing but gens, ok? I literally am the one being chased, or I'm flashlight saveing.
But your objective is not more to just press m1. The objective of the killer is to chase survivors and "outplay" to down and hook em. You need to do that 12 times if you aren't using a mori. That costs a hell-a-lot more time than doing gens that are gone in 80 seconds and because you can possibly only chase one survivor at a time, eventually gens get done.
