It's pretty odd. Usually, i get maybe green / yellow / brown rank survivors in every 50 games or so, but now it happened 3 games in a row, where 2 or 3 ppl where in those ranks. I absolutly destroyed them, some suicided on hook or disconnected. I hope that will change. I don't want swat-like swf, but not overly unexperienced players as well.

@EmpireWinner said:
I believe the SWAT swf are the ones killers complain about and are what???
Present in 1 game out of 20??
Killers want ez mode
50% of the playerbase plays SWF. It does not have to be a SWAT like, the comm bonus / information bonus you gain is just a huge advantage. And every players wants eZ mode. That's the reason, even 7k+ mmr dota 2 players or grandmaster overwatch players create smurfs to punish less experienced players.

If I pick a killer that I rarely play as will I still get matched against a red swf because they were in que for 10 mins? If a survivor team is waiting long enough does it through the ranks out the window like the old system and just tosses inexperienced killers to the wolves?
They said, they know which killer you played how much and will put you against easier survivors if you play one for the first time.
-
They don't have to lock survivors, but the items they bring. It should be impossible, to swap items at the ~20 second mark.

I get camping if there's 2 survivors left and you know the last guy is going to save him, so you can secure a kill. But camping after a single save or literally the first survivor is not the way the game direction should be heading towards.
It makes sense, considering how fast gens are done and how unlikely 3 survivor can do the remaining ones.
-
It's bugged for weeks. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. I played as killer and numerous times my sight was completely gone, but i did not drop the survivor.

Apparently if I play only one side, that mean I have no idea about anything on the other side, and because of that, i'm not allowed to have freedom of opinions? Even though you always go against the other side, and it's a good idea to learn them? I'm not saying that a person that plays only one side knows everything about the other side, but saying you can't have opinions through self-judgment?
So if I have an opinion of a movie, I can't actually have one because I have never made a movie before?
I doubt this is the vibe you're trying to go for, but the title sure as hell seems like Gatekeeping to the average internet person.
If you never experienced the other side, you don't know how it feels, you just believe you know it. So your opinion is just flawed by your lack of experience.
-
Key, Mori, NOED, DS all have to be addressed.
-
They should just explain, why they don't lock the survivors as well.
-
It's not skillful, but an easy way to take the pressure out of the game. How many games are won, when nearly at the start of the game one survivor dies? Only a few, so i can full understand this strategy.
-
@Sluzzy said:
They're only bad if you take the game that seriously. You have to either bring a key or find one, then find the hatch. It's not even unbalanced because Franklin's directly counters keys. Killing them before the hatch spawns is another.
Nerfing keys will just make the game more dull and one less item worthwhile in the bloodweb.
So you should use a niche perk, when every perk in red ranks can make the difference between win and a loss? No thanks. And when they just find one in a chest and not having one right away in the lobby, you won*t pick this perk in any way.
-
@MusicNerd_TC said:
I always think of key escapes as cowardly, and know that they didn't deserve to escape at all. I also bring new Franklin's and a ivory mori on hag, just so I can get rid of that key and nobody else can take it.
The problem is, you have to be at the lobby screen all the time, because survivors can just last second switch to a key and if they do, you can not even DC because of the penalty and the depip (if you care about that).
-
I love SpaceCoconut as he said, the sole reason of a survivor is, to create space for the other survivors to finish gens and if you are in front of DS, you should have no couterplay, because you should not be there at any time, it's your fault for your bad looping decision.
-
Players want to win. Survivors want to escape and Killers want at least 3 people dead. If you are not competetive, you don't care about winning, but many people do and 3/4 of the killers are just too weak and can easily looped by people, that are aware of the mechanics.

Same reason, why ppl in other games play with smurfs, to destroy less experienced players.

I know I've never posted anything before but hear me out here! This isnt bait. To me it seems like everytime I play killer it's an easy 4k. I play on ps4 and mostly main Pig and Ghostface. I've played hundreds of games (from rank 20-1) and still seems like if I dont give hatch to someone or pretend to not see some claudette crouched in a corner it's super easy to 4k. I have been playing this game since release and there was a time when killer seemed harder. Just dont understand why everyone complains about killer being so hard when to me it really doesnt ever seem that way. I've felt this way for a while now so I figured I'd finally post something about it and see what other people had to say.
You would be the first. Hard evidence from streamer shows, even they lose games.

I'm confused. Will the MMR always be hidden?
Should be or SWF will constantly brag how good they are. It's like, dota 2 group players on normal (not ranked) with a 85% win rate brag and still have the same 50ish% win rate as solo in ranked.

And we are sick of bbq, pop freddies plus slowdown add-ons.
With "we" you mean only yourself. I see Freddy like never in red ranks and even if i did, i like him more than doc, spirit or nurse.
-
@Diggly said:
Fellow Freddy main here, if you want some advice, pop on Surveillance. White gens are easier to see than red with the current auras, and it could also help you with info.
I do bbq, pop, surveillance, ruin. It's so dark, you ain't seeing the bbq aura clearly, the hex perk is invisible for me. It's a completly different experience with him.
-
Aura reading perks for survivor are not meta and you only need to see hooked survivor, what is easy, because it is the only red stain in the whole map. Killers ain't see the gens, bbq does not work, exit gates are dark as hell.
Uninstall game is the best solution if this stays this bad.
-
It's only a nerf for killers. Nobody uses Bond or Empathy anyway, they don't have to see auras. WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD WERE THEY THINKING?
I can not see hex perks, i can barely see exit doors. GG if that stays that way, i uninstall this game forever. My eyes were never good to begin with, but that is unbearable.
-
They are barely visible (gens and hooks) and the hex totem are compeltly invisible. Bug?
-
Me too, i can not even spot my hex totem. Why does the game always become more buggier when they update something?
-
No sound when hex gets cleaned, i can barely see the hooks and gens. Is this a bug?
-
It's not out on pc? Because i can not change my killer in the lobby anymore.

....ruin AND pop?? That basically relies on them removing ruin...
Because ruin is such high risk, you need a second slowdown perk. His addons are just not good enough.

What is the point of spine chill then if it can't detect killers.
Ît can still detect killers further away than their terror radius. What's the point of being undetectable, if a perk can detect you?
-
Play Freddy with BBQ, Ruin, Surveillance and Pop. Fake teleport to know on which gen they others are in a chase. U will have much more success with Freddy than any other killer in the game. He is not hard to play.
-
- Shorter CD for Power
- Not be able to realise he is stalking by noise like Myers
- Not be able to detect by spine chill in night shroud mode
- Reveal action bug fixed

So why was the Clown chasing someone in a corner? How long were they chasing them for? Why didn’t they rotate sooner? What add ons were they running? What perks? Why doesn’t the average killer understand that the goal is to PRESSURE GENS, not down survivors.
The unfortunate thing is most killers believe “downing survivor = pressuring gens” and that’s all they understand sadly
Edit:
I play a pretty good killer (for most, about 4 I’d like to get better with). It is infuriating reading dumb posts (you’re not dumb, but the post is). For all the killers that want to complain about dead hard, DS, adrenaline, a medkit, a toolbox, etc - ENOUGH. STOP IT. If you don’t know how to play, ASK. It’s not going to hurt your fragile egos to do so. It’s ok if you don’t know something. It’s ok if you botch a chase. But stop complaining, it’s unproductive. Try to approach it from a healthier standpoint, and learn something.
and by the way, I bet I could find at least 5 things in this stream you watched that they did wrong. Not that they need to be perfect, but people need to take ownership of their mistakes rather than externalizing blame. For example, I once watched a streamer with about 3k viewers complain about being “gen rushed” - what really happened - he chose to chase an injured survivor that was looping through an area where 2 gens were being worked on. They chose to overcommit to their chase...eventually downing them, but losing 3 gens. Had they taken the hit and pallet they got, and rotated...they would have only lost 1 gen and would have pressure on 3 survivors. BUT SURE, if you want to call lack of knowledge of when to rotate gen rushing, go ahead. But you do yourself a huge disservice and will never improve at the game.
Because there was a gen? Ther is always one on Ormond you know. Ye, always hit a survivor once, let them escape and let them get healed up indefinitly.
But explain your gameplay to me.

Please post the VOD here with a timestamp or any clips of the game then, or else how does anyone know you're not making this up. Any members on the forums with you whilst watching?
-
Freddy, because i win with him
-
Play on Ormond with Clown or Freddy. Freddy downs the survivor on the south right corner and hooks him and with BBQ, sees on the north left corner in the killer shack is someone working on a gen. Impossible to go there with clown in time and use your pop on the gen, with freddy you just teleport and save the gen.
And that thing applies to 80% of killers, that can not save such a gen in time. You are forced to do the 3-gen-strat in every game if you want to have a chance.
Bad balancing.
-
80% of the killers are bad at gen pressure, even more on the big maps and indoor, one of the four remaining killers is completly garbage (billy). So you have basically 3 killers that can pressure gens, where one needs a tremendously amount of practice to be good with (nurse), leaving two (spirit and freddy) you can play if you want a high success rate.
I mean, this guy played the game how long? 5k hours+? How should a casual player have a chance with those killers? Nice job.
-
What is wrong with people? BUFF the other killers, not nerf the few we have that not require 500 hours to be decent with.
-
@rd_dex said:
I've heard a suggestion somewhere, a potential fix to Mori is that you need to hook all 4 survivors at least once for the Mori to activate.
Seems like a decent idea. And delete keys(hate to bring it up but they go hand in hand how broken they are).
Twice hook or hook everyone at least once are both good ideas. Keys can be gone, i never use them as survivor.
-
It's time that spine chill does not work on him. It's just stupid that it does.
-
@PigMainBigBrain said:
With the Rarity of Eboni Mori's I rarely use them. Except on a few occasions where I know I'm about to face a SWAT team. 4 P3's 3 flashlights and a key.....yeah I'm bringing my gun to that match AKA Mori.
If survivors are gonna get sweaty against me I should have every right to return the favor. Because you know.....balance.
Are you for real? I have killers with 25+ on them, because they spawn so often. Way more than the green one.

Playing against Spirit is an awful experience for sure.
I would say waiting 10 minutes for a match, only to have the killer have a hard on for you and end your session in 2 minutes is not very fun.
How's about a two games in the last two days, spirit with ebony mori? I mean, tunnel spirit with ebony mori. It does not even matter, if i get caught first, if she kills off one survivors with 4 or 5 gens still up, you are done.
-
@SloppyKnockout said:
Dude, it's a video game. If you take it that seriously, the problem is you.
It's not. That's the reason, cheater get permabanned and leaver get a punishment in many competetive games like dota, lol, overwatch etc.
-
@C3Tooth said:
Now I actually see why Fred is top tier. He literary able to do everything without get into animations, from snare to teleport, he always keep him mobile. He can eventually chase a survivor to a gen direction then teleport to that gen for surprise element, without any audio cue (like Hag)
But not just that, his sleep mechanic is super cheap in many situation, auto speed debuff, spotting survivor hiding in grass because of glowing effect, immune to BT
He has a audio cue, you can always hear it when he tries to teleport.
-
Killers don't like survivors with meta perks, because they are strong the same way, they hate to go against spirit / freddy / billy, because they have to actually play the game more than just pressing the left mousebutton against low pressure killers.
-
Finally a good thread without the constant whining about something. I bet you had the most success with Freddy.
-
It should be better visible, easy to change for the devs.

The amount of abuse I’ve received lately from other survivors all because I haven’t acted in a way they expect me to during a game is ridiculous.
Not sure why everyone is so deeply invested in whether they survive a match or not, it’s meant to be fun!
People like me having fun with winning the game and that is at least +1 pip. Everything else is a loss and i ain't having fun. If you are not a competetive person, you don't care.
-
99% thing said in the post-game-chat are toxic, because you ain't played by their rulebook. I just skip that ######### and leave ASAP. You can't change their opinion and they can not change you. Just play your game.
-
When you join a game and immediately think: oh good, it's this killer. Then he is trash. Nobody encounters Spirit and thinks: Yeah, i love to go against spirit!
-
I camp and tunnel if necessary to win the game and that's what i am interested in. Survivors will even complain, if you played by their rolebook so i don't care about their fun. The game is just not made that both sides have always fun, somebody will have a bad time.
