How delusional some people are, amazing.
They could just change it, that the killer is not be able to see what items and which survivor they bring in to the game.
-
Crotus Prenn - Disturbed Ward. Worst totem placements in the entire game.
-
Don't get hit and just vault through a window crossing your fingers that she is on the other side and not yours. Most unfun killer to go against, besides a good nurse.

The objective is to escape, part of that is doing gens and another would be doing totems to prevent killer from being able to down you with one hit. Getting downed with NOED is being punished for not taking time to cleanse 5 totems that are ridiculously easy to find according to multiple killer posts in this forum.
I play mostly solo survivor. As solo survivor unless I'm in a chase for 5 gens I'm able to do a quick loop and cleanse the totems. There are only a few spawn locations for totems on a map and 5 isn't many at all to keep track of.
If you are in red ranks you should have played enough to learn the areas the totems spawn, otherwise you can use one of two perks or maps to help you find them until you learn their spots. Those perks aren't a "waste" if they are helping you to directly counter a perk you think is used so often and is so OP it needs to be nerfed - nerfing NOED is what would make those perks a waste.
As solo survivor you can have a pretty good guess a killer is probably running NOED because of how they are playing - not putting pressure on gens and bad at chases are two big hints. If you notice this in a killer you take a minute to do a loop of the map and do totems before last gen pops, can keep track in your head of how many broken ones you pass.
I allready said, some games are so fast and as solo survivor, you can't tell the others to slow down and in SWF, they have allready the advantage to know how much totems are up. You would be forced to be the survivor, that ain't doing the objective and just cleanse the totems. On some maps they are very well hidden. There is no downside for an totem counter, just that killers will use this perk less.

NOED is fine. Survivors need to do totems. This perk is only useful because most survivors focus more on getting gens done quickly than taking few seconds to cleanse dull totem that is right next to them. If 4 survivors would cleanse 5 totems killers would start using this perk less. Devs could add buff to Small Game/Detectives Hunch to include totem counter to help those that have hard time keeping track of totems.
Moris - I think having ebony be 3rd hook is fair. This will stop the tunneling off first hook moris that end games so quickly. I've had killers do 3rd hook moris and as solo survivor it made the match playable. You didn't have the other survivors just become instantly useless/killing self on hook because they figured match was over anyway.
Keys - as long as Sony and Microsoft make changing achievements a pain they won't remove keys being able to have multiple survivors escape because of the Where Did They Go challenge. What they could do is remove purple/pink keys and replace as add ons for broken key. This would make broken key useful. Unless player is running Ace in the Hole they won't randomly find key for escape in a chest and even with the perk their odds would be lower than they are now. Survivors would also lose the add ons at end of match unless they used perk spot for Ace in the Hole or white ward offering.
They do exactly the objective and they should get punished, when the killer just plays bad? SWF do the totems, because they exactly know how much are up and have not to waste time like solo have. And nobody will use this other perks, there are just much better option as to waste it on something like that. Again, SWF do not need it and you cant tell people you do not know to use it.

Remove genrush, then, remove Noed.
That is the problem of the killers and needs much more work to change.

But then Moris would be useless
Moris should just be used for the kill animation, not to kill off an survivor too early. It's not fair and people always complain about it.

What about other survivors perks people are complaining on?
Not the topic. I don't use any meta perks besides dead hard.

Third person loop vs first person where you have to look around to hide your red glow, clearly the same :) Also, as i said, you require half a day to understand how to loop and max 1 week to practice it on every map and thats it.
Nice that you are so good I played 200 hours survivor and i can still not loop good enough and the majority of survivors can't do it as well, because i get constantly 3-4ks in the most games in red ranks. Facts lead to another conclusion.
-
Looping requires skill, otherwise everyone could extent loops to 3+ minutes and the games would be over even faster.
-
bUt iT wOuLd iNcrEsE qUe tImEs that are <1 minute all over the day. Then wait 5 minutes, like killer have to all day long. SWF is just broken and unfair period.
-
I lose pretty fast the fun to learn a new killer, because it is too frustrating and i just play with whom i win the most.
-
They showed one from 2019 i believe. Ruin was used by ~80% of Killers, solo q was 50%-52% and then came 2-3-4. Most used perk is DS with 45% of all survivors.
-
Just invent a block list for killers with 3 slots for everyone. Either they take advantage of the logs, dc or suicide on first hook, pissing off the 3 remaining survivors. That isn't a good game for anyone, so it's better to have a higher que time than a destroyed game.
-
Hag is one of the least played killers in the game and you have something against her perks? Cmon.
-
I really want this threads to end. People constantly complained about Nurse and Spirit until they got nerfed. Then about Ruin until it got nerfed. How should that end? The reason behind the Ruin nerf was to help new players and because it was used so often. But so is DS, when do they nerf a meta survivor perk?
-
I had several offerings not showing up at the "offering screen" after the game started and some other people told me in chat, that happened to them too. There has to be a bug or something.

No, not unless you're playing with a friend who's in a different region.
Do you think, crossplay with console players and pc players will make it faster?
-
Just rework WGLF?! Make it actually a usefull perk like bbq. WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT THAT DEVS?

@Marcavecunc said:
4 vs 1 means longer wait times for the side that's 1 if the players are split 50/50.. it's basic maths, really. But I guess during the slower times, there's more people playing killer since all their survivor friends are at work/school so it makes the wait times even worse.
I had 10 minutes wait times earlier today.. and tonight, I had nearly instant killer lobbies. Survivor is always fairly fast.
The slower times are good 70% of the day. That can't be the only reason.
-
You should go back to play pokemon lol

As a still inexperienced killer player I try to see it as a learning experience. Let them show me their tricks and eventually I'll figure out ways to deal with them. I'm not trying to win as much as not make stupid mistakes and learn to make the right choices. It's not always easy to stay calm but at least for me the less I care about keeping the match together, the better I play. I've been holding my own just fine against players of my skill level (not rank) but getting used to the advanced survivor tactics is taking time.
Played against this SWF group last night and they tried to grief me with their flashlights so hard. It turned into total chaos and I actually ended up having quite a bit of fun working on my flashlight evasion skills and catching them off guard. I'd like to think they got more than they bargained for. Most of all fun = win, no matter if the survivors escape or not.

I don't feel obliged to see the survivors off at the gates just because they're waiting there. Let them wait, the timer is running anyway. What I am currently getting annoyed by is when I get 2 survivors at the end who are good at chases and/or hiding but apparently repairing generators is below them. They refuse to even touch the remaining gens (I have Surveillance) and the match drags on for ages. I'd rather be genrushed and move on with my life.
That is a very rare example. I never saw 4 flashlights in one of my games, but you have seen it in the lobby, if they not just changed it right before it started (dick move). Legion is a weak killer as well.

Every single game every survivor is working on his own gen wich results in 5 gens being done in less than 5 min, every survivor knows how to loop, where the safe pallets and widnows are and how to exploit them, they know the map, and they are 4, I mean what chances do i have? NONE. i get so mad when they tbag at the exit, like dude cmon
Then i don't know, why i get 3-4ks constantly in red ranks. Maybe play a other killer or a better perk build.
-
Nobody knows? Most people are affected by it.
-
He is fun to play - at least when you ain't want to win the game lol.
-
He is just one of the worst for farming BP. You want to end chases quickly with im on Tier 3, so you get only half the hits in as some other killers. Peek-a-Poo-Myers on Lery's is the only fun part about him.
-
Setting traps ... oh wait
-
Hatch
Dead Hard
Mori
-
I could that do everytime when i farm with survivors, but i don't like it, so i never did it.
-
It's a legit strategy that works more often than not. Deal with it or play something else.
-
Amanda's Letter should have no downside period. It's the same what wraith has, without any penalty.
-
You need a good killer and camp / tunnel if necessary. Freddy is good, because when you hit the unhooker first, the unhooked has no borrowed time and you can down him again.
Against SWF = Cowabunga it is
-
I love when survivor flashlight blind me after each pallet and then have to sabotage the hook in front of me. After that, it's go time for my toxic play.
-
Because some hackers exploited it like, when a survivor escaped, he got a time ban.
-
Just one that uses a build, that is hard to play against. Mostly said by sore losers.
-
Better would be some sort of Mimikry Killer, that can turn into a Pallet / Rock or Chest (who eats the survivor lol) etc xd
-
Midwich is the best map to use ruin, because you find the totems not so easily. I like it more as survivor, because 2 story maps are less good for killers, except nurse ofc.
-

While we are discussing Ruin, all the killers that complained about the Ruin nerf, are you still playing killer?
I took a break for 2 months. People said it was a crutch perk. It is right, but it was the only perk that could give you a chance to win with low pressure killers, if you did not want to camp / tunnel every game. Not everybody has played killer for 2000 hours and is good, that's not the majoritiy of the playerbase.
I play mostly freddy, because with him even the new ruin is good and he has a high chance of winning.

All you see around here is a very vocal group decrying the Billie nerfs. But these nerfs are very warranted and Billie feels very oppressive at red ranks and tends to snowball games very hard and very quickly if you get 1 teammate who does not know how to dodge. These nerfs are very welcomed by some. Keep it up BHVR :)
I did not like to face him, because he had so much pressure and could snowball the game easily. The peopel will stop crying soon. Ruin nerf was huge and countless topics were created, now nobody talks about it anymore. Same will happen to billy.
-
I hope the devs ignore the crybabies and just go through with it. Ruin change was much more massive and now nobody talks anymore about it.

Blood exists, and there's a perk that allows you to see it clearly, but you are right, it has happened to me before.
I know, but i am bad at locating it and even sounds send me in the wrong direction sometimes. And maybe i give this perk a try, never used it before.

Borrowed time only works inside the terror radious, meaning that you have to be nearby for it to work. How can you lose track of the unhooker?!
Numerous ways. Both run in different directions away and i choose the one with the unhooked guy by accident. Or only the unhooked one runs away and the other guy hides somewhere, so i will follow that one with the stretch marks.

@Sunri said:
Why killer mains are such crybabies just get gut and stop tunneling lol
45% of survivor use it. Stupid survivors that unhook them with BT, you lose sight of the unhooker and have to follow the other one. So, why should i have to wait one minute, because it is a 45% chance he has DS?
-
Trapper is basically Jason. Candyman was never so famous like Freddy or Myers, he is more like in the Hellraiser tier and i never saw any of this movies, because they have abysmal ratings (except for the first one).
They should consider Dracula or Jekyll & Hyde.

Yes, it means more SWF. Do you have a problem with that?
If that means, the queue times go down, i have no problem with it.

Nobody has this issue?

Eh. I had put down Overwatch for DbD. That was a mistake, and that's putting it mildly. Suddenly, the decisions that Kaplan and Goodman were making in Overwatch didn't look nearly as bad.
Now I only play DbD on the occasions when my friend & family group aren't playing Overwatch, and when I don't feel like reading or watching a movie. This game is moving further and further down my list of preferred activities. Maybe Hidden MMR and cross-play will change that this year, but I have little to no confidence in BHVR.
Really? OW devs decision to put in role lock, because the top 1% of players abused GOATS in the meta and played nothing else, where the majority is in gold / plat / dia was the dumbest thing ever. Because of that, the queue time for DPS players skyrocket, esp. in master+ tiers and i bet, many ppl left the game for something else.
I forgot that asian looking streamer guy, that said, his stream died because he had to que for 30 mins or longer for a single game.

I wish people would just wait and PLAY it, test it out and then form an opinion. They can’t touch anything without players assuming the worst and screaming they’re gonna quit.
Because people like their comfort zone and don't like to adapt to a new situation.

I have not even played some killers, hence i got em and some like leatherface or demogorgon only twice. I play only Freddy, GF and sometimes Legion.
-
I hope pig gets some good addons, she has terrible ones.
-
It's basically cheating, because information is key. Telling your teammates the killer is on you or telling them where the ruin totem is, both would be impossible for solo q's. That would be the same if you playing counterstrike and one of your friends spectates the game and tells you where the enemies are.
-
I would not play survivor if you want to farm BP. Bad teammates, a killer that tunnels / camps you can easily make your offering nearly worthless.
