To these whiny killers:
- The devs just nerfed gen co-op speed and great skill check progression significantly, while also modifying many maps to remove strong loops. To my knowledge, killers received no nerfs in the most recent patch.
- How do you propose the developers stop voice comms? Make Dead by Daylight force close while Discord is open? There is literally no point in bringing this topic up; there is absolutely nothing that can be done about comms outside of Dead by Daylight.
- Have you considered changing your playstyle, knowing they are SWF? Camp hooks?
Dude.... I’m a survivor main and the gens still go fast asf. Stop using words like “significantly” when the gen speeds still go flying and prove thyself got a buff.

Have you tried using mori on death hook??
It's literally impossible
Survivors gen rush even more once they realize they are going against a mori
Killers that can end chases quickly and that apply good map pressure or even 1 shot killers such as Billy, Oni, Bubba, etc. will still bring in a mori when it would it wouldn’t be necessary. I understand a daily but other than that I don’t know.

To punish the unbelievably broken and OP thing called "Survive With Friends", to do a daily, or to try fighting back against an unfair genrush.
While I agree that It can be useful in a powerful SWF. Some killers will bring it in a solo que with survivors that cannot last 5 seconds in a chase.

Swf is not going anywhere. It is the majority of the player base, and once again, what keeps the game competitive.
4 randoms is a 4k 90% of the time. If swf goes, killers will 4k all day. However they will be waiting a long time for lobbies, as many survivors will move on.
They have already shrunk the maps and created a lot of dead zones. If a killer can't catch a survivor now, well maybe it is their skill that is lacking.
I 300% agree with this.

That would be awesome then all killers would opt out and SWF will just wait in lobby for years. We killers finally win.
You Killer mains want everything to be easy for you. Why would you want to go against baby solo que survivors all the time? I mean heck, killers already camp at solo que and bring NOED...

@andyollolloll said:
If the answer is because the killer will skip the lobby then the question then must be why, isn't the game balanced?
I mean it’s kind of obvious to tell when a SWF has entered your lobby. If the survivors spawn in in really quickly all together it’s like a 95% chance there’s a 3 man or a 4 man. Also look for Survivors with similiar Gamer Tags.

Y u wanna know my gamertag lol
Because I wanna start playing with survivors that can actually last in a chase and not urban evasion in corners the whole game. I’m rank 1 and get rank 1’s in solo that play like rank 20’s. You don’t HAVE to give me your gt. Just was curious.
-
Good. He deserves to get teabagged. What’s your gamertag on xbox?

"He takes no skill."
I pity you, so so so so so so so so so much. Can't believe you just said that.
Hmm... lets see, throw on Save the best for last with 4-8 stacks with your gun loaded, shoot over an unsafe loop, shoot a survivor vaulting as they are vaulting a window, throw on Monitor and abuse and tell me if he needs skill to get injures and downs. I Pity you.
-
@Joelwino said:
Just loop him like you're looping a huntress, simple. Don't drop the pallet, run through it and maybe juke if he's already scoped in, since the redeemer's hitbox is pretty small and he has no wind up time like the huntress.
He can hit over loops though. Even if you’re ducking at the loop. If you drop pallets at a small loop he can still injure or down you.
-
You can’t counter him. He will shoot you over loops, through walls, through cracks, over pallets, through windows.
-
This killer definitley needs a nerf. All you killer mains are saying he needs more map pressure but ignore the fact how broken his terror radius is and the fact that he can end a chase in 3 seconds if he has save the best for last and can shoot threw the tinest cracks, bait out dead heard, dosen’t need to leave a chase to reload and still manage to down someone. Yup let’s Buff him right?

@Endstille said:
We get instaheal back, lul. Survivor ofc.

I think his add-ons need to be reworked. His Shred is OP if you know how to use it correctly. If you’re bad at timing your shred, you can use it to bait survivors to turn a different direction and land a hit. To make him more OP though, they should add more add-ons that effect his shred rather than his portals. His add-ons are almost all about his portals which, are not bad, but you’ll see demogorgon mains relying on his shred to end chases fast. Maybe give him add-ons that increase his shred range attack or reduce the stun if you miss an attack, and the best one would probably be an add-on(s) that increase movement speed while charging shred.

Sounds good to me! Obviously I want to play it ASAP but if waiting an extra week means a more polished experience then I'm all for it
When has the any chapter, or the game in general ever been polished? Lol.

why is it whenever an update comes out, there’s always something that drags it down. My hype was already fairly low but it just got lower. Fantastic.
if this extra week actually ends up doing something amazing for the game then great, but I don’t see it. The game will still and always will be bug ridden.
Exactly. I agree. Wouldn’t have made a difference if it came out today rather than March 10th with the constant bugs and issues this game ALWAYS has.

If the devs feel like they need an extra week to ensure the chapter is polished up and ready for release, I'm 100% for it. I'm glad the devs are passionate enough to want to give us a good chapter release that isn't overshadowed by bugs and other mess.
There are still going to be many bugs when the chapter comes out. It would have made no difference if it came out today. It’s dead by daylight.... this game is nothing but bugs and issues.

While I'm delighted it seems they are taking extra steps to ensure releases are less buggy... I'm just frustrated that they communicated this only a few hours before a lot of people expected the release. Surely they knew a day or more ago and could have given players the heads up then?
I definitley agree with you. Finding out about a delay last minute sucks.

Deathslinger can down an injured person if he reels them in and hits them.
Exactly, “If” he reels them in. It seems like the chain can get broken around loops, which most survivors would run too if they know he’s coming, making it difficult unless, his add-ons effect that.
-
My reaction when I get hit after dropping the pallet or fast vaulting early with resillience.

Ok clearly the title was too much bate what does inner strength have to do with this
Because inner strength is the better version of self care and will actually give you a reason to cleanse totems. Survivors are not required to cleanse totems to escape. Only generators.
-
@Hoodied said:
This perk is completely fine and punishes survivors for ignoring totems. You failed to cleanse the totems, you pay the price.
This perk isn’t even good to begin with either, as it can be taken out before ever being put into use, while other perks in the hex category are far better and Devour Hope literally gives out a greater reward. So asking for this perk to nerfed is gonna be like Freddy 1.0 all over again to be nerfed, asking for someone who wasn’t even op to begin with to be nerfed because you want an easier game.
If you throw out the stupid “ThIs pErK iS oNlY cOuNtEReD eAsIlY bY sWf”, then use small game or detectives hunch, as those 2 perks, and even detectives, counters every hex perk in the game pretty much.
Because the first primary objective for survivors is to do generators so they have a better chance at escaping. NOED does not reward the killer for survivors not cleansing totems, it rewards a killer for sucking at the game. It’s not a fair perk because the killer can tunnel a survivor for 5 gens and then kill everyone last second who didn’t deserve to die all because of 1 perk and the sad thing is the killer feels like they did something or actually won the match when that happens.

... so, because there don't seem to be enough killers to satisfy the number of survivors looking for a match, your solution is to make the number of killers even smaller by penalizing a killer for lobby dodging? Decreasing the number of killers would increase your wait time.
If you find yourself waiting for long amounts of time in the survivor queue, switch to killer. If it takes forever to get a match as survivor, it's probably nearly instant to get one as killer. No more waiting, problem solved.
I would rather wait 10 minutes to get into a lobby that I know I could stay in and not get dodged rather than waiting 10 minutes just to get dodged for no apparent reason. The thing is, is that even if killers get penalized for 30 seconds, to a minute and so forth, They’ll find a match instantly. What if i don’t want to switch to killer because I’ve played killer all day? What if I want to play some survivor matches. And you’re here saying “just switch to killer and no more waiting”? I’m not trying to sound like a toxic survivor main because I’m not. But why should I have to wait more when the killer dodges for nothing? If you’re going to bring stuff up such as gen speed, looping, SWF and map design, there are moris and perks to help the killer like NOED which I would rather go against then having to wait.

@Runcore said:
I strongly disagree with bans for killers for lobby dodging. Current state of game is highly survivor sided, generators can be done insanely fast so killers at least can dodge lobby if see 3 toolboxes because know that it is not worth of getting gen-rushed and bullied in 4 minutes. Why should I get voluntarily bullied??? After generators speed are fixed then we can talk about these suggestions but now gen-rushing is problem n1. its horrible that there are so many topics where survivors suggest another and another whipping of killers even survivors has great power now.
Yes, of course the game is highly survivor sided at the moment and yes, gen speed is a huge problem at the moment but, killers have perks to fix help them in situations where they cannot control the game as they wish. If you believe you’re going to get bullied or if you think you’re going to go up against a strong SWF then use NOED or bring a mori even if that is not your typical gameplay style. Personally as a rank 1 killer on console (which is stressful just because of the fact that it’s console), I’ve never used NOED because I like to see the mistakes I’ve made if I cannot get any kills. All I’m saying is that there are other ways to cope with your match other then dodging.

I'm sorry but i'm going to disagree with you.
I never said i need to for 4k, i said i wanted to have fun. If they all escape because they were good than its more than fine. It doesn't bother me if i lose, but it does if i know they'll be toxic shits. Again, blame survivors for that.
One thing you're right about, i can get a new match within 20 seconds, so you know what? I don't have to put up with that crap, I can yeet and find a team of normal people to play against.
You wanted to bully? Well enjoy another 10-15 minute lobby, i could not care less
Why do you bring up bullying? Nobody wants to bully. I’m sorry that you’ve had bad experiences with toxic survivors and before you say anything I’ve had horrible experiences with SWF groups since I’m a rank 1 killer but you know, not everyone plays with SWF or plays toxic, so they shouldn’t deserve that type of treatment. If you are going to bring up gen rushing and bullying, then slap on perks to help you just like survivors have perks to help them? AKA NOED.
-
@BlindMole said:
No. I'm sorry but when i get a lobby and see a nea called "toxic nea" or something like that, with her buddy's that have similar names i'm straight up going to yeet.
I'm here to have a good time, not to participate in your bully death squad litle games.
Sick of lobby dodging? Maybe it's time to blame survivors rather than killers
That shouldn’t matter.They might be a horrible SWF or a bad SWF. Either way, dosen’t mean you should dodge. You can’t expect to 4K every match, same with survivor, they can’t expect to escape every match. You could simply DC and find a match in less than a minute. As on the other hand survivors have to wait 7-10 minutes for 1 match even if it’s solo que. The killer lobby dodging makes it worse. Why punish the survivors and make them wait more?
-
@AvisDeene said:

The only reason survivors don't like NoEd is because they don't want to do anything else other than loop the killer into oblivion or repair gens as fast as possible.
Killer plays with a handicap for the entire match, they earn the bonus if the survivors are lazy. You want fast matches, killers want fast kills. You both win with NoEd.
You act as if playing survivor takes much skill. It doesn't, all you need is a good awareness of the pallets and windows around you and to be able to look at the killer while he's chasing you. Playing survivor is much easier and less stress filled than playing Killer.
I disagree with you. Survivor is stressful if you play solo que most of the time and you have 3 other teammates not doing gens, urban evasioning, self caring against sloppy butcher, hiding in lockers, and lasting 4 seconds in a chase.
-
@HazeHound said:
Just show killer who is and who is not in swf. Small bps increase for playing against so people don't dodge constantly.
This way killers can take actually good perks/addons and mori against sweaty 4man groups and not bully randos with those.
Killers dodge either way though, the xbox community of dbd is so small, there are some known toxic red ranks out there that killers hate, so even if that survivor shows up in their lobby they’ll dodge. They need to penalize killers for lobby dodging. We shouldn’t have to wait 15+ minutes to get into a survivor match.
