It’s optimized for PC. I play on PC as well and Performance is way better on there.

What other use for this perk is there except face camping situations?
That perk is ass. They should buff it before the survivor hits struggle phase and during struggle phase. That would really punish the killer.

Did you seriously just complain that the killer wasn't fooled by your attempts to sandbag a teammate? 😂
you’re stupid. Eventually I’m going to take the killer around the whole map and run near a generator with survivors on it. I’m saying that the killer is stupid for not dropping chase and protecting his gens from gates being opened. What are you 5?

All i'm saying is, don't complain about something that is preventable, this case it's NOed.
If you hate it that much, play with a SWF squad.
Learn the totem spawning spots and algorithm, it doesn't take long I promise.
If you are getting chased all game, it is up to your team to get the totems, but if they don't that is a mistake of your team, not really you and certainly not the killers fault it's a perk they are allowed to use, sooner you accept that the better. That's just how the game plays out sometimes.
I can't promise always getting better survivors at high ranks, but they do exist. Solo queuing is hard I know.
Best thing you can do is get the totems you do see and keep an eye peeled for totems that are already broken. Keep track of that stuff.
Thank you, this is a better statement unlike that other comment that stated to do totems instead of rushing gens knowing damn well my post was about being chased the entire game. And yes, I normally have multiple SWF squads on xbox obviously but Since I'm new to steam/PC, I have no choice but to play solo into I run into some awesome people. I know the totems spawns and everything by heart this post was more of rant on how boring it is from both perspectives on chasing 1 person the whole entire game.

Ok Mr.Salty… but having an end game build like BW and NOED then one hitting you is doing something... it takes a perk slot to do that. I actually like having multiple survivors in end game collapse and NOED them then leaving slugs, hoipefully so I can watch the entity come out of the ground and f up two at once... its not like you couldn't have done some hex totems instead of rushing gens. The fault you get one hit here is your own bro.
Once again, since I don't think you read my post, How Am I supposed to do totems if the killer is chasing ME the entire game and ONLY ME, I'm assuming you think I play SWF with comms after being on PC for only 3 days? Because if that was the case, I would of told my teammates to do gens and totems while I'm being chased CLEARLY..... (:

So...sacrificing hook perks and hook points in order to save time and hassle of second chance perks and SWF fookery is scummy. Interesting. Completely forgetting the fact that you have to be afflicted by Torment to be at risk of being caged, which is easy to avoid on larger maps. Especially when you're using UE to walk over any.
Also, PH is still vulnerable to pallets because his ranged ability sucks
Uhm yeah try avoiding it in a chase at a loop when he can just make trails during chase at the loop. I swear people don’t think. And no I’m not gonna crouch in the middle of chase.

And his ranged attack is easy to dodge.
So what if the cage spawns on the other side of the map? He can still go to the cage and instantly down you again and rinse and repeat.

I played PC for a long time (not DBD just PC in general). You have way more control over movement with an analog stick. You can move smoothly in any direction you want. Moving with a keyboard looks and feels so janky.
There is a reason a lot of people playing survivor use a controller, because doing 360's are easier and it's easier to hug loops. You just press the stick in the direction of the wall. With WASD you have to constantly adjust your camera to get the same result and even then it won't be as smooth.
Hence why I say play with a mouse AND controller. You get better aim and movement.
Thank you it helped a lot. I feel like I will get used to mouse and Keyboard eventually but it will take time.

I just switched from ps4 to PC. It took some getting used but it's getting better. For me, the mouse sensitivity is insane. I lowered it from the default and have been gradually increasing it hoping to get accustomed to at least the default setting.
My eyes had to adjust too. I went from playing dbd on a 65 inch tv to a 24in monitor.
Same. My tv was very large and now I only have a 24 Inch monitor. I hope I catch onto the keys soon.

I can help you out since I used to be a console gamer myself.
I made the switch from Xbox to PC a while ago. Now I have over 2000 hours on PC.
I didn't have too much trouble playing killer with M&K (only certain killers gave me issues). Survivor was a lot harder to play.
At first I was using a controller when playing survivor. But then I decided to endure the really bad matches and learn to use M&K. It took a while to get good but I did it (through perseverance).
I highly recommend you learn M&K. Once you do, you'll realize just how superior M&K is.
One last thing I should mention that is very important. DbD was not my first PC game. The first PC game I played was Dragon's Dogma on Steam. That game genuinely helped me get used to M&K. If you're having a really hard time adjusting to M&K, I encourage you to purchase a single player game to help you learn M&K baby steps at a time.
That would be great. I’m just not used to keys. I know you can customize what keys make you comfortable in the settings but tbh I don’t know what to use. The keys to move and turn are so different compared to Analog Sticks.

Exactly. People act like killers don’t play like jerks now a days.
-
@MadLordJack said:
I love how people insist that PH encourages tunelling - the killer literally has to go out of their way to tunnel someone, more so than any other killer. You get shoved to the furthest point away, potentially even into an area filled with pallets. Just because someone has no second-chance perks doesn't mean that are an easy target, it just means they have to actually run away from the killer, not towards them. And that's without mentioning the near-instant saves or the fact that the cages are a snowball tool, not a general use hooking mechanism.
And here's a hint: if you want to constantly state that you are a killer main, maybe mention some of his problems on the killer side of things, instead of a giant rant about people playing in such a way that they should literally be throwing the match because they waste so much time that could have been spent actually pressuring the generators with real hooks. Because guess what: it's far easier and more profitable to tunnel someone as Huntress, Nurse or Spirit.
But you act like going out of your way to tunnel is so difficult when it’s really not. What he’s trying to say is that the sad part about his kit is how broken the cages are and how they indeed allow him to tunnel. Sure he has a ranged attack that can hit through pallets and walls with a Small 5 second cool down if you miss but that’s really not the point here.
-
@upsetelcor said:
Let me preface this by saying I am a killer main. I don't often play survivor, so maybe my view on things for survivors isn't great. However, there's a blatant issue with Pyramid Head. Why don't BT, DS, Pop, etc. work with cages, but moris do? The logic behind being unable to use DS and BT with cages is that they are HOOK perks. Okay, whatever. It's really yikes that this killer literally encourages tunneling, but that's just the game for you. If you can't use your hook perks out of the cage, you shouldn't be able to mori out of the cage.
Moris specifically say (we'll go with an ivory for simplicity) "Grants the ability to kill one Survivor who has been hooked by your hand during the next Trial."
Well, if the cages don't count as hooks for the perks, why should they count as hooks for moris? For that matter, if cages don't count as hooks, why can you hook someone and cage them, for the same 3 states?
For real, man. Pyramid Head is so bad for the game right now. The pure, unadulterated tunneling right now is absurd. Sure, sending a survivor to the cage puts them on the other side of the map, but you can still see the cage, so what's stopping you from going after the survivor again, when they're injured, pretty much completely defenseless and fresh out of the cage? You can't really avoid the trails of torment in chases without nearly guaranteeing giving the killer a hit or a down. You may be able to urban evade through it but in my opinion, there should not be a single killer that makes you put on a perk on the off chance you get them.
BHVR, you say you want the game to be fun for everyone, and from a killers perspective, this absolutely does not seem fun for survivors at all. The tunneling is absolutely rampant right now, and its making half your playerbase want to quit. God knows first 3 games as survivor I played, I got tunneled all 3, and don't want to play survivor at all right now.
Seriously man, I don't understand why BHVR added a killer who literally does something the community has been bothered by for literal years and it needs to be changed. If tunneling has irked the community for years, why make it so easy for PH? He can pick survivors up, just like every other killer. He shouldn't be any sort of special about it. I understand it's supposed to be a cool new mechanic, but in reality, it's making people genuinely not want to play. There is no sort of fun in being tunneled, and it should not be encouraged like this.
Feel free to tell me I'm just whining if you must, but after seeing it from the killers perspective and the survivors, I really do not see where this is good for the game at all.
This is probably THE best post on this forum on why he is so broken. I agree with you 200%.

Range doesn't matter when you can simply side-step it.
It does when you’re really good at predicting or baiting. I agree with this post, but the only thing that’s OP is, and everyone knows, that his cages counters ALL hook perks. You can dodge his ranged attack but people are already getting good with him so in a way it can be really annoying.

You’re literally stupid. First of all you should check how to spell correctly, second of all, you say remove loops and remove meat tree and killer shack but have you forgotten that half the maps had their infinites removed? That's pretty much the operating procedure from most Pyramid Heads I see. They cage someone, then race straight across the map to it in order to tunnel free and clear. Most of the time they get there before survivors can.
My point exactly.

@AChaoticKiller said:
Also heres what tunnelers do for those unaware
they get the survivor in torment, hook them, find them right after being unhooked and send them to a cage, and lastly find them one more time and they are on death hook. I have literally played against a PH that did this and he killed someone in the first 2 minutes of the game since he was only focused on getting them.
Yup but the devs don’t care. Kinda sad tbh. People are screaming for buffs on these forums but don’t realize that he can literally tunnel someone out of the game.

You remind me of someone who wants killers to chase them with roses in pink sunglasses. PH is stupidly weak aside from his cages, which will never work if people don't hit his power. The only way his power works is in a chase and even then, move to the next loop; problem solved.
”move to the next loop” you say, but forgot that half the maps got nerfed which means the almost all maps have massive dead zones unless you’re in an indoor map like the game which has crap tons of pallets.

Except it seems like a complete waste of time travelling to the other side of the map just to tunnel, rather than more effectively use that time to immediately resume gen pressure and find other survivors.
Killers play like jerks now a days for no reason so it’s not a waste of time for them.

This is what I don't understand and I submitted my Feedback during the PTB.
Don't allow Pyramid Head to see where the cages are, what's the purpose of this? All survivor perks to avoid tunneling are useless against him because of the Cage Mechanic, which I think is great! It's so great! BUT why does he need to see them? It makes no sense.
And I'm playing as him all day! I've been playing as him and it makes no sense!
Exactly, if unhooking perks won’t work then at least make it so that he has to find the cage instead of him being able to see it immediately and directly head towards it.

If they did anything to it for these tunneling situations it should just be change it so the killer cant see where the cage is and just get a notification that they have been unhooked instead.
That would be a good idea tbh I’m all for it.

If it is an unsafe loop, why are you trying to loop him at it? It's 5 seconds, in that time you can gain 18-20 meters of distance if you play it smart.
Even if you manage to leave the loop, Half the maps have massive dead zones because of the map reworks so I guarantee you that you’re dead no matter what.

Yeah a cooldown after he launches the ranged attack. I guess I should have worded it better specially for you, but the actual power itself can be used many times at unsafe loop which means he won’t even have to break the pallet.

Yeah from what I seen I understand he has a cool down after he launches the ranged attack but maybe I should of worded it better specially for you, but he can use the ranged attack multiple times at a loop is what I meant until he finally downs the survivor. He doesn’t have to break the pallet unless the survivor is truly juking tf out of him and/or gens are flying.

For me, the answer is absolutely yes. The amount of information this perk gives you is insane.
Hear the lullaby of Huntress? You'll always know if she's headed towards you.
Wraith, Pig, or Ghostface sneaking up on you? You'll know the moment they start closing in.
Not sure if a Spirit is phasing? Simply look for the perk lighting up to tell where she's looking.
It's basically 2 perks for one. Providing knowledge for both in, and out of chase. Premonition, an otherwise decent perk, is completely outclassed by Spine Chill.
My suggestion is to make Spine Chill only active when inside of a killer's terror radius. Make it give knowledge inside of a chase and so that perks like Premonition have a chance to be picked.
Spine chill does not need to be nerfed.
-
@Ramxenoc445 said:
Pls nerf. Terror Radius too small for a killer that can shoot pull and hit me through a vault and have the shot go through tiny objects to pull me back especially if they use monitor and abuse. Anyone with decent aim can abuse his power and call it skill. Sure huntress has a 20m terror radius, but she doesn't pull you back to vaults and has to take more into consideration than deathslinger when getting these hits.
I agree with you 100%. He has no reaction time to his power unlike huntress and his base terror radius already messes with survivors and most deathslingers take advantage of it and still run M&A and not only that, but he has 2 add-ons to reduce his terror radius while aiming. I once heard no heartbeat in a match against him while I was on a gen and got yoinked off. I consider him a stealth killer with how broken he is IMO.

Depends on you.
What is the PC community like?
Pretty standard. Survivors expect to escape every game. Killers expect to 4k every game. However, if a major survivor nerf comes expect constant bitching both in game and on the forums, as well as the standard review bombing.
What should I expect?
For matches, white ranks vs. red ranks (in both directions). For chatting, the usual "gg" (git gud), the occasional "######### nub", and the more-often-than-people-like-to-admit heavy raging from whoever loses. Also, a slew of "-rep" comments on your steam profile if it's public. Because, you know, the kids seem to think "-rep" actually does something...
Comments/advice/anything?
If you're easily offended, close the post game chat box and forget it exists. Actually, just do it even if you aren't easily offended. Also, make your steam profile private before you even start your first match.
Thank you. I appreciate the info.

Can't wait for this MMR to kick in. My only concern is matchmaking times, which are already too long, becoming longer because it has to match based on stricter criteria. I feel like I already play at the highest level, I know players better than me on Xbox but it's not a huge pool and of course they all aren't on at the same time.

I love when a killer facecamps for no reason and then get sh***ed on at the end and gets no kills. They feel stupid, mad, and embarrassed and DC. It’s their fault for taking a chase they know they can’t win. It is toxic in my opinion especially when they beat someone on the hook.
