PH kinda sucks ngl
His ranged dmg attack that can go through walls is a cool idea but poorly executed. It's very easy to avoid and if you miss you get punished heavily, so most the time your gonna be using it when survivors are going for pallets or windows and at that point you might as well play huntress or deathslinger.
Also his addons and perks are a complete joke (It seems BHVR just forgot how to make killer addons and perks after plague).
Honestly PH is really clunky and boring
The changes I would make to him is Reduce the cool down of his ranged attack and make turning in his power easier

Pyramid Head only has one thing, and it's tunneling.
Why are Hemorrhage and Mangled two separate 6k Addons?
What are they thinking. His perks are laughable. His ranged attack has a 5 second cooldown to it and you can just run through it.
He barely gets slowed down when using his ranged attack, and its a really strong one. You guys are probably not using him properly and just spamming his M2 hoping to hit something with it.
How is tunneling real when he sends you to the other side of the map? Did the cage spawn right now to some teammates (which happens often)? Great, get him out of the cage while PH hasn't gotten there yet, giving time to escape. No teammates near the cage? Keep working on gens instead of rushing to save.
Torment
Hook
Tunnel
Cage
This survivor is now screwed if he/she gets caught.
Pretty much ive been using him loads and i found its best to use it when they are vaulting or throwing pallets, plus his baiting potential is amazing fake the ranged attack and watch them panic.
Uh, not sure how often you’ve played against PH, but most of them will immediately go to your cage. It doesn’t matter that it spawns you across the map, they still go out of their way to tunnel.
also, sorry but survivors should have a way to avoid the attack. maybe don’t try to hit people if you can’t see them? I went against a PH that hit me from 3 rooms away. so you just missed :)
Don't try to use his range attack in the open. He plays like a Demogorgon. You only use it at spots it is guaranteed to hit, which either gets you a hit or forces them away from the window or pallet. Using it to bait is important.
I think that's a bit disingenuous.
He hasn't been out that long yet. Sure he's good at tunnelling if you play him that way, but that's like saying all Leatherface has is Insidious Camping.
Pyramid Head may shine in other ways that people just haven't figured out yet.
It's not as bad as people make it out to be. It's just hard to control at first, and requires a skill and a new kind of tactic. And when you do master it, it becomes really powerful. It's balanced. You shouldn't be able to shoot it with little punishment for missing anyway, I feel that'd make him pretty strong. You reward someone for hitting, and punish them for missing. It's not a through the wall Huntress hatchet.
Honestly the two best things you can do with him seem to be:
I was very successfull with this strategy, although sometimes tunneling if an unsafe unhook was made is the best strat to win, even if not fun.
I hate to say it, but I agree.
His M2 attack is really clunky and stiff; possibly intentionally to counter how strong it is (better than Deathslinger IMO, and *his* chase power is all he has).
His Torment Trails don't work too well at zoning outside of chase if the Survivors know they can safely crouch over it.
It's fairly obvious the best use of Torment is just to save for the Mori (or counter DS if the Survivor doesn't know to locker tech).
You have no control of where Cages appear and Torment is removed for both the rescuer and the rescuee. There's no way to know if using a Cage will give you the same pressure as a hook or just let someone immediately save and coop on a gen while you try to establish another chase.
And his add-ons.
Oh boy, his add-ons.
Hemorrhage and Blindness inducing add-ons are not Very Rare add-ons. Hemorrhage is brown at best and Blindness is straight up worthless outside of slug builds - which have like 5000 counters nowadays.
15 seconds of Oblivious is also pointless when it triggers through a chase interaction. The Survivor isn't liable to lose you suddenly just because they have Oblivious; and 15 seconds isn't enough time to break chase and return for a surprise hit against most people on most maps.
Obsidian Goblet is also pretty bad because it doesn't persist after leaving the trail. Unless you're on an indoor map (and then if there's a hook or gen in your vicinity, you lose your Undetectable trail) or camping it's not gonna help. It'd be an okay Very Rare but it's a garbage Ultra Rare.
His other Ultra Rare is good, but it relies on caging which is still only a good idea when circumstances outside you control favor you. And there's also the fact that caging lets 2 people remove Torment.
The Killer Instinct add-ons are bad too; stacking both nets one and a half more seconds of Killer Instinct. If you miss the first 3 seconds, that extra 1.5 probably isn't going to help.
Every other add-on is ok; but derivative and dull. Slight increases to duration, recharge time, and etc. can be helpful of course, but they're not exactly interesting or powerful. I mean, Trails that last 30 seconds longer or 1.5 more meters of his ranged attack aren't usually going to change the outcome of the game.
Maybe it's just me, but with how many things Pyramid Head has going on in his kit I'd hoped for more interesting add-ons: something that changes the effect of thebcages or more for his ranged attack besides three that increases it's length by varying amounts.
To be honest I don’t like him as much I mean I beat a few beginners playing as him.But the other people I’ve gone against who play as him just seem to straight up tunnel.
True.
As a PH main I approve this
Honestly he’s a pushover. He’s easier to bully vs Clown or Leatherface.
