1, Jeff.
I did it for the achievements and the bloody pants. There's no reason for me to Prestige anybody unless I'm going to actually use the cosmetics, which I won't on most characters.
-
Although Slinger is a character I play a ton, but overall he's on the weaker side. Although his chase is quite good, it's still map dependent and ping reliant. If somebodies laggy, then either you're getting shots you shouldn't, or your shot will phase through survivors. Neither are particularly fair, and both happen at least once a game in my experience.
Out of chase he is a mess. A 3/4 man swf with comms, or god forbid OoO, can completely screw over a Slinger. Due to his lack of mobility and his slower speed, he relies greatly on stealth. Strip that away from him and he's just a slow, tall, man with an above average chase.
Edit: Since he's an engineer he could possibly hear generators an extra 8 meters away, and while within hearing radius he can tell the completion by it's aura color. Repair noises could also be heard an extra 8 to 16 meters as well. It doesn't help him in chase, but also band-aids his poor map pressure somewhat.
-
It won't be truly scarier, but Hag may make me slam my knee against my desk from her jumpscares more.
-
I've not seen a hex in the same game where a killer excessively slugs in a few days, so the strong part will not come into play very often.
-
Temple used to be my second favorite map, I think it's still good but I haven't had enough time to digest the changes. Mother's dwelling is just too big, I don't think I need to explain further
-
As long as that 3/4/5 gen between shack and the cabin exists, this is the map I'd want to play on due to constant action on a quarter of the map.
-
The Yeti from Ski Free
-
Maybe not after the update, but as of now the bottles don't really do anything of use.
-
Getting the Abattoir as killer gives me a massive sigh of relief. Out of all the coldwind maps it gives me the least insufferable one. As survivor though I'd probably say Abattoir as well since it's the least corn-y of the corn maps.
-
Disturbed ward is either boring as survivor, or frustrating as killer. Haven't had a chance to play it much since the mid-chapter though.
The chapel is pretty balanced, although the circus part of it could get some more attention.
-
No Place to Hide is a close second in the approach department, but PH's chapter just barely beat it out there. The actual chases music though is easily second to none.
-
Arm = Cleaver = Axe = Mallet = Cleave = Kanabō = literally every other lunge, however they really should add something to more clearly communicate that. Maybe have a second blood claw strike as well?
-
If it was made to where it counts as a hook for the purposes of perks, then BBQ and Pop would become meta on him as well. Having a killer that is not "meta" is a good idea.
-
I noticed this too, it was a good laugh but it was definitely strange.
-
This map has become one of my favorites now that the loop has been dealt with. I enjoy this map primarily on killer because I enjoy playing around the mine, but as survivor it's still enjoyable since I can break the 3 gen (solo-q teammates rarely do this, so that also helps for killer). The middle is definitely powerful, so that means the killer has an actual decision of if they should continue to chase or not. The middle generator is also one that could be defended, but could also be a waste of time depending on the killer.

Anyone who votes Autohaven or Ormond is a survivor main looking for easy games.
Autohaven is pretty decent for killer, aside from Blood Lodge. Slinger especially shreds on many of those maps. Azarovs is also a nightmare for survivor if the killer plays it right.
-
Surprised that Object isn't on this list, it'd be top dog 100%
-
Deathslinger, he isn't a pushover like many of the others, however (like my past 4 games) OoO basically makes him a worthless killer.
-
Both of them cut the game short. An example of a key that royally pissed me off was after protecting a nasty 4 gen on Suffocation pit, one of the survivors opens up the hatch right in front of me, screwing the other two over (one was on hook, the other was injured on the other side of the map). The best part was that they didn't have plunders, but still found it in a chest. Mori's are Mori's you see them at the start of the game so they don't really have a surprise factor.
Edit: After yet another 3 gen on Wrecker's Yard, one key allowed all 3 other survivors to escape within 15 seconds after getting the first kill. They were also cocky in post game, just to make the unsatisfactory ending even more insufferable.
-
BBQ can be countered by being within 40m (5026.55m², over half of most maps), or hopping in a locker. You can also use the perk Off the Record (which also compliments OoO) if you don't want to be seen by BBQ, or use any of the other counters. Distortion also works, but distortion isn't that good due to being very limited.

There's a reason why the stagger reduction is restricted. Hawkins, Haddonfield, Disturbed Ward, and almost every map with a major multi-storied structure would become extremely powerful, especially those that I had mentioned by name. Haddonfield became the most hated map almost exclusively because of how old BL made people nigh uncatchable, same with Hawkins. Very few killers could deal with people under those conditions in a time-efficient manner, those being Spirit, Nurse, Freddy, and Clown (surprisingly).
-
It more or less is about traversing the map, and certain killers, like deathslinger, can easily achieve those in one game. It's also one of the few challenges that both roles can complete, so I'm fine with it as long as it's not a master challenge.
-
Just tampering with the chances of getting Random Location Reverse Skill checks is really all he needs. He's honestly balanced where he's at right now, so this minor nerf would keep him where he's at while also making him less irritating.
-
It's Ronaldinho from Ronaldinho soccer 64. I have insider information given directly from John Madden confirming this.
-
That mix tape is honestly pretty pog, it's not as good as Wraiths, but both are extremely good addons to have. I'd say the only ones to come close to the iridescents though are the Fatigue and Duration Addons.
-
The faster the reload the better
-
Spirit is the only killer that cannot die, because they're already dead. All of the other killers (with the exception of Freddy) are physical, and can be killed.
If Spirit can be killed again, then probably Oni. The Yamaoka family is full of beasts.
-
Most basements don't work for this challenge, meanwhile most maps the other ones are all possible. Dark Senses can be easily done with a SWF, and Fight Back isn't as luck dependent.
Insidious Camping doesn't work that well either, as it's extremely likely that people will catch on and not give you those extra kills, Hag doesn't work well either as many people will not risk going down into basement against her.
-
This would be better placed in other locations, not in the polls section.
-
Halloween and TCM are both tied for me, their original titles are absolute classics.
-
Topknot, closely followed by the Glove. The Crest would be good too, if the range was larger.
-
This update's made the game a lot more balanced, and I'm not having many issues. The games can definitely fly by a little bit, but you have to play smarter, choose about half the map and never leave it. If the gens are on the other side then ignore them, they aren't worth your time. Try to fake out the survivor and make them run into you.
Also, this isn't a poll. Please put this in Discussions if you want more people talking.
-
More Content = More Players, like how Senzu said. Space's point was that 'Core balance changes lead to more players' but then he also lists off changes to specific killers as examples. That's not core balance, and the only core balance changes we've really had has been this last update. Balance changes as a whole will bring new players, not just the core ones.
-
Masterpiece because the ability to teleport more frequently is quite powerful.
-
The Letter, the VHS, and the Crate were all close calls. The letter though can completely change her playstyle and is quite powerful if you know how to utilize it. On certain maps it is pretty bad, but that's what map offerings are for.
-
Why'd you only list the basic three? I don't particularly enjoy any of them that much.
-
A - Not a poll, this shouldn't be in polls.
B - We already have Spirit, having 2 Japanese style spirits with long hair would make less sense than adding two psycho hillbilly's with chainsaws.
-
A good Oni can potentially be much more powerful than a good Billy, but Billy is more consistent. Oni falls into the same boat as Trapper and Hag, he either has a feast or a famine, with little in-between. Oni capitalizes on mistakes better than any other killer, but he also has to rely on them in order to get his power frequently. Once he gets his power though, a top notch Oni can easily get the game in the bag.
Oni is to Billy what Hag is to Trapper, a souped up variant of the original with a very different playstyle and aesthetic. It's like comparing Grapes to Wine, it's an obvious comparison, but both offer extremely different experiences.
-
Sure, eventually. It makes sense for them to spice up their own personal kills, but there are more important things to develop at the moment, mostly when talking about balance between perks and killers.
-
Jeff Johanson, as if you couldn't tell by my profile picture. His backstory is by far my favorite, and is the only one that I can say is legitimately well written. It is nice and concise, it shares a large part of his personality, it shares his life events, and the impact his disappearance had, all within a few short paragraphs.
-
Jeff has my favorite backstory of the lot, he has my personal favorite perk, and his design is nice and simple. Jeff just looks good, and he has several good cosmetics.
Also, you forgot Steve.
-
Although it is annoying, you can still mend. If the mend is caused by a low level BT, then you could always find a teammate to mend you instead. It's not ideal, but changing this would break the schtick of madness
-
I'm mostly neutral on her, so I'm going to default to no. It'd be more interesting to have a new character instead of another licensed one, especially a license that is parody.
-
Carburetor, Grease, Long Guide, Beast Marks, and Primer are all pretty good. The Tuning guide though is just absolutely nuts, so many things cramped into a singular addon. It's just a shame that his only unique addons aren't even useful (Looking at you, Chili), or are detrimental (Looking at you again, Award Winning Chili).
-
If the BP gains weren't in the equation, I'd still use this perk on several killers. Although Knock Out is an extremely good perk on Oni and myers etc it's not versatile enough to stack up to the effect of BBQ. Extra BP is also always appreciated.
-
I could be wrong, but wasn't the hum just getting reset more often? The lullaby was always how it is right now, but it's just being played out in full.
-
Clown is by far the weakest killer, his power isn't impactful enough at most loops to really make him a threat. At least legion has decent tracking and can get easier injures, and Bubba has the Instadown and multi-hit potential. Although Bubba's addons are definitely worse, that isn't enough to push him to the same level as Clown. Bubba actually has synergy with perks like PWYF, clown doesn't have any aside from the basic M1 killer ones.
Clown is the only killer in the game that has no real reason to play them instead of another killer. Why would I play clown when Freddy exists? Hag is more mobile and adaptable than Trapper. Bubba has actual mindgames with the Chainsaw that Billy doesn't, Bubba's also easier to pick up and play. Oni's got the flick, Billy doesn't. Ghostface plays more stealthily than Myers. Freddy is both easier to play, more fun, AND more effective, so why would I play Clown?
-
If I could only have one Addon, I'd probably choose Infantry Belt, Yew Seed Concoction, or Oak Haft. I'd choose Infantry though because it's the most impactful whenever I play her.
Obviously though, Iri Head is her most powerful, but I'm bad at aiming so only having one of them's a big deal.
-
Finally, a killer I main!
Both Iridescents are absolutely brutal, but the King is by far the superior option. The Queen makes it more difficult to micro-manage Madness, so it doesn't synergize with other addons that well. The King doesn't care for combos, he IS the combo.
@Boss said:
Still feel his base range is too short.
And if you're gonna use an enlarger, might as well go huge!
The Electrodes are meh, they used to be amazing when they increased the width, but just increasing length isn't that helpful imo, I'd rather use any of the Files, since their effects are much more potent.
-
With Pig, you can use Ambush to get some points, but with Plague there really isn't much of a great way to get Deviousness, of course you can spit on things, but once every bodies broken it's a waste of time.
