Why are you taking this as a personal attack? And nice Grade 4 level comeback there mate... where'd you pull that one from? Your arse? I was not saying this is a blame-game; I simply stated that this thing has a beginning and no end, and it is not this person's fault that they were ensnared in this never-ending circle of aggressiveness. If you are somehow offended by -- or vulnerable because of -- that simple statement, then you either misconstrue points for ignorance's sake alone, or you are just that daft and/or dense that you take every comment, however insignificant and unrelated to yourself, to heart. Either way, you're seemingly attached to some idea that I was coming after you. You need to sort things out mate...
Its simply Nonsense to be toxic to some random people who did nothing wrong in the first place. Someone who does this should not complain about getting teabagged for no reason, they are doing the same.

As others have said, Achievements are not really a reliable source. And the more you play a game, the less likely it is that people have some Achievements, especially those which are based on time.
As an example, since I noticed it during one of my Dark Souls 2-Runs:
Self Recollection-Achievement (Creating a Character)-->99,18%
Welcome to Dark Souls (dying for the first time)-->97,13%
Last Giant (defeat the first Boss)-->73,67%
Like, those are basically the first three Achievements to get, and already the second one I posted has 2% less than the first one. So this either means that those 2% never died, OR that they created a Character and were like "Woah, great game, I will never touch it again!"... Second is more likely.
And the first Boss got only defeated by 3/4 of the players. And the more you go into the game, the less people achieved those Achievements.
Same with DBD - Achievements which take time (like getting 1000 Kills) will get more rare over time. At the very least, you have to play 250 games, which would already equal to like 40 hours? And this only when you get 4Ks every game, if we consider 2Ks, you would need already 80 hours to complete that. And this is only real-playtime, not Lobby Wait time, etc...
So someone who touches the game briefly will not have those Achievements. This does not mean that the DBD community consists of 97% of Survivor Mains who never touch Killer...
-
I hate it. I rarely bring Items, but you can guarantee, when I bring an Item and a White Ward, the Killer will have Franklins.
Also, most of the time I see it when an event is going on and I usually try to collect the Event Items, Franklins just makes it more annoying to do that.
-
You can run Fathers Glasses, however, Fathers Glasses are really a Crutch and on top of that, they are Iridescent, so you will not have them every game.
You can play Spirit without Stridor just fine (you will have to do it in a week anyway, when the Midchapter drops, because Stridor will not counter Iron Will anymore), but IMO you really NEED Headphones to play well with Spirit. In general, playing Killer is way better and easier with Headphones, but it is even more important for Spirit.
-
I would feel more comfortable if the Map would pop up more often. I had it 7 times since it was released, impossible to get used to it in such a short amount of time. (5 times as Killer (Demo, Pig, Doctor, Plague, Legion) and 2 times as Survivor)
My games were alright on it so far, the only criticism for me is that the Map is too dark, sometimes it is really hard to see in the corridors.
It is not my favorite Map and will never be my favorite Map. However, I think the DBD-Community is like a spoiled child - they complain and complain. Yes, this Map is different than others, but it is one Map out of 36. The amount of whining because of it is really out of proportion.
-
The Build I use and am comfortable with:
BBQ-->Just for stonks to be honest. But it is also nice to see Survivors if you are not at Tier 3 already.
Corrupt Intervention-->Best Slowdown-Perk.
Lethal Pursuer-->To get into the game as fast as possible, yes, you will only have 3 Perks after 9 seconds, however, getting into a chase ASAP (and getting the Mutation Rate growing ASAP) is important.
Infectious Fright-->Nemesis shreds through Pallets pretty quickly, so I just run Infectious Fright because the possibility is quite high that I already got rid of most Pallets in one area, so it might be an easy chase to get the Survivors I see with IF.
STBFL is also decent on him, however, I did not use it anymore, because I felt forced to use my M1, when I wanted to go for the M2 instead, just to rank up Stacks. But a strong Perk on him.

Yet, by that, you yourself are ignoring the fact this whole vicious cycle began with a handful of toxic Survivors? The wheel spins infinitely, my friend.
How old are you? 4?
"Mooom, he started it!"... Doesnt matter who started it. Being a dick because someone was a dick to yourself is not the correct way. In the end, you are bad to someone who was not bad to you in the slightest, for no apparent reason.
-
And than you are a dick to some players who just play nice. Yay.

Is that another one of those surveys that take 20+ minutes to answer and apparently never results in anything because the next chapter will have the same problems if not worse?
To be fair, you cannot really expect the Survey to have any impact on the next Chapter. Chapters are planned long in advance (I think a year?), so your answers from the Survey will probably not be reflected in the design for at least 6 months.
-
Survivors:
Every Survivor, except the RE-Survivors, are P3-50 full Perk again (missing the RE-Perks, so they got them now).
Every Survivor has at least one of each Event Items and at least one Cake.
Jill/Claire is P3-50 with all Perks, Leon is P3-50 and I guess I am about halfway-through.
Killers:
P3-50ed Nemesis with all Perks (and still over 100 Cakes left)
13 Killers have all Perks now (some were missing Nemesis Perks, some were missing Nemesis and Tricksters Perks, some were missing more)
A few more Perks on Killers who are not finishd yet. I hope I have all Killers P3-50 with all Perks after the Bloodhunt.
And overall I guess around 250-300 Cakes left on all of my Characters.
-
I see both Nemesis and PH frequently. Faced one Nemesis and two PHs yesterday.
(And 4 Freddys, 3 of them on Midwich... :( )
-
One of Myers outdated Add Ons, will be removed/nerfed hopefully. And I dont really get why people say it takes much stalk, most of the time it is used with the J.Myers Memorial and the Fragrant Tuft of Hair alone does not need that much stalk.
-
IMO pipping as Killer is already easier than Survivor. I get way more Double-Pips as Killer (very rarely as Survivor) and I rarely Depip. Even if 4 people escape, I am more likely to get a Blackpip than a Depip.
The only thing that should change is that Emblems should be reconsidered for some Killers. Like, I should not get punished with a bad Emblem because I go Chainsaw-only as Billy. I remember when I tried to get his Adept, I did not get it because I used my Chainsaw two times (!!) on healthy Survivors.
I should also not get punished as Plague if the Survivors decide not to cleanse, which means that I have less Health States to remove, which hurt my Emblem as well.
So for individual Killers, the Emblem System should get some Tweaks. But not for Killer overall.

Because it's the same effective price. A currencies international trading value isn't determined by what it's worth within it's own borders.
^ this.
An easy way to understand this is the Big Mac-Index - same product, different price, dependant on the Purchasing Power Parity.
(Like, I was in Australia a few years ago and I was pretty baffled how expensive some things were, compared to Germany. And then one of the Australians I worked with told me that their minimum wage is around 30-40% higher than in Germany (or in general, they earn more money, if we convert both in US-Dollar/International Dollar)... So it is just logical that things there are a bit more expensive)
-
Yep, this is what Killers did before the DC-Penalty was a thing. Happened quite frequently before its introduction.
Just hope for the penalty coming back (but in general, Franklins Demise will be an annoying Perk forever... Most Killers seem to bring it during events..)

This why I always bring T-Virus Sample (more mutation from hitting zombies, green add-on) and Marvin's Blood (more mutation from hitting Survivors, yellow add-on). I've gotten to tier 3 very quickly with this before and it is great. The Survivors have to deal with a full power Nemesis from the very beginning of the game.
Basically this. With the Mutation Rate-Add Ons it is not really hard or does much time to get to Tier 3 (always under the premise that you are actually able to hit with the Tentacle).
And IMO this needs change, his base Mutation Rate should be buffed a little bit and the Add Ons should be nerfed. I brought him from P0-1 to P3-50 all Perks using Mutation Add Ons and honestly, I dont know why I should use any other Add Ons on him. And this is wrong.

"The Killer is very well designed with a very clear goal. Mechanicly Twins is problably the best designed Killer ingame with a very balanced power. Yes a big argument is that Twins is a very slug heavy Killer, and now what? Same as Oni or Nurse, why are ppl not complaining aoub tthem?"
I mean, neither Nurse nor Oni have a very fast projectile with the hitbox-size of a Truck to down you.
-
During the Anniversary they said they will release 4 Chapters and 2 new Maps. One of them the RE-Map.
So we will get a new Map, either because it is a licensed Chapter or because they finished the Updates of existing Maps and are ready for a new one.
-
I swear, nowadays every Survivor has Lithe.
-
As long as Bloodlust exists - yes, safe Pallets are a good design. You need those with Bloodlust, you need Pallets which need to be broken.
Personally, I think there should be no Bloodlust, very few safe Pallets on each Map and a huge number of unsafe Pallets. Unsafe Pallets are playable by Killers, they are fair. The better player wins.
And IMO it would be a better design, because good Survivors will be rewarded. Everyone can play a Longwall-Pallet, but playing unsafe Pallets is more difficult.
-
Not really a Nerf, a complete Rework.
Her ability is outdated and should not exist in this form anymore. She is from a time where real Infinites were a thing.
There are two reasons why there are no mass-complaints about her:
- A good Nurse is rare
- A good Nurse took time to learn her
But thats about it. The thing is, nobody needs to learn Nurse these days. Every Killer is viable in Red Ranks and there are a bunch of Killers which help to 4K most of your matches. Back when Nurse was created, only she was able to do that, now you have a huge variety, so nobody needs to bother learning Nurse. You can win almost as many games with Spirit, while only using a fraction of time to learn her.
I guess if more people would invest their time in learning Nurse, we would see more complaints.
So yeah, I guess she needs a serious rework. It should not be basically impossible to lose once you learned her enough. It also should not be impossible to win when you did not put that much time into her.
Like, she needs to be tuned down, but also be more accessible for newer players (like, it should not be as punishing to swing after missing a Blink, as an example).
-
They should have changed this Add On when reworking Clown and I am really surprised they did not do it back then.
IMO not really different from Iri Head, getting direct Bottle Hits is pretty easy, especially if the Survivor is intoxicated before.
-
The thing is, the maximum progression gained with this Perk is around the same as a Brand New Part. And this means that your team is basically dying.
Dont know if that is worth a Perk Slot, when you can just bring a BNP and use it whenever you like and not when your team is getting obliterated.
-
Dont feel really sorry when I consider that this little piece of ######### flew past me on multiple occasions and still hit me.
-
Just imagine how Ghostface was... Super-loud while in Stealth, global Sound that he entered Nightshroud and you basically had to sneeze at him to break him out of Stealth.

Pretty much this. It was dead from release.

Highly doubt that it is possible.
Personally, I would not care for stretched resolution. Unless they are a streamer or Content Creator in general, you cannot prove it anyway. So why bother?

You obviously misunderstood what they said.
Is it not ridiculous that it is fairly common that in the time it takes a Killer to down ONE Survivor (8% of their objective), the Survivors often complete 40% of theirs.
Does that not seem unfair?
You cannot really say that each Gen is 20%. I mean, looking at the plain numbers, this is the result. But, DBD is not just "Do 5 Gens". The first Gens are way easier to complete than the last Gen(s), so those will probably give less completion.
Like, if 2 Gens are done, I would not say that they already did 40%, they did less. 2 Gens done is probably in every game, but we see that the Killer can still win the game easily without losing another Gen.
So you cannot really say that each Gen is 20% and then mean that they all need the same effort - the last Gens need way more effort than the first Gens.

You seriously complaining about zombies, just go to a different gen, they’re only 2 of them and is easily counter by flashlights. I don’t find it annoying, I actually enjoy zombies as a a survivor they even block nemesis in tight corridors so he is force to destroy them. Maybe buff the zombies speed or let perks work with them. Besides it’s rng and they’re really slow and only time they shine is in loops or hiding around corners. They suck at gen defense since you can perma blind them since flashlights blind them for 30 seconds which is a long time
You fail to understand the difference between "annoying" and "too strong".
-
I think he is alright.
But, I think the Zombies are pretty annoying, an original Killer with Nemesis Power would probably not come with Zombies - they are only implemented because it is an RE-Chapter.
I really dont get why the Killer should get free zoning - as braindead as the Zombies are for most of the time (sometimes their AI is terrible), they are not too strong or anything, but getting smacked by a Zombie during a Chase or having to leave a Gen/Totem/whatever, just because of RNG is annoying.

But it doesn't do that.
A survivor dying on first hook is bad for the killer, you only get one hook score event out of it, but the counter counts it as 3, so you can't even rely on the information the counter is giving you.
Also, without individual survivor hook counts, it can be hard to keep track of who you have and haven't hooked, and can lead to inadvertent tunnelling, especially with multiples of the same survivor. So without it, you get accidental tunnels. Meanwhile actual tunnelling killers will tunnel regardless, and already know who they're going after because they're only focusing on one survivor.
I mean, I dont need either, like I know who has been hooked that often. In the end, those are 4 Survivors and everyone should be able to keep track of their Hook States. It is really not that difficult.
However, I agree that the Killer Hook-Counter should count actual hooks and not Hook Stages. Because the actual Hooks are important for the Emblems, not the Hook Stages.

One Swedish streamer has a world record of something like 250-300 escapes in a row, but they used very cheap tactics so not nearly as impressive than let's say No0b3.
They deranked to green/purple every day, used keys, map offerings, DS/UB/Adrenaline/SB/DH, the streamer played Blendette and his teammates were toxic as hell towards the killer to derail the attention off of him. It was mostly just bully simulator and gen rushing, so mostly disgusting and not impressive at all.
As for my personal record, I had a 20 escape streak in green/yellow ranks and 16 escape streak in red ranks as a solo survivor.
I know the Streamer and I dont think they deranked. I played against them multiple times (granted, not during their Streak) and almost always got them. They were not playing seriously all the time, but those long Streaks are only possible in a 4 man SWF when the whole team is basically dying to get one person out.
And if you want Streaks that big, you have to bring the best Stuff like Keys or Map Offerings. Otherwise it is not possible to escape that often, those are absolute edge cases.
@Topic:
I doubt that there is anything like long Streaks for 4 man escapes. At max, tournament squads would be possible to do that, but those usually dont play in Public Matches, so I doubt that this ever happened. As I have written above, Survivor Streaks are usually only obtained by Individuals in 4 man SWFs, if everyone dies to get this one person out.
-
This is your 4th thread on this Topic. I highly doubt that the Devs will change their mind on that one, the new Hook UI for Killers is mainly positive feedback if they are doing well.
-
Survivors got fed up by the constant Nerfs of those Killer-sided Devs. Dont believe this?
My Instant Survivor-Queues say otherwise!!!111
(Most likely event-related, it is way easier to get Bloodpoints as Killer and also way easier to get Cakes as Killer. However, it is like this since the RE-Chapter released, so not sure if it will be different after the event concluded)
-
More information.
Totem Counters, Chase-Indicator, possibly a Wheel to communicate with your teammates "I am doing a Generator"... "I am a Meghead"... stuff like that.
Ingame-Voicechat is obviously not an option - was talked about often enough, and I highly doubt that anyone wants to hear 14yr olds shouting in their 5 Dollar microphones, possible in a language someone does not even understand. Let alone that there are still players who want an immersive experience, and you cannot force them into Voice Chat.
(And yes, they would be able to turn it off, however, you should not be at a big disadvantage at this point... Especially, if you consider that you can also be willing to communicate via Voice Chat, but still be at disadvantage, because teammates do not have it enabled)
BUT - I highly doubt that this will ever happen. The Devs were against the idea of Kindred being Basekit (even before they buffed it, so the Buff is not a reason to be against it) and a Totem Counter was asked for for years, we finally got it - tied to a Perk. There will never be a solution to close the gap between Solos and SWFs.
-
It is most likely latency. Since Dedicated Servers launched, Huntress is one of my least favorite Killers to go against, before, she was one of my favorites. Especially if you live in a Region where people connect who dont have a Server next to their own Region. So the Killer ends up with 100+ Ping (at best, most likely 150+) and you see really weird Hatchet-Hits.

Yeah, it's weird. I got her like three times in a row yesterday.
Poor guy. :( And I really mean it, 3 games against Hag in a row would make me quit DBD for the evening at least.
@Topic:
The idea is neat, however, 300 is a very small sample size. Whenever BHVR releases stats like this they probably look at around hundreds of thousands of games in those. 300 is quite small, at best, you can get a general direction.
This shows that you only had 2 Nurse- and 2 Trickster-games... Those are sample sizes where it is impossible to draw a conclusion.

Yeah I've noticed that. Most of the time they don't get a chance to camp till late game anyway cause they can't catch anyone
This is one reason why it is a terrible designed Perk. There is no way for Survivors to do all Gens AND all Totems while one person is camped on the Hook. A camping Killer with NOED is basically guaranteed to get 2 Kills.
-
Its unfair because you can be the worst Killer-player in existence (drastically said) and still get value out of it.
I wish they would rework it to a strong Perk which is actually rewarding the Killer - someone who played well during the whole game, but did not manage to win at this point gets a Reward for playing well. Not that guy who struggled to down one Survivor and camps them for the rest of the game.
-
Camping and NOED usually go hand in hand.

It's really not, in context. I don't understand why you're leaping to defend survivors that were BMing at every turn and ragequit as soon as the tide turned against them. They're already bad people and not players you want to engage with; I don't need to find more reasons to label them as such.
I am not defending them in the slighest. Would be nice of you to show me the parts where I defended them for their behavior.
I was just pointing out that it is a bit of a stretch to call that smurfing.

I'm not really inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to players who play like bullies and then ragequit when they end up losing, you know?
Saying that a Rank 10 close after Rank Reset is smurfing is just grasping for a straw to point with the finger on the Survivors. "Those bad people!!!"
-
Yes, Pipping is bugged for Survivor for a while now. I can have 24k games and dying and still barely make the Blackpip (meaning: one Emblem less and I would have depipped).
I dont know what exactly is bugged, but I am barely ranking up currently and I highly doubt that I got worse in the last month.
-
@Laluzi said:
They're also smurfing. Guess they really can't take killers that can keep up with them.
Yeez. Smurfing because of that one Rank 10?
Rank Reset happened 3 days ago, if that person was purple before, they went back to 9 and losing 1 pip brought them to 10. Thats not really smurfing, really.
-
You can run whatever you like but dont expect players to like it.
And IMO, Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer is basically the "I am bad at Killer"-Starter Pack.

Considering they thought about the Exit Gates regressing when nobody is on them, but decided not to implement it when bringen EGC into the game - no, clearly not an oversight.

Survivors can body-block me for the entire match. That's much longer than 4 minutes. Killers can also do this, though so maybe toxicity is neutral.
If you are playing a Killer, they cannot body-block you for the entire Match. If you are playing a Survivor, this is true, but a bannable offense - other than slugging someone and let them bleed out for 4 minutes, this is completely fine for the Devs.

I would argue that while Killer toxicity has a bigger impact on the match, Survivor toxicity can have a bigger impact on people's mental health.
There was a great Reddit post from a psychologist that talked about it.
Eh, I doubt that either side (or their respective toxicity) has a bigger impact on peoples mental health.
