That can change if they deliver the promised Solo Q improvements
Those Solo Q-Improvements will do nothing.

5 perks against 3-4 swf premades would be a good start to balance the game
Not really, because most 3-4 man SWFs are not a problem for most Killer players.
The Survivors dont become godlike just because they play with their friends.

Thats just RNG. It could also be two doorways (in the first room you are in).

"M1 Simulator".
Doing gens is "M1 Simulator".
Opening a chest is "M1 Simulator".
Cleansing at a fountain is "M1 Simulator".
Using an alarm clock is "M1 Simulator".
Opening an Exit Gate is "M1 Simulator".
Healing a Survivor is "M1 Simulator".
This phrase is meaningless.
There is a big difference between pressing M1 to actually progress the game (Survivors cannot escape if they dont do Gens) and pressing M1 which does not progress the game.
And sorry, in my opinion, games against Legion take far too long. And this has nothing to do with the strength of Legion or that I am too stupid to realize the genius counterplay of splitting up. I prefer a Nurse who wrecks the Survivors in 3 minutes over a 20+-game against Legion every day.
-
I play this game. 3 Flashlights? Wannabe-Bully-SWF? I like free wins. Those are the guys who watch their favorite Survivor Main-Streamer and want to act like them, but skip the step of actually getting good at the game.

It's funny whenever survivors complain about mending as if they don't waste time healing themselves in CoH or booning totems as is.
And if Legion only ever feral frenzys he's not getting downs as getting the 5 hit down is hard against teams who properly spread out and wait out mending.
Did you think before writing this?
If a Survivor heals, they are healthy, meaning they will be able to tank one hit (except for Instadown-Powers or stuff like that of course). If they mend, they will not be able to do that.
Mending is just wasted time and you are as vulnerable as before as Survivor.
@adam1233467 said:
you won't be able to nerf legion like you did with wraith, just because he needs to use his brain to play against
And another one - do you really think that every Survivor is stupid? It is not rocket science to not fully mend in the Terror Radius and to not heal against Legion.
-
@MB666 said:
so you are calling a legion nerf because people dont want to learn how to spread out and dont mend every time they get hit.🤦

@Topic:
I mean, the game is fun when you dont play M1-Simuilator against Legion. Today I did not face a single Legion, the game was much better than two days ago. So maybe it becomes a bit better now.
Does not change the fact that games against Legion are a total snoozefast and dragged out way too much, but at least there is less of it.

Why do a stream then, in the first place. You can't blame people for wanting answers on certain topics, only to get an answer like "we can't say anything". Don't take the question when you can't answer it.
So, you would be happy if they would just ignore them?
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:

Wait you mean asking the exact same questions every single time won't give a different answer?? Shame
What I mean is that often when they said that they were working on something, they stated that there is no ETA given for that. And STILL people believed, the thing they talked about will 100% come to the game. Sometimes with "They said this Midchapter-Patch.". I remember the Early Game-thingy they were talking about. They scrapped it at some point and said that and even afterwards, it was still asked.
And it will probably be asked about during the next Q&A.
And on the other hand, if they have questions which they dont want to answer for whatever reason, they can either say that they will not be able to answer them right now OR they can ignore them. Either way it is bad. So if people complain about them saying "We cannot talk about this", the alternative would be to not even mention the question at all, which would be equally upsetting (at least) for those who were asking.
-
@FeelsBadMan said:

"that much time mending"
these same survivors will place 10 boons, hold m1 for 5x80 seconds for gens and dont forget will self care against Legion 22 times during the match. They hold m1 entire game for every other objective or move....
But mending is simply too much
Survivors have to hold M1 for 5x80 seconds on Gens to actually have a chance to escape.
The Mending time is not instead of holding Gens, it is on top of it.
Not that hard to understand tbh.

Yeah, but you will face people who did not have a 3 month-Break.

It's definitely frustrating. They keep nerfing Killer when Survivors are in desperate need of a nerf themselves. I think just adding time to how long it takes to finish a generator would be a start. But Survivors have too many second chances and there's FOUR of them. The longer you play the more you will notice the imbalance. MMR and SWF is hurting the game, for sure.
If I had a Bingo-Card for bad takes, I would have just gotten a Bingo. You really used all the phrases possible.
@Topic:
Grades are not used for Matchmaking.
Also, if you are playing casually, why do you care so much about winning? I mean, sure, winning is more fun than losing, but do you really expect to rock a 4K after 3 months of not playing?
-
Doctor is more common than Hag.
However, you have to keep in mind that we have so many Killers. So the odds of seeing all of them on a regular basis are pretty small.
And Hag was always one of the least picked Killers, because you really, really, really have to like her gameplay to have fun with her. And I am not sad about it, faced one yesterday, got put into the Basement with a Gajillion Traps around it and died on my first Hook. Same happened to another Survivor, so a 2K with 2 Hooks for the Hag.
This was enough Hag for me for this month.
-
This is one of the only things that gives some depth to Ghostface. Removing it would make him even more dull to play.

I'm not having problems facing the buffed Legion. People should learn to not mend as soon as the killer hits them. If you're smart about it you don't need to mend non-stop.
You are one of the people who think that all Survivors are stupid, am I right?
@Topic:
Yes, Legion needs a change. They buffed them and they were in need of a change. However, Legion needs a complete Rework. With their current power they will never be a good Killer.
Currently the only thing what Legion does is set you back into Mending as often as possible while running at least 3 Slowdown-Perks, which drags the game out to 15-20 minutes. And at this point, they have it quite easy, because most ressources will be gone, so downing someone as an M1-Killer is more than possible at this point.
I am honestly back to the point where I just want to give up against Legion. Gens take 96 seconds due to 4 Thana-Stacks, more M1-Pressing due to Mending and the progress you got will be wiped away with Pain Resonance and/or PGTW. It is not like the games are difficult or that new Legion is too oppressive per se. But their ability to drag every game out to such an extend makes the games really, really boring and I would rather prefer to face some Nurse or Blight who end the game in 5 minutes.
-
Always sad if content gets removed.
But I will not miss Hawkins. I really disliked the Map. I only liked it as my go-to Map for those "Break X Pallets and Generator"-Challenges, because you dont need to break most of the Pallets right away and there are enough to make good progress for the Challenge.
But other than that, I never liked to be on this map with either role.

But 5 minute games aren't good either
Better than 20 minute-games. Where the Legion just takes 3-4 Slowdown-Perks and you have to press M1 even longer.
And at some point it does not matter that they are a M1-Killer, because if the game lasts long enough, the ressources are gone.

i disagree. play with the right perks and hes a power house- source: legion main with many many many 4ks against a whole slew of survs (both swf, solo and what not)
generalizing legion as a snooze fest because some people play a less aggressive style is inaccurate.
I am speaking from the Survivor-perspective.
But from a Killer-perspective as well, they should be reworked to actually become a strong Killer.
-
I mean, Legion was never fun to play against. You press M1 as Survivor to get out of the game. And Legion just gives you more M1-Pressing. And every Legion seems to run Thanatophobia, so Gens dont take 80 seconds, they take 96 seconds. And then they run at least two more Slowdown-Perks.
Legion-Games are just a big snoozefest. And they have always been a big snoozefest. Legion should be reworked completely, with that power, they will never be a really strong Killer and always be a pain to go against.

From what I know the Devs had some part in the tournament as the streamers were given killer codes for free... Even Demogorgon codes who is no longer for sale.
Giving away codes is different from organizing a tournament. But personally, I think they should not get involved in any tournament with such a huge amount of money you can earn.

The Problem is they just showed a bad experience to 500K Viewers.
Imagine, your favorite streamer who is normally great at any games just said "I'm uninstalling this #########. Never playing this again" Would you try that game yourself?
You know, I watch more mature Streamers. And even those who I watch because they are very, very good at the game they are playing would not scream and almost cry when they dislike a game...
So not sure if you really want the fanbase of those Streamers in DBD anyway. The community is already annoying and toxic enough.

I think it's naive to downplay the amount of publicity big-name content creators can bring to a game. In positive or negative.
The new player experience in dbd is terrible. The business model is based on revolving doors. Bring in fresh customers with new licenses. They play the game for a few hours and they never touch it again. Rinse'n'repeat.
Player retention is not a concern the devs seem to have. Proof being that the game has fundamental problems that stay sometimes for years before being addressed and maybe not even solved and then just swept under the rug and forgotten.
Yeah, but a fan-organized tournament with a few clowns who never played DBD before and would have never played it without this tournament is not really a good argument at all.
Tournament-DBD has nothing to do with the DBD you experience in public games. And DBD is not really a game for tournaments, you can have tournaments in so many games, but not DBD. Let alone that they apparently even added rules which are not even in regular DBD-torunaments (like banning camping).
So this is really a big stretch.
-
Easy solution:
Some players just like to be dicks. There does not have to be any reason for it. Yet the Forums are always there to make up some reasons if a Killer is doing something which is considered BM.

"Edit: If I'm an avid follower of Shroud, a Guy who rekts at competitive scenes in any shooter and I saw how bad his experience is at the game, I sure ain't trying DBD."
Yeah, but you cannot compare games which can actually have a competitive scene with DBD. DBD-Tournaments are a Joke and have ever been a Joke.

So, random dude who gets his money by screaming into a screen is uninstalling? And has never played DBD before? And would have never done it anyway?
Big oof.
-
Are you really comparing a tournament with a significant pricepool to the regular DBD-experience?
Obviously the players are more stressed and less likely to have fun with such a high pricepool involved. Let alone that DBD Is still no tournament-game.
-
Was this a tournament organized by BHVR?
Usually the tournaments are run by some private people (Streamers or something like that) who make up their rules. Obviously DBD is no tournament game and the tournament-scene is pretty laughable.
That there was a huge pricepool indicates that it was probably not organized by BHVR.

The survivor did get outplayed, they get greedy at loops and take stupid risks because they know damn well that if they do screw up, their screw up can get fixed by the single press of a button.
They get greedy at Loops BECAUSE they have Dead Hard. They did NOT get greedy and negated their mistake. They did NOT screw up. A good Survivor with DH does not make a mistake, they do the extra Loop because they know they can get away with it.

I completely disagree with that sentiment. In fact, I think its what makes legion a bit more interesting than others as a surv, you dont just hold M1 at a gen, you need to mend then consider undetectable, then go back to the gen, NOW track if he got the 4th hit, depending on your situation you might not want to insantly mend, ...
I like it.
Take it with a grain of salt, i primarily play killer so im always looking for tension instead of chill. I agree with one thing though, slowdown perks shouldnt be as oppressive as they are right now.
Pressing M1 on the Gen at least progresses the game.

If you talk about the stuff you learn in School, this is not really "Math". At least I dont need any complicate functions in my daily life.

There would be 0 reason in using it over something like We Will Make It, which grants faster heal compared to CoH AND does not need any Setup Time.

Just some comments on some points:
"Why do survivor map offerings always cancel out killer offerings? Lost five RPD badges at trying to get the map because I was running Nemesis."
This is not the case. If both Survivor and Killer use an Offering, it is a 50/50 which Map will be picked. You just got unlucky. But IMO if an Offering is not used, it should not be burned. But this should not be visible in the Offering Screen so that the person whose Offering will not be used cannot just quit out.
"More gay people are angry with BHVR for suddenly announcing a long-known straight character is gay. Straight people, not bothered because Dead Hard sucks. So good job there, guys. Just make a brand new character..."
No Character was "long-known straight". The Characters were basically nothing, you could assume that they were straight or you could assume that they were gay or just think of what you liked the most.
"Why are hackers still a thing when you quite literally have to record the hack, send it to BHVR and report the player(s). So both the developers don't work and neither does EAC."
You will ALWAYS have Cheaters or Hackers in every game. The best Anti-Cheat will not prevent it. Hackers and Cheaters are banned in Waves, so it might be possible that one Cheater will be active for a few days before they get banned.
Also, BHVR just recently banned a huge amount of Cheaters. However, if those Cheaters manage to avoid the new methods against Cheating, they can cheat again. This is just how this works, Devs put in something against Cheating, Cheaters find a way to get around and Devs will fix this at some point, so the Cheaters will search for a new gap.

Nah, that is a cheap excuse just to try to empower looping as a game mechanic. You can get one free loop. If a Killer wants to use a breakable wall to cut that short, he should be able to.
If you nerf Looping, you will just create more holding W. Because if Survivors cannot Loop, they just have to run in a straight line, because nothing else can be done.
And as I said, I think every Killer player should be able to play Shack. This is pretty much the Basics that should be learned. Shack is a strong, but fair tile.

For some reason BHVR has a habit of nerfing Weak or non meta perks over stupidly Strong and meta perks
IMO this is not on purpose, this is just collateral damage, because the Devs dont know which Perks are actually in the game. Sure they know DH, BT, DS and every other Meta-Perk, but some other Perks are so forgetful. And we have so many of those.
But yeah, they should come up with something for Solidarity and Resurgence. I never see Solidarity but sometimes (but very rarely) I see Resurgence and the Perk just got nerfed without any compensation due to the Hemorrhage-Change.
-

I don't think it's necessarily a strength issue people are having. It's more of a "holy **** I'm mending for the 5th time in less than 5 minutes and I want to move on" type thing.
Yes, this is what made Legion dumb to go against since the Beginning. And this did not change after they nerfed them and this did not change after their recent Buff.
My issue with this Mending-Simulator is that it really prolongs games to make them tiresome if the Legion is also running 3+ Slowdown-Perks.

Killers were able to play Shack way before Dead Dawg was released. If you are not able to play Shack, you should improve instead of relying on a cheap Wall-Break to make it easy for you.
