  • Hillbilly does not need a Buff. He is still a strong Killer, even tho he needs more practice than other Killers which were released after him (including Nurse).

He can get some QoL-Improvements, but thats it.

Also, regarding "one of the most balanced Killers"... He was already called that back in 2017, where Killers REALLY struggled. And it got only easier for them, so at some point, "one of the most balanced Killers" is not "one of teh most balanced Killers" anymore.

They're definetely different with pinhead I never get hits throught pallets and it's very hard to hit spinning survivors. But however with wraith is easy to get hits through pallets and easy to hit spinning survivors. The difference is like night and day it's not just animation.

Nah, it is 100% the animation. If you notice any difference between Pinhead and Wraith, you probably have some problems with Pinheads quite unique weapon.

I dont even mean this in a bad way, I had some problems with Plague when she was released, because she also has quite a unique weapon.

  • It is on the internet, it must be true...

  • btw. here is a (bad) Screenshot of this Charm, when I went against a Killer-Bot, who had this Charm, the Fog Whisperer and the Twitch-Charm. He somehow did not manage to kill me and was just standing there.

I suspect that's the Developer Charm that is given to BHVR Staff members only.

    Can I have one?

  • I think Vittorio will be very popular. As for the Knight - I dont really know. Depends if and what they have changed from PTB, if he is roughly the same, he will not be very popular, because he will be quite boring to play.

If he has more focus on his patrol and way less on his Anti-Loop, he might be more popular. But in the end, we have so many Killers in the game, you will see almost all of them on a less than regular basis.

  • Not reportable. Dont waste the time of the Support-people just because you are unhappy with certain things.

It's a pretty common perk in matches where 3 and 4 survivors got out, like Prove Thyself.

    Almost never see it.

  • @Lost_Boy said:

Freddy always felt like he could hit from further away to me.

Because he is small and has a small weapon-model compared to other Killers (since he is basically only using his Fingertips and not a Machete or something similar).

  • It should have been either of those, but not both Nerfs. Personally, I would gladly take Iron Will which makes Exhausted but 100% silent while Injured than anything else.

Basically the reduction already killed the Perk, everything else was overkill.

Well, it's on you if you didn't have fun in that game. 2k BP? Were you hiding in the corner the entire game? Oh no, you died. Who cares? Move on to the next one.

Nah, I did a Gen. It is not like it takes much to get to Tier 3 with a Tombstone Piece.

  • @Hunkulese said:

You died to it once and got salty. You won't see it again for months if you play every day. It's fine and fun to see when you see it.

" It's fine and fun to see when you see it."

Yep, was totally fun to see the Tombstone Piece when Myers did not see me the whole game and I ended with 2k BPs. I did not even feed a single bit of Stalk to him and he downed the first Survivor normally, still I was out of the game immediatly.

Myers needs some Love, he is terrible outdated, they need to buff him and remove the Tombstone Piece and Unlimited Evil in the process.

  • I mean, I dont care about a Nerf to BNP, if they also remove a lot of Bloodweb-Clutter in the process. Since BNPs are the only good Toolbox-Add On left and Toolboxes itself are much weaker than they used to be. So if they nerf and/or remove the BNP, they should at least remove those Bloodwebs-Sinks as well.

But personally, I dont think it needs any Nerfs. BNPs are nothing compared to the stacked Slowdown-Builds you encounter as Survivor, if you go against someone with Eruption/CoB/Overcharge or similar stuff, the 25% of instant-progression are not really much compared to the Regressions you have to face.

And well, I cant really blame people for bringing strong stuff to get Gens done if stacked Slowdown is so oppressive as it is currently.

Last but not least, there is a Generator Completion-Archive in the recent Tome-Level, this might also be a reason for the increase.

Still gen perks, no matter how much you want to brush them off. Potential Energy is going to end the "unbeatable" 3-gen strategy.

    It will not be used.

But I know it is tradition to call a Survivor-Perk of a new Chapter broken.

It's obviously better to interrupt than to make them take longer to bless. Notice how nobody runs Thrill anymore. When boons are like a top issue, and ~1 minute blessing time being insignificant enough for not everyone to be using it, you can see how broken boons are and how TOTH should be changed back to showing notifs.

Nah, it is just because Killers have stronger Perks to run. This applies to TOTH with and without notification. You can just stack Slowdown and have an easier game instead of using perks like TOTH.

If Boons would be such a big issue, we would see Shattered Hope in every Killer-Build. This is not the case, because, again, other Perks are simply better.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Would help with countering boons, even if it does require a perk slot.

Current Thrill of the Hunt helps better with countering Boons. Hexes are rarely blessed and current TOTH has a longer penalty for Blessing and Cleansing compared to TOTH with the Notification.

And if they really want to bless the Hex-Totem, it takes even longer to do so. I would take up to a minute of them blessing TOTH for not getting a notification.

  • If you lose against SWFs you will most likely lose against the same players when they are Solo. Communication is not the main strength of SWF.

Dont blame your losses on SWFs and look where you can improve instead.

  • Thrill of the Hunt is not bugged, so they would not need to "fix" it. If you are asking if they buff it to give a notification again, nobody knows. I would guess not anytime soon, probably never.

And IMO it is better than before.

What's this about "killers shouldn't create dead zones for themselves"? The killer doesn't decide where the survivor runs off to, and neither can the killer choose where to hook the survivor, the wiggle timer is literally 15 secs.

If the Killer can reach a Scourge Hook so often, they can also reach a different Hook than the closest. Meaning, it is possible for Killers to go for a different Hook than the closest one. The only time I see an area without ANY Hooks is when the Killer hooked multiple people in the same area, which 100% can be avoided by not picking the closest Hook, but one more in the center of the Map.

The same way like Survivors are responsible for 3-Gens and Deadzones, Killers are responsible for Hook-Deadzones. If they dont want to use a few braincells to not create a Deadzone for themselves (again, they can totally be avoided), then it is up to them if they messed up.

  • I would not say it is weak. But Killers seem to think that it equals 4x4=16 vs. 1x4=4 Perks, while this is not true.

Also, the "It is a 4v1"-Argument seems to make Killers believe that this means that Survivors should fall like flies. However, but the 4v1 and the 1v1 aspect are important.

  • We dont do that here.

Hm, that kinda contradicts their previous statement that all cosmetics will be available later in the store?

but they also said that last years Halloween tome outfits were exclusive too iirc and this year they were available in the shop. So who knows.

    thx for the info though

    @Aven_Fallen

Progress beyond Tier 70 of the Archives and earn new Deep Rift Outfits, variations of new Outfits exclusive to The Rift.

I dont think that they said that last years Halloween-Outfits will be exclusive, but that they will appear in the store when it is appropiate, so earliest the following Halloween. It is new that they are now time-exclusive as well.

And thx for the Quote, I have not seen it in the article I have read. Personally, I dont mind it too much, since those Outfits from Tier 71 onwards are recolors. And I also wanted some things above Tier 70, since the Rift was done quite early for me most of the time.

do you have a source for that Deep Rift statement? Haven’t seen it or can’t remember it at all.

I said "seem to be gone for good". I dont know for sure. But no, there is nothing saying that they will be available or wont be available.

  • Time-limited so far means that they are available for a limited time on special occasions. E.g. the Halloween-Outfits which were time-limited this year will be available next year.

Deep Rift-Items seem to be gone for good after the Rift ends. But those are "only" Recolors.

  • Billy is still solid. You should not avoid M1ing too hard. Obviously, going for Chainsaws is most of the time the better way and more fun, but overcommitting to the Chainsaw will just bring you Overheat.

Personally, I run Engravings and the Junkyard Air Filter. This is basically my go-to Combo for Billy and it works. Also, I recommend Shadowborn on him. It makes the Chainsaw better to use in my opinion since the main thing which annoyed me was the FoV-Change. With Shadowborn you can negate that to an extend, which makes it more enjoyable to use the Chainsaw.

Nice way to start a discussion by lying, great way to kickstart that anything from you should be taken seriously. Probably just exaggerating everything if you exaggerate that ay.

And once again you're only talking about nurse as if people arent constantly DCing against killers who arent nurse and arent running 0 slowdown.

Kinda seems like you're picking and choosing what parts to focus on, balancing around entitlement and just want it your way.

If you nerf things because people DC then killers could also just DC of they dont like something and then survivors will get nerfed. Seems like a stupid idea doesnt it... or is it only okay for survivors to DC? Either way bad idea.

But you keep attacking people who think people rage quitting and ruining the game for others is a just cause for bans.

Maybe if we DC enough they will remove killer weapons... because you cant tell me killers like billy, wraith, myers, hag, doctor, huntress, slinger etc etc. Needs nerfs because I'm seeing people DC against them.

You know why killers use gen defense, because when survivors have half a brain and they all do gens the games over too fast, that's not fun neither and boring af for survivor.

Edit: if you take 30mins for 5 gens you shouldnt win jesus, if a game lasts that long it's on you and your team being terrible at efficiency

Again - you will not have any chance to remove DCs or Hook Suicides completely. This is not possible. But it is possible to lower this number. And this this always be the goal. You will always have players who just DC because they are found first, even when playing against an Add On-less Wraith. You cannot change that.

But there are some factors which need to be looked at. Yes, Slowdown-Perks can be useful. But you dont need 4 of them. Yes, strong Killers and Add Ons are fine. But you dont need Alchemist Ring on Blight or a broken Killer like Nurse to win games.

This is why I said that you should nerf and remove things on a reasonable basis. Not to remove everything because a Survivor has DCed because of it at some point in this games history.

  • @Adjatha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3257240#Comment_3257240

And if that worked, what's to stop killers from ragequitting when survivors bring identical skins, which gives them an unfair advantage by hiding identities? Or when they bring CoH, which is absurdly overpowered? Or when they all bring toolboxes or med-kits or flashlights or whatever?

Pretending that you know best and tanking the game for four other people because you'd rather ruin four other peoples' game instead of have to possibly interact with something you don't like is the behavior or a selfish child who doesn't want to get any better, they just want everything to be made around them.

And that kind of person deserves a month-long ban, to let them think about if they actually want to play DbD, or if they want to just be childish and self-important.

While I think that Medkits can be toned down a bit (but only if they remove useless Items from the Bloodweb as well...So much useless stuff in the Survivor-Bloodweb), I dont consider anything else you mentioned a problem. Heck, I even have the impression that CoH helps the Killer more than the Survivors, because I see so many Survivors wasting their time booning Totems across the Map while they can sit on a Gen instead.

But Killers are different, they can actually prepare in the Lobby. Perks like Franklins or Sloppy Butcher (against Medkits) exist. And from what I read, identical Survivors are more used as an invite to tunneling than anything else.

And well, a month-long ban would not help anybody. Except if you want DBD to die, because nobody who gets a month ban for DCing will come back playing.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3257240#Comment_3257240

So your solution is nerf everything because people are crying and rage quit? People are legit quitting against every killer regardless or perks and addons.

You're making up excuses and giving in to those entitled players. Seriously I see so many pointless DCs where it would of been a good game but one person had to go ruin it.

I'm not saying nurse couldn't use some changes but I'm not gonna act like people aren't rage quitting out of entitlement. Like seriously can be on giddeon against a basic attack killer and people rage quit...

Some people just really need to check their ego and entitlement or just stop playing.

You know, not everyone is a godlike player like you with around 120% escape rate in SoloQ. (Or something similar you have bragged about...)

But nope, there are some things which clearly need changes. Nurse is one of them. Stacked Slowdown another, because there is nothing fun nor skillful about stacking 4 Slowdown-Perks to let the game last 30 minutes so that you end up with a Map without Pallets.

This is the only real solution, to remove as many things as reasonable which make people DC. You will always have people who DC because they are found first, but the number can 100% be lowered if reasonable things get nerfed/removed.

Like, I have almost 8k hours in the game, this is more than many other players. And even I am tired of facing Nurse with stacked Slowdown, they are using the strongest thing in the game (Nurse) and prolong the game to such an extend that there is not really any chance for escaping. (Unless you are in a highly coordinated 4 man-SWF)

  • @TerraEsram said:

But BeHavior have the right of DBD

So, even it is a separate company who do the skin for DBD Mobile, Behavior can add them in the actual game, no?

The Mobile game can basically be seen as a different game. So even if both are called "Dead by Daylight", the Netease-Version should not be compared to the BHVR-Version IMO.

  • @Bran said:

All I can say is if the mobile game is one upping the actual company who made the game...then kinda speaks about your own company...

Yeah get some better skins even if ya gotta get em from mobile or whateverm

Yeah, I would totally love to have Gacha and similar things in the core game. Not everything on mobile is good.

  • Yep, something needs to be done. Like, removing the stuff that makes those people DC or give up? Sure, you will always have people who do that, but the number can be lowered if we adjust Nurse to a non-broken State, remove oppressive Add Ons like Alchemist Ring and stuff like that and remove the ability to stack 500 Slowdown-Perks to let the game last 1 hours so that basically every Killer can win.

But sadly I know exactly that an actual solution was not meant, just "bruh, I want free BPs, ban those players!".

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I'm sure more people would play her if she got more cosmetics. And also make her perks better. (They definitely need a buff)

This is like a chicken-egg-thing. If Survivors have many Cosmetics, they are played more often. If Survivors are played often, they get more Cosmetics.

But in the end, BHVR is a company and companies like to make money. It is easier to make Money with Cosmetics for Meg, Dwight, Claudette, Nea, Kate, Felix and other popular Survivors and harder to make money with Cosmetics for Adam or Haddie. And I think, because of that, we wont see that many Cosmetics for the less popular Survivors.

Within this community there is. People complain about Trapper because "I don't want to look at the ground the whole game." as if that's all there is to do, and so they call that unfun because they go down to it, therefore "it's OP" without them directly saying it is.

Wesker like any other fast killer gets complained about mostly because he's fast, even though he has an abysmal start-up on his ability. You might love going against him, but most say he needs to be nerfed, especially when it comes to getting max infected, where they want the Hindered or the instadown taken away. Why would they demand such a change if they didn't think it was unfun and OP?

My man just implied that people call Trapper OP. I have seen everything.

  • @LiveBritishReaction said:

“To me, calling a killer anti-fun or miserable to face is just a facade to say that they're overpowered.”

That’s not true in the slightest. There are several killers who are weak but not fun to face because of bad power design or an unfun playstyle being encouraged, and there are strong killers who are fun to face because their power doesn’t feel cheap or gimmicky. Viability and quality of gameplay are two completely separate things.

    ^ this.

Like, I dislike to go against Clown, Legion or Trapper. All of them on the weaker side, with Trapper probably the worst Killer in the game. I also dislike to go against Myers, just because it feels cheap to not see him all game and be insta-downed when you run into him, because someone else was feeding him Evil.

Meanwhile, I dont mind going against stronger Killers like Billy, Blight (without Alchemist Ring tho) or Wesker, all fun to verse. Sure, there are Killers with bad design and strong (e.g. Hag), but strong/OP does not equal unfun.

    @Topic:

I really hope they nerf his Anti-Loop and improve his Patrols. Because the way he is intended to play is quite weak, while the Anti-Loop is strong, similar to Artist. And I would really prefer if we dont get Artist 2.0, but he has his own unique power with the Patrols which are actually viable.

  • @HugTheHag said:

That makes sense ! I think the point is that when reading the challenge, one might spontaneously misunderstand and think you need to escape as well. That's definitely what I thought when reading it !

So it is a bit fun seeing that they died but the challenge saying "survive" was still completed. =)

    @MrDardon said:

I've actually never interpreted "survive" as "remain in the Trial" while the others escape but rather "survive" as "escape as well" while the others escape.

If that's the case, that's poor wording once again.

Yeah, it is "survive while". So you just have to be alive while others are escaping.

    @DragonMasterDarren said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3256906#Comment_3256906

ohhhhh so that's what happened, i thought you had to also escape after 2 other survivors escape, I thought it bugged lol

Honestly, I dont mind those challenges. But they would be a real pain if you would have to survive yourself. Because not only do you have to hope that others escape earlier, but you would make it out yourself. I am glad that it is not working like that.

  • And what exactly is the point of this Thread? You dont have to survive the Trial yourself, you just have to be alive while others are escaping. So you can be struggling on the Hook in second Stage while your team abandons you, you will still get the Challenge.

Or am I missing something completely?

  • Boons should not be compared to Hexes. Their only similarity is that they are shiny Totems, otherwise, they are different mechanics and it makes 0 sense to compare them.

  • Gen-Rushing Perks? Potential Energy makes Gens take slower. And with the quality of the average Survivor, you will see Survivors who use this Perk, store their Gen-Progress and lose it right after that...

And while Quick Gambit increases the Genspeed if you are near Generators being repaired, it will always be more beneficial to just go where no Generators/only completed Generators are. The Perk is not really good.

    I'm not being ridiculous.

Standing in the game and using the chest as bait is playing the game. If the play is actively downing people for touching the chest, they are playing the game. They are still in control of their character and are still paying attention to what is going on in the match. AFK is when the player is away from the game and has zero interaction with it.

You're just projecting what you want the definition of "playing the game" towards killers who enjoy this.

Last post to you. Not "agree to disagree", because you are just wrong. But once again I forgot that in this Forum, Killers cannot do anything wrong...

It is not playing the game. Even if "AFK" means "away from keyboard", you cannot just say "Oh, they are at their keyboard, they are not afk". They are not playing the game by just standing still.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3255892#Comment_3255892

He’s not AFK if he’s actively defending the chest and hooking people. You may not like it and that’s fine, but he’s still playing the game.

Standing in the Basement is not playing the game. Dont be ridiculous.

  • Maybe they dont want to waste time and actually want to play a game which is not against an AFK-Killer. Nothing else is "Chest Defender Bubba".

  • I mean, there is nothing coming in early December anyway. The Chapter should be around the 22nd, if they keep their regular Schedule. The only Patches in early December would be Bugfixes after the Chapter-Release and during Bugfixes are usually no big changes.

Let alone that this is just some random guy posting something.

  • No.

This is a Multiplayer-game. Having people who constantly only play against Bots is not the right way to do.

I also dont think they should implement Killer-Bots. The effort is way more than the actual benefit and not worth it.

  • This game is on a good way if this is the stuff people complain about.

And every year the same... You wont see the Blight-Serum in a week anymore.

  • The only Slowdown I run is Corrupt Intervention on Trapper and Sloppy Butcher on some Killers. No need for more.

I have seen a list and if I am not mistaken, Dwight got more Cosmetics this year than Feng.

  • Man, I really hope that BHVR now starts to release a new Feng-Cosmetic for every other Cosmetic. Like, Nea gets a Cosmetic? Feng gets a similar one. Adam gets a cosmetic? Feng as well!

    New RE-Cosmetics? Feng has Cosplays.

Like, why all this Feng-Hate? She is not even getting the most Cosmetics. Dwight and Meg get at least around the same amount of Cosmetics, yet I have never seen someone complain about that. Even newish Characters like Felix get tons of Cosmetics.

They should just remove the negative pip entirely since the devs have said grades are just a reflection of time played and grades now have 0 to do with matchmaking. Should only have 0, +1, and +2 pips.

At some point they answered in a Japanase Q&A that they want to keep the Depip as something to reward Skill or something like that. But yeah, it is pointless to have Depips when Grades are just a reflection of playtime.

At the very, very least, no Depips should be given when someone DCs and escapes and 4Ks should never result in a Depip. (Even tho it is rare to 4K with a Depip, only possible if you kill all Survivors with Myers, but still)

But all the Killers are faster than the Survivors except for Nurse since her base speed is lower than Survivors.....but in regards to what they were saying about go play Artist....All Artists I have faced that did the place at loops etc lost horribly because that's not really her strength. When I faced those who can land those sniper shots then that's another story. Her sniping game is excellent but difficult to master.

"Her sniping game is excellent but difficult to master."

This is 100% true, but this is also not the point which is complained about when Artist is mentioned.

Also, yeah, all Killers are faster than Survivors (aside from Nurse), but it is just bad counterplay when the only thing you can do is Shift + W. This involves 0 Skill by either party and it is just boring and does not feel rewarding when you "win" the chase (because the Killer leaves) or when you "lose" the Chase (because the Killer is faster) as Survivor. Same for Killer, I dont feel excited if I catch a Survivor because I move faster than them.
