Roller coasters scare me because I’m afraid of heights.😂
I fear a lot of things.
well now you're speaking my language! I fear roller coasters too because they always leave me with a headache.
and also that final destination movie....
and I also fear a lot of things....this is why it's best to stay indoors and play video games. No traffic accidents or violent criminals or harmful UV rays...
worst fear here is sweaty swf.....also deadly but I think I can hack it.
-
Google it.
Rhinelander Wisconsin.
They hold a Hodag fest every year (to honor it, pay tribute, sacrifice virgins...but mostly to raise money for a small town)..kids go looking for it...It's like bigfoot...only WAY more scary.
But also much dumber...

Lemme tell you a story, me and my family went to a place where people scare you, halfway through I wanted to go home. I was on edge, not having fun and terrified. At the end my adrenaline kicked in and I started bolting because of a chainsaw, though I quickly realized what happened, it still wasn’t fun
I hate being scared basically.
nobody likes being ACTUALLY scared.
people like.fun scares , roller coasters, haunted houses...but it's safe.
Nobody actually likes being genuinely scared. We all like thrills...we all hate being scared.
Myself included. Good thing I am so manly and nothing scares me except for 4x P3 claudettes.
Goodbye underwear...you are no use to me now...
-
Nobody cares about Hodag, eh?
Probably because nobody knows what it is...
Until it's too late...
-
Poo poo
And/or pee pee
For real when I am GENUINELY scared.
If it's a jump scare like in a movie...probably just a mild fart. Possibly a shart.
I consider this a viable biological defense mechanism! Like a skunk!!!
-
When you think about it though, it actually makes sense.
People that play more often will likely spend money on this service...which makes sense when they use it more.
If you think of this game like a service, paying for this makes sense.

For newer killers:
Chasing = tunneling
You shouldn't have to chase a survivor if you are playing an A or S tier killer. Those killers are so OP that survivors stand no chance already, and if you chase (AKA: tunnel) them, then they REALLY stand no chance and they will not have fun.
You should stand at the edge of the map and if a survivor so desires, they may come to you for chase points.
Under NO circumstances should you chase them!
-
Even though it would be a survivor buff, I think it makes sense. Not sure about the bear traps though, it doesn't seem heavy enough.

Now I am curious: Which many maps favour killers?
I think it depends on the killer. Generally smaller and flatter is better lol but I love the indoor maps with T1 MM and doc.

I just remember the metal jaws and destroyed terrain. Too bad we'll never see that one in game, at least for a while. Sounds like an awesome killer.
I agree. I remember there was speculation at the time that he would be the new killer but I think it was Legion they introduced next, right?

I think the Crusher made an appearance in the Hallowed Blight Lore entries. Benedict Baker seems to have run into him.
Yes! I also remember this! Good catch!
-
Oh! There is also the Hodag from Rhinelander, WI (USA),.
For real...It's a thing...we used to have a cabin there and we would hunt for it in the woods as kids.
-
Haddonfield is the only one that I consistently do awful with (as killer)
All others can depend on rng and can be better or worse but Haddonfield is a crazy outlier. I never ever do well there unless I am playing absolute potato survivors or have like 2 dcs lol (and even then I'll get looped for days while the other one does gens).
Or maybe I just suck.

Just asking if people bought Control(if you don't know it look it up, it's pretty interesting) and the reason for why they bought it, what initially hooked them?
Oooooooh! Lol the game Control! No, I didn't buy it. I looked hard at it though but for some reason just never pulled the trigger and got it. It just didn't seem to hook me with the previews.

I would love to see their art design for a werewolf. I have a feeling it would look pretty badass.
I would love a great alien game and and I used to think the feel of this game wasn't right for it but over time I think their art team could pull it off.
A killer doll would be fun but I am not sure how something so short would work in first person, unless part of his powers was that he is always in third person view.
-
I bought it.
The whole thing.
-
Looks legit but even with these changes, probably still too OP. Need a movement speed penalty or something for the killer due to no-skill-one-shots being so easy to accomplish.
Also should take up two perk slots.
-
The forums are the real end game and the only red ranks that matter.

Obama. (USA)
He mutilated the health care system and raised insurance premiums for anyone with a job.
He should be in game. He can't actually harm survivors (which survivors will enjoy) but if you have over 100k BPs, he takes 10% and hands them over to the entity. To be lost in the fog.
Or to be fair, Donald Trump could be a killer. Neither killer would have any real powers (like any president). But Trump wouldn't distribute the BP's to unused accounts. He would distribute it to any account that has 999,999+ BP's...also essentially squandering it.

I tried trapper in beta and instantly hated this game. I didn't feel like the brutal killer I was supposed to be.
then I quit and tried again a few months after launch and did a little better
Then quit because some other game caught my attention then came back for some dlc or another.
It's all a blur after that.

I made dozens of game on PTB, on European servers, this time around and in previous PTB times dedicated servers were alive. To me, at the very least in the current PTB dedicated servers were very stable with a very good ping. Didn't have any problems at all.
That's why what the other guys said surprised me very much, especially since they didn't really bother to specify whats not good about them. Maybe those players have poor connection.
In fact, the dedicated servers experience I've had was amazing and ten times better than how the current system works.
My body is ready for dedicated servers in 3.9.2!
That was what I was hoping to hear. That sounds good but some of the other posts in this thread seem like there might still be issues.
Either way, I mostly play killer and have great IS (NA) so I usually have good games so I was a little skeptical with dedicated servers.
Then again, this is an online game so I suppose launch day for dedicated servers will have the same myriad of issues as every other online game in the history of the interweb.
-
If you are in low ranks, late game strategies can work really well. I play a 3 gen/NOED strategy with doc at low ranks and it does well but by higher ranks, NOED gets cleansed almost immediately if 2 or more survivors are around and if I am reaching late game, I have probably already lost.
Either perk can be strong it just depends on your playstyle. Both are worth running and if you're mostly playing in lower ranks, either will be helpful. My advice is to run them separately for a few matches and see which is more successful for your killer choice/playstyle.

Wait what?
I played many PTB games. Why dedicated servers are far from ready? I had a really good experience with them.
What exactly is not right about dedicated servers?
I am also curious about how dedicated servers are coming (well...not curious enough to actually download PTB). I was wondering about their stability?

As a matter of fact, your an alt too.
I finally read through this whole thread and it made me think...
Am I an alt account too? How would I know if I was?
I mean....I THOUGHT I exist, but how can I really know for sure?
and then another thought: if I am an alt account for LordGlint, what if LORDGLINT is an alt account for SOMEONE ELSE!?!?
What if we are ALL alt accounts!?!?

Ya always the same ones. You think people would get new material by now. I started sending this to people.
This great! Perhaps if we had more data on people that are butthurt, we could work on solutions to prevent future butthurt.
So much butthurt goes unreported though...

After years of my abusive relationships with the souls series. I rather enjoy the salt I get from survivors. My only regret is that they are very very uncreative. I get a lot more salt on PS4 then on PC oddly which I find amusing.
Yeah it's always the same comments isn't it. Cancer is obviously terrible but it's like the only thing they can think of.
And suicide, while also terrible, is so generic
Then again, the folks that type those things under the cover of internet anonymoty are probably cognitively very limited.

Instant downs really hurt the Chaser and Hunting categories anyway, and will in no way help killers rank up... which is weird because the chaser emblem specifically states: "The shorter the chase, the higher the points."
If you don't hit them twice though, you only get half of the points you would for finishing a chase. The reason for this is simple: Each successful hit counts as a won chase, and awards points towards the emblem. So equipping instant down add-on's is like saying you want half the points in both Chaser and Hunting categories, which not only slows down your ability to rank up, but also screws over your BP gain. This is the biggest problem right now with killers like Plague who can cut down survivors real quick, but aren't rewarded nearly enough for it. Honestly this could be fixed if the devs just made it so that when you down a survivor under the effect of Exposed or Broken, you get double the points for the chase. I Really wish they'd do that because right now, the only reasons anyone would use these are to either be toxic to survivors, or purposely de-rank. Same goes for Mori's which sacrifice survivors quickly, but actually hurt your ranking/BP progress.
I agree, they do not make you "good" killers since, according to the point system, you won't rank up or gain good BP, so bringing one in is less of a testament to skill and more of and admittance of your idiocy. Add in the fact that bringing any of these in will undoubtedly result in survivors DC'ing, and your point gain takes an even greater plunge. Of course, not everyone is after BP or ranking, so using these is tantamount to acknowledging you're a Toxic player.
Unfortunately this goes for playing killers with instant down abilities as well, and unless the devs apply the point fix I mentioned, they will always be the lowest progression earning killers in the game. Which is really sad since they're genuinely fun killers to play and oppose, and just because you use one doesn't automatically make you toxic... survivors will just say you are.
That is pretty interesting!
So rank wise, instadowns actually make you WORSE?
So really, insta-downs need a buff!!!
-
It sounds like your problem is more with swf than moris.
-
No. You shouldn't be hooking the survivors either, and especially not hitting them.
It's ok to chase though but you have to let them run in circles and hit you with pallets
If you accidentally hook someone, you absolutely must run to the other end of the map and wait for that survivor to be safely unhooked.
By camping, you are exploiting a known bug and downright cheating. Shame on you. I am surprised you haven't been banned.
-
I wish we could pick our music for any killer. That way I could put Myers's on everyone.

Need is a strong word. I definitely wouldn't be against a common add-on that adds one, but the sooner you can learn to play without one the better. I can let the team know, but I can't guarantee it would be any time soon (if ever). We're a little bit booked up with the Nurse add-on changes at the moment.
I need a cross hair on nurse more than huntress anyway...
Nurse crosshair confirmed!

I just remember THIS scene from the movie
Great, scary games.
ok movie....
but that scene always stuck with me! There were a few in that movie that were really good.
-
I hate huntress. One of my worst killers. That said...
Please do not give her a crosshair. It would obliterate any skill with her.
-
Depends how I feels...
LF if I am in a camping mood. I do it, 4k and read post game salt...so fun!
Nurse if I want to test my fast twitch and fine motor skills...Then throw my computer through the window for when I miss and she stares at her feet like an idiot.
Doc if I want to piss off survivors or if I am at low levels..easy 4 k and easy DC's.
MM if I just want to have fun. Might 4 k, might 0k, but either way I have fun.
Billy or huntress if their dailies pop. Hate them both and their dirty feet (kick a pallet, you'll see)
Wraith if I want to at first feel like a horror movie monster and then quickly be beaten down and looped. I play him if I am having a really bad day as a way of saying "hey, today might seriously blow, but at least you aren't wraith". Perspective I guess.
Freddy if I just watched a Freddy movie.
Spirit of im not drinking and feel like actually trying.... And listening, which requires either my headphones or me to pop into our surround sound. But if wife is watching some dumbass show on Netflix then headphones it is!I
Debating getting plague. She sounds fun.

Maybe..though winking emojis require context
Not really.
"Get cancer and die!" . ...;)
"Great camp"..... ;)
" die baby killer".... ;)
"I hope your family dies, n****r"...;) (Btw, I'm not black but I'm not the one who said it)
" F***ING baby killer I hope you die f****t"... ;) (which would be doubly offensive if I were gay, but I'm not so it's just ignorant)
Tell me none of that deserves a wink. Id blow them a kiss (thats what I do when people road rage me) but I'm not that fancy with emojis post game.

If post game chat were limited to emojis there'd be less salt.

Lol depends which map, which killer...
Swf?
Perks?
Loaded question. Answer would have to account for nearly every combination.
Tl;dr and the only reasonable response to OP question: it depends

Tbh, the blood web needs a revamp.
In the mean time it would be great to destroy items for even a 10th of their bw cost.

If "punished severely" is all that you think matter, how about matchmaking always lvl 15-20 killers with swf lvl 1 survs and they don't pip? Is a punish too
Yeah the matchmaking is borked about this thread isn't about that.
Then again, I would rather play against a ridiculously matched group than wait for 30mins. It's an entirely different problem/discussion for an entirely different thread I think.

Yeah... In a sense its only for the person on the Hook, but if you think about it, it taxes a Face camper wasting time on thirsting for a Kill.
If 4 Survivors stack this in rank 20, the Killer would never win. Which is good, they should take routes outside their comfort zone, and improve upon them.
Camping isn't the end all way to Kill someone or get back at someone you hate, its more satisfying to destroy their team and break their spirits :)
I agree with most of what you said but a lot of folks are forgetting that if this is being stacked, it means survivors are pushing the hook, negating any time penalty since no gens are being done. All it results in is a longer camp. And if I'm camping through all this, the time penalty is a non-issue.
Now if it's coordinated swf tripping it, the killer is most likely gonna get hosed anyway so better off to camp.down the one and take the 1k. You can't camp against swf and expect more than 1k. And im your camping to get a last minute hook, then I'm already beat, again making the time penalty negligible.
I really don't think this is a very good anti-aging perk. I think it will serve a better purpose against non camping killers to grab that last minute save.
-
It's great for jumpscare myers. VERY fun but I have never 4kd
Terrible for T3 Myers Against red rank survivors who will dodge los.
Mediocre for mid range; I have 4kd and 0kd there in mid ranks.
Amazing for doctor with TR build.
-
I run it for bps.
I don't run it if I want to win against high ranks. Too many other good perks, depending on killer.
For some reason, I always run it on cannibal, but he's not my strongest killer (by far).
-

Solid list! 1% movement speed might be a little bit powerful though. 0.5% sounds better.
I also believe that if the Demogorgon is traveling to a portal while the survivor is cleansing it he should get trapped and instantly die.
Whoa whoa whoa hold on there, survivor main! If he instantly dies then killer has no chance. Clearly you are a salty survivor main looking for instant win!
He should be placed in a "phase" state where he can't see survivors (or their auras) or bloodstains, scratch marks or hear footsteps for 120 sec. Also cannot move or attack.
After 120 sec, if no gens have been repaired, he returns to normal, but each gen repaired adds 34 seconds to phase state.
There. Balanced killer.
-
@FireHazard said:
It just taxes facecampers imo, in "high level play" the perk isn't actually an issue.
You'll still die on 3 hooks, it really doesn't matter if you die earlier from the timer, its just a bonus at that point.
Which doesn't actually tax facecampers, but taxes the one on the hook, as you already stated

If I have 4 survivors when NOED pops I played wrong
But if it helps.me get that last survivor (or even better: the last two because the second one insists on rescuing after gates pop), then survivors played wrong.
Sounds like a solid risk/reward.
(In red ranks it's bigger risk...I almost never take it because it is cleansed in a blink)
-
These changes look good.
