Huntress, Oni, Demogorgon, Doctor. Every other Killer has issues one way or another.

i started rotating the stick in a circular motion.. may not be as fast, but how many times you really wiggle out
pressing A for struggle has ruined my A button though
I do that too, but that still grinds the stick part of the joystick. That's why I have indented rings around them.
-
It might have been something else by default, I don't remember. I do remember that, because I had to press it so often, DBD caused the right bumper to literally come out of the controller.

@Hoodied said:
Oh god how much I agree with the hook struggle and wiggle.
I've replaced a good 3 controllers due to wiggling
1 drift, 1 literally could not turn to the right anymore, and the other the controller if I turned my camera too fast it would aim towards the ceiling
On all three of my current controllers, there is an actual indented ring around the right joystick. Also, for my first 500 hours or so, I never changed the struggle button from whatever it was (Right bumper I think) and it literally came out of the controller.

We have one more mid-chapter left in the current roadmap, which will be some time in late April or maaaybe early early May.
After that, they'll do their anniversary stream in probably around the first week of June, and show the new roadmap.
-
Inner Strength is an extremely strong perk. It ignores any heal slowdown, and heals twice as fast as a normal heal anyway. The only thing that limits it is totems (5 totems, 5 heals).

Anything that is automated or recurring (Shrine, rank reset, etc.) is based on UTC, so they will shift an hour depending on daylight savings. Anything that is manually scheduled, like Tome level releases, are typically based on Eastern time and adjust according to daylight savings.
If you're ever unsure, feel free to ask. We'll try to get you the answer.
Very cool, thank you peanits!
-
@Peanits said:
It should still launch at 11 AM Eastern, but depending on whether or not your local timezone follows daylight savings, that may be an hour later for you.
Does the internal DbD clock (for Shrine reset, daily reset, updates, etc) follow daylight savings?
-
Also, the Killer pick up animation takes 3.0 seconds, so you need to start the flashlight blind just about 2.0 seconds after the Killer picks up a Survivor.
-
Flashlights take 1.0 seconds to perform a blind, and have an effective range of 14 meters, which is nearly a full tile.
To perform a blind, you just need the beam to be hitting the Killer's head and it must be within their FOV.

Yeah understand that but for me his appearance is very underwhelming that and his harpoon is very similar to Roadhog. :)
He looks like old Revolver Ocelot from Metal Gear and he's a cowboy, some of my favorite things. Plus, way back when I did play Overwatch, I mained both Roadhog and McCree. This Killer is a dream come true.
-
I, for one, love this Killer's design.
It's a COWBOY with a HARPOON GUN. That is all I could ever ask for from a game.
His power is a little weak though, yeah.

That is true. Its just frustrating at times
I agree. PS4's had the short end of the stick sometimes though. They didn't get the SAW chapter or Bill for several days after Xbox got them. I think there was also an update that they didn't get for a week or so, after Xbox and PC got it.

I hope its soon. Its a joke how xbox seems to always get the short end of the stick when it comes to updates
Eh, I think it might be mostly Xbox's fault because of the way that they handle update verifications. Just a guess though, it could be BHVR being slow.
-
They haven;t said anything, as far as I know. It could be days, it could be months.
-
Yeah, I agree. The highlights of my entire time playing DbD are the games I had during the Hallowed Blight event.
-
That website is pretty much false. Don't base any of your opinions on anything you see on there.

Hawkins actually does have orientation (Still an awful map though)
problem maps: Mount Ormond, Hawkins, Haddonfield, Grim Pantry, Pale Rose, Crotus Prenn Asylum, The Game, Temple of Purgation, Mother's Dwelling, all the Coldwind maps, and all the Springwood maps.
Grim Pantry and Pale Rose - Way too big, and literally no pallets. Unfair to both sides, depending on circumstance.
Mount Ormond - Insanely big, a million pallets and windows, and it all connects together. Unfair to Killer.
Hawkins - Although it might seem Killer sided, there are so many pallets on this map. SO many. Only good for stealth Killers, otherwise unfair to the rest.
Haddonfield - The classic. It's big, it's got tons of pallets and windows, and they all connect together. Unfair to Killer.
Crotus Prenn Asylum - Along with the main building being chalk full of safe pallets and a couple god windows, the map is HUGE, AND there are still more really good pallets around the map. Unfair to Killer.
The Game - Tiny, extremely hard to navigate, and very little pallets. The pallets however, are completely safe. Unfair to both sides, depending on circumstance.
Temple of Purgation & Mother's Dwelling - Biggest maps in the game. Tons of good pallets. Unfair to Killer.
Coldwind Farm maps - Way too big, corn is BS, tons of safe or really good pallets & windows. Unfair to Killer.
Springwood - Can generate with the most pallets you have ever seen, or can generate with completely nothing. Unfair to both sides, depending on circumstance.
-
They are technically ahead of schedule by about two and a half weeks. Last year, Plague was released March 19th.
They delayed Plague's update by 2 weeks anyway, for whatever reason. A one week delay isn't so bad to polish up Deathslinger.
-
Your whole "multiple lives" thing is completely countered by a slugging killer.
-
I don't think that's the problem. As far as I know, there are currently the same amount of red rank killers as there always have been. The issue is that there are a ton more red rank survivors. Even if they aren't, the game will consider them as such for the purposes of matchmaking if they play in SWF with a red rank survivor.

You missed this part: "We make opportune changes to reduce the gap when they arise" :D
Yeah but those are very few and far in between. They're nice changes, yes, but what was the last one before the Kindred buff?

The DLC team is not the team that deals with game changes, so that's not what's happening.
We make opportune changes to reduce the gap when they arise, such as the Kindred buff. But the main thing we do is ask ourselves when putting in new stuff, "Does this widen the gap?" If it does, it won't go in unless there's some great benefit that outweighs that cost. So a lot of our work on this subject goes unnoticed because it's happening behind the scenes.
Well, that's not closing the gap though. That's just stopping the gap from getting any bigger than it is.

Dedicated Servers were pretty much like banning me. It was entirely unplayable for me as killer (delay on my chainsaw) and survivor. Survivor was a complete joke. Killers (visually) started their lunge from the middle of jungle gyms and it connected even though I hugged the corner and stood next to the locker outside the jungle gym when my character would suddenly scream and be injured.
I immediately stopped playing after a couple killer and survivor games. If they had not disabled the servers I would have uninstalled the game after 4000 hours.
That's how bad they were for me.
I did not experience any of that. Dedicated servers made the game run much better on both sides, with the occasional dedicated hit (But that's on all platforms).
It's much better with servers than without.

I didn't have high Ping... Not even once, the Servers were amazing for me, but I think most people complained about them
Yeah. Exactly. Didn't hear anyone say they had high ping matches when they were on. Then, however many weeks ago now, they disabled the servers. Yeehaw!

I literally just linked something that shows patch notes for Oni, the most recent killer, were released a day early... what makes you think tomorrow?
Pretty sure the patchnotes were leaked, not released a day early, if even.
-
They haven't been acting any different than usual. Expect the update tomorrow, around 11:00 AM, EST.
-
Yeah, really confused on that part. None of his add-ons have anything to explain it, and that's all there was in the story. Maybe the devs forgot to put in the part about his leg?
-
YOOOOOOO
WE GOIN STRAAAAAAAIIIIIIIGHT TO
THE WIIIIIIIIIIIIIILD WEST

God bless the devs over at BHVR that gave us a wild west killer

@UkilledLegion said:
@AntiJelly its not red dead redemption
Yeah? The new map is named "Saloon" in the code, the Killer's in-game name is "The Gunslinger", and based on yesterday's Survivor leak (The last couple of lines of her lore) she stumbles into the same place that this outlaw was held.
-
The PTB should drop within 1 hour and 2 minutes from right now.
-
The new Killer is a cowboy outlaw named "The Gunslinger".
-
@UkilledLegion said:
please devs I hope its pinhead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has been confirmed by a leak on their website that it is not Pinhead.
-
It's The Gunslinger

It looks like a native american language, have you tried consulting someone that speaks navajo or some related language?
I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with an existing language.

yes, those ones. I've looked at the weapon markings, I've looked at the marking in the Groaning Storehouse, I've tried different ciphers and whatnot. There aren't any coherent clues.

@AAAAA said:
What are you talking about?
says right there, entity speak
-
I think you're confusing asymmetrical balance with bias.
I will say however, their "hit dressing" system is garbage. On Xbox, I've had times where a Survivor can run back and forth on the same axis in front of me, and if they do it fast enough, "hit dressing" will freak out and just flick my camera back and forth while also denying me the hit. This can go on for an entire chase and cost me the game.
I think it's a combo of the hit dressing, latency, and bad console frames.
Entire games costed just from a stupid mechanic that doesn't work properly.

Please don't rework Myers too much.
I love facing current version of Myers especially forever tier 1 Myers -> He know where you were, you can run but you cant hide.
I imagine if when Myers did get touched up, he wouldn't be reworked that much. They would probably just do an add-on pass for him and that'd be it.
-
Legion got a fix, not a rework. I wouldn't even call it an add-on pass. He's still terrible and also pretty much the same.
Spirit got a change to about 3 or 4 of her add-ons, and a small change to her power. Again, fixes, not reworks or add-on pass.
-
+1, it's been multiple weeks since PS4 got servers, and the only thing we got was a discord message that said "Xbox Servers Soon"(TM).
-
minimum time for a PTB to be released will be by next Tuesday. Expect something then, as they haven't said anything about a delay.

I absolutely agree, Oni may be the best killer they released yet, which is why he's my new fave. He's not perfect though, and I really wish they would change Iridescent Family Crest. It's really disappointing for an ultra rare.
I guess so. Oni does have a lot of "meh" add-ons. Specifically his ultra rares, passive recharge rate, and some of his blood orb commons and uncommons

@JacksonWise said:
I'm really happy the devs are slowly going back to the weaker killers and giving them the attention they deserve. At the same time though, I have to be a bit critical. Why go through the trouble of releasing killer add-ons that are mostly useless in the first place?
With some killers, it seems like many of their add-on effects are laughably bad or the modifiers are so minute they are hardly worth running. I know it's better for them to buff things that are too weak than nerf things that are too strong, but It's just creating more work for themselves in the long run.
I think it would be beneficial for them to consult fog whisperers (who play both sides) if the proposed add-ons for new killers will be good or not. I just want to see them get it right the first time without having to worry about spending time going back and reworking everything.
I mean, besides the whole flick debacle, they got Oni hands down perfect on the first try. 100% my favorite Killer to date.

Really sucks they are not doing to fix Demo's addons, so many of his iri and purple add ons are just useless compared to even his browns.
My word is not law, I'm just saying that they probably won't change those 2 Killers. Nothing big, anyways.
