It's pretty much just a straight buff. The only thing I can think of that's actually worse than before is holding your chainsaw for obscene amounts of time (a.k.a. facecamping with the chainsaw revved).
Yeah I that appreciate that half the video was showing him struggling to camp a Dwight in the basement :D

No one else seems to have noticed it yet, I'm waiting patiently

I realize I'm building off of what could be something entirely different, but...
I really like the idea of a "hidden information" Bubba. I think this could make him an extreme contrast to Billy, with Bubba being more about Survivors not knowing things, him having less of a terror radius, etc. I say this because many of the scenes in TCM greatly contrast the quiet/safety when suddenly Bubba bursts in with a chainsaw. I'm intrigued.
In fact, the whole "hidden information" or delayed info is something I've long wanted to see in DBD. A survivor hook that only reveals that other survivors were unhooked when they would have gone into next death state instead of when they're unhooked. A perk that causes completed gens to wait 5+ seconds to light up after completed.
That sounds cool. Now that undetectable and oblivious exist hopefully there'll be some good use of those as well.

Ah, crap. Can't blame this one on konami.

If he does we need to use every single Ebony Mori in every single game we can. We need to show them they can't hurt out Bubba.
Why does everyone always act like using ebony moris is something the devs object to?
-
You shouldn't be buying characters or chapters in PvP games with the expectation there won't be balance changes afterwards. If you think being able to see cages was the most fundamental part of PH's power idk what to say to that really.
-
@supersonic853 said:
This is like the one time ill agree since the mori specifically states "kill one survivor who has been HOOKED during the trial" also moring after a cage prevents bt from stalling alittle.
Even when they have a point they're unable to express it unless it forms part of a tribalistic rant

It's just statistically there is no need and the devs have put out data multiple times showing it's not. We've known, even before the EGC, which itself was a massive killer buff, the average kill rate per game was ~2.5. Even in red ranks. They're doing this because of meta killer whining that's not based on any data, nothing more.
EGC wasn't implemented to buff killers, it was put in because survivors refused to leave matches when they'd won.

I'm reacting to the video and the suggestion. Infinite tier 3 myers getting all his stalk up loves these ideas.
The suggestions are just that, and the video is just another suggestion, not anything connected to bvhr. I don't see them removing any ability to do gens and letting killers use their powers as much as they like at the same time. It's most likely something to mitigate survivors spawning separately and having multiple gens go off as the first survivor goes down for the first time, which would help slower/weaker killers and probably be good for the health of the game overall, but that's just my guess - we don't know what it is yet.
-
@fcc2014 said:
Yes more crutches for Killers... Killers that can snowball become stronger. Add in the egc and every killer should 4k each match. This discounts Moris and ultra addons which are frequently run. If this doesn't work everyone can start slugged?
We have no idea what it even is yet but no need for that to get in the way of a pointless tantrum ofc
-
Those two killers aren't even slightly alike. It's like saying oni is a worse trapper. And being able to see the cages wasn't the strongest part of his power at all, or even necessary. I don't get this hysteria at all.
-
@YaiPa said:
it's just the same tactic they used with Ash. They boosted the sales with a strong mechanic, just to nerf it weeks after. Classic BHVR.
Lol well if you bought PH because you just want to remove a survivor from the game quickly and without much difficulty then it's a pretty big nerf yeah. It won't make much difference otherwise.
-
Very good changes, also further down it mentions no longer being able to prevent rescues by just standing in front of the cage.

How is this fair that killers can easily bypass DS by slugging, and survivors are punished for trying to do any action?
As if you don't already run DS with unbreakable

I think Tier 1 Myers is immune to spine chill and premonition.
He used to be, they changed it so they do detect him now but they also removed his tier 1 terror radius completely. Which is a shame really bc scratched mirror just isn't the same if you're running spine chill.

@BigBrainMegMain said:
I think they did it because it was brought to their attention that hitting a survivor while hooked made them scream.
The "Make Survivors Scream 20 Times" Rift Challenge was achieved this way.
Lmao that never even crossed my mind
I just did a full scream build, doc with IF/iron maiden/make your choice - that gets it done in one match anyway
-
When I wanted to derank to do some adepts I really didn't want to do it by dcing or afking or anything like that, the way I did it also helped me get better at losing, i.e. less anxious about it.
You pick a killer that sucks or that you suck at - I went leatherface which fits both of those. No addons, no perks except BBQ, and a horrible map offering. Luckily although I play bubba I had a ton of haddonfield offerings on him.
And just focus on getting your BBQ stacks. Fully expect to lose, expect to get BM'ed, the certainty is kinda refreshing. If you somehow do well and the survivors brought 16 meta perks, even better.
Edit: I still think in your case taking a break would be better but if you didn't listen to your doc you probably won't to me
-
Do we really want to reduce the amount of perks survivors use even more? Nerf spine chill and the survivors that used it will just replace it with bt/ds etc etc
And if anyone gets to be salty at spine chill it should be me, first wraith game in a long time featured 3 spine chills (and one premonition, lmao)

I already stated how to counter this. And yes, survivors do go out of their way to bait the DS but either slug them and continue to chase the survivor you've already been in a chase with or ignore them until you've hooked the survivor.
Survivors, like myself, hate being slugged, but I know it's efficient. I also don't mind being slugged because that's the price I pay for bringing DS.
Killers at Red Ranks work around DS and they end up just destroying my teams (some times). Other times we get paired up with fresh Purple Ranks and well...it doesn't end well.
A killer who's pumped many hours into the game already knows the workarounds of DS.
You can tell on the forums who are the newbies from the oldies.
I wouldn't exactly say I'm new, been playing since curtain call and am devotion 7 split about 70/30 survivor/killer

Obviously you didn't read what I said.
That survivor would be out of place out of mind because you'd be going for someone else. Why is your concern THIS ONE SURVIVOR when there are 3 more in the trial?
Get my point? THIS ONE survivor isn't the only one in the trial. GO FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
See my point? YOUR concern is this ONE SURVIVOR, when my point is there are 3 more.
Stop giving me "but the survivor."
No, no, no.....your problem is that when this survivor is unhooked your vision tunnels to this one, only survivor making you think he/she is the only survivor in the trial, when in fact there are 3 more.
Am I wrong? Are there not 4 survivors in 1 trial?
Mate you're talking like survivors don't go out of their way to use their DS, that they don't often use the same characters and also dress the same, and that it's easy to remember who you've hooked when there's been a few hooks in quick succession - and yes you're doing well at that point obviously but a 5 second stun for doing well is still miserable.
I'm all for making it an actual anti-tunnelling perk. Make the skillcheck harder and the stun shorter the longer it goes on. A 59 second DS can be a tiny skillcheck with a 2 second stun. Picking up a survivor within 10 seconds of them being unhooked is a massive skillcheck and like a 10 second stun or something equally long + brutal.
-
I don't dislike two of the perks but addons suck and why is haemorrhage purple? Apart from the larger question of why are haemorrhage addons still a thing, all killer addons that apply it are yellow, with the exception of wraith's which is green and also applies mangled.
Edit: forgot Freddy's purple add-on which can cause bleeding in healthy survivors too, which is cool and still not useful.

The sceptical players are one thing, but I hate the people who think they stomped you in the match. I've got a "farming" legion build I've been using where I make 26,800bp in about ten minutes, and I let them do gens and escape. I get so many messages shittalking about how bad I am, GG EZ, and stuff like that. It makes me second guess why I do it and why I help asshoIe survivors actually make BP instead of slaughtering them.
Yeah I'm always confused when a survivor that was clearly allowed to escape starts gloating but being toxic and being thick pair nicely together anyway I guess

I used up my BPS on killer’s right out the gate, those games I was mostly just going for the crown and also letting survivors escape so they could earn their crowns too.
We didn’t “farm,” but I still think everyone got pretty good BP from those games it was a very chill couple days
Yeah some games with a lot of cakes etc i've been playing normally til they're all on death hook then just farming or messing around. Ofc the survivors are skeptical that I'm turning friendly halfway through a match so I usually have to catch them all again and let them go first.
-
I got quite a few. Been using the 3rd year gateaux and streamers mostly because I'm nice and want to share the BP. Although I have most of those on wraith which means playing lots of wraith.
-
I don't think he'll be reworked. Also konami have probably forbidden them from nerfing his powers into the ground for no reason, which is why they had to nerf his ass size instead.
-
Getting gen grabs is always nice, especially with non-stealth killers. Got one with doc yesterday, thanks to dank devotion.
-
Well they disconnected the disconnect penalty, that's kinda eventful?
-
Nah I wouldn't bother. It only affects them when awake, the lullaby like with huntress can't be altered
-
I don't use the term 'genrush' or complain about how quickly survivors want to do their main objective but if survivors do (separate) gens and do nothing but gens (no totems, no chests, no healing, unhooks yes but gens still prioritised) when not being chased the killer is kinda f'ed. And I'm saying this more as a survivor player than a killer one, I don't usually play like that bc it's boring as hell but I will if I have an escape challenge or there's a mori. Killer has to slug hard or lose. And you don't need to be a great survivor to do this (I'm not) if you can hold down a button and hit skillchecks you also have this power. Use it wisely (or don't)
-
You don't need to bother with the screenshots, we know. Red ranks get put with or against grey ranks, every day, they have for a long time now.
-
Yeah definitely. Tremors would probably be more popular than BBQ without the bloodpoint factor.

I dunno if fair is the right word, I guess at some point every killer has to decide how hard they're willing to go. Just know survivors don't tend to go easy ever and aren't likely to show much appreciation for it.
I.e. you get two survivors in the basement at the start of the match - you can probably win right there, or you can leave and let the team recover. If they recover well enough to win themselves your reward for being a nice killer will probably be them teabagging + vault spamming near the gates for as long as the EGC allows. If you go out of your way to not tunnel some survivors will notice and message you something nice but most messages will still be accusing you of tunnelling anyway.
If none of that bothers you, play as nice as you want, otherwise you might want to consider being ruthless.
-
Remember me
-
I run lithe or balanced sometimes, but I usually go without any of them.
-
If you think bond is bad, try empathy. Bond won't show you all the self care going on deep in the corner of the map
-
Anyone who runs DS/unbreakable and anyone who runs iri head huntress should always be matched against each other and keep it away from the rest of us - matchmaking doing an excellent job for once.
-
It has a use, i.e. pairing it with nemesis + myc to make the unhooker oblivious as well as exposed. The terror radius stuff is useless atm though, especially losing all stacks and not even getting them back if you get a new obsession.
-
Maybe because it was a wraith? Some experienced survivors seem to take being downed quickly by a low tier killer to be a personal insult.
-
You can tell how good a hag is by how many traps she places around a hook
1/10 - useless baby hag
10/10 all in a circle - extremely large-brained god hag
-
Plague I'd say. Black incense is the only one usually mentioned but both can be nutty, especially if iri seal is paired with a corrupt duration add-on
-
@DudeDelicious do you have any vids of you using trail of torment? Not doubting you, I'm just curious to see others use it in action

Nurse, Ghostface, Pig, Billy and any other killer -- those are killers fun play against. Yes, this is totally worth to play one to explore their weaknesses and strengths and also kill some survs with fun on both sides. I respect all those killer players.
Doctor is unfun to play against. There is no reason to play him. Since doctor players know what they do when they pick -- I don't respect those players. Playing doctor does not require much skill.
Well that's pretty subjective bc I like playing against doc and I despise ghostface.
-
Forced penance - actually like, protection hits are more generously awarded now which works in this perk's favour. Also the perk to finally complete the iron grasp/agitation/mad grit build
Deathbound - I also kinda like it but it's hard to know what to do with it. Like hex: retribution, you might come across a survivor who's oblivious which is nice but how do you take advantage of this directly?
Trail of torment - obligatory meme perk, made for streamers to try and figure out how to make it almost useful by creating an entire build around it, probably with mixed results.

When the amount of people playing is higher than usual and queue times are long for both roles at the same time, then the most likely cause is that the matchmaking servers simply cannot keep up with the high amount of inquiries (=high amount of people wanting to get into a lobby).
Does that mean crossplay will make things worse then?
-
Not taking aggro. 3 survivors on death hook & 1 survivor that hasn't been hooked means it's time to actually go interact with the killer yourself.
-
I like chapel, it's like crotus penn but much less stupid.
Family residence is bad, sanctum less bad, both awful with blendettes
