Good first post, unfortunately you can expect lots of responses like that one above ^^

Halo or leave
-
I don't know but you can't report for that stuff. Teabagging and clicky clicky is completely allowed, as is tunnelling, camping, letting survivors bleed out etc etc

'Killers.' As in all of us? :o
Iunno, that DS stun makes or breaks games a lot of times.
All killers are disgusting, evil people hired by bhvr to ruin the gen simulator experience for the oppressed survivor community. Also DS stun time should be increased to half an hour.
-
If this means I'm not going to be jerked towards the hooked survivor by the glorious aim dressing every time I try and hit the unhooker, great. Also I have a hard time believing anyone genuinely upset about not being able to smack survivors repeatedly on the hook is actually old enough to play this game.

"blendette can be dealt with" with the stuff that you just mentioned :\ i mean...
I still think they should change her default outfit to something else. And stop selling all-brown cosmetics for her, it's not like people buy those bc it looks good

Year 3 gateaux are fine it’s just the new ones that are bugged
Thanks! I'll stick to those for now then

I still have a load of year 3 gateaux, will they work?

Blendettes are annoying but can be dealt with.

The matchmaking is always like this rn, they're changing the system so it might be better soon. Hopefully. Can't really get much worse.
If you mean the 'ez' comment then yeah you'll find people who feel proud of themselves for escaping against a new player when they're high ranks with full perks. It suggests their lives probably aren't exactly overflowing with achievement though.

Piggu, easily. I can not play her for months at a time, then stick her on after getting stomped as other killers and it feels like I never stopped.

Heavy agree - The perk is broken. The only thing we had to stop the genrush was PGTW and Ebony Mori's, and now its completely broken. Especially when every game is a 4 man deathsquad swf all with beamyboys, there is no counterplay to flashlights. I cannot count how many mice I have broken due to walking up to the gen after a hook only for it to be blocked by YET ANOTHER second chance bull** perk.
The dlc barely came out, how many mice have you destroyed over this?
-
In my day swf teams ran four sprint bursts with an object of obsession, or 4 x DS/unbreakable/BT, and that was the way we liked it
-
It's a good and balanced perk, I'm happy seeing survivors bring something slightly different for once. Pop lasts a minute, you have 30 seconds where they can't interact the gen either, make use of your time.
-
Who gets to be scooby? Demogorgon?
-
A game I had earlier demonstrated one reason killers camp/tunnel. I was survivor (solo) and I think the others were also solo. Starting on different gens, we had 3 gens pop almost at the same time when the first guy went down. I was watching from the other side of the map with kindred so I could see pretty well what was going on. One survivor went to save and realised the killer was camping him, so started crouching nearby. Soon the other survivor turned up as well, and the pair of them soon started circling the hook trying to lure the killer away, unsuccessfully. Eventually the bad attempts at saving started.
In the meantime I did the other gens, 99ed a door and waited to see if the other survivor came to his senses, in case I needed to take a protection hit or something. Survivor #1, the first one hooked, was dead. #2 was getting the same treatment, and #3 was circling this hook as well. He went down and I left, instead of rewarding him further.
None of this works if you don't let it work. If hooking a survivor and then standing next to them causes the whole team to freak out, abandon all gens and start lining up to die, why would killers not do that?
-
Some of the "solutions" I've seen for swf are ridiculous (i.e. delete it completely) or would just make the game incredibly dull (slower gens, an additional gen) but they need to stop acting as though it doesn't make any difference at all. Like if someone wants to explain to me how a full team where someone has object of obsession isn't a balance issue I'm interested to hear it.
Inb4 "You want to punish people for playing with their friends!"

It's always been very tribal, since I started playing at least.

Probaly if you report them after the match, but then a lot of people will get negative effects of this systems when the other sides loses. Because the sore loser will report everyone with bad sportmanship when this is not the case
Yeah that'd probably be even worse. Most of the times I've been called toxic as a survivor involve lasting too long in a chase
-
How would a system automatically detect "toxicity" though? If I'm playing GF and decide to have a pointless but friendly teabag contest with a survivor midway through the match would we both get a red X?
-
I'm still yet to get good use out of it, and not taking it off til I do (I took it off once and instantly got a nurse who slugged us all with noed, ofc)

Probably because it's a broken killer? Not crying, i'm playing more Killer than Surv but in my opinion he deserved a Nerf. It's anti ds, anti bt, anti everything right now. The most boring Killer to face as Surv.
Some (losers) will probably say GIT GOOD but, unfortunately, there's nothing upper than red ranks right now.
And yes, i'm one of the players (i assume a lot) that likes to go full team and disconnect full team when we face piramid head. Nothing personal but if i can't use bt, ds, loop and i get tunnel 60% times to death it's a boring killer....... And yes, we will keep to disconnect until they dont nerf it. Good luck using Piramid Noob and enjoy every match 0 or -1 ^..^
You d/c against ph because he's too strong but you're also a spirit main right? You can't actually think he's stronger than her
-
Yeah I see a lot of this as solo survivor. Probably related, I also see a lot more noed.
-
Hey you aren't subpar, you're still learning and this game isn't very forgiving to newbies (including sticking them with red ranks)
Obviously you shouldn't be going against survivors much more experienced than you but based on your score you managed to do some damage to them.
There's a new matchmaking system coming soon, it might or might not fix this kind of thing - on the bright side it's hard to see how they could make it any worse
-
I'm similar, I play a few different survivors but Jake is the one who has every perk in case I have a specific build I want. None of my killers have every killer perk though, sadly.
-
DS/unbreakable combo is always gross to see.
I don't really mind the "second chance" perks otherwise but there should be more conditions involved in pulling them off considering the impact on the direction of the game they can have. Like mettle of man is great now, it takes effort and risk to get and a downside after regaining full health. Instead of press button to not die, hold button to not die, hit skillcheck to not die and obviously all ran together because there's no reason not to.

Well hidden but decent pallets. I've been running windows of opportunity to find the good stuff

M1 killers move at 4,6 m/s. Survivors run at 4 m/s. Sprint Burst makes survivors move at 6 m/s for 3 seconds. Now you do the math, assuming an initial distance of 18 m.
I'll assume you and OP did the maths correctly rather than embarrassing myself. I still only really see a balance issue if the maps looked more like race tracks
-
But it doesn't work like that? It doesn't take 75 seconds to down a baby meg running in a straight line at all.
-
Would it work to teleport the camped survivor to a different hook if the killer stayed within a certain distance for a certain amount of time with no other survivors around?
-
You can run all gen perks on Freddy to be really oppressive, pop is the nastiest buy discordance, surveillance, tremors, tinkerer etc are all better on him then they are on other killers. But he's strong enough that you can't really go wrong with any perk combo.

LARGELY GONE!!!! MY RAGE!?!
"Attach image, open all folder, (ok where is that picture of a horses dong I Googled earlier for situations like this....hmmm), select image, open attachment, insert message (YOU ARE HORSE DONG!), send!
That'll teach them to kill me in a game!!1
PS: Yeah I feel the requirements of sending messages via PS4 (and XBOX too I'd assume) often lead people to just calm down or not want to bother.
Especially if you're typing out like a whole essay, with references and so on.

For your first point you completely forget about killer shack and basement. Any Pyramid with above a 20IQ puts down rite at the window and both exit gates. All it takes is a small amount. This means you are being warned at any range when a survivor enters the killer shack for a hook save. You may not be able to do it a certain distant from gens, but there is no issue making a circle around a hook, thereby being able to tunnel and counteract any type of D-Strike by just sending them to the cage right off the ground.
The only perk that it counters in regards to killer is BBQ and Cheater. Which doesn't matter because you are getting a very nice tradeoff in the form of countering all survivor perks, not having to pick up the survivor, and potentially having them go to a distant place, away from gens - this is especially beneficial if you are doing a 3 gen strat.
Your third point, is all subjective. Like my point about it being harder to dodge. However, his attacks can go through any object, unlike death slinger. I don't even like to compare to death slinger since deathslinger is another smooth brained anti-chase killer that is extremely easy to play. He might not have extreme map pressure, but he can shut down any chase easily and is extremely effective around hooks and very powerful with 3 gen strats.
"BBQ and cheater"

I always just typed their username into my ps messages app on my phone and did it that way. Who has the time to type out death threats with a controller?

This is good, I think you missed the small building in the corner of the courtyard with two pallets though.

If you're going to hack you probably won't stop at just giving yourself cosmetics for one thing
-
Idk why but on ps4 the ones with "toxic" "sniper" "assassin" etc in their name seem pretty chill usually. I watch out for cutesy names like "muffinprincess" "fluffykitten95" or whatever, that's when you're getting a last second flashlight switch with a haddonfield offering.
-
Respect to you new killers sticking with it, If I was put against reds back when I started I'd probably just have given up then and there.

As Lisa I've noticed quite the few ebony moris combined with ultra rare add ons being used.
As Heather/Cheryl I haven't really noticed anything out of the ordinary.
Also talking about soul guard, has anyone managed to make some good use out of it?
I've managed to recover once when ruin was active. Never have managed to get the endurance hit though.
Not really, I haven't been slugged with a hex active, did manage to take a hit after getting up once. It might work better running it on a survivor that isn't Cheryl though.

PS4 has a bad problem with campers. The more they camp, the more they’re just hurting themselves by missing out on chase and hook points.
I agree there's a lot of campers but also a lot of survivors willing to reward them. Like I got facecamped by a bubba in the basement recently, chainsaw revving no insidious or anything, and I had kindred - and the other 3 survivors all came running down to interfere and ended up dying in there too. I dislike campers and I'm sick of survivors giving them a 4k for no reason because they all seem to lose whatever common sense they had once they realise someone's getting camped.

Can't you run through the doctor clone to get rid of restraint? What's restraint exactly and how does it override calm spirit.
It makes the doctor auras readable in madness tier 2 as well but it also shows survivor auras whenever they go up a tier

If you want Kindred, you can just use Kindred. It's a general perk, it doesn't require any DLC. That's what I do. Unfortunately, survivors still reward campers by, you guessed it, trying to unhook. So yes, it is absolutely survivors who reward camping, every single time.
The killer is standing still for two full minutes, so either the survivors are rewarding it for not making use of that time, or there's a third party in the trial that I'm not aware of.
They're "sacrificial stages", not "hook stages". They were called "hook stages" because hooks were once the only way to progress them. Now it's no longer the case. It's just a different way to achieve the same goal, like the Doctor's Shock Therapy and Static Blast. They both increase madness, but they work in fundamentally different ways.
The mori thing is a bug, plain and simple, either with the description or the inner workings. Bugs are not "proof" of favoritism. If that were so, I'd argue that the fact survivors (apparently) make zero noise is far worse.
Kindred is so good and yet when the others see I'm getting facecamped it seems to make them even more inclined to come over and try to unhook anyway or even better, crouch 10 metres away from me and the killer and squat there doing nothing for a minute or so.
-
You can get rank 20 killers as a red ranked survivor, why bother?
But yeah not keen on smurfs either.
