  • It's good advice, wish ps4 had that because a lot of players clearly need to hear it. Anti-camping measures that aren't perks are unlikely to be put in because survivors will instantly find a way to abuse them.

  • I almost always run restraint addons on doc. When I do occasionally get a calm spirit user they usually die quicker because they think I don't know where they are :)

Wouldn't say I'm upset. If I was being critical I'd say I was oversimplifying the argument. Having said that I'm not wrong either.

Would you exchange your positive 3 sec in exchange for adding a negative?

I wouldn't mind a trade-off usually except I'm not sure how many more penalities can be added to legion's power. Maybe a missed frenzy attack instantly powers the exit gates?

    That's good to know.

So since the metric of 2 escapes, 2 kills had been used to ever increase buffs to killers and nerfs to survivors, can we just undo that now?

I can't wait for the return of infinites, and I'm not talking the pseudo-infinites bad killers hold onto when they get owned.

Why do you seem upset about the idea of one killer having mechanics altered to make them less irritating to play as? No-one's saying make them the next spirit, just make their power less unrewarding.

  • It's tradition at this point

  • The kill rates isn't my issue, I can kill with legion, I just wish they weren't so punishing.

Imagine you knew nothing about legion, like they were an unreleased killer. And before you were told about their power you were told about its conditions and drawbacks.

A long recharge time. A long stun that can't be avoided apart from doing really niche stuff that relies on survivors being stupid. A stun and loss of all power with one miss. Can't see blood or scratchmarks. Basic attacks drain the meter too.

Compare that with their predecessor, spirit, whose power is known to be amazing. Short recharge time, no stuns of any kind, basic attacks don't drain her power, can see scratchmarks.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that with those disadvantages legion would have the most insane power in the game right? Some sort of nurse/billy combo, going through walls and instadowning or whatever.

But actually it's zoom zoom gotta go kinda fast

P.s. their add-ons suck. Add-on dependent killer with crap add-ons, you love to see it.

lol all you want but it won’t be funny when it’s you.

I just enjoyed how you phrased that is all

  • I use better together more to tell other survivors to keep away if they're being chased rather than come join me, so I'm cool with it. Trail of torment is still a joke but every chapter needs its designated meme perk I guess

I mean why even use PH then?! It’s not like his ranged attack is any good. The time saved sending to a cage rather than carrying to a hook is supposed to be time used pressuring gens.

I've been hooking tormented survivors to keep them tormented bc it keeps them nervous and I can finish them off quicker later if necessary and avoid any endgame d-strikes. Cages can still be nice to save time but there's a good chance it'll teleport them next to the other survivors who can have them out and healed asap without having to go far from their gen.

I hit the ranged attack pretty consistently as well, which is surprising considering how much I suck with huntress + slinger. I'm loving him honestly.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Yeah soo much fun on survivor side getting put into a cage and knowing the killer is tunneling you, cause you cant defend yourself. sigh.

I'd be fine with them not showing the killer the cage aura.

  • @PrettyFaceKate said:

Is that because it's you who run directly toward them even before being uncaged?

Let's not pretend plenty of survivors will do anything possible to use their ds, including running at the killer after being unhooked and jumping in and out of lockers.

  • I think when the novelty wears off most pyramids will use the cages more sparingly. They have their uses but caging survivors is often less useful than hooking them, plus they'll want to activate their own perks which only work with hooks.

I’m just thinking of all the lovely scenarios where Forced Penance can be inflicted on 2 survivors attempting to heal a slug, or bum rushing the hook. In conjunction with Blood Echo when next hooking someone:

    • No inner strength during that period
    • cancels second wind
    • severely limits survivors that like to play altruistically BUT only while they’re in the healthy state.
    • No Dead Hard. No Head On. No other exhaustion perks for 45 seconds while some of them can’t heal.

These are all theoretical at this stage, but it’s fun to think about. Could end up being a crap perk. But I’ll give it a chance and see.

I've got some good use out of it, especially now protection hits are given out more generously so a survivor that just ran by an injured teammate gets broken as well

Also could be perk number 4 for the iron grasp/agitation/mad grit build

  • Let's not judge him too harshly, the lure of 602 green keys is too much for many to resist

  • I'm sure this excellent feedback is being sent to the balancing team already, possibly via a telegram

  • I've seen a lot of cages backfire already anyway. I just got caged and teleported next to two other survivors on a gen, which isn't exactly the best map pressure

  • I haven't played him yet so can't really get a feel for his strength completely but he is so much fun to play against <3

There'll be less pyramid heads in a couple of weeks and you can go back to locker-DSing spirits or whatever

well its obviously a killer sided map like most indoor maps. Survivors who want to win will try to avoid and only want to experience it as killer. Try to play SWF, this gives u better chance to get the new map

God forbid they experience any of the new content in case they don't escape once. Just had a match against the new killer get cancelled because he brought a green mori as well

  • I want to see it too but survivors keep putting on f*cking coldwind offerings

So basically "I don't want to hear anyone else's opinions that don't agree with mine."

People like you are what preach inclusion, preach diversity, but when someone else doesn't agree with you, you shun them out. It's called Fascism. The "with me or against me," is what Fascism is all about.

    Very "inclusive" of you.

Fascism is a specific political ideology (more like an umbrella of them) that like others determines specific relations between the state, business, citizens, other nations etc etc. It has nothing to do with nothing to do with whether two people online want to associate with each other or not based on different opinions.

  • Is the new tome level coming today as well?

  • Leatherface's changing of masks is sometimes depicted as his way of 'selecting' a personality or role to temporarily use, which he's otherwise incapable of expressing. Also if someone killed and ate a black woman irl and literally wore her face I doubt the biggest problem people would have is that's it's a racially insensitive look.

  • I don't think anyones's mentioned it but clown should be getting buffed today. A small change but could help a lot in chases.

As for plague gens go by really quickly because for one thing survivors don't really heal in the normal way (even worse - no self care) so you want to run either slowdown stuff (dying light with thana together is nasty on her) or lots of gen stuff (corrupt intervention and ruin are both good on her)

Freddy you can stack gen perks. Pretty much all gen perks on him become good. Pop is the nastiest, thrilling tremors, discordance and surveillance are all great, tinkerer is also really good, hes the only killer i'd bother running that on

  • Why do people RQ on death hook? I don't get it at all

  • @Freesham said:

Apparently they don't want to make the mistake again of certain DLC perks being too powerful, as that would make the game seem pay to win. So to avoid that, they just make all the new perks insanely underpowered and useless so you'll never see them used unironically in matches.

It does make a lot of sense to err on the side of caution and make an underpowered perk you can buff later rather than an OP one that will make games miserable until nerfed. It's just they don't do the buff later part and ignore them to pump out another set of joke perks instead. And the ratio of perks that gets used to those that don't just gets wider and the grind gets grindier etc etc

  • Obviously because all these perks need a cooldown or they would be insanely OP. Imagine a killer that could use zanshin tactics constantly. They'd know the shack has a window and pallet in it even before they get there.

  • I like quite a few of them, hybridpanda was the first I watched & I miss him

  • Both main but:

    Huntress: yeah kinda

Hag: that's more of a noob move than a scummy one

Bubba: 50ft? I'm pleasantly surprised when a bubba goes 50cm away after hooking me

Freddy: don't really understand what this means

    Adrenaline.

Sprint Burst effect and maybe a heal AT THE ENDGAME. Let me just play the entire game with only 3 perks for a once-only small boost. Sure, I could clutch out a chase against a killer and be able to run them for a bit longer, but NoED has infinite duration and a smart killer might decide that gates are actually more important right now.

    Dead Hard.

Never works. Either extends a chase by all of two seconds at most, unless you've planned out everything with a pallet nearby or can be used to bait out and possibly confuse newer killers in the lower ranks.

    Unbreakable.

If I'm slugging you, I WANT you to use your Unbreakable. I'm wasting time with you eating dirt.

    Whispers.

I have found this perk only useful on Doctor to use with Static Blast. That is it. I know that it's meant to be good tracking, but it really doesn't work for me.

    Corrupt Intervention.

I don't immediately rush for a generator. I instead look for totems, and possibly a chest. Locking down some generators at the start is a huge waste of a perk to me because it's again, a one-use-only perk, and doesn't affect me that much considering my main goal now isn't strictly generators. Especially since the whole "gen-rush" thing negatively affects both sides. I perform better, and rank up faster, by playing in a solo setting and playing in longer games. Corrupt literally helps me do better as a survivor.

    Quick & Quiet.

The killer is going to be looking at you half the time. No real point in using the perk then now, is there?

Do you not like whispers on pig? Guarantees you'll never be crouchwalking for no reason, ofc it was better when her terror radius was smaller...

  • Thana I see a lot but I only think it's decent on certain killers and paired with dying light (which is also shite on its own)

  • It might be enduring, the killer does get stunned but it's very brief.

The hard truth is you can throw on 4 Hexes and give the survivors complete hell. Even by the time all 4 Hexes have been found and cleansed, in most matches this hasn’t disadvantaged the killer at all because the damage has already been done to survivors due to the IMMENSE stall created by having 1, 2, 3, or all 4 survivors having spent time searching them out and cleansing them.

Hexes as they are, despite being removable from the match can heavily sway the odds against the survivors. Changing this so that survivors can’t do this would be broken and far too unfun. Hook suicides would go through the roof.

I love all-hex builds Usually depends mostly on the map but it's either living hell for the survivors or I'm playing perkless by mid-game.

  • Most hatchet hits were aimed at a different survivor.

  • even the weaker hexes would be miserable if not hex perks. Third seal destroys non-swf and having it unable to be removed would widen the solo/swf gap. Huntress' lullaby isn't rated highly but if you think survivors hate doc now imagine him with that and it can't be removed either. Every doc would run it (I already do) Devour hope I don't think I need to say why that's a bad idea.

  • Yes, a lot of players in general are young, and probably even more on ps4 because it's ps4. Another reason I don't really let "toxic" in-game actions get to me, because there's a decent chance the clicky Nea/facecamping Bubba is literally a 10 year old and I'm too old to be getting riled by some gen Z's

  • I got it by accident. Was the last one left, and wasn't in the mood for looking for hatch so went to lurk by an exit gate. Killer couldn't find it, so I got bored, went back did a gen before sneaking back to the gate. He found the hatch and I got out through the gate. Not exactly a normal situation though.

  • Swamp is ridiculous with hatch spawns. I've had killers carrying me around for ages trying to give me hatch until giving up and hooking me, which is a relief at that point.

Blindness as a solo survivor is Sooooo much fun to go against. Not knowing when someone is coming to get you off the hook or where people are downed. Makes things more tense. I always run blindness traps on pig.

I agree they need to make changes to it.

Though personally, id love a third seal but for deafness. Like one of hags addons. Still hear music and TR and skillcheck prompts, but gen sounds, footsteps, killer noises like demo teleporting or Freddy blood from teleporting. Killet breaking noises. Even swf on comms would have a difficult time with it.

Pig's one is one of the few blindness addons I like. Ran it once with third seal and knockout just for fun and got a disconnect four (I wasn't even slugging that hard)

Thinking more about my idea: this isn’t stupid but should be basekit. Also apply the bloodpoints for the Mori to the survivor.

bleeding out as the last survivor is just stupid and totally unnecessary (even if the killer fears DS they don’t have to let you bleed out completely)

haha yeah at first I laughed and then was like...hang on that'd be quite nice to have

  • Oh no you don't

Press the active ability button to make a recently completed generator uncompleted again. Can only be used a maximum of 5 times per match.

  • @Mooks said:

did you just leak a perk from chapter 17?!

and it doesn’t have a cooldown? Totally OP, plz nerf!

Ah ######### I forgot the cooldown

  • Blindness as an effect also making lit totems appear dull would spice things up a bit imo.

  • It's hard to say because I'm not consistent, like with most games I play. Some days I can take down swf teams who all know how to run tiles, can force decent killers to break chases and save me til last. Other times it's one painfully stupid move after another. But idc either way if I'm having fun.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

I usually don't pay attention to usernames. If I notice as a killer, I may dodge the lobby or I may just laugh knowing how bored they're about to be in my match and what poor content it'll make. It's unlikely I'll notice, though. I haven't been wearing my glasses while playing, so the screen is mostly a blur; I can't read the names unless I get up close to the TV.

Why would you play without your glasses?

From my experience with Lightborn it is really rare to only get one hit. Most Survivors try to blind multiple times.

(which is something that shows that many Survivors cannot use Flashlights. Because they will not figure out it is Lightborn, but doubt themselves if they made a mistake and try again)

Yeah to be fair I'd probably be one of the survivors trying multiple times, my aim isn't great and hardly anyone runs lightborn.
