  • Well at least it won't be long before having all perks on him as I desperately scour every bloodweb for that one purple addon

No, but I do understand how someone can get that idea. It's a two part thing for me.

I'm gay (not really much of an excuse) , so a lot of things are refered to as female (even if implied or blatantly otherwise) just to lighten things up. The other that ties into it is the obvious. Certain context like tone or pacing is not really existent when written. So, in truth, I'm really the only person that has the context of it being a joke already in my head. I didn't mean for it to be taken in a serious way.

Ahh apologies I thought it was a homophobic thing, seeing as how many people decided he was an LGBT character for some reason.

I'm not going to pour one out for the new girl, but I have the bottle already cracked open.

A 110% MS killer with a non lethal power, that's going to get clowned by the same maps that make her better counterpart an M1tress.

The only thing homegirl had was being able to build laceration while in animation lock for a possible quick down (like procing the first one, then the survivor throws down a pallet and proc another), but just like throwing a pallet on a frenzied legion "why even bother? just hold w"

    ??

The new killer is male, the survivor is female

  • I'd probably rage constantly if I played dbd for a living. Especially when you can't switch to another game or you lose most of your viewers.

I'm not gonna pour that much pity on people that earn way more than I can but I wouldn't choose that life, especially living in fear bhvr screw up for good or actually get competition

  • I feel kinda nervous about being watched but also like to watch myself from a different perspective afterwards. Most ttvs I've gone against are actually nice + chill

As for certain mid-level streamers who I won't mention by name it's best to catch them when they're actually streaming bc when the cameras are off the uwu wholesome persona is completely ditched in post game chat when they lose.

  • That's not just M1 killers. They get hooked after the last gen is done and they have DS, they're out.

  • It's nice to have an anti-slug perk that doesn't just affect yourself. Especially if you have teammates that go down very fast.

How is this off topic? This person is complaining about Huntress, I'm defending Huntress, very on-topic.

    That's not what I'm seeing.

All I can say is: LMAO. You should try playing Huntress sometime. Throw a few of those "Uncounterable" axes, and see just how many survivors juke you into the dirt. Thing is, Huntress actually takes a decent degree of skill to play really well. If you cant dodge those, then you're playing your loops wrong, end of story.

    @voorheesgt said:

I regularly get beat as huntress. I play her because she's fun sometimes. I've never felt like I was winging refrigerators at people! It's a latency thing. Sometimes misses hit by a margin but sometimes sure hits miss too.

I'm going to have to ask you all to stay on topic (aka cows) I may not be a mod here (yet) but that won't stop me from giving out warnings and bans if necessary

Mmm-hmm. Well, the next time I'm running a Huntress around an LT wall, dodging, baiting and juking hatchets, I'll just have to keep reminding myself that I am, in fact, a hackerwomans.

Bold of you to assume I'd want to hear more about it and subsequently have my small precious moo moos ruined. Demon already tried that (and failed I found it funny).

Excellent, let's moove past these dark mental images

  • It was bad enough having to imagine it in the first place

I blame a friend of mine who shared a very strange furry image that was cow-related earlier (on facebook of all places, he has his mum on there)

I'd only be comfortable being more specific about the image in question with another 18+ person lest I get (rightfully) put on some kind of government register, I hope you understand.

  • No, not in-game anyway, although I feel bad when I've given a killer a hard time and it turns out they're a rank 13.

You can chill more if you're a killer and you've got the upper hand though, even if most don't. What can you do as survivor though? Let yourself get downed? Not save people? It's not fair on your team, even if they're a bunch of genrushing, clicky clicky lil' sweatlords they're still at the moment your team

Edit: I don't abuse broken loops and didn't when there was more of them unless the killer has made it clear that they're quite anti-fun themselves, I guess that's caring to a degree?

The person who wrote this on your steam profile might agree

  • I don't have him anymore but pallet Freddy. Used the backpack build with the pill bottle so awake survivors just see a disembodied survivor come charging at them. Bonus points if they try to pallet save with a fake pallet while I'm chasing them.

  • I don't like surveillance on its own but I love it with ruin or surge (or both)

Hmm yeah maybe deception and entiring a locker could just be ther survivor methodically taking 1 out kicking it and repeating until the locker is empty then either hiding in the locker or using deception on it.

I like the idea for head on it explains how you can get those 3 mile away headons a lot better.

Iron maiden also is a neat counter to Inner Strength now but I thought the victor would priobably be tired after their previous trials so they might be sleeping

The head on hitbox and Victor's hitbox will combine nicely to stun the killer from the shack lockers even if they aren't in the shack at the time.

  • Big deception nerf as the victors will just fall all over the floor when the doors are kicked open.

Head on is now a survivor hitting the killer with one of them.

Iron maiden switches from causing exposed to just straight up taking a health state as the angry victors start biting whoever got in with them.

  • You're using an OP perk to deny spirit, the most balanced killer in the game, of any hooks. She has every right to be angry.

  • @StibbityStabbity said:

Had a Bubba once that managed to down me and slap me on a hook. He was hard proxy-camping my hook, never running more than a second or two away before coming back. The other Survivors did their best to get him to chase away from the hook, but he would always immediately run back. When the trial ended, the guy was an absolute hole in the chat. Had this cringey macho-man attitude that made it sound like he unironically wheres t-shirts with tribal tattoo designs and a grim reaper drinking beers and flipping people off. I checked his steam profile and it REALLY WAS tribal tattoos and middle-finger-grim-reapers everywhere.

Another was a match against a Huntress. Rank 1 super-sweat. Okay, whatever. We're down to two Survivors left, and I get dropped pretty hard. Not denying their skill, they clearly knew Huntress very well and chases were short and vicious. They clearly wanted to slug for the 4k, but also had hatch near where I dropped. So the Huntress would patrol a bit away and come back, checking on my slugged body and the hatch to make sure I couldn't get away. The whole time I'm bleeding out, and the other Survivor is wisely not engaging because it would be suicide. I ended up bleeding out, and the Huntress went after the last Survivor and eventually got them. From the moment I hit the ground to the end of the trial was about 7-10 minutes. Post-game lobby was just an explosion of insults from the Huntress because the last Survivor chose NOT to run in to their death and instead hide to see if they could find some avenue of making a play. The Huntress complained about our team being female genitalia, our overpowered perks (nobody was running smol-pp builds), and the respect I had for their skill completely vanished on account of how absolutely toxic of a person they were.

I have Killer Brain, even as a Survivor. I always look to see why a Killer may act in a certain way and give them the benefit of the doubt. That Huntress was well and truly beyond any doubt. They were an #########, there simply was no other explanation for the amount of BS they tossed around.

Yeah lol. I usually do. I only pull it out when ppl think I'm a new player. And that's the mark of a veteran. Being embarrassed that you've spent so much time on this ######### game.

No offence meant :p what's your devotion level btw?

  • The best thing to do might be to stop playing altogether. Otherwise take breaks. If I start getting tilted I stop playing for the day. If I'm getting really tilted in general it'll be a several week break and I'll switch to some nice single player games, usually a paradox one or hitman. The rift can make it harder to keep away but your health is more important than a crappy recolour on a character you don't play as.

  • I like legion, although when bhvr panic-nerfed them they added a lot of unfun little mechanics to them, so using your power can be pretty punishing. Also related to this - the majority of their addons don't really do anything. Salt risk: medium. Although not as hated as before, mending isn't especially fun and survivors who don't understand how their power works will try and hide from you and then accuse you of hacking.

Spirit is fun to play, play her enough and you just...won't really lose. That may be fun or unfun for you. She's also going to be nerfed again at some point, not that they've announced anything but it will happen. Salt risk: very high. Expect to be considered worse than Hitler for playing her. Raise to extremely high if you run meta perks on her

Deathslinger is the hardest to learn and your time for practice is limited because survivors will start smashing gens when they realise it's a slinger and with your 110 cowboy waddle you're not likely to be stopping them. Salt risk: high.

  • That's a bug with exploit potential. I had the same thing happen with a Kate in the same place. I assumed she wasn't moving from there because she knew she couldn't be picked up so I waited till the clicky Feng came over to heal her then camped them both in the basement and let the last survivor go. If she actually couldn't move from there then...my bad

  • @TimeOutTimmy said:

Keep in mind that a large portion of this player base are either kids or young adults... and they have zero experience in that area. Sexual references and vulgarity lose their hilarity as we grow up.

Being healed by "Onis Fat Cock" isn't remotely funny to me. Not because I lack a sense of humor... but if I need that in my day I would just call my husband.

Hey I'm 31 and in an 8 year relationship and "Oni's fat cock" is comedy gold. When I'm 80 & in a care home I hope that somewhere through the fog of senility the memory of a vulgar dbd username will return to me and make me cackle until my catheter gets dislodged

  • @KiwiCoattails said:

I’ve jumped into lockers before to pretend I have DS and it always makes me laugh when they call my bluff and pull me out. I literally never run DS. I’ve also noticed I get slugged more when I play as Laurie as killers just assume I’m using it. I play her because she’s an icon. Not for her perks.

I've tried that one too but haven't had much success with it. The killers I go against will almost always just try and eat locker DS

  • @Phasmamain said:

I’m convinced they made all the potential pallet spawns and then forgot to randomise them

I had the same thought but I've heard reports from pallet freddies that only about half the possible spawns are used. So it seems...deliberate, which isn't very reassuring

  • Why would anyone like about having 8k hours? If I had 8k hours in dbd I'd probably keep it to myself

  • Back at clown's rework there was a rank 1 killer who clearly thought they were extremely clever for playing IF slug nurse on the ptb, amplified with vigorous nodding and head shaking whenever she downed one of my teammates, who weren't the best ever.

But I was having a good day and she couldn't down me, or even get a hit on me. She also couldn't keep the others down bc I kept reviving them with WGLF. I kept going for a while until I remembered this wasn't actually what I got on the ptb for so just started following her around, crouchwalking behind her until she noticed. When she got me on the hook I was furiously kebabed all the way until death, with me cackling to myself irl like a cartoon villain.

Hit her with the gg wp and got a lot of Russian words in response which I didn't bother putting into google translate. I only hope we can see each other again in the non-ptb fog (or maybe not)

  • Some parts of survivor take skill, good decision making is probably more important for the role but you can lack both those things and get by with meta perks, bad map design, weaker killers, stupid matchmaking etc

The downside to nerfing ruin even though I agreed with it was the removal of any skill required to do the main survivor activity at all, even if chases now generally require more since map changes (abominations like the meat plant rework notwithstanding)

More likely then a person plays only with cheaters. If people see cheaters everywhere it usualy means they cant admit that they are not as skillfull as other people and rather have the illusion everyone is cheating then get better.

Well I don't know for sure because I haven't gone against a cheater that I know of, but I have seen it happen multiple times on streams. Usually pretty easy to tell BC it's something ridiculous like infinite firecrackers that blind you for 30 seconds each - but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that there are also cheaters who are smarter or with more self-preservation who use their extra features in a more subtle way.

    @YourNightmare said:

Also i'm curious about the effectiveness of EAC... we have never had any stats about it, how many bans per day etc... We don't know, maybe it's just here to make the game prettier xD.

In other games we have ban numbers (R6S, Valorant, Warzone etc...).

    QD6Wl9g4_400x400.jpg

Babe a new patch dropped time to verify your files again! Also you didn't happen to see a ghostface just fly past, did you?

  • @Pirate said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/234441/is-it-me-or-there-is-a-cheater-plague-atm

Sometimes people accuse me of wallhacking but the truth is that a good killer watches everything from: birds, grass, generators, generator sparks, etc. On the other hand I often see a survivor and ignore him for a while while using Pop or breaking a pallet then I go to the survivor and they think I WH them eventhough I knew they are there for 2 min now.

Sometimes I fish survivors out of lockers with Doc or with help of BBQ because they seem to not understand that a lack of response of Docs AOE shock or BBQ is also a response.

Try playing Killer on a really high level and you will learn to pay attention and mindgame people so hard you will get reported every match for skill.

Ye s but someone with a VAC ban and 100 hours on dbd is less likely to fit the profile you describe

  • Normally I'd say a lucky guess, but if they have a VAC ban I'd probably be more suspicious

  • @GlamourousLeviathan said:

    Congrats!

I only got my Doctor Adept and since then I have been procrastinating getting the others for months. Wish me luck.

If the devs are still planning on making rank reset put is all back to 20 every months it might be worth waiting for that

  • @CrashMADDS13 said:

You all last minute switch characters, send me to haddonfield, and then teabag as a OoO across the map, your asses are waiting 20 minutes for your next match

Its always at the times of day that survivor queues are at their longest that this sort of stuff happens, it's really not a good idea

  • @DarKaron said:

Well, one thing that helps me when I'm having a rough day is a nice match of Rancor Roulette.

Rancor, Furtive Chase, and Nemesis, ideally on stealth Killer like Ghostie, Pig, or Wraith.

The entire idea behind the build is to tunnel the crap out of the Obsession, who changes every hook.

If they survive to EGC, either hook them or mori them for extra style points.

It was you that suggested this on here a while ago right? I started doing it but then started from scratch when moving to steam so I'm prioritising unlocking the required perks so I can get back to some good old R&R 😅

I use those three perks then either MYC or dead man's switch

  • That sounds like a pretty standard rank 13 wraith. If you're really lucky you'll come across the ultra rare variant, which involves them not looking at what the addons they're putting on actually do and invisicamping with "the beast"

  • @Freudentrauma said:

Barely watch him. Mostly because I prefer German speaking content creators over others. Also while his style of analyzing gameplay is quite refreshing, it sometimes a little bit too much for me. But I understand why people like his content.

I don't know of many German-speaking dbd creators, got any recommendations?

  • This video will help:

    https://youtu.be/t8u0jRxN2kQ

  • It's what happens when a new part of the tome comes out and to get through the survivor part you need to do a gen smash challenge. Give it a few days and they'll be chasing you around with breakout and AMN

  • I get lots of Freddies and slingers if anyone wants to trade

  • Killers should also be able to instantly repair gens like with exit gates. Starve survivors of the satisfaction by genrushing faster than they ever could

  • Play blight, you'll start seeing a lot more lerys

  • They know you can't use it, think of it as an offering of sorts

  • Dump some BP and shards in alternating spaces on the free track + replace the crappy charm recolours no one actually used with more shards on the paid track = more people will be inclined to play more just for the free track alone and will complete enough of it to actually consider getting the paid one. They're shooting themselves in the foot by being tight-fisted.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Yeah, absolutely making sure that one poor person cannot get the escape they probably worked their butt off for because the killer wants to secure a kill they really didn't earn is totally fun and fair. I have no clue why anyone would ever complain.

I don't think that's a reasonable expectation. In a situation where the killer has also worked their butt off but gens are still going quickly are you going to stop working on them to give the killer a break? Despite what OP says it's been ages since I've seen survivors complain about endgame camping/tunnelling because it's generally accepted that it's not remotely the same as camping/tunnelling at 5 gens.

I would also prefer the killer keep playing the game once all gens are done even if that means I'm getting camped, rather than them opening the exit gates and going off into a corner, which is a bit anticlimactic.
