  • It would probably work with dark devotion, but not in any way that would be especially useful?

  • I agree with going for deeper buried horror as inspiration but experimenting is cool too. I don't think k-pop horror is something that's been massively explored before

(although there is one korean film that deals with that I've been meaning to watch, mainly bc I love korean films as they're usually 8 genres at once)

  • Either hiding or wasting time once all gens are done. It may be a nasty endgame build but it means no gen perks, no chase perks, no info perks, so doing totems as well as gens should be more of an option. But I still don't think you'll see endgame builds that often.

  • There's old lady clothes but Laurie has been dressing like that since she was 17 god bless her

  • Give me recent halloween Laurie and I'll actually play Laurie

  • I think the point of the exposed one is you can't Bodyblock, unless you really really like the survivor being carried

The vault one is a hex. I'm not sure how much more there is to say on that front

The one you barely mentioned is probably the one that'll be the nastiest, if you pair it with remember me and noed

And yeah, they've ran out of ideas for survivor perks I'll give you that

Heh, imagine making a deadzone full of fake pallets

Game would be a pallet freddy's wet dream

You fall asleep during chase and the amount of god pallets instantly triple, just looming over you menacingly

The last time there was a killer that was viable at the highest level it was 2.5 years ago. True story.

Basically don't get your hopes up for anything other than another waste of money if you don't like being a mental chewtoy for a toxic swf gang.

    😭 why can't I kill survivors without Rin-chan

  • Noed "feels" better, if that's the right word, in situations when the killer has done a pretty good job so far an alright job overall, at least having a few survivors on death hook anyway, against survivors who just hopped from gen to gen and ignoring any unlit totems.

When a group of solos do all gens, 4 totems, and the killer just spends most of the match trying to catch one of them and ignoring all gens before getting everyone with noed, feels pretty bad.

I'm against removing noed atm bc after the dying of undying, noed, inner strength and... thrill of the hunt I guess are the only incentives to even go near a dull totem rather instead of just smashing gens.

If some other, possibly base punishment was there for ignoring totems (especially for cases where between 3-5 totems are left standing, which is less forgiveable than one well-hidden totem being overlooked) then I'd be happier with them reworking/nerfing noed into something else.

I see killers win all the time on the new Gideon. It was a death bed before and killers enjoyed very easy wins on the old map. I've played on the map a few times and it is an exaggeration to say it has too many pallets. I still see a lot of spaces with no pallets and the games I played in killers were downing people in a matter of seconds. The pallets are also not obvious so it takes memorization from the survivor player to even know where pallets are located. I also saw several "dead ends" where if the killer didn't break the walls the survivor is trapped after dropping a pallet. If you are injured or facing a chainsaw killer it is game over simply because of a killer favored map design.

Mate literally all you need to do on gideon is run from pallet to pallet and camp them or throw them down instantly while the others do gens. If you're consistently dying to low tier killers on this map there are some fundamental issues with your survivor gameplay.

Gideon for some reason doesn't want to pop up in my roster, Killer or Survivor...

Think its clearly going to be primarily focused on a gender neutral survivor hence the Blue and pink (male/female) colour scheme and neutral name. Killer could be litterally anything at this point as we have just the single persona. Expect a few twists, like we got with Blight and Twins. Might not even be a killer perhaps πŸ€”

I'm surprised so many people think the stuff from twitter relates to the survivor

I mean it could but have they ever dropped hints for the survivor instead of the killer before?

Tell me how that relates to FNaF.

You're just giving yourself and others false hope.

    dbd1.jpg

    this is how

  • Also best totem protection build is snipe doc with hg and toth, and no other perks

  • I value my sanity too much to play at that time but I like the sound of that bubba

  • Are you a blendette OP? They usually seem to be the most anti-doc

Hard counters pallet camping, takes all the fun out of selfcare skillchecks and ruins any chance of spending half the match crouched in a bush. o p a f

  • "I have 1400+ hrs in this game. I know how to avoid long DC penalties."

The way to avoid getting a long DC penalty for when your pc crashes or dbd bugs out is not dc'ing otherwise.

I've had my game crash, I've quit after game breaking bugs, and annoying as it is having to wait 5 minutes when it's not my fault it's only ever been 5 minutes

  • I only played one match yesterday and it was rainbow ranks so my nurse challenge was much less painful than expected.

The weirder thing was I had to wait several minutes for a lobby. That doesn't happen at night as killer in my region, you press ready and boom you're in.

  • Yeah I've only lost on the game as survivor once since the rework, you don't even have to try.

I won on there as doc bc they surrendered, pallets or not I guess they got sick of the static blasts reaching everyone and summoned me over with vault spam before pointing at hooks. So still a good doc map I guess? But loading in as other m1ers like trapper or wraith I'd be tempted to just take the 5.

Maybe this is their way of encouraging everyone to play nurse for the latest rift?

  • Single rank 16 killers in your area are horny for bloodpoints

  • That rewind tho - we're getting a killer with a second chance power right? Like you whiff and then rewind and hit them?

It would be fun and balanced I'm sure of it

  • I'd like to think it's not deliberate, and was hoping that it was some kinda of bug that spawns every possible pallet in every location, but I'm concerned nothing about it was addressed in the latest patch and there's been no further mention of it.

As an M1 killer it barely even constitutes gameplay, if you want to chase survivors there's no alternative to endless pallet kicking.

Aesthetically it's great but there need to be more unsafe pallets and much less pallets overall, maybe a few more windows.

And I get that breakable walls are here to stay but having to drop a survivor to break a wall to get to a hook is just irritating, especially when you've just kicked 12 pallets to get them down in the first place.

  • Def do gens and leave. If a bubba facecamps me (and I usually run kindred so you'll see it) I'll stick it out so you can do gens and leave. If you all stop doing gens and start coming to crouch around the hook I'll let go and one of you can have a staring contest instead.

Some survivors will be angry that you left them on the hook instead of all charging in and giving a camping bubba a 4k, ignore them.

    holy badword it's candyman

  • Chances are your teammates will be running more selfish perks so bringing a few perks that can help the team can balance it out (we'll make it, BT, kindred etc)

WGLF is also good to have bc slugging destroys solos (also points)

And bring something nice for yourself like IW, IS, or an exhaustion perk. Or if you really want to get into the solo experience bring urban evasion, spine chill and self care and use them constantly

  • Apart from all the many different things which make competitive dbd not make any sense, other games like mobas and fpses where everyone sweats and runs only the most meta stuff can still be fun and interesting to watch. In dbd those matches are pretty dull imo, even with a commentator excitedly talking about gen progress and current amount of slugs

Well it's your turn to test those surviours then for me πŸ·πŸ‘‘

I barley play anymore due to just lack of support for us console players plus the constant down talking we get by streamers and fog whispers is unreal.

Just feel like us console players are a burden to the game or get impression latley.

    πŸ˜”πŸ·

Although I'm on pc these days I haven't forgotten the console life. Still hoping for a last gen optimisation fix, along with a buff that makes the pig fly ✈️🐽

  • You may have been playing for two months but you have the same complaints that people have had for years. Things do get improved in this game but with at speed of a drunken snail.

  • Blendettes are annoying af especially on maps like swamp where they phase in and out of existence in chase like spirit. I don't know why they haven't properly addressed it but I doubt they ever will.

Pig is not OP or broken. In fact, pig is a bottom tier killer. Pig has many things against her...

    1. bad ambush mechanics. Sound triggers too late and the crouch into ambush is ungodly slow without add ons. Then you have your terror radius which takes time to disappear.
    2. RBT are extremely inconsistent. Most players have them off within 2 boxes and you are an M1 killer for the rest of the game. Which is why a lot of pig mains run endfury or other anti-looping builds because gen pressure is tough on this killer.

Tunneling and slugging is not countering yourself (though I do not think killers should resort to it) and often leads to the 4K with pig. Of course, bad pigs will 3rd hook a hat wearer... but good pigs know when to stop. The only gen pressure we have is the hats. You can absolutely win the game without tunneling/slugging more times than not, but generally most tunneling with good pigs is SURVIVOR induced. It's just funny because it's hard to complain against pig when you have game design like Hag or oppressive zoners like PH and Demo. Because other killers can CONSISTENTLY overpower a survivor team whereas pig is again, dependent on the luck of hats staying on. (in red ranks I can tell you head pops rarely occur against any semi-decent team)

It's pretty simple. If a killer wants to tunnel/camp just let them. Go power through gens. I can't tell you how many pig killers that aren't too good get the game over within 10 minutes when I and other teammates power gens and not try to save the person being tunneled constantly. Don't troll, body block, or leave objectives.

Pig is probably the killer I've played the most, so I'm aware she isn't -really- OP or broken. I didn't mention slugging, I do that a lot as pig bc I'm naturally more aggressive with her for some reason, I'm mainly just commenting on the bizarre strategy of dropping chases with untrapped survivors to go after trapped ones (not chasing them off boxes, just in general) which as survivor I've seen a lot and which continues to make no sense to me whatsoever.

And in response to another of your responses I will in fact boop your snoot whether you like it or not. My sweaty jake fingers will be going all the way in, right up to the knuckles.

  • I don't refuse to play against slinger in the sense of doing myself in on first hook but I do activate gen smash mode and the other survivors often do the same so we end up with one of those games where 0/5 players get much in the way of points, pips, or enjoyment. Most slingers I see get stomped and yet there's a never-ending supply of them.

I might be tempted to let go on hook against a good twins player, if I actually got hooked at any point before almost bleeding out. I went against one yesterday and managed to confuse them with tenacity so...a small victory on my part?

I don't play billy bc I suck at him and the chainsaw feels too janky post-nerf. Idk if they actually did change his animations or something, but he feels worse than before. Also the fun and necessary heat gauge is a constant distraction, so it's a no from me.

For a game that is about death and gore, the community is treated like we're all children. Is quite pathetic tbh.

Tbf a lot of the community behaves like children in PGC.

So I don't really mind it but I'd like to have some idea of what's being said to me

Like I would report someone who calls me a f*g

I wouldn't want to report someone who calls me a c**t even if that's still kinda rude

But I won't be able to tell the difference πŸ€”

  • That's really strange. Blocking out slurs I get but why is bhvr so weird about swearing? (See also: this forum)

  • Yes this does need to be discussed because it's not even the "morality" of tunnelling that gets to me in this case just how completely dumb it is. If you're playing against a pig and she's not the brightest cog in the RBT, it's a pretty safe bet that she'll drop chases with untrapped survivors to go after trapped ones, and drop chases with inactive trapped ones for active trapped ones. So you can use this against them.

Best example I saw was a Laurie on death hook who had literally seconds left before brain went boom, and managed to get the killer's attention (who was chasing me, untrapped) and loop her for about two minutes before being downed and sacrificed.

Dear pigs, I know this killer is ofc completely op and broken but you don't have to hard counter yourselves in this way to compensate.

  • I'm not usually a gen smasher but if I put on an envelope I want my points. Maybe not the best designed event in terms of gameplay... but "designed" and "event" are exaggerations too ig

Anyone saying Spirit takes no skill is an idiot, they act like survivor takes so much skill yet you can literally just hold forwards on some maps and waste a large amount of the killers time. You'll see this on maps like lerys or mothers dwelling. I've seen ranks 1 just hold W, press E for distance and then tbag like they're amazing. Sometimes survivors takes literally no skill. Sure there are some skilled survivors but you dont need that skill to win.

Survivor gameplay and the skill required or not isn't relevant to a discussion about spirit, and always bringing up something from the other side when talking about an issue on one side makes actually discussing anything.

I wouldn't say she takes no skill whatsoever, I would say that after a few games with her 4ks will be the norm. Even more so once you put good perks and green add-ons or higher on her (which the vast majority of spirits do)

I went for some spirit games recently bc I hadn't played her in months and she is admittedly very fun. I'd also had a few drinks. I also hadn't leveled her up steam so I was going in with tier 1 sloppy butcher and tier 1 rancor at first And 4k, 4k, 3k, 4k etc against survivors that would've required a -lot- more effort if I was playing one of mains. (I'm a fairly mediocre killer in general too, although I have my moments ig)

Like I said she's fun to play and I don't even mind playing against her that much (Freddy, slinger and twins are all weaker but more obnoxious imo) but none of that makes her not ridiculous.

  • You came to the wrong neighborhood OP. We don't take blasphemous criticism of Rin-chan lightly around here.

I'll have you know stridor spirit is the only viable killer at red ranks. She is also the only viable killer against this group of yellow rank megheads the matchmaking system has unkindly placed me with, and who I will be slugging at 5 gens for no particular reason.

  • Nerf spir

this already isn't a very serious thread since someone actually dropped the "most balanced killer in the game" in reference to spirit of all things, but I'll try

Why does spirit need a trade-off if she gets nerfed? Is it necessary that she in particular has to be in the top 3? Her last round of nerfs didn't give any tradeoffs (although they mostly targeted the wrong things). I could get buffing something in return if you nerfed something like slinger's insta-ADC because just doing that would make him complete dog faeces (off-topic: the profanity filter is stupid) but what does spirit need? She lacks nothing.

  • Please being back 360s devs, how can we possibly be expected to play against last gen console killers and rank 17 wraiths without them

  • @Mooks said:

You could also have gotten some from other survivors in a match and gotten out with it. So any report would be pointless anyway..

I know, I'm just kidding. A bug is always the more likely option in dbd

  • I've been getting them too. I started playing on steam late last year so I assume someone's gonna report me for hacking when using them at some point πŸ˜„

Well, I guess that explains the whining from survivors in endgame chat. lol

A friend of mine who's 30 sent a salty message to a Freddy who tunnelled him. After they argued for a bit it turned out the Freddy was 11. He doesn't message people anymore πŸ˜‚

  • I find the clones are often pretty chill. Not if it's like four blendettes tho, don't do that to yourself

  • I'll do it against iri huntress or slowdown Freddy but only if someone else has already, I don't wanna be the first to throw. So when someone else gets hooked I'm like "c'mon do it, set me free"

  • The definition of tunnelling can be kinda vague but it's hard to have a discussion with anyone who thinks you can get unhooked, heal up, do a gen, other survivors get hooked in the meantime, then you get downed again and that's you being tunnelled.

I don't even know why you'd play this game as survivor if your perception of it is so broad you feel that literally every killer you go against is tunnelling you.
