killer gameplay feels mostly normal, so meh. Annoying hits on survivor are annoying but I've escaped most games since the new patch.
I'm not sure why you're telling off killers as if they were responsible for this patch instead of bhvr's incompetence.
-
I get back to back Freddy and slinger, wanna trade?
-
What if there was a situation where the two killers were on comms together and using it to co-ordinate their actions? Could be a balance issue, I'm not sure the survivors would be happy about that

25 pallets and, what, 6-7 vaults total on the map? The Game will always be a boring "break safe pallet" map because that's how it was designed. It's not the most invigorating game play, but it's also one of the only maps in the game that is designed that way, off the top of my head.
This map was always killer sided and devs obviously saw a reason to make it a little more survivor sided, after changing a lot of other maps to be more balanced from being more survivor sided. I'm not saying they didn't possibly go overboard but like... how many matches have even been played on the new version of the map since the update?
I think people should give it more time before they immediately start calling it out as the new most survivor sided map (you didn't call it that, but other people have). I'm sure it will eventually get tweaked slightly but I myself haven't even played on it more than once since the update LOL
I've played on it a lot as survivor and a few times as killer and it's really bad, like I'd rather go to haddonfield bad.
Unless you're playing nurse or something the sensible thing to do is camp or try to slug them all or something equally unfun, because survivors can just throw down every pallet instantly and you still won't be able to get them down quick enough if the others are doing gens. There's no mindgaming most of them, also as a bonus when you do down a survivor sometimes you have to drop them, kick a breakable wall, then pick them up again to get to a hook. It's mind-numbing.
As survivor I lost to a Freddy once and crucified the killer every other time (and my survivor skills are nothing special)
-
First they nerf Billy, then they add another two metres to his chainsaw. Stop with the mixed messages bhvr pls
-
I started late 2018 just before spirit came out. It's hard to say but this was before current DS, moris were also obviously a thing. In low ranks (they used to match low rank survivors and low rank killers together) every other game was a wraith standing cloaked next to the hook, insidious bubba was way more popular as well.
As for tunnelling despite no current DS it didn't seem that different. Green mori + old dying light I'd see fairly often tho.
Reliving all that I have no idea how I stuck with this game :/ what's wrong with me
-
Apart from the weird hits the new killer pallet vacuum is pretty annoying
-
Yup, got stuck there while playing legion yesterday, so had to eat 5 minutes.

I had a match against a doctor. One hook was destroyed and bc i dropped one of the dozen god pallets, he couldnt hook bc the way around was too long.
There are so many god pallets, that it doesnt feel like a waste, when you instadrop them.
It's exactly like that. Like if you could throw down the shack pallet at 5 gens because there's another 5 like it nearby

Same with me, played survivor most of the night last night but also some killer games.
3 games I was lying on the ground with a nurse nodding her head over me after slugging all 4 survivors till they bled out. Infectious-fright nurse vs a solo squad. Well done. Didn't get a single gen done.
1 game I played against the Twins and the same happened. Looked up the killers profile, he was from MONGOLIA. I am from Norway. WHY do I get matched up against him?? He had 100000s of comments about him being toxic as well. CLearly he is out to make other peoples lives miserable.
The fact that the hitboxes are all over the place does not help.
I also tried out Wraith, wanted to see how he is after the update. I got to say that I like the new wraith, but not vs a sweaty Rainbow-rank SWF. I am rank 8 killer and faces survivors ranked 1, 2, 10 and 18. The dude being rank 18 being the worst of them all, toxic-wise. Everyone having 1000s of hours played. WOW.
The same happened last time there was a BP-event.
Hate it.
Yet, I keep playing :(
As if Mongolian-Norwegian relations weren't tense enough
-
Fill it with water and boil the little wankers
Yeah new game is horrible, worst map rework so far

Think Game map may be disabled too. I played a few matches today and didn't get it once even though it should have higher pick rate right now.
Sadly the game is not disabled. I've had it a lot (lots of offerings going around) and it's seriously bad balance wise. If the survivors know what they're doing and the killer isn't nurse, spirit etc it's an automatic loss, just one shack-strength pallet after another.
Puzzle piece is gonna become the new strode key.
-
I like extra points and the items (it's been giving me 3rd year anniversary party starters as well which is pretty funny)
I don't like the new minigame where you unlock skins by putting in credit card details instead of doing anything in game but you can't convince them to do it any other way just as you can't convince any other bottom feeder to stop slurping algae off a pebble.
-
Why don't they involve the community + get feedback for ideas/proposals earlier? For their sake as well, rather than work on something for ages which everyone then hates.
-
You can, it just takes a bit of effort (and looks funnier)
-
It is unfair that 360s (usually) only work against killers on certain platforms. They could fix that by fixing console framerate and m&k support but they won't.
-
You should probably uninstall. Doesn't have to be forever, but if you feel that way often there's probably other games (or other things) that you could enjoy more. Plus breaks from this game help, I do it often now.
-
A pretty bad insult directed at a dev or another member might do it. Feel free to use me as a target if you're looking for a way out
-
I'm fine with the new animations although injured moving and maybe standing could use some work. The UI I have an issue with apart from being able to see hook states as survivor, which is nice.
-
It'll probably be silence for a bit then vague responses about mixed feedback and not being able to revert the changes anyway before ultimately reverting them if enough people stop playing
-
Least of my concerns tbh
-
People often say they're leaving for small things like a perk getting nerfed, like people said they were leaving over undying, over DS, and yeah they probably won't.
If a change makes people physically uncomfortable then there's a good chance they actually might though
-
We know this is you Mathieu
-
It's not all bad, we have bukkake demogorgon at least
-
If I could keep the perks, ghostface
If not, slinger

You remind me so much of Almo the dev, just because it is on the statistics doesn't mean they are the best, according to the stats pig is the best killer also the most popular one.
Stop basing your things on stats as well since even the devs said "don't use stats to prove X thing".
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1923453#Comment_1923453
Bbq got nerfed, ruin got nerfed, undying is the only reason people use ruin.
I don't see people not using DS after the first nerf in fact I see it more than before.
You must be over reacting or trying to troll one or the other.
Ruin didn't get buffed it got nerfed, before it was used for a bit just to find chases after that people didn't cared about it, it went from free early pressure to mid/almost endgame and even then it was horrible without undying.
If you can't hear a chainsaw then that is not the killer's fault is it?
Even almo isn't that bad. If sluzz was in charge of game balance DS would have infinite uses, stun for 30 seconds each time and survivor queues would be about 6 hours on average

Unless they made some significant changes from the PTB version, Clown will still be a relatively low tier killer.
The afterpiece antidote on the PTB was really awkward to use. You have to switch bottles and throw it at the right distance so the delayed activation trigger when you get there. I don't quite understand what the antitode is supposed to contribute in loops that the tonic can't do without the finicky bottle switch. And as for map pressure, a 10% speed boost for 5 seconds make you gain 2 whole meters. Its really not much. And if you use the antitode like that, you will have to reload more often.
So I really wonder what the dev's goal was with theses new bottles. On the PTB they didn't really accomplish anything in particular. The best thing about them is the add-on that give you wall hacks when you are invigorated. Everything else is incredibly underwhelming.
It's a bit underwhelming yeah but at least it's pretty original and if you really don't like the new bottles there's no need to use them. They'll probably be some niche uses for them people haven't picked up on yet as well.
-
Who cares about noticing which survivors are injured, the obsession etc when you have access to the most important information of all - how many hooks you have in general.
It does kinda make sense that they want to give the consolers a chance to experience it but I can save a lot of time and say they'll also hate it
-
Perks that consistently carry you are the vast minority on both sides, most give some vaguely useful effect or they'll win matches for you one in every 20 games.
Also your example is a bad one. Resilience won't do anything for you if you can't loop well anyway.
-
There are people in all multiplayer games who RQ as soon as it seems they're gonna lose. Almost feel sorry for them, the best wins are the comeback ones.
-
Some survivors do go after doc a lot, some even thought he was OP before the buff (mostly confusing annoying with being overpowered)
Plus if you're a survivor with a certain "playstyle" i.e., camping pallets, missing skillchecks, being a blendette - doc will seriously piss you off

I'd only just thought of it bc I was only thinking about killer perks but the synergy with mettle of man would be insane if you can pull it off (which I'd try to do every match until I managed it)
-
It is easy to rank up but don't sell yourself short, if you're dying every match and still progressing you must be doing something useful for the team. If escapes were the only measure of doing well as survivor then you'd only see blendettes with a good supply of keys at high ranks.

I do like her new look from what I saw of it in the ptb

How long was she 115 for?
This isn't a trick question it was before my time

Oh yeah derp forgot about her after the old woman thing. Wow I feel dumb now.
dw I struggle to picture nurse as having hair outside of that one cosmetic and not just being a floating tampon
-
They hate console players more by making them play her
-
What I like about playing spirit is you can just run any random crap on her and not have to worry about boring gen/meta perks. That said most spirits I go against just run this sort of nonsense so eh

And I don't feel bad, because they all have the perk. If I didn't tunnel they would have wasted a perk slot. I'm doing them a favor.
But also, yeah -- if you have DS then I will tunnel you out of the game, because it's rude.
You make no sense. You'll tunnel people because everyone has DS and also said you'll tunnel when there's no obsession. This isn't a DS thread anyway so take it to one of the 50 currently going round.
Thanks Karu, I watched the stream anyway but your commentary is fun
-
I hope you aren't letting them and are avoiding the beam. Then you're the one who gets points!

DBD Problems are over exaggerated?
They're pushing a HUD patch that everyone hates.
They have Devs that they had to silence due to their lack of professionalism.
They refused to implement a color blind mode for years (It took an outcry on social media that lead to extremely bad press to force their hand).
Matchmaking is a complete ######### show and puts rank 10-20's against Rank 1's (even without SWFs).
Hit boxes and Latency are worse than any game i've ever seen.
Many killers are bugged and have been bugged for years (ie Nurse, Myers, Oni ect).
Every patch is released with more bugs than they can fix within a 3 month period. (Alot being game breaking.. ie falling through maps, invincible under hooks/gens)
Most maps are incredibly unbalanced and either lean heavily toward killers or heavily toward survivors.
Most cosmetics cost more than the base game itself.
The bloodpoint grind is so bad that most new players wont ever catch up.
"Statistics"
Extremely long queue times for survivor
Shall we keep going?
They didn't silence Ethan, he was kidnapped by those extremists at the Colourblind Liberation Front. There were signs of a struggle at his home, the notes for what was going to be his magnum opus scattered everywhere: a cooldown on monstrous shrine.

Put on sloppy butcher when there's multiple Claudettes so they get to spend even more time on their favourite activity, it's the least you can do.

100 killers playing with theirselves. Because all the survivors deleted the game.
If you think all survivors will quit because they cant do gens with a protection bubble anymore you're delusional. You're also insulting your fellow survivors by implying they all need that level of handholding in order to play.
I don't even have DS unlocked, why exactly would I quit now? About half games I've been in since the announcement have had no obsession, are they all quitting too?

How would the new version help solo queue? You are better off using Alert. Alert is a better perk because the killer can't see you. If I played this game, I would never ever touch this OoO, I would use Alert instead because it is better. However, I don't care where the killer is at. Most decent survivors would have a little sense of where the killer is located.
You proved with your sole survivor example that survivor perks are always a huge detriment to use, in this case everyone else has to die. Just like Power Struggle, the stars have to align perfectly to use it. Killers don't need stars to align perfectly, they can play normally and get value.
It only solves LITERALLY EVERYTHING for killers. And on this forum, that is all that matters.
I too don't run OoO because I don't want to be reminded that there's a killer in the game. Adding killers to a friendly co-op gen repair game was the stupidest decision the devs ever made and it's why their game is dying.
-
Nah go for it
-
I went off on this in ptb feedback but I'll fucken do it again
I assumed the intention was to prevent tunnelling before they confirmed it. Have they ever actually played survivor? Not being given the info has never prevented tunnelling at all, as you only have to focus the hook states of one survivor, which anyone can do. What seeing the individual states might do is prevent accidental tunnelling for those of us who try to avoid it and getting a surprise DS, especially when the survivors all decide to be the same character.
General hook states aren't useful either. If I get a 0k I don't want to know they were all on death hook, that's extra depressing. I don't want it taking up space on the screen at all. If they want to add random crap to the UI make it optional.
They should do that with everything anyway, some people might like this hook counter but most probably don't. A lot would like a totem counter whereas some wouldn't. Some masochists might even want to remove all info for a more immersive feel or for the challenge, introduce a bit of choice into things.

I don't think it is satisfying either way tbh. As someone who plays both sides pretty consistently (rank 1) I see both sides and their concerns.
There is a degree of epicaricacy in these forums, that I would rather not fuel. It doesn't help balancing the game and certainly doesn't make these forums a less toxic place.
Thank you for this word, I'm gonna stuff it into my next essay somehow. The Germans can keep their Schadenfreude
