As a retired billy main i need infectious. Its litrally my favorite perk i cant play without it.
Its Actually decent on pig since i can sneak up on the survivors hiding on the edge of my terror radius
How do you know they are there if they don't scream? And if they scream, don't they leave?
I don't get it...
I can understand the billy part, it's hard to let go of certain perks (STBFL in my case...it was hard to stop using it)

Abusing a glitch, or selling your buddies out.
If you open a closet with another survivor in it, or point towards them during a chase, you're going down. Specially if I know you lied about it.
-
You put the thread in the general discussions part of the forum.
You don't need to put "discussion thread" in the title
-
1 of 2 things happened.
1- your wife disconected more, or maybe someone else playing with the switch. In which case, there's no need to get angry at bhvr.
2- it's a bug. And you should probably consider never buying another game if that's your reaction to a bug, since every game has bugs. It's not like it stole your credit card info or deleted your progress or something serious like that, it's just a 1 hour ban.
-
A 1 second progress bar to properly start working on a gen would be perfect.
It's still short, so it won't really change gen times. But long enough so doing it mid chase is probably a bad idea, but still doable and the killer would lose more time than you by re-kicking it.

Wasn't this like...last year?

"And real quick, if you get potatoes every single game, it probably means you are the potato."
oh yes you're right im the potato on rank 1 with +2K hours who gets 3 useless teammates who get downed after 10 seconds, who dont know how to press M1, how to play optimal. while ME the real potato tries to carry the team and get people out. yes you're right im the potato who does every single game 3-4 gens, yes im the potato who needs to deal with 3man swf who hook bombs and all get slugged after 30 seconds and again ME who needs to run to them to save the game. how couldnt i think about that, that IM the real potato here.
you dont play soloQ do you? because if you really do you would have known how the game goes 90% of the time. Yes you're right dude im the potato.

well you forgot about facecamping, tunneling, slugging killers
also mori using killers OR a killer plays bad and tunnels just one person you have no chance to gain BPs
what about first thinking before commenting ? :)
well BBQ gives you atleast a benefit tell me what benefits WGLF gives you? tell me why someone would ever waste a perk slot for that? and most of the matches you cant got saves because if you rush the hooks nobody does gens and that is every match for me with the potatos i get in my team. now tell me what should i focus on, loopping, doing gens or rushing every hook?
Those are a minority, and when those happen is when I get around 10k bps... so again, are you sitting in a corner?
well BBQ gives you atleast a benefit tell me what benefits WGLF gives you? tell me why someone would ever waste a perk slot for that?
Besides extra bloodpoints? Nothing... but that's a silly question.
Let me rephrase it... "why would anyone use this perk besides the very obvious benefit it provides?"... see? It's silly.
I agree it should have something extra aswell, but can we please NOT pretend it doesn't do anything?
and most of the matches you cant got saves because if you rush the hooks nobody does gens and that is every match for me with the potatos i get in my team.
And if the killer always picks you up unbreakable won't help. And if the survivors always heal you, any healing perk you have is unneeded. And if you only get hooked after everyone is dead, DS is useless, so is deliverence. If you never get injured, dead hard is useless, so is resilience and iron will.
We can play what if all day mate, no perk will be useful 100% of the time, no perk is useless 100% of the time.
now tell me what should i focus on, loopping, doing gens or rushing every hook?
Whatever you'll benefit from the most in the match? This isn't nascar mate, you don't just turn left 4 times, you gotta understand the situation and act accordingly.
And real quick, if you get potatoes every single game, it probably means you are the potato.

Well, it's not what you wrote.
The decrease to Wraith's uncloaking speed, even without windstorm addons he is way slower then what he used to be
He still uncloaks just as fast. The animation just changed
-
You averaged 10k per match as survivor? Are you just sitting in a corner or do you just suicide on hook? This is so little it's insane to consider it a good measure for the average player.
And 70k per killer match? Even with bbq the max is 64k. So you included bbq and an offering for killer, but didn't do the same for survivor?
This is just a troll post right?

Sure, but its just a verifiable fact that halloween ripped off black christmas (ripped off sounds like im putting it down when i dont mean to). It was originally going to be a sequel and carpentar decided to do his own thing. Black christmas didnt rip off tcm, they came out the same year. All im saying is while tcm may have influenced later films, it didnt define slashers. Black Christmas did popularized by halloween.
I don't think I watched black christmas, I think I meant to, but forgot about it.
Halloween is one of my favorites horror movies, so if it ripped off black christmas, I will probably enjoy it.
Maybe "defined" was too strong of a word to use... but TCMs influence on the rest of the genre can't be denied. I'll watch black xmas before commenting on it's influence π.

What? TCM has none of the slasher tropes that became popular outside of the "final girl."
Black Christmas came out the same year as TCM and has all of the tropes of a slasher. Halloween ripped Black Christmas off and brought slashers to the main stream (as it was a little better). Halloween in turn gave birth to the slasher craze and we got F13 and NMOES (along with hundreds of others that copied the format). So if anything, Halloween is the father of Slashers, with Black Christmas being the grandfather and Psycho being the great grandfather.
TCM is more closely related to a grindhouse film than a classic slasher. Dont get me wrong its a dang classic but no, it didnt define slashers.
Killer in a mask, killer doesn't speak, kills "teenagers", final girl, iconic weapon, surprise kills...
I think it has more of the tropes than you give it credit for.
But yes, halloween is the one that made slashers popular.
-
Texas chainsaw massacre is the father of slasher movies.
If you wanna say "created slashers" there are influences from way before psycho.
But TCM is the movie that said "this is what a slasher is".

Because with DH you choose to have a power spike at some random point in the match, potentially quite early, but it can be easily cleansed.
While with NoeD you choose to play with 1 less perk the entire match for a potential power spikr at the end of the match. But it might not even activate.
You can easily replace this question with, "why is inner strenght earned but adrenaline given?" Or something like that... it's pointless, because you already have an opinion formed and just want people to agree with you.

Doesnβt mater in how long you say the same thing. As long as there is a chance it should be given. Your point of wasting more time of everyones (the f...k? Its only the killer) time is absurd. And no. As solo piping can be quite difficult at red ranks.
I have no idea why you think the survivor wouldn't be wasting time aswell. Also, wasting the killers time like this is a dick move. They are people too. I'm sure as a survivor you don't wanna get slugged for 4 minutes, don't do a similar thing to the killers and pretend you have the moral highground.
I only play solo and can't avoid getting into rank 1 before rank reset... it is super easy. As most players will attest to.

Wery rare=possible. Therefore taking away the chance is pointless. And even if you fail you might just got the points for your pip so....
The game is over at that point, why do you wanna waste everyones time with this?
You wanna use deliverence? Then get hooked while someone else is still alive. That's what it's there for, so you can take a hook for your team without needing to be saved by someone else.
The amount of time this would waste is waaaaay too much compared to the tiny chance it might make a difference.
Pipping as survivor is already super easy, there's no need for this.
-
...
Lets picture a scenario where this would apply.
You jump from the hook and... get stabbed.
Because the killer stood next to you waiting for the struggle phase. Because why wouldn't he?
But aha, you have ds... oh wait, the killer is waiting on top of you for a full minute.
But aha again, you have unbreakable. Well, the killer is still right on top of you.
But triple aha, the gates are opened, I can crawl to it. Then you better have ds because the killer will grab you. If you do, congrats, you're the .1% and dedicated at least 2 perks to a very rare situation.

the only thing against candyman is the wording "iconic horror license/franchise" and "marked the world of horror since its inception". Both are not true in the eyes of most horror fans out there for Candyman. So unless they are convinced candyman fits this discription because they feel strongly connected to this character then who are we to say otherwise?
That is very much the opposite. Candyman is very iconic(specially considering who plays him) and has marked the world of horror.
Fans of horror, usually like candyman. It's one of the most well known horror franchises out there.

For me, "viable" means playing and doing well with that Killer depends on my personal skill. No need to depend on luck nor someone else making mistakes. This doesn't mean that the Killer is GOOD or not. A Killer for me can be viable but still weak in the meta. Should still earn wins more often that not, but those wins will need effort in learning and using that Killer's power.
Clown is an example of a non viable Killer. His power does little to help in Survivor location or to end chases. Doing well with Clown often depends on Survivors making mistakes or being unskilled. A great player with the Clown, is still just the Clown.
Deathslinger is an example of a viable Killer. His power allows a Deathslinger to do well based solely on the player controlling him. If you can aim and mind game, odds are you WILL do well. Survivor mistakes help, but aren't needed if the Killer's skill is good enough.
If anyone cares, here is my opinion on viable and non viable Killers and why.
Viable-
Hillbilly. Mobility, one hit downs, and all without any real downsides.
Nurse. Mobility, pure unfiltered mobility that allows a Nurse to bypass ANYTHING in her way.
Hag. Insane amounts of defense. 1/3 to 1/2 of any given map can be controlled by a Hag if allowed.
Huntress. Ranged attacks are simply god tier in melee based games.
Nightmare. Teleporting to gens gives instant mobility and his snares give help in chases.
Spirit. It's 100% her mind game potential. With added mobility.
Plague. Keeping everyone wounded, having the ability to punish cleansing with a ranged attack, and added tracking.
Ghost face. The king of stealth. Never underestimate how good being able to turn off your terror radius and red stain is.
Demogorgon. Tunnels offer map travel plus a time sink for Survivors and Shred has both ranged and mind game potential.
Oni. Slow to start, but some of THE best snowball potential once he gets going.
Deathslinger. A near instant ranged attack and Deep Wound for a forced time sink.
Non viable-
Trapper. Too slow to setup and too dependent on Survivor mistakes.
Wraith. He is basically a M1 Killer that might get a jump on someone with cloak.
Shape. The stealth helps but he takes a long time to build up, can't snowball well, and is a M1 Killer.
Doctor. Anti and negative stealth builds work very well, but he ends up as another M1 Killer.
Cannibal. He is a slower Billy, not much else to say.
Pig. Ambush is near worthless, her stealth slows her down, leaving Pig with depending on M1.
Clown. He has next to nothing to work with.
Legion. GREAT at getting information like Doctor, but Legion must fall back on M1 as his only means to down.
It's so weird to see someone say nightmare instead of freddy :p...
You have a weird bar for viable.
Trapper is like hag but the traps hurt, they both set up and control an area. But I honestly think trapper does it best(the control, not the setup. Hags setup is way better). You herd the survivors to traps, not really dependant on survivor mistakes.(unless you trap random spots for the lols) Also, the best there is at egc, bar none.
Wraith, with bone clapper or soothing bell is incredibly oppressive. + speed addon... it's actually really good. Base is indeed not as good.
Shape..."can't snowball well"... did you seriously say that? He's one of the few killers where snowball is literally built into their base kit.
Doctor, is maybe the best at anti looping. Watch a good doctor play and you'll see. It's insane how little you can do against a good doctor. Pallet dropped or not.
Pig, has real good slow down on her kit. Having stealth is never worse than not having stealth. Certainly could use a buff, but nowhere near almost useless.
Legion, is amazing at keeping people injured. And when people are injured, they go down in one hit.
But really, what's with this "must rely on m1" thing?
You know who must rely on m1? Nurse, spirit, ghost face... literally anyone that isn't billy, oni, plague, demogorgon or bubba. Hell, oni needs to hit someone with m1 to even get his power.
If you wanna say "bad at loops", say "bad at loops".
-

I assume it means camping, and I think a lot of people do. So everyone's best bet is to not do it for any other reason. Although, if you're running kindred, it's a good way to not let the killer know you are if he sits on top of you the first time.
Still, lots of people do it because they're impatient to get unhooked. I've been tempted to let people who try to unhook themselves in front of me when I'm wasting time to save them to just die. π
I always want to wait until they hit stage 2 when they do that.

Make your choice is nice, not only with PIG. If you stay away from Hook, the surv who does the unhook is 1shot.
It's a good perk for Killers that don't 1Shot or slow Killers. And you can unlock the PERK for every killer you have, OFC.
Myc is not good on slow killers. You're slow and there's a lot of ground to cover to hit the unhooker. You might get some, but there are a lot of perks you'll get more use of.
Slow killers=no faster movement option
-
She's one of my favorites.
So to me, yes. Great to play.
@bubba_is_bubba said:
NOT a Killer OP. It can be ok for you if you like:
- strategy
- ambush (same opinion of @DelsKibara )
Her playstyle requires:
- more strategy than standard killers (you cannot spam jigsaw boxes, choose carefully who you apply to and when)
- attention (surveillance and make your choice)
- not tunneling (you have make your choice, dont tunnel, you dont need it, just stay away from hook and the savior is 1shot)
You are not a high mobility Killer so you need to end a chase fast. Not great control map, POP almost necessary.
Funny Killer ? OFC, like all of them.
Why are you using myc on pig?

this is the "in perfect world" scenario 3. but as I mentioned later, we all know this situation happens once in a lifetime, specially on solo queue where lack of information is key. you only discover that the killer is facecamping if you go there check by yourself. if you do that, you will automatically not be doing gens and in a situation of facecamping every second rushing gens is gold.
Or...you know...

It's a perk, it has to take up one of 4 slots making the player give up something else that would help them during the match with the assumption that they will make it to the end. That's why Adrenaline is a high risk, high reward perk. The same case could be made for NOED but killers would consistently run NOED more often because it has no skill requirement. With this buff, a mistake by the survivor could still cost them the escape, they still have to be able to run with a plan(and sometimes no resources e.g. pallets/windows). Now, if it were paired with Adrenaline it would be extremely powerful, but then you have survivors giving up 2 perk slots to have a better edge during endgame. I stated that I do see how 7% may be a little strong, hence the various other options other people(as well as myself) have put up for adoption. The idea is to think outside the box, which clearly you're not hearing me advocate.
It's a perk, it has to take up one of 4 slots making the player give up something else that would help them during the match with the assumption that they will make it to the end.
So, exactly like adrenaline. The meta perk, that swf in special love to use.
With this buff, a mistake by the survivor could still cost them the escape, they still have to be able to run with a plan(and sometimes no resources e.g. pallets/windows)
So if someone plays badly they lose? Oh wow. Didn't think of that.
But I guess the killer can't make mistakes then. After all, if he's not on point for the punish he just won't catch up and have to wait for another mistake
I stated that I do see how 7% may be a little strong, hence the various other options other people(as well as myself) have put up for adoption. The idea is to think outside the box, which clearly you're not hearing me advocate.
IS that so? Let's see...
"What if Hope were active for the remainder of the trial instead of being on a timer? Not only would it make it a good counter to NOED, but it would proc people to think outside the box and steer away from the norm"
All I see is you asking for unlimited time on hope. No negatives, no balance, just op.
And let me be clear on one thing, if hope gets this buff, NOED will be played on every single game, to counter it. Because if they don't use it, they will lose the game the second the last gen pops.
Making this buff counter productive towards your goal.

I feel like the moderators are going to hang me for this but you've backed me into a corner. You're ignorant and closed-minded AF(as you would say). Clearly your skills in this game are not top tier because if they were it would mean you have a better understanding of the games' mechanics and the strategy behind playing(any given) killer. This isn't meant to be disrespectful in any way, it's meant to be honest and accurate.
So... "you don't agree with me, it means you're bad and waaaaaaaa..."?
Also, "you forced me to insult you, it's not because I wanted to" ... "waaaaaaaa..."

It would be absolutely broken AF.
Killers would literally not be able to do anything after the gens get done.
If you don't think a permanent 7% increase in speed is broken, why not make the killers 122%?
7% is not a big deal at all right?

Then there's nothing wrong with making it endless as long as the games aren't endless.
Ask any decent survivor if they are afraid of looping a t1 myers that has a terror radius and a red stain.
Then come back here and say there isn't anything wrong with it.
You know people say you shouldn't chase with Hag right? Why is that? Could it be because she's 110% and catching up to a survivor is insanely hard if they know what they are doing?
Gee...I wonder what the equivalent of a 108% killer could do against such a survivor... nothing at all? Yes, nothing at all.
I wonder if the 103% killers would have a better chance at this...
