Just looking to have some fun with new builds, so any ideas are welcome ones with synergy or just fun are super duper welcome.
I love playing pinhead with the chatterers tooth and the impaling wires and sending myself to lérys. Esp with DMS its quite fun.

Exactly, no one talks about Bill skins. He has his default outfit, his prestige outfit 1 jumper and 1 hat. 8 total pieces.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/318645/bill-the-forgotten-survivor
Secondly: Refer to posts in that thread.
Yeah, i hope they release his rift skin to the shop, i missed two of the pieces.
But still i dont believe you can do them without the license. What the people in this thread are saying, is that giving them away freely is obligatory for obtaining the license due to the opinions of the license holder

I agree Bill does need more skins.
And yes you can do it without the license, you just have to make them free.
Firstly, where does this come from? Nobody was talking about Bill skins?
And secondly, i highly doubt your statement about licensed skins

Yes they are, because game can't be balanced around bad players.
You can perfectly balance around top tier palyers, then just give low mmr buffs until they reach certain rank, it can be done if there is will
What? Game cant be balanced around newbies? Would you please explain a little further, because if i understood you correctly, i strongly disagree.
And second: you are complaining that top survivors are getting long win streaks, while top killers get long win streaks as well. Hiw exactly do you want to balance that, if you say both sides are too strong? The only thing would be making their queues one week long, so they have better matchmaking and that would not be better by any means.
If only one side had the streaks i would agree, but not in this case tbh. They said they will buff SoloQ, and after that there is no argument to not nerf items/buff killers. So i think we are going in the right direction rn.
-
In what world are newer killers too strong tho? I think new killers are (with some exceptions) really well balanced. Esp the ones you mentioned. Artist and wesker are strong, but definitely not too strong. Dredge is, if anything, too weak.
Reworks are not really necessary imo, maybe legion, but i think buffs like they did with clown or GF are better for most.

We did not get the same treatment. Killers did not get any meta perks basekit at all, the game objectives and chases got reworked and balanced.
Why do you think that if survivors got two perks basekit, killers need these as well? What counts is not WHICH changes each side gets. You dont have to give both sides the same treatment, as long as both sides get the same results out of their unique treatment. Killers got an overall buff, thus raising the killrate to 60%. Survivors got two perks basekit. That is a way better thing to do to balance the game.
Think about it like this: if you give survivors two strong perks basekit, and then retrospectively killers two strong perks basekit, did you rebalance anything? No, you just buffed both sides by the same amount, so the game has the exact same problem as before. But if you give both sides something unique, you can adjust their strenght independantly.
Its like saying: oh, but killers have a special power, when do survivors get one?
-
I dont think that playstyle is unfun to play against. I dont know what sadakos you go against, but if i get a match like this, i adapt my playstyle and its still fun.
Its like playing against legion and dont understand her, you wont have fun, bc you keep wasting your meskits and after you finished healing you get injured again. But once you learn to adapt, its quite fun to play against legion.
Try some new things against these sasakos, maybe something works for you.
-
I don't understand this either. Bc people who dc when they see this usually say things like "i get starstruck nurse every second match" or such. Like, then don't play the game. If 50% of your matches youre not having fun with, why u still here? Youre not only having a bad time yourself, but by dcing or killing yourself you give others that would enjoy the match otherwisely a bad match as well.
(Also its an elementary school, not a high school)
-
I don't think the problem lies in Pinheads synergy with franklins, i think the problem is the discrepancy between SWF and SoloQ. As swf, it's perfectly fine. The one closest to the box spawn gets it. No big deal. But in soloQ it's hell. You have to go, because otherwise there might be noone going for it. But then it might happen that everybody wasted their time running across the map. More info for SoloQ would solve the problem imo.
-
I usually don't miss at all, or at least almost. Only in matches that really make me angry (which to my luck rarely happens). But in these matches I miss quite a lot. Really gotta work on that.
-
It really differs. Sometimes every day, sometimes only a couple times a month. Just whenever I wanna hate my life because of some stupidity here.
-
I don't think it's that bad. Onld RPD wasn't that bad either, just a little big. But the new one is fairly reasonable, if maybe thr amount of pallets is reduced, or some loops are beong looked at.

It’s the feeling of unfairness many killers get from second chance perks almost like you’ve been cheated out of a killer because someone brought a perk in instead of outskilling you.
Many killer players feel that as the “power role” they should naturally win most matches when it really shouldn’t be like that in practise
Bro what?
I'm sorry, not supposed to be rude, but i've never heard that anybody thinks a Killer should win most of his matches, because Killer is the power role.
The point is, that with DS and OTR in EGC there is absolutely NOTHING you can do as Killer. If you hit the unhooked Survivor, they DS you, and everyone else is healthy. That even encourages tunneling early on, so DS isn't there later in the game, and if the survivor had no DS, they were screwed.
Now, survivors have a fair chance of escaping, while it's not free.
The person starting this discussion got a fair point tbh, that disabling DS and OTR in EGC hits soloq harder than SWF, but that has nothing to do with Killer mains wanting to win all there games because of a superiority complex.
(In case you're wondering: no, i'm not a Killer main, i play both roles the same amount. But i don't have a problem with DS and OTR disabling in EGC because i don't use these. A way bigger problem is the 3 sec stun, which is not enough)
-
There are some peopke i really can't tell if matchmaking messed up completely and put me a game with a god ir if they are cheaters. But there is one match in particular i remember very vividly. I played as pinhead, and they did some stuff that's obviously cheating. Like, 3 people were around me, and only 1 person not in my sight, suddenly 3 gens pop at once. Or i downed somebody, and suddenly every hook on the map is destroyed. Then they flashlight saved someone by blinding me trought the wall. They healed themselves in like half a second, i think they even had wall hacks, because it was impossible to mindgame them at a gym or so etc. etc. All things considered, it was the most horrible match i ever had.
-
I honestly like every killer. But if i hadto chose, i'd say legion ig.

@GlamourousLeviathan said:
I am not kidding when I say that it is probably the third time this week that I had to leave a survivor to bleed for 4 minutes because the only hook on a certain area got destroyed after a survivor died on it.
Like, what is even the point of that mechanic? From my experience, it never gave survivors an advantage since on most cases I can just let them die on the floor which is just a meaningless waste of time.
Also, it makes maps with already bad hook placements (Midwich, RPD, Temple of Purgation and Family Residence) even more bad in that aspect, since if you destroy the only hook on a certain area it makes that whole area a dead zone.
IMO that mechanic needs to go, since it isn't really much useful for both sides and encourages survivors wasting the killer's time.
You can argue that this can be useful to counter scourge hooks, but this mechanic was in the game even before Pinhead.
Edit: One common suggestion is to make it so hooks still get destroyed, but respawn after some time. Seems like a fair enough idea to be honest, since it would please both sides of the discussion to some extent.
I don't think i ever had a problem with this mechanic and i've never seen anybody have a problem with it. I happens to me maybe once a week that someone is able to struggle free on midwich because of a destroyed hook, bu that's completely fine imo. But on most maps this doesn't even change anything, so i really don't see a problem with this mechanic.
Also i dont see why you would have to let them bleed out? Because if it's not the last survivor you can't let them on the ground until they bleed out because they're gonna be picked up, unless you camp them while they are downed. And if it's the last survivor, what are they gonna do? You have 2 options. You try to reach a hook, and if they struggle free, they have a chance of getting the hatch, which i don't mind, quite contrary, i give the last surv the hatch as often as i can. And if you rather want the 4k, you can leave them on thw ground, go close the hatch, and then pick them up. Only if you then don't find them, they'll bleed out, and then it's their own fault.

I've seen a theory that each game session you get assigned a pool of maps that you can end up on, which would explain why sometimes you get the same exact map multiple times in one session.
That seems VERY unlikely to me, as there are 5 people per match, so matchmakimg would not only have to look for players with your MMR but they would also have to have at least one map from their map pool in common. That does not make any sense imo.

No it is just very much buggy. I have played Nemesis, in fact I played him A LOT when his chapter came out and his tentacle strike is one of the most inconsistent, and poorly implemented killer powers IMO.
Sometimes the animation doesn't play and I'm getting hit by thin air. Sometimes I get hit when he very clearly missed. Sometimes I don't get hit when the tentacle went right through me. Sometimes the animation plays twice and his arm like weirdly jerks forward.
These are just some examples I found online (they aren't mine):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvMGKS5eGtc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkh-9UiGJj0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryqDWhWMed8
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/w1C-Dk2rpCE
TL;DR His power is a mess.
I've never seen this, neither as not against Nemesis. So i can't really tell you what this is. I just know that i've never encountered that.

You shouldn't care, the devs should care and finally nerf such an unfun and skillless strategy.
I don't know any other online vs game that has such unhealthy, unfun and skillless strategies to be so effective like tunneling and camping are.
Oh, i know games with similarly unfun mechanics. But that should go in the off-topic area lol.
-
Oh god, finally some normal people. At first i thought this might be sarcasm, so i prepared for more pain reading a stupid post, but then i realized you actually mean what you say. Thank you for being normal.

@OnryosTapeRentals said:
No idea but I'm sick of seeing him tbh.
His tentacle strike is so buggy. Worse than Huntress' hitboxes at times istg.
It's not buggy. You can "drag" the tentacle after using it. I know it looks like it's buggy but it's not. Try playing Nemi and you'll see how it works. Saying his tentacle is buggy is saying Billy is buggy because you can curve. These aren't bugs, these are tecs that make the killer fun, even if they were not intentionally coded (at least i assume) they should stay. Billys curves should, and so should Nemis tentacle drag.
-
All of them tbh... i know, weird...

So first, i do think they make fun stuff, being the killers powers, but i thinl i know what you mean. The problem is not that the devs are too scared to do these things, it's more like there are certain individuals in this community that would not stop crying until we either rip of our ears or the devs revert their fun implementation.

It's literally a lotery. Sometimes you can't even write "gg"
-
No, she does not need a nerf. End of the discussion.
In case anyone wonders: no, i'm not a nurse main. I play both sides equally, and as killer only rarely nurse. She is fun to play against and fun to play as. The end.

Right now my build is: NOED, bloodwarden, Discordance and franklins demise. Any tips?
Blood Warden triggers on hook. As Pyramid Head you will cage instead of hook often.
Similar for Franklin's. Many times you will use your Special Attack instead of Basic Attack, which won't trigger Franklin's.
I don't really recommend NOED, as it gives you a bad habit of getting more kills than you should. If you switch out NOED once, you'll hate your life.
Discordance is very viable. Great choice.
I can HIGHLY recommend I'm all Ears from Ghosty. It helps you a lot to get through-the-wall hits during chase.
Deadlock is always good for gen slowdown.
But i also recommend you to not use one loadout all the time, but rather change your loudout for every match and take a mixture of good perks that'll help you, and dumb perks that are fun, like Coup the Grâce.
-
No, it's not a problem. End of the story.

@not_Queef said:
NOED would be fine if it applied the Exposed status effect correctly, but for some reason killers love to defend inconsistent game design when it gives them an advantage.
Ah, sure, but survivors don't?
Also i don't know what you mean by incorrectly applied exposed? In case you mean that you get the notification of being exposed once the first person got hit by it, that is on purpose.
-
Tbh none. I enjoy playing as and against each killer.

@AnotherJacob said:
Ok, not a Hex anymore. Instead will deactivate after first use like DS.
Is that sarcasm? Because i honestly don't understand how that would work, as it's not something that has a 'first use' but is something in use all the time.
I would rather say, make it a non-hex perk, as it now deactivates after your first down or hook, i'm not sure. That is enough of a downside imo

I used to blame Dc'ers. When I played in Swf's, I would instantly stop talking to a teammate if they ever quit mid-match and remove them as a friend. They would complain that the game was now too killer-sided with the new update and I would just pass this off as whining and bad sportsmanship.
Problem is, survivors are DC'ing for a reason. The latest update was hard on survivors. It actively sought to make the game more boring for them by increasing generator time.
It doesn't make sense to blame people for not doing generators when generator time has increased. It doesn't make sense to blame solo queue teammates when survivor perks have been nerfed. It doesn't make sense to blame people for quitting when the game has become completely unplayable and not fun at all for them.
First things first. You said it's bad that survivor perks have been nerfed. Killer perks have been nerfed as well bro. It's not like there are no valid survivor perks anymore but killer perks are op. The strongest perk in the game right now is arguably on survivor side with Off the Record.
And second: why is it stupid to blame DCers? Nobody blames you, if you don't have fun playing survivor right now. I can't understand you, but i won't blame you. But then don't start a game and DC. Just don't play the game, or play killer oe whatever. Because DCing ruins the game for people still having fun.
-
@Carnivorone said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3118281#Comment_3118281
And why don't people enjoy the role? Might it not have something to do with the fact that the latest update made the game worse for survivors? The game took the most boring part and amplified it?
No, not really. First, most survivors still enjoy the role. Second, the 'most boring part' of the game as you called it was increased by 50 seconds. Now considered that you will pretty much never will do all gens alone, means, that it's maybe 25 seconds more gen time. Now, also consider working on a gen with someone else, using a toolbox or using PT, etc. Now it's maybe 15 seconds more you will sit on a gen.
And for the people saying survivor is unplayable... i still have a lot of fun. Killers have been buffed a little, that's not the end if the world.

That’s so far into the past though. nowadays the devs would never buff killers. Try to stay up-to-day smh
What? First, since when is the recent mid-chapter *far* in the past? And second, they might not buff killer overall since the patch, because they literally just did that, but that doesn't mean they won't buff killers individually.

Anyone else having the issue with the survivors not screaming when dragons grip activate? I've been having this issue a lot today and just wanna see if anyone else is.
Actually ran it today and had no problem. It is infruriatingly bad imo, especially as you don't see how long the survivor is exposed, but there are no bugs, at least i havn't seen any. Depending on how often that happens to you, i'd say they might use calm spirit as perk? Maybe check the endgame screen the next time this happens to you. If they do not have calm spirit, it's a bug you should report.

I have equal fun with both roles and play on pc. My surv main is Meg. For killer, i play every killer regularily, but my main is pinhead

Yes, you have to either prestige once or buy the perk in the shrine to get in in other bloodwebs, with the advantage, that you know imediatly unlock tier 1 of them on all your characters by doing the above mentioned.
And no, it's bot prestige 12, it's prestige 4, 5, 6 you get the bloody cosmetics.

After how much I've enjoyed these last several new Killers, I hold high hopes and expectations. I'm easy to please (I know. I mean it's possible that Wesker is gonna have a power where he can THROW, INSTA-PICKUP and even DIVE through windows. Cmon. Let's be a little bit more optimistic and grateful, eh? At least try?
Bro. I thought i'm the only one in this forum. But there are MORE. I enjoy playing as and against every killer, and i think weskers power sounds insanely fun. So good to find someone in this forum not complaining about everything. Can i marry you?

The game is actually really good. It's not like BHVR made Hooked on you, because they wanted to sexualise DbD, but the community wanted a dating sim, so they gave us one. And like i said, it's a really good one. The game doen't take itself serious, and neither should you. The amount of self-irony in Hooked on you is so insane, but it is absolutely amazing. The dialogs are nothing but hilarious and the characters are perfekt. They are not supposed to be likable for everybody, but they have their own personality. I for my part, think Trapper and Trickster are really annoying, but not in a sense of bad character design, but in a sense of, they are supposed to be annoying. It never feels bruteforced or anything, it is just a game to have some fun, and it does this perfectly.
If you don't like it, ignore it.
-
I personally am one of the weird people enjoying every killer to play as and against. But the killer i have the most fun playing as is pinhead. His gameplay is very different every match, as his power has so many aspects. Also he feels rewarding and has cool techs. Plus, he is a little learny, but not a lot. AND, as if that's not enough yet, his addons allow for a lot of variety.
-
I did not vote as first, i play killer and survivor equally, and second, i don't think hexes in general need a buff, but more somr of them need a buff.
But what they need is, a mechanic, that prevents spawning a survivor next to a hex totem. They could do it like pinheads box. Before the matcg starts, the game looks as the survivor spawns it chose, and then it creates a hex at totems, far from these spawns.
