I don't think I need a whole post warning me not to directly insult a dev's physical appearance on the stream.
Chris Redfield is not a dev, it's a fictional character. A playable character in Dead By Daylight.

This sounds like less of an alert and more of just you talking about your ban.
It sucks, but tone is difficult on the internet - it's not very clear without knowing someone whether they're being silly, sarcastic, or just rude - and stream mods are famously low-tolerance due to the number of people that come in and shitpost. They don't have time to investigate with the number of posts they need to hammer.
I hope you can appeal, but this probably isn't the way to do it.
Please tell me how I can appeal, and I'll be really grateful to you.

BHVR: "we disabled DS during endgame because there's nothing the killer can do".
Meanwhile, a survivor being camped in the basement: "........."
1) I agree that killers should NOT be able to use their powers when near the hooked survivor
2) Insidious should get reworked or removed, people mostly use it to insidiously camp
3) Hook grabs should GO! Killers should NOT be able to grab survivors who are attempting an unhook. This just strengthens camping.
-
Tombstone addons and the perma tier 3 addons are BS and need to go. Bubba and Hillbilly at least need to use some skill to insta-down you, but perma tier 3 Myers has increased speed and can just M1. No skill needed. Tombstone kills are just unfair and unfun. No counterplay, unless the survivors are really experienced and can guess he has a tombstone addon.

I was just gonna report the same issue. This sucks when I want to decide what piece to buy, 'cause I wanna see how it matches what I have currently equipped.

7/27 This is STILL bugged. Please fix it.

For those who haven't seen the poll, these are the sets that we need to choose from. First row is set A, second row is set B. All of these cosmetics would be sooo good in the game. 🥺
-
BHVR please give us all of the cosmetics, we'll give you money. <3 I prefer the set A (which will win, it seems), but I love the Hillbilly and Yun-Jin outfits from set B. They deserve to get those cosmetics! Especially Billy will be so adorable. :) <3

Maybe that's why they're asking? Because they intend to buy a couple of outfits over a few months because they like them but can't put the money down right away.
Exactly! I don't want to strain myself with buying 3 outfits right off the bat, if I can space it out.
-
Devs, I want an answer. We pay you money for these skins.
-
Bump! This is still bugged.
-
I'm asking about whether there's a time frame for the charms.
-
I hope a dev can answer, so we can be sure. :|

BHVR your chat censorship is atrociously bad, please remove it or give us the option to turn it off for ourselves. Ir censors words like "you", "sadge", "claudette", "adam" and many other common innocent words. It just frustrates players, especially when we want to say "you did a great job", the entire sentence is censored, it's so stupid.
-
PLEASE BHVR silence the sounds for missed wiggle skill checks after the first couple of skill checks. When the killer is taking us to hatch/hook, it's so annoying to listen to. We either have to tab out, take out headphones off, or endure the constant pecking at our brains.
-
Yeah, these skill checks are not about a player's skill or planning. They are simply just random and unfair. There is no way to counter them, and they can turn the match quite a lot in the favor of the killer, even cost you the entire match. Overcharge already deals with this successfully, the should be easily fixable!!

Have you considered you are just not that good at mindgaming/facing Nurses? I don't know why the baseline assumption is you are doing good at it. Because if you actually look at good players facing good Nurses, they do just fine.
Because I've seen streamers who are REALLY good as survivors, and they still fail against good Nurses. Also, a player playing as survivor should NOT be required to be an insanely good top 1% survivor to be able to handle a really good Nurse. She's broken af, just like Spirit used to be. Spirit rightfully got nerfed, and it's time for OP Nurses to kick the bucket as well. A LOT of people are complaining, sick and tired of Nurses, BHVR will have to do something, it's inevitable.
-
The Nurse definitely needs nerfs or even a rework.BHVR don't just look at the stats and think "oh, the average number of kills is this, she's fine". NO she ISN'T. There is nothing you can do against good Nurses. Any juke I try does nothing. Breaking the line of sight does nothing either. Now add do that Starstruck, Infectious Fright and range addons (or 1 range and other blink recharge). She gets a fast, easy 4K.... or decides to slug the whole team for 4 minutes 'cause that gets the player playing her off.
Her being hard to pick up for new players (although that's debatable) should not justify ignoring how good Nurse players are too strong. Recently I managed to pallet stun a Nurse mid-blink, and yet she caught up to me within a few seconds! Because she had a blink recharge addon. And also because you removed the fatigue on stuns. ######### am I supposed to do??
I also know a few streamers who are just fed up with going against Nurses, 'cause it's always the same sh*t. Starstruck, BBQ, Pain Res, Infectious Fright, Deadman's Switch, range and blink recharge addons.

You guys presented some awesome ideas. I too understand that designing a bunch of cosmetics for us who P3-ed before this midchapter goes live would take so many resorces, but.... Taking existing default or bloody cosmetics, and changing the blood color, or just adding some shiny parts (like the original legacy, but instead of golden/lava you add blue or red or something) would be so satisfying. It shouldn't take too long to modify the default (or bloody) outfits, especially since only the original characters would be getting them anyway.
I think this would be the fairest reward. Free BP or shards would also feel extremely lazy and cheap to me. The currency gets spent, and then what do you have left? Nothing. The cosmetics are the only reward that would feel satisfying.
Heck, even if you don't want to modify the whole default/bloody cosmetics (I don't see why adding a bit of colored particles would take too much time to begin with though), give us at least something! For example, just torso cosmetics! The default torso piece with colored particles. Surely, I think we deserve full outfits, since we grinded MUCH more than the 2016 grinders, but even just special modified torsos would be something.
The current glowing overlay on the characters' portraits just shows how little you value your commited players. (who have spent a lot of money on DLCs and cosmetics btw!!)
-
I love the map offerings. I often crave a certan map and want to go there for fun and enjoyment. I absolutely love Midwich and Dead Dawg as both roles.
I think that instead of removing map offerings (which can be really fun when not abused), these steps need to be taken:
1) balance unbalanced maps! no more killer-sided and survivor-sided maps. Make them all okay for both sides, like Coal Tower is.
2) F-ing nerf Nurse already
-
P.S. Have I mentioned that you would make a ton of money ? ;) Summer is still on~~

@Mandy said:
Legacy cosmetics were given out at a time where the bloodwebs were massive, where you didn't make so many points per match, where there were no 100% BP offerings or Events etc. So it was a lot harder to reach Prestige during that time, especially as the game had only been out a few months.
Legacy cosmetics will not be returning.
Those people grinded for a few months. I've grinded for a few years , and some people even for several years to get everyone to P3, and even maxed out. This year and especially the last few months I grinded insanely much. So by your (BHVR) standard, a few months of grind deserves awesome rewards that others can see, but a few years of grind deserves not more than ugly portraits filter that no-one beside you can see, and you yourself doesn't wanna see it either 'cause it's ugly?
BHVR, how does this make any sense??
-
I agree about the charms. There's too many pages of them. The common ones are especially just cluttering the space, since there are groups of 4 or 5 same ones, that only look a bit different from each other. And now prestige 7, 8 and 9 rewards are gonna be a bunch of same looking charms (perk charms), since it's hard to distinguish among them from distance.
I too love the cool unique charms, keep up with them! But the samey ones are just cluttering the inventory. I'd also rather have another cosmetic instead of those common charms.

@KweenPlease said:
Do I want the shirtless cosmetics? YES.
HOWEVER. I feel like I'd be let down because did you see that speedo Felix the fans made?
BHVR keeps giving us open shirt Felix and I am greatful but I am NOT 100% confident in their ability because his chest hair looks WEIRD.
Which is odd to me because I think it was the Pinhead chapter where in the trailer they spent 567 hrs on Dwight's glistening arm hair?
Yeah... I agree that his chest hair looks a bit weird. It's too centered around the middle vertical, and it doesn't look blonde, even though he is blonde. The fanmade speedo shirtless Felix is amazing.
-
Summer is the perfect time for shirtless cosmetics, so don't wait for too long :)
-
exactly! this would help a lot of people who only play one side.
-
BHVR, please let us know <3
-
1) camping Bubba without any counter .... seriously, disable his chainsaw while he's x meters around the hook
2) Nurse - she desperately needs nerfs
3) Blight - he and at least 1 of his addons need nerfs
-
YES!! I agree. Please remove hook grabs completely! I'd say even on injured survivors, 'cause M1 will down them anyway. Hook grabs just encourage camping, and you (BHVR) said that you wanted to reduce camping.
-
They nerfed DS so killers would have higher kill rates.... But this will be a nightmare for us who get tunneled for no reason. 3 second stun is giving killers a green light to pursue to survivor who DS-ed them, because the recovery is so fast, so why the hell not? And yeah, replacing DS with OTR is not a solution.
-
I don't feel like Otzdarva is biased. In fact, he takes into consideration how certain changes will influence new players as well. He has a ton of experience and insights into the game, far more than most of us do. I feel like his opinions come from his extensive knowledge, experience and testing. A lot of us on the forum talk from our personal preference. I don't agree with everything he says, but I feel like he knows the game much better than me, and he's a golden mine for feedback on the health of this game.
-
CoH with the new Botany is gonna be a HUGE problem. You unnecessarily nerfed Self-Care (only self-use), but buffed CoH (everyone can benefit from it) through the Botany Knowledge buff..... Whyy.....?
-
BHVR needs to make ALL survivors **equally loud** . Having Ace super quiet, and Ash, Jeff and Bill really loud is ridiculous. Their volumes need to be the same. Some people don't play Ash etc. just because of how loud they are.
-
Even if Self-Care has been one of the most used perks, it doesn't mean that it deserves a ridiculous nerf that it's getting. Sure, remove the medkit efficiency bonus, but keep Self-Care at 50% healing speed. 35% makes it horrible, basically unusable. A good way to nerf a popular perk is definitely not to make it horrible to use.
-
Yeah, the P3 rewards are garbage imo. The amount of grind I did just to get everyone to P3 has been insane.
-
Removing the bloodpoint bonuses from BBQ and WGLF was one of the best things they did.
As I mentioned above, I forced myself to run BBQ on every killer and in every match, 'cause otherwise I was missing out on bloodpoints (and the grind has been horrible). I (and many others) are now free to play with different builds that don't use BBQ. (hello fun builds!)
Also, people with WGLF would often unhook right in front of the killer while using BT, or even take stupid unnecessary hits just to get WGLF stacks. The former would usually result in tunneling the unhooked person, and the latter in the WGLF person getting downed easily. Survivors would really do stupid sh*t for those stacks. Good riddance to that!
And, if there will be a need for more BP income, then it should not come from these 2 perks (and obligation to always use them!), it should come from either buffing the BP gain in general, or reducing the cost of things in bloodwebs. Of course, the grind has been reduced significantly, so whether there's a need for BP gain buff is yet to be seen. We can only speculate right now.
-
Yeah, self-care was in fine spot, imo. Not OP, not horrible (unless you're a new player who self-cares in a corner each time you're injured). Buffing it would have made it potentially broken, but also, nerfing it made it unusable.
-
@GoshJosh said:
This, among some of the other perk nerfs, is a clear example of why just destroying meta/commonly used perks is not a good idea. Now there is no reason to run Self-Care at all, over any other healing option in the game. Just because we want better perk options, doesn't mean we want our beloved perks annihilated. Just run a medkit, honestly. Especially with buffed Botany.
Yeah, they nerfed Self-Care into uselessness, but buffed Botany to the point that it's gonna make beefy medkit builds even stronger. Nothing better than play as killer and have a survivor heal even faster than before with their medkit..... Nice job, BHVR....
-
Changing the stun from 5 seconds to 3 seconds will definitely make it much easier for killers to tunnel, 'cause they recover faster. And we're talking about a perk that already has a really hard to hit skillcheck, which is even impossible to hit on consoles and older PCs due to the poor optimization of the game. DS is about to become pretty useless. It's supposed to prevent tunneling, but in application it fails miserably.
-
In my opinion , it's great that they removed the BP bonuses from BBQ and WGLF. I've been forcing myself to run BBQ in every match just so I don't miss out on BP. It's awful. I wanna be free and try different builds.
To help new players, they should consider something else, something that is not bound to these 2 perks, and thus causing the overuse of them.
-
I am thankful that they're removing the BP bonuses from BBQ, because I've been forcing myself to run BBQ on every killer and every match, just because I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of BP gain when not using it. And I've been dying to try different builds that do not use BBQ. Removing the BP gain is like they removed shackles from me. Freedom. If there's a need for better BP gain, they should do it in general, not through a single perk (or 2, if you count WGLF).
-
Ruin is gonna be too weak now.... Did the devs forget how often the Ruin totem gets found and cleansed within the first 60 seconds of the game?
-
In my opinion, this perk is trash, and needs to be completely reworked. Why would anyone ever use this perk? it's not fun, not really helpful either, unless you're babysitting a friend on a gen, who just started playing DBD. Really not worth it imo.
-
It's also very hard to see anything inside the house, so you really have to strain your eyes to see where the scratch marks lead.
-
P.S. Just gonna add that the devs do encourage tunneling and camping. DS is unreliable against tunneling. Bubba facecamping has no real counter. Hook grabs are still a thing, for some bizarre reason. Maybe they encourage it because killers complain against SWFs. Strong SWFs can deal with this, I guess. But solo queue and casual SWFs perish against this. But again, that's how the devs of this game do it. Bandaid solution to strong SWFs is to have DS unusable for a portion of players, have Bubba facecamp without any antimeasure, make it so the killer can grab survivors while they're unhooking.
Welp
-
Yeah... I don't think that the way to keep the usage of DS smaller is to have it unusable for a portion of players. That's like removing the color-blind options as a way to nerf killers (since a portion of killers won't be able to see scratch marks). It doesn't really feel like a solution.
If the perk is too strong, it needs nerfs. I get the appeal of the skill involved in hitting the hard skill check, but then you should optimize your game more, so it doesn't get laggy on lower end PCs and consoles. Missing the skill check deactivating DS for the rest of the match feels bad. It's like you're saying, "we don't see tunneling as a big issue. if you can't hit the skill check the 1st time, we'll make sure to make it easier for the killer to eliminate you after your 2nd unhook by not even giving you a chance to hit the skill check again".
With the old DS, the skill check made sense. You could escape the killer without even being hooked once. Even with the later DS, where you could still heal and do gens and keep the DS. Now it's different.
Yeah anyway, I don't think the devs are gonna do anything, this thread got too little of a response from players. They'd only do something if they got lynched by mobs on social media 😂
I'm out~

I love map offerings, 'cause often I crave a certain map (just for fun), and use the offering. Sometimes I naturally get a certain map too many times in a row and want to use a map offering to get something different. I feel like the problem is some maps being so unbalanced that either the survivors or the killer abuse it. I think that the solution is to balance "broken" maps so that they do not provide any side a great advantage.
