Tunneling is not fun for survivors. In order to combat it, parts of the core gameplay would need to be changed. Basically bringing back old DS is not the way to do it. It wouldn't counter killers slugging to avoid getting DS'd but would actually amplify the problem. It would punish killers who are tunneling and killers who are trying to play fair. It punishing killers just for doing what they're supposed to do would frustrate casual players and discourage them from playing the game. Who wants to get punished for winning the chase? That's a horrible gameplay mechanic.
DS that activates after a hook and has no timer has two counters: camping a survivor on their first hook and slugging. Those are two of the things survivors hate most, so creating a perk where those are the only two counters would be extremely unhealthy for the game. It would promote toxic behavior on both sides.
I don't want to play survivor and get camped or slugged just because someone else equipped DS. I don't think a perk that would cause an increase in two of the least fun things for survivors is a good idea.
Winning the chase? the chases are meant to be finished thats why most of them have 115% speed, if someone slugs there should be a penalization, like camping or tunnelling.
Dont forget there are also casual survivors and Im pretty sure they dont like to get hooked 3 times in a row because some clown think its funny while having other 3 players to chase.
Also Im not a DS user but when I play with a skilled friend he uses it and gets downed again in less than a minute so is not a big deal.
But devs need to make something about the tunneling, if you have 4 players and you pick on the same more than once you should have punishments.
Killers have BBQ, state of the survs, notifications someone gets unhooked/fast vault to a locker/fails a skill check/drops a pallet and other things.
Pretend they are victims is too much, specially with the BP they make per game, also their daily rituals are a joke, chase someone, hit 4 times a surv, while a surv has to open an exit gate and nobody can guarantee you that you will get there in a match, escape with a new item and other things to get less BP.
But as I said solutions are up to devs.

IM SURVIVOR MAIN AND YOU HAVE TO THE DANCE FOR ME STUPID KILLER.
Whats this giant straw man?

Low level survivors have the option to choose to play SWF. Low level killers do not have an option to not play vs SWF.
How about we revert to the old match making with one change...Killers from rank 20 - 13 are given the option to choose not to be matched against SWF.
What for? when I play with friends the killer kicks us out of his lobby, are you saying it wasnt his intention to take us out of his game?

One survivor was not meant to be able to keep a killer in a chase long enough for three generators to pop. Elsewhere on this forum people have been discussing that bad map design allowing chases to go on too long is one of the game's biggest problems.
Killers are supposed to be dangerous. Do you really want to go up against a weak killer who can never find you? What fun is a hide and seek game where you never see the killer? Aura perks were added specifically because that's what some matches were, and it wasn't fun for the players.
It's a game. People play to win. DS is frustrating for killers. People don't play video games to be frustrated by unfair mechanics that they have no control over, and that's exactly what a DS without a timer is: it punishes killers for doing their objective and they have no way to counter it. A game shouldn't work that way.
And if DS returns to the old days of not having a timer, you'll be getting slugged a lot, because like I said the killer would have to slug all four survivors because they don't know who specifically is running the perk. You'll disconnect your way right into a ban.
Thats because you have to use your time to put pressure on gens not chasing someone who is buying time for their team mates by distracting you from their objective.
Killers are dangerous, but they have to earn the right by hunting you, not because some cheap wall hack aura is giving them locations and bonus points, and if they are dangerous and Im doing a great stealth job I dont wanna depip because I prefer to avoid danger.
People play to win but this is a party game, not a skill based game like Quake so if they want to compete this is not the right game to do it, also as soon one player dcs the game is terrible unbalanced, I play solo and its pretty common.
As soon I see those slug fests I will DC ban or not, I play to have fun and killers are getting more toxic than ever, some times they want to hook me 3 times in a row and Im not a tbagger flashlight taunt clown.
I still dont get how devs think tunneling like that should not be punishable, you need to hook them 3 times, not one and then slug fest, they are doing it now with the 60 sec, so the old way is the same, they do that and they depip, its so easy.
Or you do a base kit Borrowed Time, Unbreakable combo, the game is like an 80s movie with the young guys and the crazy killer, and in most movies the killer dies in the hands of an 18 year old girl.
Im not proposing to make the killer a joke like the old times, but right now is too killer oriented.

Aura perks don't automatically = win. Survivors can avoid being seen with those. Even if they are seen, good survivors can loop and juke killers.
Chases were not meant to go on as long as they do. Chases need to be shortened, not lengthened, and DS can make a long chase twice as long.
Back in the days of old DS, I would often just slug the obsession rather than deal with the frustration of DS. I slugged them every time I found them. They'd bleed out. If DS activated after one hook and remained active, you'd see a lot of killers one-hooking survivors and then slugging after that. You really want to be left to bleed out for four minutes? Because that's the counter to DS without a timer. Because the obsession is chosen randomly if any survivor equips DS, the killer would have to slug all four survivors and let them bleed out. And they would.
Aura perks help a lot lot, high ranks players rely on it so its a huge advantage, yeah good survivors can loop and juke killers, but why? did the killer earn the right for that wall hack?
If chases were not meant to go long game would be a hooking/unhooking simulator, killers have almost infinite mechanics while survs only run, drop a pallet and vault windows.
If someone is going to do that I would just DC, its a party game not a competitive one, and the slugging is stupid too, it motivates toxic behavior, they should add some kind of base kit Unbreakable to motivate killers to do something.
-
Its terrible for new or casual players you always need to find the middle so both sides get a fair treatment.
I play with my friends on weekends, both are dads and only play the game on friday/sat night so they dont have high ranks or skills, they are rank 12 and 15, Im rank 1 or 2 and I have another friend who is around rank 4.
Its a pretty stupid decision to get them play vs rank 2 killers that hook them so fast that the game becomes an unhook simulator and nothing else because they get so toxic that tunnel them until they disappear, my friends get frustrated and dont want to play anymore.
Im not going to create an alternative account to get a low rank and no perks to end pipping fast and getting the same results, and Im not going to lose real life friends over a videogame.
Current MM situation is frustrating, specially for new players or casuals that play with more experienced friends, punish them and you lose players, you dont need to punish the killer/survs only reach the middle so everyone gets a chance.

A one-time escape? Why? Why should they get that? The killer downed them. The killer earned this hook. If the other survivors work together, they have a chance to stop the killer from hooking the survivor; one survivor alone should not be that strong. DS stopping tunneling is good. DS punishing a killer just because they won the chase? That's bad. That's what old DS used to do, and the majority of people agreed it was way too strong.
Psss, they are wasting a perk slot to use it? why killer should see survs with BBQ? Whispers? Mirror Meyers? Silent Fury? 5 blink Nurses? did they earn the right to use that crapola? not in-game thats for sure.
There is no chance to stop him get real, there are hooks 15 feet away from each other, whats the success rate?
Killers dont win the chase, they are faster and chases are meant to be finished...
-
So Spirit Fury just happens, but DS runs out of time? all that fuss for a one time escape and most times that surv gets tunneled again, also it motivates slugging... that gets old and boring.
-
And then you go to another part of the map, someone uses the available pallet, you go back and its fake...

@HellCatJane said:
That's not a great idea in my opinion, because if you both are injured... one of you is getting slugged while he goes after the other... then mostly likely both of you will be down and re-hooked... the better idea is to have the healthy person take the hit so the injured can get away.
Also, I completely disagree that "tunneling" is because of or "usually" because of a bad teammate doing unsafe unhooks. I would sooner call that... a bad teammate doing unsafe unhook, I don't even get mad at the killer at that point. Like that's completely different to me (and hopefully many others who know the difference between tunnel and unsafe rescues)... Also, some people will legit "tunnel" regardless of injured people nearby. I just played a match we witnessed a tunnel on a person all of us were there. We all took hits even to try to stop it.. we all were injured at the point they got free and we didn't run away, us INJURED survivors continued to try to take hits and body-block, after they were free from the killers grasp, and the killer instead of knocking someone down blatantly ran past to get the one person he desperately wanted.... If he wants you, he will go for you regardless, is my point. (And further, after he downed him he didn't even go after us - we did not leave -... he went to hook him right away... could of easily ended the game most likely but getting that guy was I guess more important?) BT can help be a deterrent, but not always. There is LEGIT tunneling in this game... yes people wrongly call and say "omg i got tunneled", but realistically no they didn't, and there's different versions of what tunneling means to different people. I get it. Tunneling is a thing. That's why its complained about so much and disliked.
Also teammates sandbag. It sucks but it happens. And sometimes it is an accident. If it was ever intentional or considered helping the killer level of actions, that is actually a bannable offense.
And if you are talking about getting unhooked RIGHT away, that can be a counter to a few killer perks. Like make your choice and I think devour hope as well right ? If you can pull off a SAFE save right away it's generally better, I have noticed. (Not that most people can, but if they could).
And in general, if you are stage 1 and the unhook is not safe, I would rather someone try to get me off before I reach stage 2. (regardless of killers proximity etc). And if people were punished for at least trying.... that's just awful... And would be abused by killers and most likely lead to facecamping for free exposes etc.
Big part of the problem is killers have too much info about survivors, like that notification that the yellow hook is now empty so they can go back to punish someone, lets blame devs for giving killers so many toxic options.

Nah, it really isn’t. And obv easily countered by, you know, not farming your teammates.
Its been a really long time since I saw that happening in a game, probably green rank stuff.
Also it makes no sense sometimes you open the exit gates and got to make a quick move to rescue your buddy and then escort him to the gates with other survivors, that would ruin the strategy and punish the ones risking their buns.
If the killer wants to attack the unhooked thats on him, he decides what to do, dont blame survivors.

Thats too much too much, better kick them out of the game too.

Yup. But, tons of people still think that they game is only catered to survivors, which is funny. Playing survivor right now is a huge waste of time when you can play killer and have control over the match and BP gain. Your only real hinder is people that Dc.
Also, hitting rank 1 is easier than before as you get a ton of fresh yellow, green, purple survivors to bully, but you know?? game is survivor oriented.
Was playing one of the last blood hunt games, killer DC´ed and I lost a pip, #########?
-
Exactly, at no point it says go chase a killer so he thinks you are being toxic, this is a devs´ thing and they are not being clear about it, also there is no reward for being stealthy, a ¨survivor¨ in order to survive is going to try to avoid a killer at all costs, specially new players that jump screaming every time they get spotted.
-
@xZeroStrike said:
The pip system may not make much sense in some scenarios like this one, but it works well for the majority of the time.
There are 2 points of view you can have on this: your personal point of view, in which the system is flawed, or the point of view the devs went with: the one that promotes gameplay and interaction.
The system currently works for the second point of view and that's to keep the gameplay fun and add variety in each game. It may not make much sense to escape and depip, but from the view the devs had and how they intended the system to operate, it does.
It's frustrating at times, but imagine if the system would reward simply escaping or simply killing. There would be survivors who do gens and nothing else. It would promote hatch-camping once more. It would encourage killers to bring Ebony Mori's, because all they need to do is kill.
It would make more sense, but it would arguably drain the fun out of the game rather quickly. It'd be unhealthy for the game in the long run, which is why I think the current system, despite its quirks during the occasional round, is a good system that works the way it should.
Thats why they have BBQ, Nurse Calling Whispers and other stuff to find survivors, why would someone on earth want to interact with a toxic Hillbilly or fast killers?
Interaction between survivors is ok, interact with the killer isnt, he has to do something... like try to find survivors, earn his points.
So as a surv in red ranks I have to go to chase a killer because doing gens only I can depip, and I have risks while the killer doesnt, he has the survs ¨interacting¨ with him and no risks, no death and a crapload of points.
Killers are not out of their comfort zones, they rely on BBQ which I find sad.
If you escape you should have a safety pip and thats it, the game has no punishment for tunnelers either or tryhards using OPed addons that are infinite and ruin the game for everyone, like mirror myers, tombstone, silent Spirit, etc.
The whole ¨entity¨ thing is a made up excuse to cover all the nonsense going on, this game is good when there is no toxicity happening, I would tell the ¨entity¨ to fix those out of this world hitboxes, like vaulting a window from the first floor and getting hit from above when you are almost touching the ground.

I totally agree. It seems to be a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I think those things add necessary spice to the game. DBD isn't a competitive game, in the sense that there aren't any real consequences for ranking up or not, so it's not necessary to balance it so that every match is a solid 50/50 going in. It's better in my opinion to aim to make something fun and exciting than something perfectly balanced.
Its not a competitive game, but with those overpowered moris and toxic killers with the EZ, while acting like they are ¨competing¨ in a game they cant die make the whole game stupid and frustrating, nobody wants to wait 3 minutes to get in a game they will die in no time because its fun for the guy using infinite weapons and OPed stuff.
Just to see the same boring animation time after time, they are doing it to get the easy kill while pretending it was fair because if you dont like it ¨blame the devs¨.
Look at this blood hunt event, killers trying to kill survs as fast as possible to make them depip and get only a few BPs.

What terrible thing did I say? I honestly think it's wrong. I play Killer and when I am chasing people, the gens get popped. I'm sorry you've gotten bad teams man, but in my experience and in my opinion you are wrong. The person you first replied to was correct. There shouldn't BE a 1v1 way to beat a Killer as easily as it seems everyone wants. It would not be balanced at all. What? Is the survivor gonna just pull out a gun and shoot the Killer dead next? it's a 1v4 game. The 4 SHOULD NOT equal the 1. That simple. If you don't understand that, I'm sorry.
Gens get popped because you are talking too much time to get them, and there is nothing to do about it, you have 2 different times in the game which are the same, oxymoron?
If you play surv you have to be there 80 seconds which is a lot of time, killer can spot you and leave the chase.
If you play killer and you insist with that chase and the guy is good, you will feel time is short when in fact you have been chasing the guy for 2 minutes (a lot of time)
If you use Ruin you ¨may¨ slow down things a little, you can kick gens you hear working, Corrupt Intervention buys you good time, Overcharge and other things.
Im not saying the other guy is wrong, Im just saying there are more things than 1 guy getting chased and 3 doing gens.
And lots of surprises happening during the game, thats the good thing about the game, the opportunities.

Yeah unfortunately. What you talk about is tunneling though. And they don't have a penalty for that, plus it is stupidly rewarding,
They dont always go after the unhooked, but its still lame and stupid from a gameplay perspective, its like well... if they want to play that game I wont go there, he will die and gens will be done faster while survs depip.
Most of these ¨streamers¨ even tunnel and complain about BT, but man if you are so stupid to do something lame and survs waste one perk slot to save another player, eat it.

Depending on your rank, but as a general rule you don't pip after green ranks if you camp.
Also you don't really score 27k by camping. If you do you won't score many points in sacrifice and deviousness ( unless Bubba).
All in all camping is a silly strategy for both pipping and BP.
The lame strategy is hook, go away for 15 seconds, go back as soon someone is unhooked and down him/her to get a free hook, very little chases and you have 27k.
So its camp in disguise.

Okay, so you use a really stupid argument to counter his eloquent and well thought out post? Good job. Side Note: I've seen 4 BNP teams and I've seen 4 instaheal teams in this Blood hunt alone.... at least 10 times. You really think all of the perks survivors have are balanced? You really think everything is fine? Good job getting 3Ks and 4Ks as Piggy, but that holds no weight in this argument. Also "Get Good" Is not advice. It's barely even a meme anymore. Please, use your intelligence before posting.
All I´ve seen in this blood hunt thing is Nurses, Spirits and Freddys.
5 blink nurses, Spirits with ultra rare silent addons, and you think 4 BNP teams are too much?
4BNP teams are not common at all, and in the long run its just a dumb way to get a depip.
When you say balanced perks I can only use 1 balanced landing and Im out of Dead Hard or Lithe, however Nurse can blink all the time, Adrenaline ¨IF¨ I get there, BT is lame and it should be included in the game without perks to eliminate the stupid tunneling.
So if you cant counter those things with your unlimited addons, perks and no dying then its on you.

The game isn't a 1v1 and succeeding in 1 chase isn't a win. That is why time matters; there's 3 other survivors probably doing generators while you're chasing 1.
Wrong, you can have 1 surv healing other, doing totems, looking for items or hiding.
The 3 other survivors probably doing gens is a fallacy.
-

Not exactly. They implemented emblem penalty for camping, just to make sure you can't get to high ranks playing campy even if you killed 3 survivors.
IDK how they measure camping, but with this blood hunt event all the tryhards hook someone, then go away for 10 seconds and then they are back to get a free hook again, so its still camping but they get like 27k doing crappy games like that and Im pretty sure they Pip.
-
@Regionlock said:
Funniest part about all of this is if the killer is too good, trolling with mori, or your teammates are bad, you are likely to depip as well. Basically, the survivor needs to hope the killer is above average and not sweating with beads/ try hard addons to make up for lack of skill.
The survivor needs to have all sorts of circumstances that need to happen, but the killer just needs a few to play out correctly. There are a few things out of his control like DC, but for the most part he is in control of his PIPS.
The main reason survivors Gen rush is because that truly is the only objective. It's not a survivors job to go couch infron of the killer then proceed to be called a Toxic T-bagger. The killer is suppose to find the survivor and there are plenty of perks to aid in that regard.
For example, when ever I face a wraith, clown or w/e killer, I'm sitting on that gen at the same pace as if it's a Omega Nurse or Bead spirit. Why do I have to hold the killers hand? I already got to hold 3 other survivors hands while I play. You think every unhook is safe? and every survivors unhook on me is a smart play?
It's so rare to get those circumstances where you get a team that plays smart versus for example a spirit/nurse. I've beaten Omega nurses and bead spirits many times only because the RNG graces were on my side for that match. Don't get me wrong the ratio is way in favor of the killer, but it's possible in a few matches, and we take what we can get.
Funny thing is I've depip from playing an Omega Nurse who couldn't find anyone on the map. I don't even think they found anyone the entire match. I had a full closet, corner hugging team ready to troll this Nurse, and not give them any chases. The depip was worth the time invested sitting behind objects, but that match took way too long. This was in Springwood.
Also, a killer is in control of how fast a 4k happens, so don't blame a depip on that. Multiple times I could of ended a game super early, but I let people wiggle. Don't pretend like your not in control of the match.
Pretty much, they can go with mori cut the game in half, use broken killers and you depip, 4 players having a lame game because 1 decided to have ¨fun¨ at the expense of others.
Whats fun? camping and tunneling? this blood hunt event is terrible, all the tryhards taking the game hostage so nobody get points, and then they complain about dc´s.
Game is too killer oriented, they even have BBQ and bonus points, survs are having hard times to get points, and in red ranks if the killer chases you the whole game and you cant do gens its a depip even if you escape.

Once again. SHE IS DISORIENTING YOUR CHARACTER.
Since they can't actually physically disorient the player, they use small 'cheats', like making the sound omni-directional.
Just like how the screen wobbles for people hit by the Clown power; they can't make YOU get drugged, so they fake the effects by changing your screen.
Stop with his 'there's more Survivors' threats bullcrap I've been seeing the past few days. That's the threat of a 12 year old latching onto any reason to get his own way. Grow the hell up.
If anyone quits because they can't hear which direction the huntress is coming from. If they quite over so tiny a detail; Dead By Daylight was not for them. Bye. Have fun elsewhere.
Nope, it wasnt like that before, so there is no disorienting, is she using little bluetooth speakers all over the map to DISORIENT?
Be a man and accept the fact that there are more survivors than killers in this game, grow a huge pair and take the truth.
Its such a little thing sort of catch you from behind like you are some idiot because the game wants to give everything to killers, and then he hooks you, and when someone rescues you and is healing you another surv gets hooked BBQ pops in and you are #########.
Learn to play the game and for the love of god, use your head to search survs intead of that stupid perk everyone uses even in high ranks, makes the game boring, and there is no challenge for a killer if he knows everything already.
-
Its pretty stupid, specially in a game that 2 hits take you down, we are not deaf so we can have a sense of audio direction, killer has BBQ so there is no counter for us, at some point people will get tired of this and will quit the game.
There are more survivors than killers playing, thats a fact.

You clearly don't play at red ranks. A chase that lasts a minute or two can be game-ending; and is honestly not that hard to pull off on the m1 killers if you get a lousy map with an infinite and a ton of safe pallets.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/636214#Comment_636214
The nerfs were pretty needed. Survivors still have a ton of crutches to rely on while killers have 2 (spirit fury and noed). 1 DS is still enough to win the game, 1 unbreakable still enough to win the game, 1 dead hard for distance to another loop enough to end the game, an instaheal can win the game, etc etc. Half the time if you want to use the OP killer items like mori's someone will just dodge the lobby. In the old days survivor was literally god mode with sprint burst on a 32 second cooldown and able to be used in a chase with vacuum pallets.
I play red ranks and its terrible, Spirtis Nurses and Billys everywhere using Ruin, BBQ, Endurance, NOED.
And a few times had very skilled Huntresses, Doctors.
Those guys were top notch, as devs said, if you spend all your time chasing one survivor you are doing something wrong.
Also lots of red ranks survs have like 4000 hours into the game, is not like they played a couple of games and didnt earn the right.
There are very few pallets, and if you wasted them, they wont be there when others could need them.
For example Gas Heaven, behind that huge mile of cars you have 2 gens and only 3 pallets, and once you are there escaping from the bus you need to go almost a mile to turn around those wrecked cars, and then there you dont have any pallets either until the gas station whereabouts.
Sure nerfs were needed, and its good the way it is, killers wont die, wont run out of addons, have bloodlust, a kind of balanced landing, its good.

I think they will never balance this game against high levels. Devs said so clearly in a dev stream: the game is balanced around mainstream players. I agree that balancing the game around high levels should be obvious, but their direction is another one, sadly :(
If you want to give more power to killers (with all the nerfs survs had), the casuals wont have any chance at all, its total unnecessary since this is not a competitive game.
Nobody will play the game, ever.

Only a survivor that never ever plays killer would say that gen rushing isn't an issue. When 60% of the game is over by the time you get your first hook, that's a major issue. Happens way too often, even with unbroken hex ruin in play, killers vs decent survivors are at a ridiculous disadvantage. Additional objectives need to be added.
It seems you never played survivor, what you say is a total fallacy.

Lol, you talk like its a huge game changing perk.
-
Its ok the way it is, also escaping if everyone dies like that means even if you manage to escape, you will depip.
And the killer will depip too.
-
They want a 20 min gen fest to end the game with Noed, Remember Me, Blood Warden.

Meanwhile, survivors have 100000 rewards for failing. Borrowed time, unbreakable, DS, invulnerability after being unhooked, deadhard, etc... Lol
Because they cant attack the killer, do you want them to be able to attack?

Really?
This idea is not a survivor buff, but more of a way to get more players playing this game. Currently deaf players can't get the full potential of this game, so this edition would definitely encourage more deaf players to join the community.
And so what if other players use it? It's not like it gives the average player more information than they currently have because we have ears to sense the killer. Having a vibration wouldn't make it any easier to sense the killer when you can just... ya know... use your ears. Both variations are equal in strength. :)
Yeah, also players who can hear the terror radius are not having any advantage because its mono, so you dont have any direction where its coming the terror, adding a rumble will give a chance to more players to enjoy the game without breaking the core play.

Its a great point, it should be in the game options.

Doctor can mess with your head and you may lose the chance to throw a real pallet down, freddy cant do that.
Lets keep things as they are, please.

So what you're saying when killer kills 3 survivors is not survivors are bad, that's killer is good. And when survivors escape from a killer it's a bad killer, not survivors are good. You do realize that there is no way good killer could allow 4 gens under 5 mins with all survivors alive? Also where did I say that survivors given a free escape via hatch is bad? I just said it's a thing.
So are you saying when a killer kills 3 survivors he is bad, and survivors are bad too?
And when 3 escape killer is good and survivors too?
I have plenty of games, and its a matter of skills so if you cant take down 2 guys and then the end game I dont know what to say.
Also if the survivors are skilled or playing SWF you should aim for 2 kills, if you are lucky 3, but to pretend 4k as the norm is crazy, specially with this 3000 fake gates proposal.

Your wrong but ok
So every killer perk has a counter, but DS hasnt... dont tunnel and thats it, Im not using it but Im seeing all kind of tunnelers everywhere, they think its smart and fair so every time I see the DS I thank god for having a perk that counters lame playing.

Nothing. It's bittersweet victory, that's as much of a victory as black pip without kills as a killer. Bad survivors get rewarded with a free hatch escape/ability to open gates without gens. Bad killers just suck.
Rewarded with a free hatch? it is in some random place and most times the killer close it and the surv has to go to that dumb process opening the gates and 95% of the time loses.
If 3 survivors died the Killer is not that bad, so why you say the surv is bad for having a chance to earn only 2k points?
Survs doing gens and escaping vs a lame killer... bad.
Killer hooking and killing 3 survs, and one (you dont know if he is good or not) has a chance to use the hatch...bad.
You dont want to give any chance to survivors, even if they deserve it.

Survivor's who genrush on that level don't get any rewards either. No points, almost certainly a safety pip. Only an escape, which doesn't even matter as no statistics are kept. Besides this just doesnt happen for the lower ranks and could help with the frustration newer players feel when just starting out as killer.
So because they genrush you want to punish them? for doing their objectives? nobody gets chased in the whole match? nobody heals anyone??? nobody gets hooked????
Thats a bad killer, newer players feel great when they escape, not when they lose with fake exit gates, ruin, noed and stuff like that.

Seems the forums have devolved into "This perk isn't fair" or "This strategy is too hard to counter" or "The game shouldn't allow this" People won't be happy until survivors have nothing. I don't think people realize that you arent supposed to have stuff handed to you. Earn your kills through strategy. Adapt to what people are doing. Apply pressure, be prepared to maybe have a bad game. That's the whole point. My god it's just DBD lol
Problem is they think killers must kill everyone no matter what, and every kind of struggle is unbalanced.

The equivalent of spoiled kid running to his mother pointing, and saying "That guy doesn't play the game the way I want him to. Make him leave me alone during tag mommy. I can't out run him, and it isn't fair".
And half the time it doesn't even matter if you leave them alone anyway. Survivors using DS usually suck so you end up finding them again while going after other Survivors. Then pick them up thinking it's been 60 seconds, and getting stuned anyway.
It should only be 30 seconds max.
Thats you complaining they dont play what you want to play, dont tunnel and deal with it...
Is there any kind of complain about Blood Warden? Thanatophobia? BBQ? Spirit Fury?
