    Hello

While 175.000.000 BP sounds like a lot, it is actually managable.

Lets say you play Killer with BBQ and 100% BPs most of the time, it will take about 2300 games to reach that goal. Lets say you can play 3 Games per hour, we are not even at 800 hours. Double BP Events are not included.

800 hours is not that much for someone who is dedicated enough to get every Char to max with all perks... And those who are not should not reach that anyway (if they would, there would not be a lot to do for those who grind).

I play this game since 7 Months, i got 2 Survivor almost maxed out and most killer have 3-4 pages full of perks. Since this is the case, i will be complete in less the 5 months.

2300 games if you already know how to play, also as you go up in the ranks it gets harder.

Plus some people has a life.

No, what I'm saying is if you're still hooking them why play an objectively slower animation that requires more work for no gain in optimization and shits on the lore built around the kill. At least to consider the actual something works and the reason it works the way it does. If you aren't willing to do that then you're not going to produce any useful ideas to work with.

Because it will be a thing to watch only, you prefer to kill them instead of the third hooking, not something that cuts the game in half for no good reason at all.

You complain about a slow animation but have no problems with a 3 minute game, that thing is just a dumb offering and its going too far.

It should be an animation and a good chunk of bloodpoints, there you have the motivation.

What would give survivors for a red offering? Ask yourself that question and think about seriously. What is it that survivors could be "rewarded" with when burning an ultra rare offering. If you're wanting equal fair then you'd get an offering that prevents you from dying either by the killers hands or dying at all. Now an offering to counter mori offerings is a interesting idea, but it isn't a sound idea. Mori kills aren't super common, but they are super hated by all survivors and a lot of killers have grown to dislike using moris as part of their tactical toolkit as it cripples your emblem score so severely even at cyprus and and ivory.

If the idea is to balance the scales then you either need and ultra rare offering that lets you kill the killer or make it so you can't be killed. Now most asym games like DBD tend to run into huge problems if survivors killing the killer or becoming immune to death is implemented. Friday The 13th is the only game where killing the killer has functionally been balanced as it takes so much setup. It's a true team effort, but this game that would be balance shattering.

Now, you could make an ultra rare offering that keeps survivors from depipping flat out. No matter what, if burned they can only stay where they are or go up. That would solve some of the issues, but then create another where killers will want the same type of pip protection offering.

Mori kills only being animations that happen on third hook is a non starter. The animation isn't a pre-rendered fmv. It happens in real time in engine using the models in their exactly conditions. If someone is hooked the game would then have to make the killer take them off the hook and go through the whole sequence. That is a huge time waste for both sides, with consequences for only one. That's actually worse than not having them at all.

Do you mean in 2020 they cant make animations in real time? please...

Totems are horribly designed imo. If the game is already in your favour they snowball the game uncontrollably to the point where survivors might as well suicide.

If the survivors get a lucky spawn they immediately get destroyed.

They are close to worthless against optimal survivors and screw over like 80% of the population of this game.

They might be worthless vs good survs, but the lit ones at least help casuals so they now its the right one.

its honestly not even about camping. most of the time i put someone on a hook and go off looking for others. when i cant find others i go back to the hook to expecting them to be going for the save which they usually do. Even so you gotta remember killers camp because of survivors altruistic play style. if your going for objectives then a killer camping is making the wrong play and is being punished for it. if your going for the save and the killer is camping he is making the right play and should be rewarded. But with BT he is just being punished even tho he is making the right play.

There is nothing good about camping a hooked guy, so the killer deserves to get punished.

Same with those leatherface noobs that hook, stay still to cancel terror radius and then down the surv who goes to help the hooked guy.

  • This helps killers to get a couple extra hooks even before the game starts...

    Talking about balance...

Dude dont rely on totems, good killers never use them.

Personally, I think a 4K should be an automatic +1 under any circumstances. Same with escaping for survivor. Since those are your primary objectives. The scoring system is kind of build in a way that can sometimes punish you for having too good of a game, while disregarding the fact that you’ve played so well that there is little or no need to do any secondary objectives.

4k without lame tactics and escaping should be +1.

But survs should have incentives to help hooked guys to escape (in the form of bloodpoints), so the game doesnt become selfish and too pip based.

Coop and dull totems doesnt do much really.

  • @Jdsgames said:

Not really, Disconnects are a poor-sportsman ship. You ruin your chance for the team, and deny points for no reason. At this point Ultra Rare and Very Rare addons and offerings for killer should be made common. Spike those DC rates to the point they would actually be punished. Sucks when you spend what 14K roughly for some addons that are one time use and you can't even use em.

What chance? having a way to impede the survs to have a fair game is poor sportmanship, and no, moris are pretty common, a couple weeks ago I played 2 times vs the same killer and he used it both games.

So after that Im gonna DC every time someone is using stuff that nobody asked, I say learn to play and if all 4 escape get better.

A couple minutes ago I had a game vs a lazy clown he did nothing the whole game, as soon I opened the exit he used blood warden and noed, we manage to escape 3, and the other guy paid for the killer´s lame game.

Did everything possible and didnt pip because there were almost no chases, rank system is dumb, unhook 3 gens open door and a little chase and nothing...

Baby clown would probably get one pip doing nothing and hanging us at the end with noed and blood warden.

  • @Jdsgames said:

I mean generally speaking you also depip as the killer so everyone gets to derank!

Well if the killer wants to derank, good for him.

But others want to keep progressing, so dc is totally fine.

  • @SunderMun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/608622#Comment_608622

He only slows progress with add-ons. And it's nowhere near as much as it used to be.

If that's an issue, you can get out of the dream world in multiple ways.

He can't attack any faster than other killers; this makes no sense.

He has teleportation and one kind of traps in any given game. That's not 'at least 4.'

Addons or not, everybody uses pallets or snares so you have 1 there.

Sleep situation every minute, is not like it used to be, so you have 2.

He attacks very fast, his slash is extremely fast, a couple hours ago I pulled a pallet down and he ended up getting hit on my side, so to avoid him I jumped the palled and he hits me again, also he advances a lot during the slash, check out good players like Tru3 and High rank survs cant even loop him, at the same time Tru3 played like a noob vs him, thats 3.

Transportation, 4... and I dont care the ¨5 seconds is a lot¨ sometimes late in the game you dont have pallets or you are in an open zone and there is not much to do.

Now he can hit you in the awake state, 5.

  • @SunderMun said:

Honestly, against survivors that pay attention, the snares do their job incredibly well. No change needed to them at all, imo.

But lol at the person saying he's op; he's not - he's just a solid killer that most haven't gotten the hang of playing against yet.

He is OP, fake pallets or snares, transporting to gens, very fast attack you can throw him a pallet while he is on your side, jump to the other to avoid him and Fred is so fast he can hit you again.

The whole sleep situation, making you slow to do gens, a free thanatophobia.

Most killers have 2 things going on, Freddy has at least 4.

  • In the right hands Freddy is pretty OP, so no.

  • Lol, camper and tunneler.

  • Well, the story of the game says killers and survs are like dead or trapped in the campfire to satisfy the entity, so both are ¨victims¨.

However killers have no cons in this process, and also losing or dying as a surv makes no sense at all because even if you escape you end up in the campfire anyway...

Killers have no consequences in this game, they have almost unlimited chances to get survs and then stuff like NOED of Blood Warden to finish the game, there is no punishment for camping and tunneling, if you camp as a surv crows start making noise around you...

Lets not forget bodyblocking, a sort of balanced landing, break pallets etc.

And survs for being sinners are pretty passive, they never attack the killers, even Freddy was bullied by a kid in The New Nightmare...

  • @Enriro said:

I will do that because salty bad killers main doing topics "Balanced Landing/Decisive Strike/Mettle of Man/Every other survivor perk is OP, bo-ho"

Pretty much, we must be potato survs so they complain we suck.

  • Good post, but I really doubt devs could not care less, they havent fixed lots of dumb stuff yet, hitboxes, getting hit even when you drop the pallet before the attack, etc.

Is it the survivors objective to get downed by the killer? No, so why should you get rewarded for getting downed?

Its not the objective, its something that is gonna happen even if you are extremely careful, guys with 2k hours get downed without looking for it.

Also you dont get any points for being stealthy and evade all kind of contact with the killer, you do 2 gens, 2 unhooks, escape and no pip so that shows us the game forces you to have unnecessary contact to progress in the rank.

So being a shadow is a huge letdown in dbd.

  • @martin27 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/600155#Comment_600155

They can lose there items and add on's but unlike a killer it's not a guarantee. There has been plenty times i've escape with my item at 99% usage.

Also nothing is safe, cleansing totems isn't safe, repairing generators isn't safe and neither is opening the exit games. What's more dangerous cleansing a totem when a killer might injure you or opening a gate where a killer might down you?

I was being sarcastic Martin, what that dude said was pure nonsense, obviously he only plays killer.

  • @martin27 said:

I don't get how all survivors can complain that any killer who use NOED is trash but then complain they got downed by a trash killer. If a survivor get's downed by a trash killer doesn't that make them a trash survivor?

NOED is for when time is not on the killer sides, killers lose add on's after every match while survivors can save their purple toolbox to be reused over and over again.

Why do so many killers use NOED because despite how much survivors complain about NOED they'll never equip small game and take out totems. Yes looking for totems takes time but then you don't have to worry about NOED.

Lastly the best way to not get killed by the killer is not to be found by the killer. If you want to tea bag and loop every killer that's your choice but you can't complain about being downed by a killer when survivors now dare killers to chase them.

So survivors never lose items and addons, fine.

Sure, looking for totems is so ¨safe¨ specially when you must be like 15 seconds in dangerous areas with killers running around, I thought totems were in places nobody could care, but you are right they are very far away from gens...

  • @GhostRoaster29 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/547193#Comment_547193

This is fine, sure. If they're gonna have a great performance all game and then get the final few kills with NOED than they deserve that. HOWEVER, there are people that use NOED as a last resort. They get 1 or 2 hooks the ENTIRE game and end up with a 4k bc of the clutch ass perk. This is the problem with NOED. Most of the time the killer wont even pip from it whats the point of using it?

The point from devs´perspective is to encourage bad players to keep playing (feeling they are great), because in a more realistic situation they will complain its too hard.

So you have noobs using Myers´ Tombstone and laughing you dont even need to get hooked, then Mori and another toxic crap.

    Campers using Blood Warden, etc.

So they feel some kind of nerfing or balance will make killers quit the game...

  • @PolarBear said:

Why is is a problem that a perk rewards bad play on the killer side but not the survivors? Why isn't Decisive Strike not a problem? It rewards survivors for being downed and picked up by the killer. Why isn't Unbreakable not a problem? It lets you get up for free from the dying state after you get downed by the killer.

What you mean? so you think being downed is bad play? do you loop killers for unlimited time and never get downed?

I mean, it's hard to tell what you're talking about half the time because your English isn't the greatest. That's not your fault, it's a global game and your English is probably far better than what I could do in your language, but... posting the same post four times (the last 3 8 hours after the first one... you could have just used the edit post button, dude!) is a little excessive and you do seem to jump topics a lot.

But you do seem to be saying that killers are overpowered and needing a nerf. Is that correct, or am I misunderstanding your posts? And yet if killers manage to guard 3 generators (assuming that's what you mean by Gen Locking, which, assuming they're not just sitting there and doing nothing else the whole game until those 3 nearby are the only ones left, is good strategic gameplay) that it 9 times out of 10 leads to almost all survivors escaping. That seems to suggest that killers aren't OP, they can't even make a successful game (not even a 4k, but killing most of the players) in a situation that favorable. If they can't win in a 3-gen strat, how do you expect them to win if the last 3 generators are spread throughout the map?

Camping is a problem with gameplay, but it's not a problem with being OP and killers shouldn't be balanced around those who camp (except to a very limited level with ideally making a killer's perks and powers not reward it)

Thats because the stupid page doesnt work on firefox, and a mod told me to threat you like a queen because it was probably hurting your feelings.

You are making a giant straw man out of nowhere, are gen locking, camping tunneling and being OP the same?

If not please stop this nonsense.

I was talking about how easy it was to kill survivors and I'm a survivor main, when I play killer I mostly play Clown (a pretty mid tier killer).

Survivors don't have it easy and I have no problems with losing to a good killer, unless it's a Spirit but I'll save that for a different discussion.

Trying to nerf survivors' loops more will just debalance the game even more (even though as of right now it's pretty balanced).

I don't understand why survivors and killers are asking for more nerfs when the game is in a pretty stable state (probably the most stable for a while).

If anything the only changes we need are QoL changes and some reworks to perks.

Survivors and killers are fine as they are for now.

I think you were replying to Nea Death Experience, because I feel killers are asking too much.

  • @thedevalex said:

If your team didn't repair all the generators, and you didn't find the hatch in time, why should you get a free escape?

The gates being powered when the hatch is closed and everyone is dead is already a privilege.

Nope, it is just a dumb way to prolong the game, totally useless.

  • @George_Soros said:

@SeanLeo97 repair five generators before the killer kills all three of your teammates. Then you're in a good spot.

Also, if you're smart, you can start looking for the Hatch BEFORE your last friend is killed. Then, just let them die and escape.

Why would you think you should win if it's only you against the killer? Makes no sense.

Because thats what happens in the movies, even a last standing girl can waste the killer...

  • @White_Owl said:

It's not impossible (even against the Hillbilly, even though you need a lot of luck vs him), you need to be smart and choose the right moment to open the gate. A little trick is to open the gate a bit (not more than 25%) and then hide, so the red light won't turn on and the killer will think you're not there, then you can resume opening the gate and you'll have to be exposed for less time.

Not at all, Hillbilly goes like a car, you wont go from 25 to 100 without him coming back again, noticing the lights.

  • If everyone says ¨learn to counter him¨ there would be no OP killers, but at the same time there would be no weak killers, because they must ¨learn to counter¨ survivors too.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

Dude, play killer vs good survivors. If the shack window faces the right way on some maps it is a huge issue. You can take the window to another loop, and back to the window. Car wrecker maps have this potential. Also the shack you can see though walls as survivor and doesn't matter if you moon walk.

Trust me I know where survivors sit in a game. But killers have it worse

If they are good, you need to be better.

At some point in life killers must understand they will never be good enough to beat 4 swf with 5k hours each.

There is no need to massacre the game because you cant beat good players that invested thousand of hours playing, and just because you feel bad about it there is the need to debalance the game even more.

  • Lol, just do it and I uninstall the game for good.

Game has no mechanics, and potato baby killers wants survivors to do nothing, not even move so they proclaim professional killers, top tier 4k and all with just 1 button.

  • Its ok, if people doesnt want to keep playing for any number of reasons, bad team, toxic killer tunneling him/her after hooked, there is no good reason to punish him.

More punishment will result in people not playing the game anymore.

  • @Toybasher said:

That's not that toxic. It's just a killer using a map offering that would pair well with the fake pallets.

Toxic would be a Dr. Worldwide (Unnerving, Overcharge, Ruin, Distressing with Double Calm addons) using a Jigsaw Piece and 3-genning from the start.

Did you play the match to know is he was being toxic?

  • I dont like DC, but sometimes its good nobody wants to waste time in a solo match vs a toxic killer and bad team mates...

Recently I just had a match were the killer had the Gideon Offering, it was a Freddy with fake pallets, Ruin, Tfobia and he was toxic as hell, didnt DC and didnt lose pips but it was stupid and unnecessary.

Stuff like these makes you wonder, why even play? the game is so pro killer that the terror radius is mono, so you cant hear where is he coming from, thats the dumbest decision ever.

Risking you to get that hit that can take you down for free, like if it was impossible to hear were is he coming from, nah you need to see him...

Gen locking happens because the survivors do all the gens in one area, the killer is just taking advantage of the survivors' mistake. It's not the killer's fault that the survivors decided to lock down their objective options by not thinning out the remaining gens.

What mistake? playing solo? having no form of communication at all?anyway the result is 9 out of 10 times the killer lose and almost the whole team escapes.

So you're saying if a killer did nothing but kick gens all game, he deserves to then get a 4k with NOED even though he hadn't hit anyone at that point. I think we have the perfect guy to be hired at BHVR.

Yesterday I had a game in the wrecked cars map vs Ghostface, did a gen, other guy did a gen, then when I was helping a Claudette with a gen GF appears and begins to chase me, I was the obsession, It was a long chase so 2 more gens were done, then I get 1 hit and I kissed the ground, dude camps me on the floor until the last gen gets done and then he uses that Mori-like perk on me, I wasnt even hooked.

Nice way to reward a total noob.

Seriously if you run that perk 8/10 times you'll get two or more kills. Why should a killer be rewarded for not protecting the generators? Why should survivors be punished for doing their objective. Why should Adrenaline be nerfed when the survivor has to survive to the end of the game to meet it's requirements?

Because the game is killer oriented, dont hurt their feelings.

Woah, woah, woah. I didn't say at all, that I was fine with campers and tunnelers. I said you're playing against jerky players. Of course it's not fun if you get camped or tunneled, honestly the only players that deserve such treatment are toxic players imho. As I said before, it's not the killer, but the player that causes the issues you're complaining about.

Not mention when you progress through the ranks and start from Rank 10 towards Rank 1. The game gets consistently more difficult, so you'll have to expect players are going to become more desperate for points/pips, especially when there's the gen-rush.

If they use lame tactics to try to get a pip there should be a punishment, I play mostly solo and its very frustrating to have 80% of the matches with killer exploiting lame stuff.

As I said before, if the entity is so killer friendly, why even bother? those killers bit the dust getting wasted by dumb kids in the movies.

At some point killers must accept they will never beat those rank 1 SWF because its too much, but that doesnt mean EVERYONE must pay for their suffering.
