  • They have victor who is one of best chase tools you can get your hands on and they exceed in slugging which is strategy that isnt that easy to counter because few survivors use some antislug perks compare to hook protection.

Twins are in top 3 least played killers in the entire game which gives them advantage in form of survivors not being used to face them. Casualy you will win a lot, for some its boring to slug but its effective because twins are designed all around slugging simular to oni but they are even more based around it and versitile compare to oni. Only good coordinated teams and teams running lot of antislug perks like sabbo squads do will give you trouble but twins can still take it, they are very strong.

So good killer choice if they dont bore you.

that’s my biggest problem. I was playing with my girlfriend and she just gave up after the first chase without body blocking it’s extremely dull and has very limited counterplay. She needs the Chucky scamper treatment

You missed her nerfs? Her vault is kinda pointless on more than 50% of loops unless its god loop or very long loopo with single pallet, I would say she is fine for a-tier she has to infect which is now way more demanding compare to her prenerfed state because that auto assist isnt helping that much I had countless of hits that should hit but they didnt, then getting rid of her curse/infection is very easy there is ton of shrooms everywhere. She is only good at 1v1 but forcing her to switch from head form to m1 realy slows her a lot and duos or swf like 3-4 mans can totaly slow her because she is terrible against bodyblocks and even insoloq she takes lot of time before she can do something like is she cant get infection on survivor fast she is just m1 becuase infecting with head form is worst thing you can do.

  • So you dislike zoning? SOme killers can do it, hold their power but there is still counterplay because with DBD hitboxes many projectiles are slow and easier to doge like pyramidhead must aim where you will be not where you are which is this shooter thing point and click same with dracula, huntress and many other killers with range ability.

There was many patches that nerfed these killers in zoning and when they cancel their power there is cooldown on their attack like second or two so they cant instantly attack, many of these range abilities can be doged or baited quite easily.

Dracula has one of the most longest cooldowns after he cancels hellfire and phead must aim very ahead where will survivor be because his projectile is very easy to doge it travels so slow that when survivor is on its punishment trail there is still time to run from that 0,5 meters wide trail before its hiotbox reaches you.

  • @Lavoonus said:

I would be fine with double turret setups being removed, just because its a big pain point for xeno players, but basekit nerfs to single turrets on top of this would make them utterly pointless.

Turrets are part of what makes Xeno's kit unique, and I think reducing them to a non factor would just make them a more boring killer overall.

I think the double turret setup is busted and their info on xenos position and how close he is is kinda overcooked too.

Well Freddy is pretty boring, no offense to Freddy mains. He just doesn't have enough in his kit. Sadako is just too weak. People hating on my boy trapper, but I think he has great snowball potential. Sadako has almost nothing going on for herself.

Freddy has kinda richest kit since he was introduced into the game and sadako is only good against very new/bad survivors or in hands of someone who has incrediable game sence especialy on macro like this guy

if you lack this skill you wont get much from her especialy when its open map that isnt small tvs suck there a lot.

yeah thats fair, im currently a skully main, so i can understand not liking a kit. however im gonna be honest Sadako mains are legit my fav people in this game, most chill gamers ive seen

You must be chill when you mainly play killer who will get most likely wrecked by survivors, thats why I respect highly merchant and trapper mains because going into the game with high chance that you will most likely loose or 1-2k at max even when you did everything right and other side made lot of mistakes is something that requires lot of will.

  • @TropesDaMan said:

Thanks for all the advice guys. Ill work on improving how i play, im just coming off a game with a sweat Ace who ran DS, DH, Vigil and Windows and got ran like a mutt. when should i generally leave chase?

Leaving chase has no must circumstences i would say, its just your game sence like if survivor who you chase is good and is taking you deeper into area where is lot of resources (pallets) and it looks you will be there for long time and 3 gens will most likely pop than leave. Its just deciding what you want like when someone unhooks and is healthy leading you to main with resources or shack I will personaly rather go for the unhooked one if he doesnt go there (which is clear choice) because I will rather risk ds but have smoother chase and be closer to kill than wasting lot of time just for hook stage (this can change if the one who is heading into main is dead hook but even then its hard choice).

Mostly drop chases if it looks they will take too much of your time and wont give much, like its your call and you will be better at this the more experience you will have. The best way to win is to find easier chases like weaklings of that team and focus on them because they will feed your perks (like most of us run pop etc.) and slowdown the others which are harder to get becuase they must run to save them, but sometimes even the "weakling" is someone who is hard to get compare to your skill and that means it will be hard game notheless. Key thing is keeping in mind that your time in the trial as killer is the most precious thing you have and is very limited compare to survivors time.

  • Still not worthy to run unless you have vecnas aura perk or go against full toolbox team or something like this but other than that its not that great people just hate it because they get their items om the ground so they call it op.

  • Freddy is useable but onry, unless you hahe sence for macro like onepumpwillie or you play against newer survivors you have no chance you are just m1 killer who can dissapear for moment (something spirit has weaker but does it passively) plus you can tp to tvs and thats it, you can counter bodyblocking but there isnt nothing good on her unless you have that great macro sence and you get condem fast or keep survivors getting for tapes (this slows game but counters your mobility and mori potencial), very weak killer and super hard/demanding for what she offers.

I dont main neither of them but freddy atleast is fun to play compare to sadako, she is just torture unless you get survivors that havent seen that killer through their whole DBD career.

  • Its not that good its like mid perk, its main use comes when its used with lich perk which gives aura reveal to survivors that are near droped items but alone its not that great unless you see lobby of full medkits, toolboxes or flashlights and you can use it against these teams but it realy is only mid perk and without weave attunement is not that good especialy when it no longer reduces item charges like it did before.

People just dont like getting their item droped thats it.

It hinders developing your game sense and macro play. It's not unskilled to tunnel, but good killers know the best time and opportunity to do it. You can try to fall back on it as a plan B, but if it's your plan A, you will run into major problems if the survivors you're playing against brought anti-tunnel perks and don't fold under the pressure of getting tunneled.

    Examples

How a bad killer uses tunneling: Wraith gets a survivor on the hook and then uses their stealth to hover nearby. They wait for an unhooker and then either chase them off or force them to trade, slugs them, and tunnels the unhooked person. They don't try to spread pressure, their entire win condition is centered around exploiting survivor altruism and hoping people won't just try to rush gens when they realize this is happening.

Examples of how a good killer uses tunneling:

-They get a survivor on the hook, then go hunting for another survivor. The survivors misplay by unhooking before they fully leave the area, so they double back to punish this.

-They patrol a bit but don't find anyone, so they patrol back to the hook to proxy camp it and force a trade/tunnel. The survivors aren't efficiently pressuring generators anyway.

-They brought Barbecue and Chlli but don't see any survivors, which means the whole team is nearby and they have no reason to leave the hook.

-There's a tightly clustered group of generators, so they hook nearby them so they can simultaneously patrol the gens and make it difficult to unhook without them being able to tunnel

-They left the hook, but spotted a survivor running in for the rescue, so they chase them. If the survivor forces the unhook anyway, they tunnel the unhooked survivor to punish this misplay.

It doesnt hurt it that much because macro is something that highly depends individualy like some have it great and others even with ton of hours through experience have it not that good compare to others that have less experience than them, tunneling makes it little worse but still unless you turbo tunnel one guy and stay near hook to not loose him.

So its not that huge of a deal unless you play like comp dedicated hardcore sweat and go full tunnel at 5, this has few excaptions like when you know who you play against and you know they are very good but its rare other than that tunneling doesnt make you worse only negative is you win more so you may get stronger opponents but thats it no big deal.

Is it bugged? I’ve only played 3 games of him and the 2 I where a mori was an option I didn’t get a prompt, I also tried switching to vampire form incase that was the issue but it still didn’t work.

Still better than nemi+wesker not having aura reveal on their chests with sprays when you are infected as survivor.

This bs is there a long time and i henvent seen anywhere in patch notes this "buff" to this killer duo (Im not arguing they dont need some buffs because having 3 sprays for 1 survivor is bit too much 2 would be fine but this is super annoying like many people just run around because they were hit by weskers dash and cant find spray and thats slow end of that game becuase no gens are being done).

Just thing no one speaks about.

You mean, hear the scream, see the survivor on the ground, and then immediately pop back up and run off?

Yeah, killer's were just upset about not getting their free hits.

Sometimes its not even ping issue but more of people not understanding how hitbox works, that if they stay near edge of wall to see and I throw huntress axe they are like "how can this hit me when Im behind the corner, this wouldnt happen in csgo", sometimes the hitbox is in different palce at the same time then survivors character model (behind him) so even when they vaulted their hitbox is still behind then very close to the window and killers hitbox connects on this range to theirs.

Its not magic just sometimes understanding this, truth is high ping can make killer hit some nasty hits like I got hit 3 seconds through solid pallet by wraith who had 274 ping (3 second after i prethrow it down because I knew he had terrible ping and safety first) but thats not happening 24/7. Same as killer being able to walk and m1 through fence (under it) or around bush but somehow he cant do it with chansaw (neither billy or bubba) because of the aura of that bush (not realy but it seems like it for some people) some people just dont get hitboxes after almost 10 years of this game existing.

And high ping doesnt work for killer always better like for m1 hits yes but for bubbas chansaw or nemis whip or wraiths uncloak (you had to hold it longer to uncloak with wraith when your ping is high, I just got 90 ms in 2v8 while playing with guy who was from same country as me and we were in like max 100 km radius close to each other, Im guessing this by his language and things he had on his steam profile which he comfirmed me) so its not always working for the killer like I get stunned by pallet when Im out of its reach by survivor who has higher ping than me too its annoying but still happens.

Same with vault proc action gainst wraith vs low ping survivor its annoying but nothing new.

Ps: this will get hated a lot.

No offense but, "I want Jason Voorhees in horror hall of fame crossover game Dead by Daylight over Darth Vader" is the coldest take I have ever heard.

I don't think there's really anybody who's clamoring for Vader. At best there's people who are just open to the idea.

Vader is interesting idea but he would fell like cheap knock off of himself like some temu version(just like nemi feels in DBD compare to re games), jason fits more here and its someone who is awaited since the 2016 even the main poster guy is inspirated by him a lot (trapper).

Also Im not sure how star wars fans would react to see one of their most loved characters getting looped till daylight and bullyed by 4 megs with wooden pallets make from scraps.

Opressive is not the word i would use. There are many killers with far better anti-loop, Xeno can just put you in lose lose situations more often at close range.

Even if turrets were removed, I am not sure he would end up as an A tier. So no, turrets should just be buying you time in chase, not kicking the killer out of power with no way for the killer to actually do something about it.

Probably just low a-tier but tail isnt that op as people say and turrets are making xeno jump from super low a-tier to c-tier just like hag with soloq and coordinated swf teams.

Springtrap is answer he has very simular attack but in some sence stronger, he has no turrets that hold him back, when he throws axe he still regains it faster in like 7 seconds compare to xenos what 30 seconds after getting kicked out of crawler mode or must go to tunnel to get it while another survivors just resets the turret, and springtrap has very simular mobility just no info but more stealth (which is something alien shoul more exceed in than big mechanic doll that stomps like mini godzila) and faster traversal across the map with less annoyence like xeno has in tunnels (sometimes you cant get into the right way and it takes few tries).

Springtrap is actualy better in some things and against good survivors he is way better than xeno because he has no turrets that would get him out of power for 30 seconds and has his power way more which is something that destroys better survivors more than xenos "better antiloop" (its better but sometimes its not much better than springtraps axe and turrets exist which will throw it all out of window).

Springtrap has better use than huntress against good survivors and his orbitals are something that is super hardcore to pull casualy but it has huge potencial even when chances of getting it work are in the stars its still there and if you saw uknown vs spring from hens there was some incrediable shots from springtrap guy that were super cool and even these comp survivors had no clue about them which is something xeno can dream on in tunnels.

So if xeno isnt your type and you are annoyed by turrets go for springtrap, he is almost the same but with skill and time investment he becomes just upgrade of xeno.

Its just a personal decision, but tunneling can also hinder your personal improvement.

Against most survivor teams you dont need to be good at your killer if you tunnel. So you are not ready if you get a strong team. Against them you suddenly need the chase skills to tunnel and they will bring anti-tunnel.

In short: you can get a lot of wins with tunneling, but you will feel absolutely helpless against some players.

And what tunneling makes you worst at? Chase oh no with tunneling you are in chase the same as if with another survivor only difference is that tunneling has bigger impact on getting hooks compared to chasing and hooking another survivor its like doing one work till the end and finishing it and then going to start another compare to doing one work while stoping it and starting doing new one so on.

As you said its personal choise, you will get more wins on average but still with it you will get teams that will destroy you even if you tunnel or not. So calling it unskilled is kinda out of window because tunneling doesnt wins chases just by exixting and experience in chase is obtained throug chase no matter which it will maybe hurt you little in different areas like macro or making judgements and making dicisions mid game because you just tunnel all 100% of times but nothing crucial in the end.

You can tunnel whoever you want, but I'd probably not tunnel them personally. Sounds like they want your attention. They've probably got DS and DH, so they want you to waste your time chasing them. I'd ignore them for a bit.

Slug comes to meta now because if team runs two guys with ds,dh with shoulder the burden then you cant tunnel and even spreading hooks gets more violeted by this build so slugging is answer or smart play which is some combination of slug plus tunnel.

Bt was used because there was no antihook protection and camping was meta, what you dont understand about this?

The fact that you keep reenforcing my point on killers staying near the hook and making BT mandatory to get safe rescues (or at minimum not have the rescued eat dirt when their feet hit the ground) while trying to sound like your disproving something mayhapse? It's heavily confusing how your trying to sound like your poking holes in my argument when your helping it along [and I genuinely mean that, its bizarre even by my standards].

Lets break down the points on what you need to argue against yes? First is "BT was practically a necessity to run due to killers being able to down a survivor immediately off hook". You've done nothing to argue against this. At all Watson.

Second "in the past killers stayed near the hook". You give "reasons" on why killers did so but that does not hinder my argument in the slightest. You are admitting they did stay near the hook in the past which helps me because if the survivor did not run BT then the rescued survivor would likely taste dirt the second they touched it due to the killer being nearby.

Third is "when the survivors just did gens then people complained because they were left on hook". You've also done nothing to argue against this or disprove it.

Just go and read the above posts you didnt get it right.

    Your words:

Your logic breaks here if tunneling is so good when everyone (almost) runs dsand other protection perks???? Same with bt everyone (almost) used it because unhooking infront of killer meant that hooked guy went down instantly without bt and ds wasnt working like now, guess you forget dribblink because of ds.

So what, prey-tell Watson, in that proves any of the three above points wrong? You again give a "reason" on why people would bring BT but that does not change the fact that without it the above dirt eating comes into effect should the killer have been near, nor does it change the fact people would complain about being left on hook, nor does it change the fact killers stayed near the hook.

Why was dribbling used? Ds worked totaly differently than now obsession could use it instantly when being picked up and by 99,9% obsession had always ds, survivors achieving 45% of wiggle got ds when they werent obsession so killer dribble to counter it logicaly same as survivor ran perks to counter some used tactics like bt for camping which was highly used.

Do I need to again say how it doesn't argue against those three points?

You miss one point bt wasnt used only to counter facecamping and camping killers but as all counters it can/could be used agrassively like trade hooks didnt exist with og bt if killer didnt had oneshot on his sttack or survivor wasnt injured, your breakdown is half gaslight.

Never did I say it couldn't be used aggressively. Quite frankly I expect anyone whos seen normal basekit BT to have an idea what survivors could do with old BT. Also never have I said that it was only used to counter facecamping. For someone whos claiming im gaslighting your having a reaaaaaaally hypocritical moment here trying to gaslight me. To wit Watson, the definition of gaslighting:

[Gaslighting is a form of persistent psychological manipulation and emotional abuse where a person causes someone to question their own memories, perception of reality, or sanity. By denying events, twisting words, and trivializing feelings, the abuser gains power and control, making the victim dependent on them.]

The essence of my words equates to the following:

    • The survivors in the past had to unhook while the killer was near
    • The killer was near the hook a good amount of the time
    • When people did gens instead of saves people complained about not being able to play due to not being saved.

What part of this Watson is gaslighting?

This is as thorough as I can make this. Good luck Watson.

Your standarts, getting nerf arent we. Theres sometimes reason why killer is near hook and bt back then was used because meta was camping thing you missed after years of games development.

Lets break down the points on what you need to argue against yes? First is "BT was practically a necessity to run due to killers being able to down a survivor immediately off hook". You've done nothing to argue against this. At all Watson.

Back then people DID unhook when the killer was near because a good amount of the time the killer wasn't far to begin with. And when people "did gens instead" people complained about not being able to play the game because no one would unhook them. Which then spirals into circles.

The essence of my words equates to the following:

    • The survivors in the past had to unhook while the killer was near

Like they do now nothing new sherlock.

    • The killer was near the hook a good amount of the time

When camping and facecamping was meta its obvious but if you need to write it more to finally understand it well good for you.

    • When people did gens instead of saves people complained about not being able to play due to not being saved.

And thats something new here? People complain even when you do something right and it was best counter and it is even today to some situations, sherlock.

This is as thorough as I can make this. Good luck Watson.

  • Size, thing is why is huntress 4,4 m/s or slinger why their powers werent buffed more?

Slower killers need strong powers yet huntress power is very mid at best worse than springtraps who has more utility in his kit and she would need more small buffs to her power, like slinger needs some too.

Good exsamples of how 110 speed killers should look like are spifit, Netflix vecna and I would say now blight, good mentions are chucky and springtrap. Slinger needs some smsll buffs and huntress needs more buffs unless they add crosshair option which makes her more precise.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4078270#Comment_4078270

So Mr. Watson, theres a few things here

First is that the start of this chain was when GeneralV brought up that in the past bringing BT was almost always needed back then to stop a killer from almost immediately hitting you down once your feet touched the ground.

Reinami goes on to say that people didn't unhook when the killer was near and if the killer was near then they did gens instead of.

I go and insert my 2 cents saying people did end up having to unhook while the killer was near because often the killer was not far away. I continue that when people did gens instead of unhooking people complained about not being able to play the game because they were stuck on the hook. Thus it spirals into needing to DO those unsafe unhooks and without BT, it was effectively death for the unhooked because the killer was near and would immediately put the "rescued" survivor on the ground.

You then imply to me (and seem to confirm) that killers stayed by the hook because people ran BT…which then reenforces my point that survivors were forced to do unsafe unhooks and by consequence near always run BT. You also bring up camping was stronger back then, which is indeed true, but that also has the consequence of reenforcing my point. Because it was stronger more killers did it. Your intention here was unclear as it looks like your agreeing with me yet sound like your not. Hence I asked for clarification.

Second never once did I, nor the General, nor even Reinami i think bring up tunneling. This whole thing is about BT, basekit BT, and how its a necessity for people to be able to play more, or at the very least more enjoyably.

    Third

Your logic breaks here if tunneling is so good when everyone (almost) runs dsand other protection perks???? Same with bt everyone (almost) used it because unhooking infront of killer meant that hooked guy went down instantly without bt and ds wasnt working like now, guess you forget dribblink because of ds.

This is a mess. As I said above Watson never did we bring up tunneling. You are again reenforcing my point while sounding like your tearing it down…which your not because we never brought up tunneling. Your also breaking your own argument against yourself, and achievement since I've only seen that once before. You complain about protection perks like DS…and remind everyone here of dribbling survivors so they cant use DS. If the goal is to confuse me, you have very well succeeded.

So Dr. Watson…the case is still open. By your own hand in fact.

Bt was used because there was no antihook protection and camping was meta, what you dont understand about this? Its like the same thing why ds is nowdays used because tunneling is meta (plus its super strong perk just like bt was which means people run it more instead of weaker ones).
The tunneling was as exsample with same logic, if something is highly used then its logicaly used something that works against it like camping-bt,tunneling-ds. Just go and read the above posts you didnt get it right.

You miss one point bt wasnt used only to counter facecamping and camping killers but as all counters it can/could be used agrassively like trade hooks didnt exist with og bt if killer didnt had oneshot on his sttack or survivor wasnt injured, your breakdown is half gaslight.

back then there were a lot more basement trappers and basement bubbas too. survivors don't need to get better if the perks carry them

Camping was meta people forget agi+iron was super used especialy because sabbo destroyed hooks pernamently and even then there was no protection like nowdays.

Thats why borrowed time was hardcore meta since bill arived and was highly used till antihook protection went to 10 seconds from 5 plus it got haste.

These changes dont make doors worth using still. Sitting on gens is more worth it then looking at some door for a couple seconds of aura reveal.

Sitting on gens is number 1 priority and very few things make it number 2 and if they do its only for short time because after that action lets say unhooking teammate so he doesnt die gens become number 1 priority again.

Nothing beats sitting on gens in terms of giving you win as survivor and I hoghly doubt any killer power changes that.

are you playing on 30 frames? just saw a clip on tiktok saying playing wesker on 30 frames is the way to get those ridiculous hits

Nah on lower fps his hugtechs work better but I havent seen anyone pulling them consistently on lower fps than 60.

I dont think this is fps issue with his hitbox bug, he’s been grabing people through objects many patches ago.

  • Havent you slept through her last rework concept didnt you?

Only her mains hated it and majority praised it it was something as using drones as projectiles that can be controled like victor I think so I believe they will add something new to her.

They did it because eeryone run borrowed time which is nowdays basekit with haste effect after being unhooked.

So were assuming here that your saying killers stayed near the hook because everyone ran BT? Because as you actually recalled the original BT required you to be in the terror radius…so why would the killer purposefully stay near the hook if they thought about BT? Cause that seems like really dumb logic and not something I did back then.

Not being rude here, genuine honest confusion, the point of this?

Back then meta was around camping, first top tier favored playstyle was face camping because survivors had no basekit features after unhook like now.

Camping was way more meta back then and it worked so people runned perks to fight it, same as they do against tunneling nowdays.

Mr sherlock I think this case has been solved.

If only I had my own gameplay to share from the good old days.

I guarantee I would change your mind.

Theres many things different now but what freddy could do then? He had to make survivors sleep so put them manualy into dream world or they had to fall in 60 seconds I believe, he was invisiable so flashlight saves were super hard almost impossible but nowdays flashbangs would give him lot of troble. He saw everyones aura if they were in dream world 32 meters away from him and their actions were slowed by 50% thats old freddy.

I tooked 7 seconds (5 with addons) for survivor to manualy fall asleep so he vouldnt even grab people that were awake so hatch was loss for him, survivors had selfcare everyone run it with old dh which is perk that is only beaten by 2v8 current speintburst. Survivorshad so many ways how to get from dream world like they could heal mid chase and were immune until he put them to dream world again so so many ways how to get awake compare to current freddy and his only bonuses against sleeping survivors were great info and slowdown but it was super easy for survivors to get awake and be immune. There was lot of safe pallets and many meta perks were stronger compare to current versions of them, only thing that keeps him hard to place is skill because back then survivors in majority had less skill due to two things less hours of experience and lot more sided things like loops, perks, item addons or offerings so they had less skill requirements compare to today.

I will tell you if nowdays merchant was there she would wreck maybe more than freddy because he was just m1 killer with just aura info and slowdown but merchant has better qualities than him due to how easy it was to get from dream world if it would be harder to get awake he sould ne better but that wasnt the case so I think he is worst killer maybe only second if we include og 2016 wraith without his best addons that are basekit now (speed boost after uncloak + faster moving speed when cloaked).

  • @ObsidianButterfly said:

I think he is mostly fine now. Pretty middle-of-the-road, which is a good place to be. I do kind of wish they didn't just turn him into another projectile killer though. They could have come up with something more interesting.

However, considering both Freddy and Myers reworks, it has me terrified what they plan to do to Skull Merchant. She's been in such a terrible state (probably even worse than Freddy ever was even at his worst), BHVR went back on their word about her, and their is no indication she is leaving F tier any time soon. And if/when she does, she will most likely just end up ANOTHER garbage projectile or dash killer.

Nah current merchant is still good compare to og freddy who had to run addons so he could put survivors into sleep faster or he couldnt harm them and that was his power plus slowdown to sleeping survivors but just fail skill check and you were awake so very harmless killer especialy when we take in count the number of pallets and perks being stronger like dead hard, ds.

  • Cannibal will die there, theres pallet not on every tenth meter but every second meter, they would need to give him speed and iri flesh or he would suck hard because sprint on command plus trilion pallets and class that make them from scraps and thin air isnt bubba friendly. Pig well Idk but if she would got every positive effect from her addons she would still suck hard probably worst killer in the mode until you get larrys or rpd, rest would somehow be playable.

  • Do you have that bug when wheres nemi plus wesker as killers when you are infected you wont see auras of chests with sprays.

I havent seen anything as buff to their combo which was arguably one of worst but thsi is kinda annoying because wesker can spread infection and many people wont find spray so they get fully infected fast and die eventualy.

I guess its bug, on other hand it makes nemi+wesker playable as duo.

  • Im not sure if wesker wasnt programed with this aswell back then with ghoul because I believe this vault hit worked on same coding, but Im not sure there was so many bugs especialy with ghoul it was every patch so its hard to be clear here.

  • Sahme that aot skins dont have atleast some sounds like oni when powers as armor titan he would have his scream etc.

Kinda shame some old skins wont have this luxury as the new ones because some of them are top.

I would be severely disappointed if Vader ever gets added.

Thing is unless they wouldnt make him super strong he would feel like random guy in vader costume from temu, seriously his aura farming untill he gets stunned and dennied by pallet for 100 times.

Back then people DID unhook when the killer was near because a good amount of the time the killer wasn't far to begin with. And when people "did gens instead" people complained about not being able to play the game because no one would unhook them. Which then spirals into circles.

They did it because eeryone run borrowed time which is nowdays basekit with haste effect after being unhooked.

Og borrowed time could be used only once but if you were in killers terror radius you gave endurence to yourself and unhooked guy. Another thing is canmping was more used as meta back then especialy with lack of unhooked protection so when someone complains about camping nowdays I hardly laught at it because its just fraction of problem then it was back then.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4077934#Comment_4077934

Back then we didn't unhook when the killer was near, and if the killer WAS near you did gens instead. To be fair gens were slightly shorter then, 80 seconds as opposed to 90. But the hook timer was also 60 seconds and not 70, so i feel it does balance out. In general i have seen the quality of survivor play continue to go down as more and more hand-holdy basekit mechanics are added for survivors.

Back then people had to think more what will they do there was no basekit protection even when borrowed time was hardcore meta untill they add it to basekit unhook protection but you are right survivors had to be more carefull around unhooking, now its way more friendly towards them and still some think its harder but most of them didnt experience the time without antihook protection or forget it.

I still remember how you had to be so carefull around hooked survivor against hag just even as unhooked one if you ran into trap she tped and whack you down instantly, something many people forget about so todays tuneling is kinda joke compare to old times where it was 300% stronger then nowdays.

I’ve seen an increase in 4 man slugging even after fast track got gutted.

Obviously. Fast Track was only the excuse, as always. The same stuff as "Killers tunnel because of X". Then X gets changed and Killers still tunnel.

Without some form of Basekit Anti-Slugging, slugging will also remain popular, because it provides the same map pressure as hooking does, while taking less time.

Wrong here, slugging saves more time and is harder to counter because everyone uses in majority antihook perks like dh,ds,otr, shoulder etc. where with sluging you only get perks like ubreakable or conviction rarely and if they are in survivors loadouts they is just few of them unless its like sabbo squad which uses antislug because its direct counter to sabbo.

Slugging has counters but people use more perks to make hooking harder and slugging has no basekit feature so strong as antihook protection plus people just use max unbreakable once in time, slugging saves more time and makes more or minimaly same preasure as hooking where you loose lot of time getting to the hook so its obvious people use these builds.

Some swf runs lot of perks like shoulder with dh and ds where doesnt matter who is dead on hook if there are two survivors with these perks minimaly they can shape hook progress totaly and extend their or other peoples death for way longer which is enough time for gens and sometimes killer cant get anything right if these perk are in play, slugging counters that becuase these teams have like one or two unbreables at max which is why some streamers use it now more and its getting called new meta for killers.

You cant nerf slugging super hard when some killers powers are made for slugging like oni, twins so they would need to adjust them way more like give oni power way more often and increase time loss on his power from downing etc. or make twins able to tp to victor so charlotte can hook and doesnt need to waste 20+ seconds to walk across the map or half of the map.

Once devs touch twins the whole DBD will crumble, this always happened when they touched twins.

You can downvote it and be silent as you do often but these are ligit facts here that wont dissapear because someone feels its wrong.

I do not believe The Legion was ever a problem. The problem was The Legion paired with The Oni. This means I think the real problem is The Oni. 8 survivors is just too many blood orbs scattered across the map, even without The Legion's quick injuries. What they should do is re-enable The Legion but make The Oni's blood orbs only last for 30-60 seconds if not absorbed. So he can get his power up quickly, but not have it up non-stop because the entire map is covered in blood orbs by The Legion, The Plague, or hell even The Blight.

Nah legion was problem too like legion with nurse was somethign else maybe even deadlier than oni +legion because everyone was injured and its oneshot for nurse if she can blink well.

I had this combo a lot when and last of my games I was dominating so hard that server crashed and kicked me out, I think it was ddos which are still possible i this game but no one will ever know because you cant prove them.

I despise escapist's! They take no skill, just a tap of a button, and they gain distance to a new looping spot.

Its no skill just lame eaxcuse of og dead hard but stronger tbh and only few killers can match it like wraith, spirit, blight, dracula basicaly every killer with good mobility that helps him to get back on that survivor and maybe range killers if they are super accurate but thats rare to hit and not so reliable.

  • @Galafure said:

So I did not read every single comment but I am shocked that no one seemed upset about the bannable offense of taking the game hostage and forcing one survivor to rat out their teammate or just sit on the ground slugged to prevent the ever feared hatch. As for the OP, I have been clear that I am a survivor main and this happens ALL THE TIME. Truthfully report them. It is against the rules for the killer to work with the survivor. Or vice versa.

You reports arent valid here becuase slugging is legit strategy by devs so slugging for 4k isnt banneable offence. Same is as exsample reporting people for staying in gate area and not leaving or going into the match to farm some more points or look for hatch and not leaving it may be annyoing for the killer whcih is true but its not holding game hostage.

Personaly I slug for 4k if I know where the last survivor is or saw him but if I have no clue or perks to find him like bbq then I move to rng part.

Hatch is not win in my opinion its rng that can favor each side and doesnt proofs anything in skill just pure luck same with gates spawn after hatch is closed its rng you can have gates that can be patroled easily from check spot or gates that are hidden like on larrys or hawkins, 3k is win with same weight as 4 k just forth kill is cherry on top of that dessert nothing more.

    Its perfect as it is.

We should not overbuff the killers.

He is in really good state now.

The buffs were very minor, the buffer went from 1,25 second to 0,75 seconds and his cooldown went from 7 seconds to 6,25 seconds.

I dont know if this is very big buff in your eyes but this is compareable to ghostface buffs as total in 9.6.1 patch (2 seconds lower cooldown and crouch movement speed is 4 m/s) only difference is that ghostface is worse killer.

These buffs were very minor and didnt change much, it may feel better but its not that big same with bubba.

So we devs made buffer to remove his uvx smaller by 0,5 seconds and made his cooldown 0.75 seconds lower, thats very small especialy cooldown buff like I get buffer but cooldown not even a second? I mentioned before these numbers look like they were calculated by AI, still not enough he went from harmless to less harmless still harmless against good loopers.

Knight is a special case. He usually summons a guard and comes back to hook, so you're kinda screwed no matter what. Sometimes you might as well take a chance.

If its assasin you are in trouble, but if its another guard you ahve plenty of time to get away even when you werent moving becuase of healing. Knights power is to harass two people at once so when people tend to heal under hook in this meta due to healing perks being best with unhooking its kinda predictiable from knight to do it.

Looping guard is in majority of cases joke theres so many things that can make him loose you, hardest is jeilor and knight trying to pincer survivor but that can be outplayed aswell because of guards dissapearing 3x faster when knight is in their range its 12 meters I think.

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

being too good is a punishable offense in both killer and survivors eyes. and its almost always a trickster too lol. it's almost always a Nancy, Kate or Sable too. there was a time I ran bond for a long time simply because I was running into these people too much that I was constantly dragging out these matches out of spite.

in my case it's simply because I'm too good at navigating RPD, so I'm clearly just a rat who deserves to die, whereas everyone else is simply too easy to get caught.

Tbh nowdays sometimes its hard to guess if it was luck, skill or cheats because theres many effects from many perks and some techs and this combined with this games cheaters arsenal where theres like cheat for almost anything is realy hard to have clear judgement on what is happening.

  • @GeneralV said:

Glad we are moving past the idea that the killer side is wholesome and free of toxicity while survivors are all toxic, at least.

Both sides have their unfortunate share of toxic players and they both have it in equal measure. That has always been the case.

We live in reality where no side has only good people on it, logicaly theres way higher chance to meet toxic survivor then killer because theres more of them and people tend to follow the crowd so if one is toxic chances that others will write slurs on killer are high enough so theres maybe the cause or the people claiming survivors are more toxic thing is people are same and doesnt matter which side they are on but fact is the survivors will be more toixic then killers because theres 4 of them with shared objective against 1 killer so chances are higher there but its more about people.

From my personal experience I get most toxicity from swf or like duos where survivors curse me with their buddy as killer then killer hating me as survivor, killers mostly are complaining about perks, maps or things like this then sluring on people straigh on their first message, but this can differ for anyone else but chances to get more toxic survivor then killer are higher which makes it fact.

I’ve seen many people calling this hits as an bug, or even an exploit, but this is intentional now.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/D0W2BOBMLX28/img-1867.jpeg

It’s written on patch 9.6.0, they changed how hos hitbox works on vaults in general, which is causing absurd hits on vaults, I thought they way they did it was not great because he can hit you on the entire animation, causing the feeling that it shouldn’t hit, maybe they will adress but I don’t know.

Yeah this was insult to play him getting nothing when dashing into vaulting survivor, no hit or not even a vault so getting this like in the inside of shack was briliant.

Thing is now he kinda has messed up hitbox so he grabs even when there are objects and hits survivors way more further when they are behind window kinda feels like range attack more then slaping them when they are vaulting.

Still I hope they restore him to his stale state and make this hitbox on vaulting survivors work more than before where you didnt hit them when they vaulted into your face, I made post where I pointed this long time ago but it got just hate because wesker is fine.

Oh, old Freddy was really not good. I dont think that anyone would argue on that. That you could simply miss a Skill Check to wake up was one thing, especially because Self Care was Meta back then and everyone was running it. It also resulted in Freddy players often using Endgame Builds, because then there are no Generators to fail Skill Checks on and since those included NOED, healing was also more difficult.

But I am still very sure that the old concept could have been saved.

Fact probably worst killer through entire history of this game maybe og wraith without his two best addons that are his basekit could match him.

  • @Donkeybqlls said:

Finding this discussion just underneath one saying "why do we have map offerings?" is kind of funny.

I'm not on the same page I'm afraid. Sure some maps are unbalanced based on perspective, mainly depending how the killer's power works. But I feel there's an ok rotation going on. Or at least in 2vs8

It would be ok but I think theres still map boosting in 1v4 which shouldnt exist only maybe on new maps or maps which have some achievement tied on it but thats it. Map offerings are bs because like now they do little I get it but before they made maps guarantee and it was terrible constantly getting few maps in vast majority of cases survivor sided because survviors have 4 offerings and killer can only pick one, I was sick of it as killer or as survvior just getting same survivor sided maps no change or rng in maps.

The main thing is maps are super important in this game they create like 33% of the match favor to each side which is a lot, they can boost some killers or totaly drown them like bubba on larrys vs ghostface on larrys thats why Im for having them random them guarantee.

1 … 10 11 12 13 14 … 73
