This doesn't work against Kaneki at all.
You cant outrun him but it stops him for short time, dont forget his vault got way weaker because it cant damage you and you can vault back through him.
-
Terrible map especialy for slower killers without strong chase power like spirit, blight, chucky or kinda henry and nurse (they are harder there because of lot of los blockers but they are still beasts if the player can hit their powers but very hard).
That map has few god pallets and like other few pallets that can be looped around and rest is just god windowns chained with weaker predrop pallets that make holding W there god tier. If you get it as huntress, trickster or even slinger (he can kinda still play there but worse but still better than huntress and trickster) you will have realy hard time because prerruning and predroping there is god tier plus los blockers and short ways around many corners make killers like huntress and trickster very bad and weak.
Wesker well dash isnt best and hug tech is kinda needed on some loops if you want to go for power hits but still he can slam there becuase he ahs some antiloop especialy now with his small buffs and fixed hitboxes on vaulting survivors.
Trerrible map only thing that is good about it is the looks but thats all there is, balance wise worst indoor rather take 10 rpds in row or larrys or hawkins than this crap of a map even with killers like trickster, huntress, nurse, henry.

Huh didn't realise they had licencing issues with freddy, shame.
And tbh existing cannon doesn't really mean much in dbd. Just look at kaneki, the stranger things characters. Their iterations in dbd have all had their stories changed completely, so no reason that jason couldn't have that event, except for if they can't include freddy.
Still even if he could be in 2v8 I cant imagine how would they make dream world to work with other killers it would take like 2-3 2v8 seasons to get them working right and still I dont think it will happen same with dreadge due to nightfall.

Really? 2 minutes? Killer is pretty hard right now, yes, but last I checked the world record for fastest escape was 2 minutes and 26 seconds.
If survivors are consistently beating the world record escape time against you, that may be an issue on your end.
At the same time though you said you 4k 6/10 matches? That means you achieve total victory in the majority of games. Unless the other 4/10 matches are 0ks, that's not a bad win rate.
Could be cheater I got one yesterday and one noob who team with him with steam profile. They have tools to get out fast or make gens fast like that one 99 all gens on the map but luckily I had billy and he sucked while two girls help me with him by bodyblocking. Sometimes theres still hope but on other hand thres lot of teamers that go along with cheater, to my surprise its was sable with meg so it was rare moment.

4 years ago there was no way to get 2k + 10 hooks without tunneling or stacking gen regress perks.
Today i do this everyday, survivors are terrible, they mostly have no skill at all in chase. Killer is easy cause the community is unskilled.MMR was launched in 2021, so 4 years ago MMR existed and was tighter.
Well, you do not know what you are talking about, drop it.Maybe thats your situation but I face people that are skilled and know how to play or when to do gens. 4 years ago games were way easier for me and i havent went against so staked full meta teams and if i did it was same perks but now there is more of them and are in some combinations more stronger I would say like build ds,dh,unbreakable, adren was gold compare to now ds,dh,shoulder, unbreakable because this build with some coordination will make bigger inpact on the game.
Drop what truth, maybe your situation is different but I go against people with same or even bigger skill and games are way harder because 4 years ago I didnt need to play more "dirty" or smart using strats to get these 2 kills on 8 hooks I had more kills back then especialy with weaker killers then nowdays like when I played trapper 4 years ago it was "well this can be winneable" but now Im loosing way harder and 1-2 kills is like maximum unless survviors screw up some saves but its 1k in endgame even when I didnt played badly just these killers cant keep up nowdays.
You kinda have no idea, people got better or more smarter in some things through 4 years and to your info the more you win and paly one role the harder it gets even when you paly stronger character you will still get stronger opponents so dont bm me here and go find how it works today.

Killer has never been as easy as it is today unless you playagainst SWFs.
You should have played the game 4 years ago to see what it was to play against soloQ veterans every game. Survivors are awful now.
It was easier, killers had better tools too back in the day so both sides had busted things but mostly there was no mmr, loose matchmaking which only matched people by rank which wasnt even that good as todays mmr so you had more space for randomness but today compare to old matchmaking this one is holding you in shackles compare to old one and makes the games significantly harder.
No antitunnel or anticamp had huge power over survivor getting killed compare to todays state where m1 killers are even in endgame cooked unless they run perks like STBFL so killer like hag was actualy nightmera but today its joke.
This plus opponents in same level or slightly higher in skill makes it today much faster phased and harder especialy against better survivors who got so sence.
Before mmr I had quite rich and wide matchmaking but I stoped playing before they add it and after I played with it I had chicken senced survivors which runn in straight lines like chickens to kfc but then I won a lot logicaly and it become harder and harder which wasnt thing before only thing that amkes killer better nowdays is no more busted perks (unless it fully stacked swf like in picture on my previous post) like mft or FTP+buckle up and another busted combos or addons thats onlything thats easier on killer nowdays.
Pallets are still somewhere cracked since two previous 2v8 where something went wrong (theres post about it …..
Sure... Pallet Density was reverted and it's OK now.)where its shown how some places are still safe heavens where killers without very strong antiloops cant do much and get cooked by good loopers which you face more nowdays thanks to mmr than back in the day in comparison.
I wouldnt say killer got easier something did but other things didnt only thing thats out is frustration from busted things like og dead hard,ds and other busted perks and addons or map loops (well except 15 another pallets left from some leak in spagheti code from 2v8) but thats it, gens take more time but are done actualy faster nowdays then they did back in the day where they had 70-80 seconds of base repeair time, killer perks or more specific the best ones got weaker too like corrupt, dead lock, pop, pain res, ruin and many other meat perks got solid nerfs or restrictions which they didnt have back in the day.

The sixt and seventh movies jasons are still the sickest ones, he looks undead plus his skins could have more or slightly different mories with different weapons. Would be nice thing in 2026 not just skins with wasted potencial like the old ones.

If Killers hate it when Survivors run meta perks like that, that's all the more reason to nerf slugging (and by extension, tunneling). Then they can try running different perks and discovering some new and interesting builds.
And on the flipside, Killers may actually discover some new and interesting strategies.
Slugging isnt that meta and if it has to be affordable it needs full builds which kinda goes against your meta survviors are running, there are lot of perks that counter tunneling but only few people per lobby use them.
There arent any other strats its just hook game either you hook random or go after someone or leave them on the ground there isnt anything else except like sadako having mori and old mayers having tombstone but thats something only one killer now can do so there arent any other things to do as killer. This only shows you dont play as killer or you would know you can down a person, pick him up and hook him or leave him on the ground and go after someone else or go after the one who was unhooked last to kill him faster thats all there is.
I only showed how coordinated swf can make game almost unbeateable for them, unlooseable unless killer slugs full lobby or gets upper hand from the start and holds that preasure but not all killers are designed to be able to do this at the start like the weaker ones.

It's not even hand holding, this is more an idea to tackle the more severe slugging situations to keep the game going. Holy us vs them kneejerk reaction lol
I even say the original anti-slug was way too powerful, you're just ragebaiting people.Well giving some role to fight other new features that arent just some Qol changes is kinda handholding, thats like giving killers basekit pop. Im not against that antislug but few things, it has to be fair not op like now you can abandon if you are downed 3 times I believe (if you recover to max) but the old antislug from ptb both of them were busted thats first thing).
Second thing is there are few killers that are build around slugging like twins, oni or kinda plague but not as much as these two, these killers would need (depending on the strenght of the antislug) compansations or reworks.
Perks are another thing where there are perks that counter slugging like unbreakable, conviction, soulguard or plot twist, wglf etc. and these perks need to be tested a lot with antislug to not create just busted thing where killer will be in loose loose situation and all he does is wrong.
The two ptbs did bad antislug that were op as hell, I would get like after 1,5 minute you will get option to get up from the ground (90 seconds) without perks but then devs add there bs like faster crawl speed or automatic recovery up to it and made sluging almost dead which isnt much good thing because its part of the game when there are whole killers or their perks designed around it.
Ragebaiting is here a lot because mayn got sluged an go here to get rid of their frustration but how often you see killer who sluggs whole team and doesnt hook? I dont saw killer like this long time but I get them because if you run into swf like this
then no matter you hook or tunnel you wont get far because they run tools to counter you and stall you so best offence against this is full slug build right now.
Yesterday I got two teams like this and they had I would say more build builds like 3 ds,dh, two shoulders, 1unbreakable and 1 plotwist (these two people were having some antislug one to make self pickup when all are slug or he is slug long time and other if all arent down would use plottwist to force you pick him up and hook him to stop your slugging campain so others could pick up and reset health states). Teams like these are usualy in swf and are pain to deal with unless you go full slug or get down and hooks fast you wont get many kills or hooks because they are equiped to switch hook stages and make tunneling take very long time with ds,dh while others do gens so I get why some content creators go full slug mode.
Hate it but here are some facts.

I'm no longer sure what to do about Sadako. Statistically she's one of the most lethal Killers in the game, but everyone knows that's only because newer or returning Survivors don't know how to deal with her Condemn after the devs changed it 14 times and because OnePumpWillie, one of like 3 Onryo mains still in existence, is some kind of unstoppable murder robot from another dimension where she's actually good. For everyone else she's a pretty miserable Killer experience. Survivors have too much agency over how she can apply Condemn, and the only way to make it work is by pursuing a really nasty approach of slowing the game with slugging and spamming Projection repeatedly on a small or vertically dense map like The Game or Midwich. If you don't have that, she's basically a worse Wraith. I learnt to play DBD as Onryo because her perks were good (before Call of Brine was gutted) and her fundamentals are simple, but after a certain amount of time I realised she just didn't have the firepower needed for me to compete with stronger Survivors at higher MMR levels.
My big swing would be to rework the Condemn mechanic entirely and make it something more aligned with the other mini moris still in the game (think Myers and both Vecnas). Maybe she normally has no Terror Radius and is ambiently Demanifested when more than a few metres from a Survivor, but picking up a tape makes her visible and audible to that Survivor, while allowing her to build up Condemned (which would need to do something different than allow an instakill) on Survivors holding them? This would solve the pain point in her design that makes her hard to balance fairly and modernise her design. It would have the risk of potentially weakening a core element of her identity, but it's not impossible to retain the power fantasy of a terrifying apparition that haunts Survivors until they die of fright. I'd also then see if she needs a buff to her other Power elements and add-ons.
A more realistic, less involved option would be to reduce the cooldown on TVs for Projection, including when Survivors turn them off, reduce the charge time of Manifestation and make addons like Bloody Fingernails and Reiko's Watch basekit and give them new functions. I'd then make the range of Condemn from a TV clearer to both Killer and Survivors and possibly tweak how much Condemn a Survivor can build before they're mori-able. Ideally this would make non-Condemn playstyles better while also making pure Condemn less feasible, similarly to how Pig has more options than forcing 4 RBT kills these days.
Nah she just stomps newer players because they dont have clue what to do against her but unless you posses macro so great that you can utilize her condem to maximum like onepumpwille (he got insane teams with her even perkless thanks to using condem but this requires insane game sence/skill and map because on open maps she sucks).
Against seasoned survivors she is just weak and for stats well stats doesnt speak for all things like this
yes, this is 4 years old but here you can see nurse needs some help a buff or billy but they are top tiers. Thats for stats if whe took them seriously (like dev balance teams in past) we would buff nurse 4 years ago and nerfed pig, sadako because of stats but this isnt very constructive way to make balance changes the old dev teams tried it and all who were in game or payed so attention to it back then we all know how it went (thats why nerf pig meme become part of this game as many other things).
Stats are everything always
these stats arent their latest ones I believe (because krasue isnt on them) but they arent so clear as the stats for killers from 2022 where we could see all of them, here they pulled the top 5 in average and high mmr and thats it but hows nurse doing? or other killers is mystery we dont know and what gives us the picture kinda are stats from sides like nightlight.

Sometimes in my pre-game lobbies, a survivor will say 'Skip this lobby, it's a ghoul' and at this point, I don't even care where they got this information, I'm just happy they shared it.
Nobody has time for Ghoul matches, especially in solo. I would skip every single Ghoul game and trade them in for a Blight. They're just miserable to go against.
Thats only joke or guess but if they are right they are cheating becuase only cheaters can see who is on other side unless you are watching streamer and see yourself in his lobby.

Nowdays its almost impossible to get survivor when he screws up because theres pallet next to other 12 meters away and they are chained just like this and as total insult they usualy spawn around strong loops like main, shack or jungle gyms and that creates safe heavens where no matter how survivor screws up unless you play strong and fast killer they will make it back to another pallet.
Sometimes I wonder what went wrong because after the pallet density update 2.0 (the one that remowed pallets and made many loops shorter and unplayable) the situation was ok but nowdays sometimes I feel like part of that first pallet density update 1.0 (the one that gave more pallets and made every killer tier weaker except nurse, old blight) is still there like cheap unwanted immitation just like in this video because I dont remember so many mid safe pallets around strong loops like 8-14 meters away each other.
Worst thing is good looper will make you loose game there even with killer like wesker, unless you outskilled them but thats not guarantee.

Yeah I think Doc when he shocks needs to cancel pre queued up animations from survivors
Well its heavily ping related and as you say if survivor sits on shack on droped pallet he can vault it and get shocked and vault it again once or twice depending on ping and shock timing.
Doctor exceeds on longer loops and sucks at short onse thats why good docs shock less to not loose momentum and dinstance and newbies shock all the time and loose these things and wonder why they dont do anything.
Not to mentione slowdown from tier 3 madness is very small I would say one of worst killer powers slowdowns from maybe even the worst so theres no reward ion shocking someone a lot.
Im not sure if one time he canceled the vault animation (I think he did but they remowed it) because people complained but Im not sure.

I mean.. effective or a complete waste of time. Nothing is being done. Gens are getting done but they give the least amount of BP in comparison to chases etc. As killer you are basically just walking around. There's no interaction.
If you prerun 110 speed killers then you wasten their time and this leaves them with less progress on their part where when others are at that moment on gens the killers are loosing a lot.
It seems counterproductive running away soon but its very rewarding both for you (you stay longer alive) and for the team (if they do the gens and keep the survvior progress going). Prerunning is meta since the games start but people found it later whn "must be chased" mania kinda got weaker.
Because if you remember the game used to be more as hide and seek then people liked more chase part (especialy survivors due to content from that time) and prerunning was used later but newer survviors or shy guys did it always and its effective minimaly for that survivor for whom is killer coming for and if others can use that time waste for gens (time waste for killer) then its very strong, boring but strong which is what majority tends to lean on and we can see it on perks, addons or strategies.

But like, you could just hook people.. they get out of your game faster and you have perks like pop and pain rez that help you with gens that are both related to hooking too where slugging not only has no perk synergy slowdown but also doesn't have a strike system like hook states.
slugging should not be meant for slowdown but an intermediate phase, like you got people around going for flashlight saves and got to deal with them first or trying for a snowball/ stop a gen that would go off too soon if you tried hooking first. there shouldn't be a justification for slugging people over 3 minutes.Thing is hooking takes time and its way risker because survivor can be saved and chase resets but time still moves. There are so many perks that make survivors stronger when theys are hooked or unhook like dead hard, shoulder the burden, deliverence even ds with these perks can make killer regret hooking that survivor while slugging just makes you move on and slows survivor actualy more then hooking plus there are perks to counter it but almost no one is running them and if so its one/two guy using unbreakable in lobby unless its sabbo squad who runs whole builds against sluging because its their straight counter.
So theres why slugging has its advantages but still its super risky strategy that doesnt need to work all the times and depends heavily on many things like survivor perks, killer, killers perks, MAP and so on so if there are 4 survivors and killer has no super high mobility it shouldnt be problem to deal with (slugging them all), killer with good mobility (mean here are the ones that can travel across the map frearly not locked into some travel points like demo, xeno, springtrap, freddy but I mean killers like blight, ghoul, dracula, billy these killers with this type of mobility) can still be dealt with here its worse but like I sadi MAP is huge thing here like indoors like larrys, hawkins or even rpd stop majority of these killers or highly effect their map traversal abilities and survivor coordination and perks play then huge part too but still I think killer only slugging is easier to deal with (killer with mobility the better equiped for this like ghoul) than same killer hardcore tunneling.
Problem is there are tools but no one uses them because they arent used to deal with this they only fear about tunneling or make their whole builds around them but then meet slugger and get wrecked fast and complain.

…you mean the official stats that showed sfws win at 1% higher than solo making them an entire non issue boogeyman? And I speak as a killer player lmao what hurt my opinion?
Swf win more but tend to not left their buddy die there which mostly backfires and gives killer more kills, soloq more left others and move on and for your simplicity in this fact it higly depends what stats you talk about high mmr swf compare to soloq or average and what type of swf - duo, trio or 4man there are stats for all these and their numbers differ up to 10% so your 1% is joke as a answer unless you meaned it on average but then its better to name it not just assume.
Back there you called camping problem in speeding a game. Do you think camping speeds game more than tunneling or 4 man slugging? I dont because if it did the games would be fast as hell back then.
That killer main part …… I take it as your word but since you call things like stats sipmly (these all different stats) then I wont count it because everyone can claim this.
Both sides pushed meta and wanted easier way to win which got us here and gens are still fastest done compare to old days where they took shorter time to get done and with stronger fast repeair gen perks like old provethyself and many others.
As for killer stats they do them dirty because best stats were these showing all, shame they stop that but we can wonder why.
For survivors these stats (showing all characters compared) arent needeed because they are all just skins but killers arent.

Disagree, it's such an issue killer side that one of the main listed reasons on uninstall is "excessive tunneling and camping." And nothing in what you said addresses the core issues I brought up. Survivors HAVE to know exact rotations or snowball they aren't allowed fun builds they've been optimized out of existence. The devs even nerfed steagull for no reason other than 'annoyance' not because of gameplay whatsoever. I can still run a full hex build which isn't optimal on my killers and 3k-4k with minimal lose. But if I try a boon build on survivor I have 4 dead perks and a wasted time on my teammates. The only solution would be a change in queue where it's you want one side but it's not guaranteed We should of never had mains.
You just name one side and blame other but theres nothing constrictive and using these questionnaires as valid reason is lame because they werent held up by any data from devs tgey were just balant info for devs and they were mostly aiming for survivors and their issue than killers which makes it one sided again.
Both sides push meta and getting better at it thats just it and your idea that its this one side because its the bad one from your standarts doesnt mean anything than hust your opinion that I dont see as valid reason .

TBH I blame fellow killer mains for not allowing any breather matches and forcing comp mindset. You aren't allowed to be casual outside 2v8 as survivor players and it shows in our player stats even twitch viewership drops by half. I can't blame survivors for rushing gens when if they even tried a silly build chances are they are the weak link and snowball the match. BHVR furthered this with their changes and forcing anti/gen rush to be the only viable means for survivor side. Like we can't keep demanding one side to be pin prick perfection then be pikachu surprised that's the only way they ever play. I prefer 2v8 as a spirit player because I know a good portion aren't gonna comp in anticipation I'mma tunnel off hook.
Both sides are guilty the same its not killer or just survivor its just depends which will sweat first and have super high chance they will stomp the other thats it.
Survivors do gens very effectivenor killers start tunnel at start but either way both do this it only depends which you get. Nowdays survivors are more better with looping and have more help from things like shared hud or can see now loadouts of others which makes them play better more experience combined with information which makes them more effective.
I cant nowdays blame anyone kinda its either sweat and win or chill and get stomped into the ground and this circle repeats on and on.

Well dissolution is revealed to survivor after injure and its way weaker tham bam or blood favor, its weaker than spirit furry+endurending and even that combo can be outplayed by predroping.

I'd say most killers are stronger than skullmerchant usually. Also I think demo is in a good position, you can chase with him pretty cleanly, but he also doesn't destroy the survivors too much :D
Well merchant is worst with trapper so almost any killer is better than her and demo now has little bigger speed in dash, no camera lock after hitting shread and finally 12 seconds of oblivious instead poor 5 I was mentioning this since springtrap came into game with better mobility and 15 seconds of oblivious so devs finally look at it and found it strange too.

not only that when Wesker and Nemesis are together the antidote chests are not highlighted. It’s like free slowdown for those two.
Yeah bug that no one talks about yet it kills every team I played in against this combo because even with 3 sprays in one chest majority of chests arent found in time and weskers infection causes highest damage while nemis stays way longer and makes him actual threat in chase.
Worst killer duo became best one because almost everyone runs around looking for chests with sprays while killers clear the survivors and very small gen progress is done.

This is where the fun begins with buffing him he would need 3x the number of clone capacity and spawning speed and his teleport cooldown greatly reduced and his UVX would need to be able to fire every 5 seconds
There we go he's now good
Probably this would make him viable but I dont see devs buff killers like this that much like the most buffed ones are stronger ones like wesker or they still suck even when they are two times stronger like nemi, trapper.
I fear he would end up just like pyramidhead.

I dont see him do that good here like he would need massive buffs or he would end up like pyramidhead almost same as in 1v4.
He has too hit two times to get injure so his cooldown would need to be lower like for 3 seconds and his tp clones would get wipe out by double of survivors and his cooldowns for tp clones spawn and tps cooldown would need massive reduction on cooldown.Otherwise he would be harmless there and way worse than huntress or slinger which damage instantly and get along with other killers.

I loved to use the old version where it was just 15% but for that every single hook, the new version with 25% and 4 times max is also not my cup of tea. I like pop, surge or oppresion depending on the killer more (often bbq, surge, brutal and bamboozle or bbq, fitting perk for the killer, pop and oppression) :D
That version was ok on mid to low tier killers but op on high tier killers which can move around map fast and get downs faster while use it with perks like dms which was too much.
Still current pain res is to tier on low to none mobility killers because if you run pop on huntress, demo, trapper you will get same or even less value then from pain res due to lack of options for these killers to move around map to gens or get downs that fast on top pain res stuck well with other great perks like dms, grim which are meta too.

I feel like it’s pretty fine. Yes, it’s incredibly annoying to chase good players who know how to abuse it, but keep in mind that the survivor side needs to be very strong in this mode to incentivize more players to choose that side.
I guess if anything the cooldown could be made slightly longer but that’s about it.Not slight change in cooldown but atleast make exhastion 40 seconds than 20. Still this class in main reason why I will only play killers with ability to catch up (plus huge maps) and with chase power only so for me only wesker, billy, blight, nurse, oni, wraith, spirit and dracula are viable.
Chucky, slinger and huntress are kinda ok but not that great even when chucky has mobility here he is still worse in mobility and chase than nurse and all others with mobility beatnhim but he is still viable choice here.
All of the rest is inplayable and huge risk, in my opinion not worth 30 monutes of wait time to get genrushed by team where many use escapist and pallets are rebuild so even good breakers like nemi are cooked.

Overall mostly right but Bubba in A tier? Not even close. I’m not a great survivor player but I love going against him because I can usually loop him for a very long time. He is terrible against any half-decent survivor.
Wraith in C tier is also way off. He’s my main and I usually do pretty well with him. If you know how to play him he’s at least B, if not low A tier. Not sure about Pinhead. He stomps solo queue but not very good against SWF. I’d say B-tier at best.
Wraiths b tier with addons but with weaker ones or none he is c-tier, bubba got biggest buff but still c-tier maybe very low b-tier.
Only version of wraith in a-tier is 2v8 version. Dont forget he is in 1v4 weaker than before because his speed after uncloak was 150% speed for 1,25 seconds now its 1 second and wraith without certain addons isnt threat especialy for survivors running exhaustion perks which are popular. Wraith is by many overated killer because his counterplay is trivial and his limits wont get him above b-tier even with best addons. -

When sprint burst on button gets nerfed then we can start a conversation about oni in 2v8
It wont, devs said in last stream this mode should favor survivors more so I doubt highly they will even make cooldown longer.
The worst loopers casualy run this cheap class abd think they are good but its like old desd hard even more less skill friendly because you can use it anytime when you have it charged and it contains quick and quiet plus is shared with other survivors and it has super low cooldowns.

I'd take that trade Wesker has more fair counterplay then Oni
Well now in 2v8 not realy he will get you faster than oni who isnt powered, his vault is on ghoul level just way better and his fixed hitbox which should have been fixed years ago isnt help you either with vaulting into his face like before where he didnt hit you.
Not to mention wesker and oni this 2v8 was probably best duo if you played with friend mainly because infected survivors couldnt see auras of creates with sprays so weskers infection was god tier there and nemi was playable way more because few survivors found and used sprays.Oni depends on other killer a lot because he alone is dog trash there but once he powers he is beast but cant slug that much due to strong antislug. I dislike more speed like 15% is bit too much and it should be 10% also he doesnt need that 20% turn speed buff here these changes would make him perfect (even billy has no speed here so Idk why oni has). Onis power should be easy because of how incosistent it is to get it and how easy is it to keep him from it but this alone makes him very balanced killer in casual mode tbh. Like it or not but I think killers power should be strong and easy to use if he has it very limited and can use it few times per game but thats more 1v4 of a thing.

fog vials are kinda weak imo, only really work against baby killers, unless ur on a tight indoor map
Well on indoors like larrys if you have bit of distance you can use them to get killer off you.
They are best agsinst spirit because of sound they made and cover tracks of scratch marks deffinitely best item against spirit and very usefull against killers like nurse or some range killers to throw them off. Like all things they have their use even when its more limited but Im always so happy to get them in 2v8 when I face spirit and Im not playing scout who has iron will, they help you so much agaisnt spirit who is killer I dont like much because I hate playing against something I dont see and sounds arent what they used to be back in 2016 I would say you could hear survivors just by walking through grass or breathing but now thats thing of a past or you must run spunds on max and have good headphones with good hearing which isnt thing for me this kind of self torture.

In all honesty I only use Franklins to be an item gremlin or to piss people off. My favorite use is taking items from survivors on singularity and using the biopods to monitor the items so the survivors can't get it back.
There is many of them the greed is huge in DBD almost as salt, which is strange because nowdays everything is cheaper and with p100 you get acces to everything very fast.
Like they couldnt see aura of droped items and especialy didnt loose any charges on them.

that sounds horrible
What, that he can now trap caged people or the 2016 DBD thing. Well the first thing he shouldnt be able to trap near existing cages like with hooks in 1v4. And that 2016 DBD was very wild thing compare to what we have now many things were busted beyoned recognition like infinite loops that only trapper and killer created with one purpose to counter them the nurse could outplay, syranges that instantly healed two health states or bnp that instantly repeared whole gens or mories that meaned when killer downed you he could instantly kill you without needing to hook you many other things. The last fragment of these old times that is thankfully gone was mayers addon called tombstone (it got reworked with his rework) mainly the purple one which made him able to kill survivor without any hooking and even mori him after unhook ignoring the endurance from unhook protection, some complained that this was lore accurate or that it was one of few horror things left but it was just pain because even when reworked mayers is now liked by many still he is nore fair and gives you as survivor more opportunities compared to old mayers with tombstone piece which was addon almost every mayer run because he was one of worst killers.
People wont like this especialy mayers part but for me its better to have 3 chases before you die than be gone in 1 chase because others let him power up stalk.

Well, Naughty Bear did put the trap down, wenn I was in the cage.
Then thats compleatly different thing that shouldnt happen, reminds me of 2016 trapper who could trap under hooks and unhooking could be done only from one direction same as uncaging now.

I think it really varies. There’s been peaks of both roles getting a lot of support and hate on here, and it can also depend a lot on the platform. For example most big names in the DBD space are all killer mains, so YouTube tends to have more killer leaning takes. Reddit I feel it depends on which sub you go to as there’s a decent blend in there. TikTok is mostly survivor leaning. And the forums I feel is also quite a blend. I think a lot of it has to do with tone as well. Often times the more negative the tone the more negative the response. There’s a difference between respectful criticism and just being a jerk because someone doesnt like a side.
Well you made breakthrough of all Im just here from what may 2025 but now I would say its like I wrote, I guess there were different situations back than but I cant tell I wasnt here.

Krause is decently strong but her gameplay is boring so nobody plays her. Her nerfs made her clunky to use and her infection game is non-existent
Well she is good at 1v1 because of infection is easy to get rid off and thats her strong side, survivors that are coordinated and help each other in right times with bodyblocks can stall her so I would say better xeno as someone mentioned here just a-tier and fact no one plays her which gives every killer like this advantage.
-
I got few trappers who knew on rpd these spawns and put traps there, thing is its not like when hatch will spawn behind shack anc its there but not visiable so you as trapper cant put trap there. But here you can trap it and then cage later spawns there on trap, this one can be seen well but I get this no one expects I didnt too untill like the previous 2v8 I saw trapper who had few traps on places where cages spawn.
I think it shouldnt be possible too on other hand this only works in majority on rpd where cage spawns are pretty same every game there and trapper is one of weakest killers in 2v8.

Well, the thing about Freddy is that he really feels uninspired, and boring. He doesn't really do anything unique, everything he has someone else also has or has a similar enough ability, and they often do it better than he does.
At this point what is and what isnt unique or simular to other character when theres 40 killers like look at the last guy henry aka netflix vecna what he has unique? He has some things like times thats global but there are times individual on killers powers like oni, plague or global like chain hunt on pinhead or both kinda like freddys dream world. His attack is very simular to pinheads but works more as pyramidheads with need to start the clocks so only his counterplay with clocks is kinda unique. Many things are at this point very simular to others what other killers have, old freddy wasnt that unique only with dream world working differently a bit with him being vidible only when survivors were asleep or faling into dream and him pulling them into it but this version sucked a lot and many people praise it for being good but its just nostalgia effect.

seeing as i kinda am new, i have no idea what population is on here
You will see it after time that post brings people close to it in wawes and then the others arive with different opinion and downvote the hell from previous wawe it works like this.
But mostly theres more survivor sided people in opinions on this forum than otherwise even the ones that are here the longest (meant that they have like x thousand posts like that awa guy with 18k or else) are more survivor sided sith opinions but if you will be here for some time you will see it yourself that bigger half is survivors and even the people with most posts that are here for very long time are which this supports this.
Now I will get smoked because I wrote it.

Freddy cant use pop well? i find it works on him fine, just curious
I meant it as the freddy, billy and wraith have mobility so pop is good on them compare to previous killers I mentioned sorry I made that sentence not so clear. Freddy is great for pop because he tos right on top of gens so pop is great for him.

I see thats kinda lame
Well this osnt the end there are games like Friday 13 which ended or were highly supressed by licence problems. DBD survived because of licenses like mayers hold it and then pig from saw and freddy came and so on.
I play him sometimes but he is hard killer harder to use his chain then nurse and kinda same as netflix vecnas power but he gains way less from his chains then vecna from vines. He kinda must run addon to have more additional chains for spawn and his biggest flaw is that he breaks his chains by his character model so you must be very precise from which angel you chain survivor and from which side you push like chains can spawn badly and break instantly so not chain survivor who will vault window but chain him behind that window so chains wont break and that survivor gets slowed for longer, very hard and demanding killer but kinda still good kinda mid. Box knowledge is very important but hard to and needs info perks or great macro sence. I dont play him that much but sometimes I play him for few evenings just like freddy.
Its shame he isnt viable especialy because he cant get some small buffs he would need but I dont think he will return soon maybe when license will be viable the hame eill br near its end and few players will stay and play it so he wont be that needed as before hard to tell. -

thats fair, and dont get me wrong i know ist strong, but i personally dont like it and find other perks more worthwhile. im not a huge lean into the meta type of killer main
This perk has no equal on low or none mobility killers and it works very well with other very strong perks like dms, grim etc. while also being healthy because it requires from killer to hook every survivor once. I get it doesnt look that good like theres still huge rng with 4 randim scourge hooks but still what this perks offers to killers like huntress, legion, chucky or demo and many other killers that cant use pop that well like billy, wraith, freddy.

Since 2v8 started I've wanted them to rotate in/out killers. Have 10 killer options each iteration and either keep the 5 free killers and rotate 5 dlc characters in/out each iteration or rotate in/out the 5 top picked killers. This would force a variety from iteration to iteration since just adding killers isn't working and buffing killers is more likely to turn away survivors making the killer waits worse.
If they were to start rotating killers the first couple days will be the best for variety while people figure out strongest combos that will be seen for the remainder of that iteration. Even though would end up seeing strongest combos for rest of that iteration its better than just seeing the same combos in every iteration like we are now. It would solve the issue of conflicting killer status effects in HUD or items clogging the map since can rotate in/out those killers. Could also more easily avoid broken combos, can just make sure they don't appear in same iteration.
Its survivor sided mode (devs said it on their stream that this mode is more favored for survivors) and class like escapist counters heavily every killer who has no mobility which can be used to catch up to that survivor. So its no wonder people play stronger killers to have more better results and fun when they wait around 30 minutes for a killer game.
Killer rotation would be interesting but I still believe it wouldnt change much like people would still pick stronger killers because they are worth the cue time especialy when you play solo and not with friend.
Like trapper when he sets up 4 gens can be done and first half game is on shoulder of the other killer, ghostface higly depends on map and teammate for his ability so blight isnt good teammate for him, nemesis was now only good with wesker because for some reason you couldnt see chests auraus with sprays so weskers infection did lot of slowdown and nemis stayed longer so he wasnt do slow. Killers like these are huge risk for failure especisly when you meet strong survivor team so no wonder people pick the best here like wesker, oni, dracula, blight (I would say nurse is now way better in 2v8 and billy after his nerfs because there is milion strong pallets with class that builds them back) etc.

they dont bore me at all
Then its good pick for you and now they offer lot of advantages like not being played that much so many people face them few times per year or like once a moth and even this is a lot often, slugging has many perks to counter it but many people run unbreakable max compare to antitunnel protection, they are very strong killer kinda now in meta I would say.
Personaly I dislike them for some bugs and for must slug option because when you down someone across the map with victor before you reach there with charlotte it will take 20+ seconds and thats a lot for survivors to pick up or move away and take you lot of time so you must slug, but they are good and for content Lynxi I think is she called is one of twins mains and makes content on them so you can learn there like the thing where it makes difference how far will victor reach with pounce if you look up or down and its good to know when pouncing from dlevation etc. tips like this.
-
I fear the devs see them as marketing for the game more than issue soI dont think they will do something.

you can’t loop the killer when her dash goes around most tiles.
You can crouch tech her easily, you must choose right type of loop where the walls of the loop arent that straight and long because her dash has some turn limit, she can still be doged and baited like demo. Working with others and not infected survivors bodyblocking oblirate this killer a lot she only exceeds in 1v1 but sucks greatly against multiple survivors taking hits for each other. After her nerfs I would say good a-tier and I dont think they will change her because she has good kill rate only in one bracket, she is still one of least played killers in the game which protects her kinda and chances you will face her are very small you will get tens of ghouls, weskers, springtraps, huntresses and even many other killers than krasue, after her first nerfs many people stoped playing her and I would say she is in 10 least played killers.

not bringing an item has to be a death sentence in some cases right?
I wouldnt say so because I play majoritypf games without items.
Like depends toolbox or medkit are best, keys have some great addons but their main thing is to help you with hatch which isnt that reliable because you need to be the last and run hatch offering. Flashlight without builds to utilize them are very situational and waste time because sessoned killers always look into wall shen they pick or around for some saviours. Maps without addons arent that good mostly good only against totems but must have addons on them, flashbangs are from perks and firecrackers which do the same are very simular to flashlights I would say they are nmore perk dependent then flashlights especialy now when they dont blind killer when survivor droped it even behind the killer(this bug existed for long and made them very strong because there wasnt much killer could do to counter them they even blinded him when he was in corner looking into the wall). Smoke bombs, I dont have much experience with them I would say they are great against spirit or some range killers or nurse but they dont offer what medkits, toolboxes do and I would say team save can have greater value than chase escape unless you are lone wolf type of player the sole survivor.
Thats for items all I would say they offer you more than you have without them but arent so game breaking (their addons were back in the days). So playing without them wont hinder you that much if you have solid game sence and dolid looping skill, in swf you will run them more but in this economy its good to run something especialy when getting someone to p100 isnt that hard and gives you lot of items and good addons.
