Why would I do that?
To easily show that you're responding to someone? Look how much easier it is for someone to tell at a glance what your next comment actually means :) On the topic, it's not really necessary. The whole point of the trail is to zone survivor into different areas of the map or on a loop so they're either forced to leave the loop or run through the trail. His powers do enough already, we really don't need to bloat his mechanics even more.
-
This isn't even what's wrong with killer right now. It's the awful sound bugs that have become even worse. Survivors make literally no sound almost all the time now. The no sound when slugged bug was something they claimed was fixed. It wasn't. Falling off ledges makes no sound anymore, even if you don't have balanced landing. Most of the killers and killer gameplay is fine right now, it's everything to do with the sounds and some choice maps (Cowshed, Ormond, Midwich and Haddonfield especially) that make killer abysmal to play.

He needs insidious built into his kit imo, considering that first scene when homeboy wanders into the house. Also, I wondered if they designed leatherface while considering that chase with sally. If so, I don't think leatherface was failing to catch her... he was 'herding' her to the gas station, i think.
I don't think they were considering anything when they designed him....except "need new killer, chainsaw, reuse add-ons, lmao"
-
I don't think this is reportable lmao. Because while it's annoying and an extremely petty thing that a lot of killers like to take advantage of, I don't see how they were taking the game hostage because the timer went to 0 and he was brought to the endgame screen.
-
Meh if I'm playing with friends, I try and do dumb stuff with them and get chased as much as possible because it's way more fun. If I'm playing solo and I'm not getting chased I'm on a gen. If we lose in either scenario I don't really care because escapes mean nothing. As long as I got to have some decent interaction with the killer I'm content with it.

Didn't he grow up with an alcoholic father because his mother died during the pregnancy? And he then joined a circus and it was all he had? That kind of life would make anyone miserable.

I don't see it like that at all. If they wanted to do that, they wouldn't try to do this drama talk attempt to gain some kind of empathy from people, and what not by saying how genspeed is garbage, how they can't deal with it. They can just leave the game, devs already know all that was said in this post anyway. People make threads about swf and genspeed daily, they get enough ######### about it,and get trashed from half their community. So yeah,to answer your question,I would. Because there's tons of answers on the main problem already.
Honestly I agree. Filtering out the players who whine all the time might actually make people take the forums more seriously.

true, but if you're going up against a killer that understands this perk, then thats only going to work once. next time they see you get healed, they'll either chase you and wait the 8 seconds, or go after the person who healed you.
You can probably get to a window or pallet in 8 seconds ( or out the exit gates). And since when do killers ever go for the one who picked the survivor off the ground? Because I've never seen that, they just instaslug that person again, which is what I'm hoping this perk will help with.
-
Camping is ok, same with genrushing. If survivors want to hammer out gens as fast as possible for a quick win that's their choice. Half the time what you define as "gen rushing" is just survivors playing well and not grouping up. You don't apply pressure and the gens fly. And unless they had 4 BNPs and prove thyself, they did not do the first gen in 20 seconds, nor the second gen in 40.

I don't run Hex perks as killer so I'm not worried about it at all it'll be a wasted perk slot vs me.
That's not the reason why soulguard is good. It's a nice addition, but it's the endurance effect after getting picked up off the ground that's strong, because if you immediately try to reslug someone who just got off the ground, you're gonna have a bad time.
-
I can play survivor with friends once in a while and have a fun time chilling. But killer...
I get a headache after a few matches because of the garbage FOV. Combine it with how bad this game looks what with all the fog and muddy textures and it becomes unplayable, especially after playing other games like Doom Eternal and CoD, games that have good FOV options and graphics that weren't an eyesore.
So it's that, and the fact that every killer I enjoy right now have really bad bugs (Oni and Billy are the worst ones right now). Everytime I try to play them it's just...awful. and then I have to pray that, once those killers have been fixed in the next update, none of the other killers or mechanics become unusable, or pray that they don't bug the current ones even more. I'm sick of this endless cycle of "Patch, bugs, patch, bugs"

How do you know? Its too early to tell
It really isn't too early. Unless this new system they're making is stupidly complicated there's absolutely no way to truly define how good a survivor or killer is in DbD. Eg: Survivor A completes the objective as fast as possible, and usually escapes and doesn't run a killer very well, and Survivor B can't do gens much because they're running a killer around for 10 minutes and dying every match. Who's the better player here? It takes half a brain cell to hammer gens and escape, but you have to be good to run a killer for a long time but they won't be ranked as high.
Don't even get me started on killers. You could theoretically win every match and have a really high (or low) MMR and be one of the best players in the world if you ran iri head Huntress, or scalped topknot Oni, or Nurse all the time. But are they actually that good at the game or are they using ridiculously strong loadouts to get easy wins? Killers and survivors will go full-on sweat, and against the strongest things in the game, you're not going to win. It's impossible to win against a 4man with DS and Unbreakable unless you're maybe Nurse with a Mori, but you as a killer would lose MMR for not winning.
-
You'll soon come to love being chased all game, as it's literally the only fun thing survivors can do . I've taken to going out of my way to get chased sometimes. Even if it's a spirit or Deathslinger I'd rather be running around than holding M1 on gens all day, even if it's only for a total of 15 seconds against those two killers.
-
Nurse is still the best killer, and Deathslinger is top 5, it's just the fact that most people don't want to be good with these killers because they require some effort.
-
I see spirits usually use sloppy and stridor, so start using them if you're not already. Kinda obvious why, you want to find survivors that are injured easily even if they have iron will, and you want them to stay injured so sloppy is great for slowing down the game, because everyone will be trying to get healed or else they die.

In no particular order, I use the following that you crossed out (among others, I don't have the patience to go through all the perks I use and see which ones you crossed out):
- Dark Sense
- Alert
- Aftercare
- Urban Evasion
And I'm trying to get more, like Poised and Inner Strength. They help me survive and escape, but they're catered to my playstyle.
You prefer a more aggressive playstyle, which is why you rate second-chance perks as "useful" and the rest as "useless". I prefer never being seen by the killer and/or knowing where the killer is at all times, along with my teammates.
I have success with my stealth builds, the same way you do with your second-chance builds. Different perks for different play styles. Why should every single survivor perk cater to your playstyle?
I agree with alert. Such an underrated perk that I don't see enough people using.
-
Imo he's just painful to play now without Ruin. He can be good if you don't mind sweating it out for 10 minutes straight and have a good build with add-ons. If you don't do these things he's one of the worst killers in the game, same with Wraith.
-
The only change I'd probably agree to is 15% faster pallet breaks in Tier 3. Survivors slam pallets against tier 3 Mikey all day so something to slightly counter that would be nice, because if a survivor has 2 or 3 pallets with a maze tile all chained together, they can run him for the entire duration of his T3. Stacking brutal strength with this would be pretty nice.
-
I use it for BP and that's it. The grind is still abhorrent so anything that can ease the pain I'll gladly use.

This could be true if people ran Better Together, how many times do you see that out of 100 games?
It won't trick survivors even if Better Together is in play. It only works within 32m. So if you're outside that range you don't see the gen light up. If you're inside the range you'll hear the killer's Terror radius, then it'll instantly go away and the gen will turn yellow the MOMENT the terror radius stops.

Myers has a huge skill ceiling, what do you mean?
He...doesn't. His playstyle is VERY straightforward and simple because he was one of the first killers to ever release. As someone who plays Myers more than any killer, there's nothing high about his skill ceiling, he's a very good killer for beginners to get into the game. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but saying he has a high skill ceiling is just wrong.
-
I don't think it needs a nerf, it needs to change. As in, change what it's function is. Even the Devs have said DS isn't an anti tunnelling perk, it's a perk that gives you 60 seconds of a "do-whatever-the-hell-you-want" state. And I'd rather it become an anti tunnelling perk. Like, give it a longer duration, but disable the perk when a survivor works on a gen or another survivor gets hooked.

Normally I would agree with the skill arguments here. But since we have these ######### servers, where 99% the power is a gamble, I don't see why players should be screwed over just because the developers do not know basic coding.
That is true and something I hadn't considered. It might be a good idea for consistency's sake after all.
-
Dead Harding the Legion frenzy is the biggest gamer move a survivor can make.
-
I really wouldn't like this change. I dunno, it takes away what little skill you had to learn with him. It's hard to describe, but I would stop playing Myers if this became a thing. It would be so incredibly boring to actually use his ability.
-
Hillbilly is just a walking mess so I wouldn't be surprised if his hitboxes were also scuffed too. It does feel a lot worse, and bonking in thin air happens a lot more, along with false saws and magically stopping at a dropped pallet happening more often than ever.
-
Well they specifically wanted questions about the new chapter and 4th anniversary, probably because they're the next big things and they're easy to answer. I doubt we're gonna see another QnA about the more meaningful aspects of the game for a long while (they're kinda boring streams but it's always interesting to see if they have at least something they can show us and they usually do)
-
Idk about you but I'd rather run the killer around the entire time I'm alive than actually do a gen.
-
*insults people in the endgame chat after winning and rubbing it in*
The next day: *will make a post about t-bagging and flashlight clicking being "toxic"* "why do survivors feel the need to be toxic all the time?"
And the cycle will repeat. Such is the life of a killer main on the forums.
-
As survivor, any 110 killer. Not even Huntress is safe from the 110 cesspool anymore. She used to be oh so good but now look at the semitrucks she's hurling.
As killer, the only survivors I don't like seeing are blendettes. Never understood why people would hold a prejudice against others wearing things like the bunny outfit. They're so bright and easy to see who cares if they're better than you? At least they're not trying to play a single player game.
-
Not sure about having more exhaustion methods now at this point in the game. Before it was fine when exhaustion recovered whilst running, which was stupidly broken in its own right. Now they are pretty outdated and boring add-ons. I'd much rather Huntress and Clown add-ons got removed and they got something more interesting. What if Huntress' exhaustion add-ons were removed and she got an add-on that have her a crosshair or shows the trajectory of the bottles instead?
-
It's not bannable. Not the best thing to do as others have pointed out but nobody should force you to play something that you don't wanna play, so if you want to do this against every Spirit go for it. Even though I despise everything about her like you I'd still try and get some BPs at least, so it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time.
-
It's up there but DS isn't the strongest perk, that would go to Object of Obsession.
It literally breaks the game and gives the survivors an absurd amount of information. The drawback isn't even one because no good survivor is going to care if they get seen by the killer because they know how, and want to run one around. If you're not a stealth killer it's almost always a GG, and even then it's still a great perk because anyone with a brain and moderate game knowledge can triangulate a killers position when they see the perk lighting up.
-
@whammigobambam said:
The fact that you have to run a obsession perk to create a obsession target in the hud is broken design. 51% of killers will make you wish you had ds if there is no obsession target, making ds a pretty powerful influence in matches.
And the solution to this problem is so frustratingly simple and easy to implement too.

Shadowborn. Just...why?
With Nurse, a higher FOV is pretty important for keeping track of survivors while you're mid-blink. It helps a lot and once you get used to it and see how much it can help you, you can't really go back.
So that's why. The fact that if I want to play this game for longer than an hour without getting a serious headache I have to sacrifice a further perk slot (the other being BBQ, so I'm essentially left with 2 perks) is dumb as hell, and an FOV slider is long overdue. But oh well.

I hate this argument so much. It's just so frustrating hearing it and it has no substance whatsoever. Say you could "spam" blinks again. If you missed and failed they still made distance. Not as much but it's not like there was "no consequences" either. Just frustrating to hear this parroted time and time again.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1334587#Comment_1334587
Because it made her counterplay too strong. Now anyone braindead survivor can make a chase last forever through bugs, deadzones, and that god awful recharge time. It took skill to evade Nurse before. She was scary. Now it's so easy to loop her or lose her while she's screwed by the game and must walk agonizingly slowly while doing nothing useful.
Even if people still think she needs an atrocious cooldown because she was "so OP" then by gods at least let us have this version of her power meter:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/156811/nurse-power-meter-change-suggestion
It won't bring her back to pre-nerf but at the very least the mechanics behind the power meter won't be as frustrating.
You hate that argument being "parotted around" but it's literally what the rework did to her.

Costed me my archive challenge which now i gotta go try to get another one.
gl with that. I think you might have more luck in not slugging the 3rd person and simply hooking them. If they're not on death hook the last survivor has a choice to hide or rescue the other guy, and you might be able to find them with BBQ.
-
No, because she is fine, power-wise. bug-wise she is the complete opposite of fine, and if those specific Nurse mains wanna say she's no longer the best killer because of all her bugs then I can see why, but people who complain about her basekit and think that those changes "killed" her are delusional tbh.
-
@darklinger said:
Yes. She can't spam without blink addons more. No need recharge for nurse now or atleast make recharge faster
It's almost like they want you to be more precise with her blinks and not spam them with no consequences...
-
DCing for hatch is quite petty, but honestly I find it funny more than anything. The fact that they went that far out of their way to make sure one person escaped but they still lost the match is hilarious to me. I've never slugged for a 4K so I haven't had this happen to me but I suppose I can see how it could annoy someone who REALLY wants the 4K

If they removed collision then you can't touch someone. Still, dont pcik stridor.
Dunno why you would advise not picking a perk that literally directly counters the one thing survivors have against her.
-
She is really as easy as using a headset. When people say this they're literally not joking and are giving you the best advice for playing her because if you tried to play spirit without a headset it would be painful. She's not the easiest killer to play for beginners because honestly shes like nurse and doesn't play by the rules. But for anyone else like us on the forums, or anyone with at least a few hundred hours and a working headset, I don't see how anyone can say she is a difficult killer in the slightest.
-
I agree, we should stop his "speed move". In fact he shouldn't be able to move at all. The only way he can do something is by throwing the wailing bell at people. If he hits someone in the head with it they instantly die. Wraith's shmovin days are over.
-
Favourite buff was probably kindred.
Not sure about my favourite need. The Spirit ones were a good step in the right direction to making her almost bearable. The toolbox changes were great, because they were by far the dumbest thing in the game next to moris.
The ruin need was a big one, but I honestly miss the old ruin and the difficult skill checks. Sure it gave a lot of killers some """free""" pressure but now ruin has made working on gens even more boring than before. At least the old ruin kept me occupied and a little bit concentrated on hitting skill checks while working on a gen. Now you're never going to even risk missing a skillcheck, and you also don't want to stop holding M1 because the gen autoregresses and surveillance will give you away. What fun...

The only glitch I’ve seen, which isn’t with the head itself but with her body, is if you try to use the P2 body and the new head, the blood has a distinctive cut off line which looks really bad.
I just want them to either use this head for her P3 or tweak the current one as it just looks nothing like how her hair should look.
This is the body issue I was referring to...

Remember, one of the reasons Ruin was nerfed was due to overuse. Can we do the same for Survivor perks, since the above builds are the norm?
As much as I'd love BHVR to constantly change the game with different survivor and killer perks shifting in and out of the meta....you know already that's not gonna happen lmao.
-
I think I'd like killers not being able to see survivor profiles until after the match. You would still get a few killers frantically looking up the survivor's names so they can continue to dodge SWF groups but I think in general there would be MUCH less killer dodging and they'll actually ready up and not waste 60 seconds looking at people's profiles.

You mentioned a 180 degree flick. Whens the last time you played as him? He had that kind of flick on the original PTB, but not after. Currently he only flicks roughly 45 degrees in either direction.
You can flick exactly 90 degrees in either direction, which is what I'm assuming that guy means when he says Oni has a "180 degree flick"
-
Hardest to master is definitely Huntress. With nurse it takes a while in the beginning to get used to her but after that there's really not much else to learn. Predicting survivor movements and pathing with Nurse comes pretty intuitively and naturally if you're also a good survivor. But with Huntress there's a lot more you need to be mindful of. There's more that goes into playing her than "just aim well 4head". And I'll say this, the amount of good Huntress players I've seen who aren't streamers I could probably count on 1 hand, but I've seen a lot of seemingly good Nurse players that don't stream.
