Those icons give me headaches.
-
Killer problem, low priority.
Better buy some more battlepasses and cosmetics.
-
Red rank killers generally have some self respect, and don't use broken ######### like Ebony Moris. Unlike survivors who regularly bring in 4 toolboxes, with 2nd chance perks stacked, and map offering ontop of that.

Yes they should! I want my Devour Hope Moris!
******not entirely serious, but would be nice for a bug to appear for a couple of weeks that made totems invisible. Would be so fun.
Such a bug would be fixed within a week or less, don't be silly.

I mean Dbd has always been running like #########. When games like GTA 5 or Fallout 4 run better than this game, it really tells something.
So I am really not surprised.
-
I want more everday clothing for Kate. Maybe a nice summerdress with flower-pattern? A neat denim skirt with a crop top? A sweaterdress for the cold months?
All of her cosmetics look so extravagant and out of place. A phenomen most survivors suffer from unfortunately.

Love it when I get called out in endgame for using that crutch perk!
Meanwhile they run DS, BT, DH, Adrenaline + toolboxes + 4man SWF on voicecomms.
Always hilarious to watch.
-
Watch survivors-mains use this thread to justify a nerf to BBQ to remove its aura-reading.
-
Get dedicated server'd.
-
Bring Franklin's Demise.
They might genrush me, but they are trading their items in the process.
-
Prestiging my killers. I am about 3/4 there.
-
Dedicated servers.
-
Dedicated servers make every killer power delayed.
I have that with Nurse. My charging and release is delayed. Now if my ping changed while I was charging, my blink gets screwed up, because my client and the server disagree about how long I actually charged. It gets even more frustrating with the post-blink lunge, because sometimes when I lunge at the right time, I still get not as far as I should because the server thinks I am still standing still. All costing me crucual hits in the genrush meta right now.
Dedicated servers are just bad for this game.
-
While I sympathise with the time pressure placed on killer caused by generator-speed, I also try to see it from the other side.
If survivors weren't able to pump out all 5 generators within 2 minutes, it would mean that in order to win the killer just needs to camp everyone on the hook to death, since the survivors have no meaningful way to punish it. Thus making fast generators a nessecary evil.
Map design, and survivors stacking up 2nd chance perks are more of a problem in my opinion. If you have a big map like Mother's Dwelling or a map littered with zero-counterplay loops like Blood Lodge, there is really nothing the killer can do if survivors are determined to finish the generators. The chasetime and the time it takes for killers to patrol generators is what causes the imbalance in my opinion.
-
@Butcher_Pete said:
Nope, it’s definitely gen speeds.
You gotta see it from the other side too, though. If survivors weren't able to pump out all 5 generators within 2 minutes, it would mean that killer just needs to camp every hook to kill everyone (since the sacrifise time is 2 minutes).
-
I would love to see her cooldown go, and keep the meme addons. Only the addons of old Nurse were problematic, not her base-power.
-
Do you guys plan on adjusting Nurse's blinks on dedicated servers?
It appears that blink timing is serverside, because a high and/or unstable ping can throw off the accuracy of blinks massively. Which makes her really hard to play on wireless, since even tiny hickups on the connection have a big impact.
-
I used to never get caught by 360s on peer-to-peer. But now that the crappy dedicated servers are there, I constantly get aim-assist (or however you wanna call it) thinking I wanted to hit that tree, box, metal bar, chunk of air.
Litterally nothing positive coming out of those ######### servers.
-
DS, BT, DH, Unbreakable - no risk, high reward.
Adrenaline, Toolboxes, map offerings - low risk, high reward.
Considering how much no/low risk high reward stuff survivors have, Its just fair that killers have some of it too.
-
You can see it on every character with a skirt, dress, or gown short enough to look underneath.

its quite easy, have a ping detector in the lobby to kick you for an extreme amount of ping. they stated that their aim was for players to have 150 ping or lower. if anything goes over that they shouldnt be allowed
What about people that are not close enough to a server to get <150ms ping? Should we now punish people because the developers were too greedy to add more servers?
But at the end of the day, this doesn't solve the problems of dedicated servers. Which is that they increase the interaction latency between killer and survivor by putting a 3rd party between them. On the peer-to-peer system people could be consistently matched with people close to the, no matter what region they reside in.
-
Watch this getting fixed ASAP, while killer sound and abilites are still broken on a gamebreaking level.
-
Dedicated servers ruin the fun for me on both sides.
-
Killers can deny survivors challenges, survivors can deny killers challenges. And the developers are fine with that.
-
Press F to pay respect.
-
Bring Borrowed Time like every other good survivor.
-
Ace has a very good voiceactor in my opinion. You can really hear how he tries to stay quiet when injured.

How about nurse? Her 2nd blink can be disabled for whole game. How is that not game-breaking?
Its not limited to her 2nd blink. Sometimes she can't even blink the first time, effecively allowing the survivors to hold the game hostage.

That's not a nerf, that's a bug. Please be sure to report it in the bug reports section.
We already reported it as you can see. People are merely raising awareness for it, because you guys are not fixing it after MONTHS now.
-
(Edit: Wrong thread. Ignore me)
-
^ Also keep in mind that is uses Steam achievements (which have to be public). So generator grabs for example are only recorded since the Spirit DLC, when the achievement was added.
-
I cracked up my gamma, brightness, and colour saturation specifically for that map.
It doesn't solve Blendettes becoming one with the bushes, but atleast other prestige characters are visible now.
-
Dedicated servers are just a disappointment.
I wanna go back to peer-to-peer already,.

If you just want to handicap yourself: OoO + No Mither
For additional challenge, play a loud character like Jane or Ash without Iron Will, and in bright cosmetics,

Though I only played a few weeks back in 16. My computer didn't quite handle the game back then. I rejoined back in 2018 when performance improved.
-
Addon-less, perk-less Nurse.
-
Killer has a ping too. Longer lunges are expected on dedicated servers.

As I said, I think those words are meant to indicate how much of a difference said add-on makes in comparison to others for the same killer, not necessarily to those of other killers.
But yes, that's the problem when you use relative descriptors like that, because it's subjective to a certain extent. I was mainly trying to explain the theory behind the idea, not claiming that it works perfectly in practice. Although one could argue that Corrupt Purge is more powerful than EWIII, hence the distinction, it's more likely that the devs' perception of the balance in their game simply changed in the two years or so between Michael's release and the Plague's.
Which is why there should be the actual numbers displayed as well. So players can make up their own mind about what is strong and what is not.
-
Pretty much that. If the first survivor takes you 20 seconds to find, 40 seconds to chase, 20 seconds to hook and walk to the next generator, thats 3 generators right off the bat.
-
Its called "survivor", not "victim", thats why.

That would take a long time to implement in-game and it's something that isn't really going to happen right now.
The DBD Wiki and various videos like Int3r4ct's is what you'll have to go to for your information, that or you can just ask a question on this sub-forum and we'll do our best to answer said question.
How would that take long? The developers know the numbers, they add the numbers in brackets to the descriptions, and publish the update. Litterally takes only 5 minutes. Massive quality of life change for absolutely no effort at all.
-
Just put the exact numbers in brackets in descriptions. That would litterally take only 5 minutes of work for the developers, and be a MASSIVE quality of life change.
-
Welcome to Dead by Daylight. Enjoy your stay, buy some cosmetics, buy some DLCs, and then quit. Thats the business model of Behaviour.
See you in the fog!
-
Billy OP, please nerf.

Thats why matchmaking should be adjusted too, so that it picks players only with low latency.
So players with high latency are just left out then?
-
Nurse.
She already has wedding dress cosmetics! If that isn't wife-material, then I don't know!

@BenZ0 said:
But that can enourage more slugging and camping. I dont think that is the solution to everything but still a solution for a part of the problem!
Survivors can hardcounter both. Borrowed Time, and Unbreakable. Bill Overbeck is a free character, so no money required to get those perks.
-
Smaller maps.

Red rank survivors bully green rank killer during match, teabag their way out the exit gates.
GG in postgame chat.
Okay then.
Thats why I personally always attach a message to my GG.
Like: "GG, rough map for killers.", "GG, not many pallets on that side.", "GG, you got the unlucky window spawn."
Just to let the other side know that I am not mocking, and thank them for not ragequitting, because some matches can be really rough.
-
I personally sympathise with slugging killers (I am one myself) here, but I am afraid its a losing battle for them. History has shown that when survivors disconnect enough versus something, the developers will eventually cater to them, and remove or nerf said thing.
Its just a matter of time, so enjoy it for as long as it lasts.
