How you try out licensed characters now? You purchase them with real money like a good consumerist sheep. Simple as that.

Imagine complaining about a loopable killer.
Survivors wanna mindlessly run in circles with every killer, hence why they got Nurse and Spirit nerfed, and when a killer fits the NASCAR meta, survivors STILL complain about them. I just don't get it ...
-
The thing with dedicated servers is that one player might have an extremely good ping, but the other player does not. And unlike the previous perr-to-peer system there is no telltale or indicator about other people's ping, which means you can't adjust your strategy beforehand according to it.
In my opinion, allowing players to see everyone's ping in the lobby and ingame would sort out the vast majority of the problems with the severs, because it allows people to adapt to it.

Anyone that tries to defend Hillbilly not needing nerfed with one side of their mouth while acting like other killers need nerfs is a hypocrite.
Billy's tuning doesn't make any sense compared to the other killers.
He can run forever. He can chainsaw forever. He has no freakin' cooldowns.
None of it makes sense. It's like if Nurse could blink forever without getting stunned after them or Huntress never needing to reload her Hatchets. Or the new killer not having to reload. Or Oni not needing blood to power-up.
He's ridiculously OP & not at all in line with the other killers in the game.
He doesn't make sense from their own design standpoint.
Where are the negatives that negate his positives? He always has a 1-shot down. He can run forever across the entire map. He literally has no weaknesses, it's stupid.
Stop trying to defend him because you like him. From a DESIGN standpoint, he's broken.
You can still loop him. Which already disqualifies him from being OP, or even being top-tier. A Billy is completely powerless at a Jungle Gym, Killers Shack, or the Ironworks window. He eats pallets and needs to vault windows like a M1 killer. A Freddy on the other hand could do atleast something at those loops.
-
That map is a Blendette haven. Its extremely dark, and the bushes are big enough to completely cover a female survivor crouching in them. Its even worse than Yamaoka's realm.
-
I have 2 now as well. One I earned back in 2018, and one just bugged into my inventory. No idea if intentional or not.

Not the cosmetic but I'm missing my Iridescent shards, happen to have those?
You can have my 24K, if you like. I have no use for them anyway.
-
Yeah, dedicated servers are just nothing but a frustration at this point.
However if it makes you feel any better, the killers also have problems with them. Having a delay on your power can really cripple timing-dependent killers like Nurse, Hag, or Myers/Ghostface.
I wish they would just go back to peer-to-peer. Though it looks like they have set their mind on ruining people's gameplay experience.
-
Nurse.
I hate looping, its boring, and breaks the immersion of a horrorgame.
-
There are more problematic maps, which require more attention than Hawkins in my opinion.
Rotten Fields, Blood Lodge, both Red Forest maps, just to name a few.

Okay look if you stopped playing killer just because things have been getting "harder" for the killers (apearntly it's an actual reason for no longer playing killer multiple people said this) literally if u want to win almost every match just patrol the three closest gens, and hook survivors on your patrol route to help discourage saving. You should get at least 3/4 kills every time
Found the person that does not play killer.
A 3 generator strategy does not work, if the survivors play it smart. You will end up in a battle of attrition, which is in the favour of the survivors, because their repairing speed is higher than your regressing speed (even with Ruin up).
The only killers I can think of who can lock down 3 generators, are Nurse and Spirit, but thats solely because of their insane chase potential.
-
I want old Tinkerer back :(
-
I miss the old times of dark and foggy maps. With moonlight offerings it got crazy real fast.
As killer I honestly had never too much trouble finding survivors, because sound was still a reliable tracking tool back then.
-
Because its an issue negatively affecting killers. History has shown they are quite low priority compared to survivor issues.
-
Imagine complaining about a killer that gets looped like everyone else. If you get caught outpositioned, thats on you, not the killer.
-
New survivors have it easier than ever. No more Ruin skillchecks, Nurse and Spirit got nerfed hard, Doc was made "fun", et cetera, et cetera.
All at the expense of veterans, obviously.

You don't have to, bug reports aren't compulsory. But the more reports they have, and the more detailed those reports are, the easier and quicker it is for them to find and fix the issue.
I am no programmer, but the solution is quite simple: Make the aim-dressing cone the same size as the hit cone. That way aim dressing only kicks in on confirmed hits.
I have no idea how the developers cannot come up with that simple solution.
-
Run Decisive Strike + Unbreakable and never get camp tunnelled again.
Survivors have the tools to counter every strategy killers have. If they refuse to utilise them, thats on them, not the killers.
-
No, we need killers to be blind and deaf, so the rank 15 baby survivors can be immersed!

Every PvP game? You're saying that League of Legends, Fortnight, Rocket League, Overwatch, PUBG, DOTA, and R6 Seige all have latency compensation that makes hit detection client side rather than server side?
Even ignoring the probability of that, are you saying it's better to punish other players for high latency instead of the player with high latency?
Shooter games have latency compensation. Its to prevent players from missing shots because of latency (you don't have to lead your shots according to ping).
This also explains why you sometimes get hit around corners, because on the screen of the opponent, you didn't fully get into cover yet.
Dbd is no different from that. Its just we notice it more, because we are used to peer-to-peer, and probably some poor netcoding added up to that.
-
Camping is already penalised. A camping killer basically throws the game by giving up up their entire map pressure, and leave survivors to do generators, and exit gates freely.
-
@Dehitay said:
The real issue here is dumb decisions to make hit detection client side instead of server side. If you're going to have dedicated servers, why the hell wouldn't you make all hit detection server side?
Its called latency compensation, and every PvP game nowadays has it to avoid people with high latency being punished for it.
-
(Edit: I am dumb)

You can't harass the powerrole in the game.
Its like harassing your boss in a company. No, that doesn*t work, they will just fire you.

Well, considering Nurse got reworked momths ago and I still get double stunned, can't move sometimes after fatigue, rapid fire record skip blink charge, randomly get denied second blinks, and lose my ability to lunge multiple times every match, I'm going to assume this won't be high priority. They have content to further break the game with
Yeah, only Behaviour could rework a killer, break them in process, and then be like "We didn't see anything ... here enjoy some more cosmetics for said killer!".

Survivors who only do generators as fast as possible and leave will also get hit by NOED and probably not pip.
NOED only punishes one of the four survivors. The other 3 will just leave as soon as they see the notification, if they are smart.
-
I assume you are talking about Nurse post-blink lunge or Hag's post-teleportation lunge?
-
@Peanits said:
I wouldn't really want to see that, personally. I definitely get the idea behind it, but you would effectively be punishing the survivors for doing well, which isn't something I think should happen.
Killers that do too well get punished by both DS, and the emblem system. Why is the same standard not applied to survivors?
-
@altruistic said:
Start the match and lunge immediately..
Why should the killer be forced to do that? Killers are already under immense time pressure in a race against the clock. Having to lunge just costs you precious seconds you could be spending pressuring gens (since survivors advice killers to do exactly that).
-
Personally playing Doctor hasn't changed much for me. I still shock survivors, and 1 second later they still put the pallet down, or vault the window. Dedicated servers killed any enjoyment I had with Doc for sure.
-
@MisterCremaster said:
What is it?
Basically your first lunge in the match is cut short to just a whiff.
-
Till the next chapter or even the next mid-chapter patch. No way its getting a hotfix.

I enjoyed it for other reasons 😏😏😏
Please elaborate.

Personally, I just want the bubbles to be transparent. Both as killer and survivor, I hate it how they obstruct the view to the important event that just happened (a survivor vaulting, hooks or unhooks). It actually hurts anyone more than it helps anyone at this point.
-
Judging by your nickname and profile picture, I would assume you enjoyed it.
But regarding the question, its only toxic if you let people bleed out intentionally. If you are slugging for pressure, then its just you playing the game optimally. Nothing wrong with that.
-
Maybe its my general nostalgia for the "old" times in the game, but I kind of miss it too. Seeing old videos of it makes me want to be a clueless noob who doesn't care about balance issues at all.
-
No. Clown is just trash-tier.
Versus any half competent survivor, he is a killer with basically no power. M1 killer in his purest form. Why anyone would play that is beyond me.
-
Its bad for you, because you will get bullied into obvlivion. Its good for the survivors, because they can show you in their sick Pro 360 MLG juck montage videos on Youtube, Twitch, and other platforms.
For the developers thats a win-win.
-
Negatively affecting survivors, will be fixed quick, don't worry mate.

Then you get to smack No0b3 in the face whenever you see a Steve running around.
This is a bad thing how?
I mean .. now that you mention it, that sounds kind of tempting, not gonna lie.
But it would probably also shine a bat light on all the non-toxic Steve mains out there.

“ToXiC” XD. He’s playing the game like 80% of survivors. Also you can learn how survivors like him play so you can counter them as killer.
I can counter them fairly well. Its just kind of stunning to see people thinking they are the big #########, because they can window tech a green rank killer.
-
@AvisDeene said:
They should just get No0b3 to do it. He did a decent job in the Samination Parody.
Yeah, let a toxic survivor main voiceact for an ingame character.
-
@Rex_Huin said:
If you combine Fired Up with Bamboozle do you vault faster than a survivor?
Fire Up, Bamboozle, Tier 3 Myers meta when??
-
You can circumvent that by lunging immediatly at the start of the match. I know this is kind of of stupid for Demogorgon, because it gives away your identity right away.
I agree it needs a fix, and can be quite frustrating for killers who haven't figured out whats causing it. But seeing as it only negatively affects killer, it will most likely take until the next chapter, or the following mid-chapter patch to get fixed.
-
@Babyyy_Boyy said:
Can you please make it so that killers get penalized for lobby dodging for no reason? Survivor que times are already horrible at the moment, and dodging makes it very frustrating just having to wait 20 minutes to get into 1 match.
Do you know the reason why survivor queue are so long? Because there are not enough killers playing at high ranks. Make a guess why.
-
@Yamaoka said:
One could also ask: "Still a 4k even though survivors managed to repair 4 gens in less than 3 minutes - how is that fair?!"
Without watching the video, that sounds like ######### survivors, who make loads of mistakes but nearly get away with it, because they are not afraid to touch generators.
No one should win a game, by just holding down 1 button.
-
This has to be a bait, please for the love of the Entity ...
-
This thread is basically, "Help, I am new and can't loop the killer at a pallet which is already in my favour. Please nerfs killers, so I don't need to learn."
-
Survivors have plenty of things that are completely uncounterable.
But Entity forbid the killer has one thing that is uncounterable.
The entitlement is real in this thread.
-
I just like the subtle "lol welcome to Dbd" comment of one of the survivors. They are like, "Yeah, we know its broken as hell, nothing new to see here."
Reminds me of McLean's comment in 2018 regarding Marth's depip squad: "Nobody said it was balanced."
