    It's a bug.

It's on my list of bugs and issues with 4.5.0. You can find a complete list below.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/226821/known-issues-with-this-update

    Oh thanks

  • most of the time the hits killers get are no different any way. if he gets that close you were gonna get hit anyways. just don't greed as much and play a lot safer.

also killer is not "easy claps" its the exact same. the hits you see on survivor side aren't the same for killer.

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

I don't know but I dig the outfit.

thanks, still trying to save up for the blighted pants or hair.

  • @ChurchofPig said:

She never died. What we see in game is what the entity did to her. Her in game lore even states "Only Sally had survived that night, but her mind was gone..." She went insane she didn't die.

at the end of her story it says "they got her into an ambulance, but that ambulance never reached the hospital. it was found crashed in a nearby wood, all the staff dead and sally nowhere to be found."

I'm pretty sure she lashed out at the people in there with her and crashed the vehicle. I think she's dead.

  • @Thunderous_670 said:

I don't think she's a ghost, she bleeds and is of flesh and bone like a human, just not exactly mortal, she's almost, angelic in a sense, she's beautiful.

oh. I saw people talking about her costume looking like a ghost and I guess that made me think she was. as well as the power to phase through the walls. but if she's not a ghost. I still think she's a tad bit inspired by a banshee.

But she isn't christian She worships a sea-goat and she thinks that the entity IS the sea goat

Yeah I knew she wasn't Christian. I just thought that the sea goat she worshipped was a God.

  • I don't really mind ruin+undying it's a really good gen pressure perk, also giving the survivors more objectives. But when you add tinkerer into it. I honestly hate it. It rewards killers that don't apply pressure letting them get to you stopping the gen. Other than that I don't mind it.

  • @Hoodied said:

    Oh man...who's gonna tell em?

    Tell me what?

i'm not pre-ordering another game again simply because of cyberjunk and resident evil 3 scam, but it does look good. that doesn't include re: verse which is beyond scuffed. it looks more scuffed than resident evil resistance

Yeah I don't think I'm gonna pre order too. After my experience after preordering the 3 remake. I didn't even get the classic jill costume. It also completely broke my playstation. Didn't even get to play resistance. But now that I look back I'm glad I didn't . Oh and re:verse it honestly looks stupid.

  • The twins terror radius, when there at a certain radius. Around eighteen or closer I think. It's when those drums start. I've even followed the killer once to listen to it. Just sounds good.

  • Like what everyone else said

pan your camera around, or run spine chill if your worried you won't spot them.

Check if there are signs of a certain killer

Listen to your surroundings. For some reason most of the stealth killers seem to be loud in other areas killers aren't for example. Micheal has loud footsteps. Ghost face has a soothing sound also with the loud foot steps. Pig has loud breathing but not as much as the other stealth killers.

Pay attention to the HUD (picture and name of the survivors in bottom left. Sadly soon to be top left.) and where your teammates are, as well as who they are. Track them. If you see a mega name blob or something run of somewhere and then get hit 5 seconds later. You know that the killer is over there and in a chase with Bob. ( since it's a mega, expect her to go down after 3 more seconds) and keep an eye out on all of the access points.

Stay on the safest side while repairing a gen, with a plan.

That all I can think of, good luck.

  • Belaive it or not I use to used to main plague, semi-main her a bit now. After all the lore I have read about her. She has sinned. Sadly she doesn't know she is. Mistaken the entity for her God and killing innocent people for her "god".

    @Chchchcheryl said:

I actually disagree with everyone saying wrath is easy Oni

wrath could easily be attributed to Charlotte and Victor after their anger and infuriation to humanity with the way they've been treated

or Evan, who brutally murdered his ill father after he (forced) him to kill all the mine workers!

    I completely agree.

  • Killer: the twins

    Build: barbecue, stbfl, brutal, ruin.

To make Charlotte just as dangerous in chase when there is none else injured around. Or making all the survivors clustered together injured in the matter of seconds. As well as removing all pallets around. Barbecue and run. So victor can pressure healthy survivors together on a gen away from the gen, regressing it and baiting them into Charlotte. By th me time ruins gone. The games already over.

  • Why is plague not in sss tier. The side Bob in the lobby should explain enough.

Oh and Charlotte is legal. Pretty sure that time passed after Victor's death. She might be around 3p if I'm correct.

  • QOL changes, health and balance, and visual updates. Not just make it look usually appealing. But also have the physics first that cosmetic. Such as nurses dress. Looks stiff and crusty as hell.

  • I main her. And play her a lot. I normally end games early from finding all the survivors together and injure them. Out comes victor. Normally leave one surviving left to get saves. But yeah I see her rarely. But if I do. It's a good one. Or it's a bad tunneling and camping one.

Not DDoS. With the new dedicated servers they shouldn't be able to see your IP in any way, and a DDoS would affect all service, not just DbD. Furthermore mobile data changed IP pretty much every time you turn it on and off.

    Servers are fucky, 100%

Ok so it is a server problem thanks for confirming.

    @kaeru said:

What a creepy pasta in last paragragh? How did they get your phone number?

You better play via ethernet cable if you don't. Wifi sometimes may cause losing packages.

I don't know. I get scammers and other phone calls from people I dont know pretty reguarly. Doesn't help that i dont know phone numbers of people either. So I just ignore the first time, hope they leave a voicemail. Confirm who it is and add them if I know them. If not. Blocked. If they spam. Blocked. Until I know who they are and If I want to talk to them. I assume it's an old friend of mine who apparently knows how to ddos. But hasn't spoken to me in ages. But I did stop being friends with them cause they're a toxic #########. Would do it. But I doubt it.

As for the ethernet cable. I forgot those existed lmao. I'll get one for sure. Maybe itpl help.

  • The twins power is not to let victor hunt every one down. It's to let her get some sleep after watching victor all day.

I can just imagine doing it with Charlotte and how awkward it would be to just see Victor staring at you the entire time.

He would probably think his sister is being attacked and kill you then and there.

But no. Why did you have to say that?. I am forever scarred.

  • I picked up on this on his release and done it two times total, And started running backwards. Can't repeat it though. Or are we talking about flicks on lunge attack?

    I'm confused.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

And to OP: thanks for making this topic. I'll be taking in all the advice because I want to learn them too. Love the concept of the killer :)

I'm glad someone else can use my thread to enjoy and learn a killer they like. There concept is really what got me to play them. A bit of the lore too.

  • I don't play on my pc but my ps4 instead. I main scarlet, Dvorah and mileena but am thinking to main rain. I would say I'm pretty decent but not a pro.

  • @Decarcassor said:

Early game you probably don't want to release Victor immediatly since the global audio cue will reveal who you are playing and put the survivors on guard.

If you find a couple of survivors, jumping on one with Victor and then going after the other with Charlotte is not a bad idea. If they kidnap Victor thats 2 survivors not working on gens, and they will be injured for later. You want to keep survivors injured as much as possible so they easily go down to Victor. You can also leave Victor as a detector in a place of interest while you patrol gens with Charlotte.

You need to carefully use both Charlotte and Victor. The brother is better at chasing, but he can't hook or damage generators and does not trigger most perks. You don' want to stray too far from the sister or survivors will just recover or finish generators before she can reach them.

The worst thing you can do with the twins is chasing survivors one by one. While survivors are uninjured, you are just and M1 killer. And if you send Victor at them and they don't crush him... you are still a basic M1 killer. Keep switching targets, keep them injured and keep them confused. Take full advantage of being able to be in two places at once.

Thanks, I've used this and some of it above and I'm having great games. Thanks for the help.

  • @SweetTerror said:

Tofu uploaded a video about a week ago detailing the best way to play (so far) with The Twins. As someone already mentioned, he said that you use Charlotte to injure, and then use Victor to down. Victor has permanent 150% movement speed, and he has built-in bloodhound which is very useful on an injured survivor. And since Charlotte is a standard m1 killer, it's best to use perks that benefit that play style. Perks like brutal strength and endearing is not a bad choice, however I would say that sloppy butcher is a must.

Another tip that Tofu mentioned was that you can use Victor as a way to guard hexes like devour hope. You're stuck using Charlotte all game, but Victor helps to ensure that your hex is always protected. You just need to be sure to hide him well.

I'll go and watch it soon. The devour style seems fun, except for the m1 all game part. But still might try it lol.

Alright, don't come crying to me when you realize how absolutely miserable Twins are.

No it's ok. I just had two good games with them. And If i was to complain and ask advice from someone. It wouldn't be you. Thanks for the help.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1821619#Comment_1821619

Bad idea. It's not like Nurse or Blight where you secretly unlock their top-tier potential. You either slug and camp and sweat like your life depends on it, or you're the worst Killer in the game. No in-between. They're an unfinished, unfun, unhealthy mess.

Source: I am a Twins main.

Thanks I know it's a bad Idea, but still. I will decide to main them even if its unhealthy. I'll slug and camp of o need to but I won't do it constantly. Thanks for the help.

  • @TrialByFire476 said:

I went against a Twins player last night and they would injure someone and then use Victor to down them. So that might work for you, too.

I've tried that but recently, survivors started learning to get in pairs. So yeah they figured that out. But still thanks for the help.

  • @GodLikeTerror said:

Try to get 2 early hits as soon as the game starts as charlotte do not use corrupt on the twins it actually makes early game worse, and the early game is the biggest part for the twins. Use discordance very useful on them. Once you get those early hits bring out victor and down the 2 injured people. Once those 2 are slugged try to find someone else and throw victor on them. Hook one person if you can. Most likely the 2nd one slugged will be picked up. By that time if the person hasn't thrown victor off try to track down the 2 injured people and bring out victor because by that time they most likely won't have time to recover healing. And try to down those 2 and throw victor on the last person if you see them at all. Early hits with charlotte is a big deal with twins, and can win you the game early. I have yet to lose a game doing the idea of what I told you to do. This is at red ranks even against swf's with object I have yet to lose.

I normally hit one and then let victor out but recently found it a pain. I used do as you said hit two people and let victor out. I don't know why I stopped nor forgot about and will go back to this playstyle. I'll try discordance and slug a bit more. Thanks for the help.

  • @Heartbound said:

I just use Victor as a scout by putting him in high traffic areas and letting killer instinct tell me when survivors are in that area. However I think I'm the only one that plays the twins like that. A lot of people seem to enjoy running around with Victor and downing multiple people before going back to Charlotte while I primarily play her.

If you get right up on a survivor with Victor you'll always hit your pounce with him.

I like Deathbound since it lets you know where survivors are. STBFL is so-so, but as soon as I say that someone will sing its praises.

I've always found pallet perks like that setup iffy because with them, instead of getting discouraged and dropping a chase, you'll continue to chew up pallets and chase that same survivor. If that survivor is taking you on a map tour early into the game that can really compromise your chances of winning. It may work for you though so don't take that as gospel. I'd consider any gen defense perk because well. You're red rank. you know why.

Yeah I've seen other people do it too, your radar seems like an ok game style though. I might try it. And as for the victor running right up to them I got that part covered. Thanks for the help.

  • @Demogordon_Ramsay said:

    Go play someone else.

Thanks, but no. I've decided to main them and learn them even if it puts me through a world of suffering. I'll learn them one way or another.

  • Greed -clown: a fat man who will ruin other people's lives and careers, just to satisfy himself by taste and collect fingers/appendages.

Lust -freddy for being a pedo. But if it were to based on the original characters idk.

Pride -plague: a woman proud of her work to the gods and her devotion to fulfilling the tasks.

Gluttony -blight: a man who has a infinite need for blight serum. Killing people in order to gain some.

Sloth -trapper: for hes lack of effort in killing survivors , resulting hooks in the back. Even though the reason he lacks effort is because of his reluctance to abide the entity, and sloth is actually laziness. It the closest I could get. Also his power is shows his lack of effort in chases, relying on traps.

Envy -nurse: due to her husband's death, she grew jealous and killed others in a "merciful" manne, to what she believes is "setting them free" from the pain she suffers from grieving her husbands death. Showing her jealousy in there happiness.

Wrath -twins: after how humanity has treated them. They now despise all, showing vengance and anger at all after their death of the mother, followed by victor. Causing Charlotte to kill all who stand in her way.

  • @Cristia1V0 said:

Mine would be an offering (very rare) where it was possible to kill the killer and beat them at theyre own game and have them dead by daylight instead of the other way around (it would be very difficult to pull off because there would be skill checks that are hard to perform)

    A 2 vs 8 mode

If not a game mode for killers to fight to the death.

  • Since I don't know if there is any other Easter eggs then the one mentioned in Hawkins. You can blink into the cages in dead dog saloons exit gate, on the sides. Useless. But still cool I guess.

What are your steam profile settings? If you´ve given your clear name there and set your profile to "public" they may very well have checked you out.

If you did not give your personal information via steam, yes, you may want to be worried.

Oh ok I put my settings public and put down my personal name. Phew thank God. I removed my real name and just left it blank. Thanks for responding.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

I figured that out when it was used on me!

I have a list of things you can do against the twins, i'm just waiting until the hotfix to see what changes.

Ooh that would be good, it'll also help me reflect and prepare on what to do against smart survivors. Plus it would also help survivors understand how to play against them besides of dc'ing and killing themselves on hook. Cant wait!

  • @Shirokinukatsukami said:

That sounds less like a "huge counter" to the twins and more a learn to play issue for the killer player.

Yeah I just did it so that people who weren't aware such as my self. Would know that you can do this. But yeah I know to stay away from pallets when dormant.

    I'll change it to " minor punishment/counter".

  • @MadLordJack said:

I have heard but never seen, so thanks for the additional testimony

    Glad I could help

It's news to me so thanks!

    Your welcome.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

Yeah this is known. Charlotte standing dormant in a pallet is a really dumb thing for that player to do.

Yeah I wonder who would do that? *sweats nervously*

Nah but seriously, I never knew lol, and neither did most survivors so that's why i probably got so stunned when it happened.

  • @HittingOnHook said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/211622/gotta-love-getting-pounced-by-victor-while-in-a-locker

one question... can a Head On hit block Viktor in the air while he is attacking?? what is the result?

    A) Viktor gets crushed (and you do not get hit)

    B) You get hit (and Viktor not crushed)

    C) No effects

    D) Both get crushed + hit

    E) Game CRASH

Pretty sure its gonna be D.

  • I'm pretty sure that hex totems burn, since when a survivor is working on one, they make little noises like *oof*. And for the dolls idk there. But they could also be held together pretty well.

And for the victor part. Victor is literally trying to kill them, so they'll trie to remove him the fastest way easier or die. And since the totems are strongly held and have no threat towards them they will take a little time to ensure its broke.

  • I'm on PC, and I can do it. Just mash w fast (around the same for struggle on hook). viola! happy feet dance!

  • I like her lullaby. They could of have her like a siren skin for the Greek legends showcase. And even change the lullaby.

  • Wait I thought people knew this? Any way another counter to them is to actually stalk victor from a distance. I know, I know it sounds stupid. Why would you follow the killer? Because he is vulnerable the second the player takes Charlotte. And will prevent further use of him. Plus charlotte will probably be across the map. Giving you time to heal.

Another counter is to actually help the slugged survivors. The amount of times I've seen survivors hide, even though they're healthy, is stupid. And can negate their pressure.

And don't be afraid to protect fellow injured survivors. A single health state for a period of time controlled by you, is a lot better than a mass genocide and immense pressure. Also stay away from other survivors when he's on your back. Your giving her information.

  • To show the survivors what type of killer I am. For instance if i see a nurse with the widows skin, they are usually a good one. Or if I go against a huntress in a full blight skin, they're usually newer to the game. Hence why I wear my nurse with the veil. To show that I know how to play her and you will most likely lose.

Oh and to kill them with a cool skin and astonish them with my cool skin, cover Charlotte's troglodyte of a face (even though I man her and find nothing wrong with her), or any other killer.

  • Nurse's blinks are always shortened when blinking in the main building of Ormand, or around it

  • @Wesker09 said:

Like really? Do we have to drag the game out for so long that you have to slug for the 4k like is it that important? So often they do this and they don't know where the last survivor is like what's the point? If you slug me and don't know where the other survivor is i'm taking the dc penalty idc i'm not gonna sit around and bleed to death

Sure I get that it's boring, but hey. Maybe they had a rough few games and want a simple 4k? And if you find that boring... rat out the survivor by crawling to them hahaha .nah don't do that, you could but the last survivor might be pretty angry. The best thing to do is wait under a hook. And get a sandwich or something if you don't really want to wait. Try wasting all the the pallets left on the mall and try to avoid the killer as much if there are two of you left. If there arnt any pallets, well better hope the killer doesn't care for a 4k

Yes it was for a new MMR system, they disabled it to work on it more and it doesn't require a patch to turn that off and on. The killer lock mechanism requires a patch to turn it off and on and they don't see the point in disabling it just to re-enable it later.

Ah thanks for helping me understand.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1796027#Comment_1796027

    Very faulty system then.

Just bought Blight and the first game I got is Survivors who clearly know what they're doing with established perks then when I used my Oni who has a lot of wins prior to me quitting its nothing but baby dwights. So I think I'll consider that they removed it lol

Yeah it backfired on them pretty hard. Sometimes I got the most cutest survivors who get destroyed, only for me to realise that there only rank 17. Was the killer truly the monster... or was it me.

But besides that, don't give up. Sometimes you'll get the ultimate sweat lords. Challenging but teach you a lot. Or you get the calm and relaxing games with decent survivors m, but not good enough to stress you out. Still learning just not as much. After I play a game against a bunch of sets or sweat lords, even professional survivors that destroyed me. I'll reflect on what I can do. And make the game more fun next time. Just keep going and reflect. :)
