I'm a Legion main and I like to see most of the threads that appear on the forum about the killer.
But one thing about them is that when anyone asks "Why did Legion get his fatigue increased to 4 seconds from 3?" the answer from the devs is always "Because they are a 4.6 m/s killer and the power would be too oppressive in chase and the survivor gets almost no time to run away to a pallet or window."
I got intrigued if it is really that bad to have a 3 seconds cooldown, so I decided to test that with a friend of mine. These videos are purely to measure the distance that the survivor gets when Legion cancels frenzy right behind the survivor so no mindgames or anything else like that matters here (in the second one i used shadowborn oops). I also recorded them in a kinda realistic scenario.
For the people who might say "But they had the speed boost from the hit" - I only cancelled the frenzy when I was very very close to the survivor so they had no speed boost there.

I think that 3 seconds fatigue is more than enough for a survivor to run away to safety from the killer.
The cooldown add-ons could just be reworked into something completely different.
Tell me your opinion about this.
You could be stunned for 5 or 6 seconds. Or just 4 💃

trapper and wraith need some mori rework. Their mories are so old and so old school.
I would like for trapper something like this:
The survivor stands up(like Freddie's mori) and step on a trap then the killer smack him and he dies
Or the survivor could stand like you said in a trap, but after he kicks them they fall, still in the trap breaking their leg. After that he just goes to the poor survivor and places trap over their head. Boom.

being fed a free pallet? and having a survivor reveal their location?
Oh that's the good part about it but it always scares me though.
-
Nah that doesn't scare me. The only thing that scares me is when you patrolling and out of nowhere a survivor drops a pallet on me, then I jump. God I hate that.
-
Nurse and bubba. Strongest with the worst. Blinks up to you and one shots. If you miss a chainsaw blink, massive cooldown punshment.

Based on the live stream and Fibijean's post on it. There is no indication that there will be cross-play and progression with mobile. Only Pc and Consoles. So it answers your other question too.
Ok thanks for answering.

Hag would get dropped by anyone. Plague would vomit on everyone and kill everyone slowly but surely be dead before that.Huntress has skills, dont beleaive me watch her rift animation. Oni is experienced and could potentially win. Freddy could also be invincible when there asleep. Doc cant sleep from those eye things but his power would be worthless against nurse since she's already crazy. Nurse could get a few hits but be swept when hit. Clown could bring people to the ground but do nothing with that trash knife. Trapper is a bully dude but cant do much just swing a machete as he'll get git from behind trying to trap. Billy would now down most competitors. If wraith got caught, he'd be gone. Legion together could get one person at least but get killed instantly due to their trash power. Ghost face is useless. Spirit might be unstoppable. Myers is strong af and might also win. Bubba is lethal but isn't smart enough to survive. Pyramid head would just decapitate most people. If Salinger shot the wrong person like Micheal, Micheal will pull the slinger to him anbl break his other leg and more. Demo is dangerous but fragile. Pig would would also die.
Out of all of that I think the winner would be in imo... blendette self caring in a corner of the map. You just wasted your time reading this.

I bet we get crossplay, but not carry-over accounts.
Don't jinx it.

Same here as well I hope it does happen I'm about to get a pc and leave ps4 for a bit to learn experience better aim with nurse, huntress and plague and when I move over I want all my perks, cosmetics, acheivements ( not that I actually care about acheivements) and other stuff.
I cant leave elephant clown!

As far as I know they're planning to add cross progression, but haven't started do do anything in this direction until now. Cross play and cross friends have the higher priority. I think your question can not be answered.
Ok I'll just wait until crossplay is implemented to ask. Thanks for replying.
-
For the nurse when. And they cant say because of nudity cause hag to tiddie showing.
-
Obviously demo boy is gonna have a xenomorph skin. Because if he was in the game there power would be the same.

I already called it in a thread asking who the most broken killer is. I said "The next one".
Yeah I remember seeing that lol

Yeah I'll probably watch it then

Mobile team have tried to stop camping and teach survivors to ignore and do gens as loading tips. But ever since that came out more people camped, but the survivors learnt and did punish the killer for it. At least most of them. I know its mobile and a different team but they did try this to stop camping and if it worked they might have even tried this on all other platforms. They're trying just not as focused on it.

Maybe the killers power becomes covered in blood and maybe survivor items become covered in blood as well. Although it wouldn't with some powers like nurses blinks, unless her blinks were orbs of blood. But otherwise:
Trapper: bloody traps
Wraith: bloody bell
Hillbilly: bloody chainsaw
Nurse: as I said earlier or maybe blood trials when blinking?
Micheal: another example of this not working.
Huntress: bloody hatchets.
Hag: bloody traps
Leatherface: also bloody chainsaw
Freddy: another example of this not working.
Pig: bloody rbt
Doctor: unless somehow the electricity becomes red, another reason it can't work.
Clown: bloody bottles or red gas.
Spirit: cant
Legion: another problem
Plague: bloody vomit (bits of blood in her vile vomit or veins on infected survivors) or fountains.
Ghostface: another issue.
Demo: bloody portals.
Oni: bloody kanabo.
Deathslinger: bloody spear and chain?
Probably not possible but a fun idea. Sorry if you read all of this.😋
-
Plague is underrated. In the right hands she can destroy survivors.
-
Have you seen huntress's lore? She destroyed soldiers.
-
Are you a plague main? Cause I'm intoxicated with love.

So I was playing on Springwood (which one, I can't remember, sorry) just finished a gen in the houses basement, and I found this.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/090/MF4TH7KDNSMZ.jpg
I couldn't make out too much of it, aside from "Anxiety anxiety" a word that starts with an all cap "DECON" and continues in lowercase, and the other thing that I COULD read, was "Rebecca Caldwell"
The image on the clipping looks (to Me) like the Wraith in front of a full moon of sorts. Though, the shoulders, and waist seem a bit puffy for the Wraith...
I know some devs enjoy Stephen King's works, and the only thing horror related with her name was a character on "The Dead Zone" show, where she is a Child Psychiatrist.
Any ideas what this could be about? Or is this just something that's always been in the game that hasn't been noticed?
I'm pretty sure it's been in the game since the release of the Halloween update. I could be wrong since I didn't play back then, but you can find similar pictures of the cold wind blimp or farm house in picture frames in the buildings. I'm pretty sure that the person is suppose to be wraith as a little Easter egg.
-
I mainly play killer so here of some of my favourite killers. And sorry for the poor photos.
EDIT: I don't know how I forgot my main lol.
-
I made a thread about huntress's inspiration. She seems to resemble a lot of features with the urban legend " the bunny man ". They both wear white rabbit masks. Both throw hatchets at unsuspecting people for fun. Both raid villages with an axe and lives in the woods. But I got told from someone that killers are made from multiple inspirations, so huntress's mask might be from what your talking about. Who knows?

Not really that scary. But then again, I'm an Australian and have had a Redback Spider (Black Widow for all the Americans out there) fight a Sydney Funnel Web and win, so you stop being scared of most things after that.
I'm from Australia too I know what you mean about it not being that scary just didn't know how to word it at that time. Probably dreadful for the children to think that if they put their arm off of the bed it just gets teared off. Definitely going to help them sleep.

If I remember correctly she was inspired by a Russian urban legend instead, which is what her lullaby is based off of. Both the lullaby in the myth and her lullaby are the same, just obviously different people singing it.
I know what her lullaby is from but what is the name of the russian myth you said she was inspired or partly inspired from?
@MerGirl2003 said:
I’ve always thought Huntress was inspired by the Bunny Man, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one!
I've only found out about him recently. They both do share similar features.

Every killer draws inspiration from all over, obviously. It makes them feel real, and draws from familiarity to drop all kinds of horror genres into the game. A lot of the early killers can be connected to something more directly than some of the more recent ones which took their own, but they all still have their own special charm and twist to them!
I'll have to look into Bunny Man though, seems very interesting
Yeah he's quite interesting. I'll probably look into him more to see if they had anything else in common.

Her lullaby is an actual Russian lullaby named Bayu Bayushki Bayu. It's a folk lullaby warning kids not to sleep with their limbs hanging over the edge of their beds or wolves will come and get them. Pleasant, huh!
I knew her lullaby was Russian but never actually bothered to what it meant. That would be scary to think that as a child.

Plague. Have you seen her before she had the plague!

Had a game three days ago and I was playing huntress (on ps4) to try and get cross maps and wild shots. It was at the end of the game. We were at azarovs resting place. I had two kills and had Kate on my shoulder. Zarina ran from the side I was on to the other for the gates. I place kate on her second hook and see zarina with barbecue. So I was on the middle of the side with main building? I see zarina running down the end of middle and I decided to just go for it. I threw the hatchet and waited. I didn't hear the splat and thought I missed. Next second I heard it and saw her icon change to injured. Kate decide to stop struggling and died. I went for another shot but didn't get it but was close and zarina got out. I went to clip it to show to my brother who liked watching me play. When I went to show him it later was just a screen shot of brutal killer. I was so pissed. My only good cross map shot.

I think killer's plenty fun. I just want sounds to work how they used to instead of being blocked by walls.
That and I'd love more BM options as killer. Killer emotes when? I'd take those over charms any day.
Clown default dances on downed survivor.

So thanks to the recent sensitivity changes, the nurse can now fully turn during a blink.
I've never played on pc so I didn't realise how handicapped she was on console until now, she's almost like a new killer. It really blew me away lol
I look forward to playing her more often and I'm wondering if we'll see more nurses now on console.
Yeah I am so good now. I've been restricted by the old sense missing hits. Now I just get messages doing how am I so good at her. Man she is way better without the slow turning. I can't emphasize how good she is now. THANK YOU BEHAVIOR!

We're never going to find out.
This person is probably sleeping now and this thread will get dumped by the sands of the forum.
I think he's talking about people on the corner of the map self caring instead of unhooking. I could be wrong maybe he is confused with sole survivor.

Plague.
Deletes stealth. Deletes healing. Turns every match into an infinite tier 3 Myers game. Has an ability that takes absolutely zero aiming skill to use and goes over many obstacles.
I'd rather face literally anything else instead of a Plague.
Scared of us plague mains? Btw some good plagues use good aim to get a full infect with a basic attack after but yeah I get the rest.
-
Good idea but the vengeful full awaking perk could be overpowered if I read It correctly. Killer could just slug an have a speed boost until every one is dead slugged and then gg. But definitely wouldn't mind if she was added.
-
That was the infinite of the saloon? I always thought it was:
Go inside bottom floor
Run up the stairs and fast vault the window
Run to the right and run down the stairs
Turn right into a door way and run Into the middle room
Then vault the window near the piano
This could be easily counted breaking the wall near the top of the stairs, so I wouldn't run it that much and if I did I never got caught. so I would use it once to gain distance and find a new area cause as a killer main I find infinites annoying af.

I actually hadn't considered this part of the M1 Killer argument before. You are right, though, he is the only one without any 1v1 tools. And while it isn't a gamestopping tool, i feel like as long as you've spread around a couple stabs before committing to a chase, Mending, healing, and potentially Thanatophobia/Sloppy Butcher are enough of stalling tools to mitigate the time wasted by the loops a survivor could get in. And as for the fatigue, I do really think it's both annoying and a big reason i lose chases when i do, but it's one of those elements that if it were 2-3 seconds default, and you still had the Cold Dirt and Joey's Mixtape, it would feel unfair for the survivor.
I've been playing a few more games, watching a few more videos, and i gotta say i was wrong about how it doesn't matter that Frenzy has weird restrictions. The general consensus I've seen is it's a relic of release Legion (cough cough Frank's Mixtape), but yes, I do think you're right, and that it really isn't needed/helping anyone.
Again, you have a point, but i think this one is slightly dulled by some of their addons. Both of the iridescent add-ons give Frenzy a new utility (gen awareness and survivor paranoia/pallet counter), but you could even make the argument that the detection increase, while not helping you secure hits, give's you decent ideas of where to look for survivors who think they're out of range, or that the duration can serve to disrupt things a little more. In general though, yeah, their power is a one trick pony. I personally just think the trick is decent enough that that is fine.
The short answer for the plague is i feel it rewards her for doing next to nothing and punishes survivors for mistakes that essentially came down to luck. I'm in the process of researching numbers and watching plague videos to put together the post, but in general i feel Plague is too rewarding to unskilled play (not saying she's easy to play, i sure couldn't pick her up and 4k, but those who are good at her i feel just have it easy).
What do you mean she rewards unskilled play?you can even get pusinshed for skilled play with her which results as a low amount of blood points and brutal killer or a depip (not that rank matters). if a player is good at someone like billy, of course their going to find it easy. they're used to that character and put time and effort into them knowing most counters and predictions of the survivors upon action.
Sorry that this is unrelated but she is definitely not rewarding for unskilled play.
-
@Mister_xD said:
i dont know what it is, she is just not that appealing to most players...
i think my personal main problem with her is tha lack of map pressure / game stall abilities.
most killers can injure survivors and force them to heal, wasting a lot of time in the process. Plague however literally denies that mechanic, so no one does it and they instead fix gens.
plague tends to get genrushed very easily, at least in my experience :/
At rank 1 genrush happens sometimes but I've learnt to early full infect on everyone if not 2 survivors and then a quick down and then slug and keep going until they give me more pools for later otherwise I win. If they're good survivors I don't slug and just get the hooks.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Plag, I just find her gameplay boring, but I still play her sometimes.
With the update she got I think she is a good Killer.
Yeah there are points where I'll play nurse to have a break sometimes and get more BP.
@Aven_Fallen said:
I think Plague was a good Killer since she got released. But I am not a big fan of her, because I think she is quite boring to play. This opinion came before the recent Buff of giving her one Corrupted Fountain at the start, but for me it was kinda boring to puke on everyone until they are broken and then basically dont have a power anymore. Sure, everyone is Oneshot and this is good, and like I said, she is a good Killer, but it made her boring for me.
Also I am not a big fan of her Add Ons since things like Vile Purge effectiveness are only good until everyone is broken or things that affect her Corrupt Purge might not even come into effect (when not using an apple).
I dont have any Levels on her currently (she is P3-1), but maybe my opinion will change now that she got at least one fountain to use.
Not long a ago I decided not to use addons because I never found the vile purge effective. it dosnt help me, since I'm on console and my aim isn't like PC players but I found if you can get a full stream of unaddons vile will get them sick after like a second.
@remoirel said:
I love Plague, but i play Killer for farming bp, and i find her to struggle getting points, especially in deviousness. Unless you have a game where survivors cleanse left and right and you're constantly hitting them with corrupt purge, she's struggling to hit 20k at the end of a game.
Yeah the BP is pretty hard to get with her I just puke on thing i go past outside of chase or go and play nurse.
