Yeah sorry, I thought that was a given since the topic of this thread is about long queue times for killer while 2v8 is active. Yeah, in normal dbd without 2v8 around, killer queues are amazing but when 2v8 is active killer queues for both modes are horrible. This is why I said I be will be taking a break from the game till 2v8 is over.
Totally random, but did you play survivor today as a Sable on Yamaoka?
-
I haven't played it enough yet, but Medic and guide needed some love they were the weakest classes last go round.
Survivors seem to have this issue of healing under hook, which is bad because 2v8 has lots of fast killers and we all kbow cage logic by now so I think it's fine that Medic is better. I think Survivors should start relocating more though because praying that a Blight won't beeline a cage is rather optimistic

Kinda tells what survivors you were matched with if you managed to win with team mate killers like trapper.
There's nothing wrong with Trapper if you know how to play m1 and use the Haste
-
I looooooved the first time it was oodles of fun. That and MLO were peak.
This 2v8 is still fun, I just was hoping its be more ambitious the 2nd time around. I want my license content

Wow, Scout got gutted. It barely provides information anymore. Zero reason to play it… I'm still frustrated they seem to think Urban Evasion is any use whatsoever in a game that is pure chases and minimal hiding, especially when killers get loads of aura reading.
Restoring pallets might be interesting, but that isn't worth half as much as telling the team where killers are in a mode so chaotic it's very difficult to tell what's going on otherwise. I'm happy with the Medic change, but this one ain't it.
Edit: Did my first match and Scout still seems to provide aura read, even if it's not mentioned in the overview. However, the Blight-Billy combo is horrible to play against so far.
Urban is bad to use a perk slot for,but when it's free it's actually super comfy. It's a life saver against Huntress.

Also going to be hopping off DbD for a while.
Not interested in 15 minute queues again.
The trick is to queue up then go to thr bathroom, have a smoke and chat with family
-
Isn't spirits audio still bugged? That skin was the only reason I would have played her because that plus comms seems like she's a terrible 2v8 killer
-
insert Danny DeVito voice
So anyways, I activate Reassurance...
-
Might be due to Franklins and item droppers? Franklins used to work on pinhead but it was actually a trap perk because, I forget the specifics but iirc picking up a Franklins box wasn't as valuable as finding it yourself not to mentioning stopping chase to pick it up

Us oldies don't have the twitch reflexes but we have the Art of War under our belt
-
It's all just confirmation bias
-
Now we have Fixated on Scout? Oh yes, these Blights about to get juiced
When I play killer I'm just gonna do what I did last time; have a smoke break and use the bathroom, maybe do s9me dishes. These 2v8 queues got me productive
-
She seems decent enough. I used to main old new Legion, so yeah.
If anything it's give me piece of mind that I won't get attached to something that could be removed
I won't even try to gauge her power level, but anybody in Blitzcrank tier is good on my books

Huh?! Pharmacy changes I somehow missed? Could you please paste them here?!
II'm At work but long story short, the injured requirement has been reverted :)
I can now take my medicine kit any time and do with it as I please, instead of only grabbing it when I'm in trouble

Alien and Pinhead the 2 most fun?
Hehe, VERy different from mine. I think the two most fun we have are Freddy and Myers.
To play against, of course. If we're talking about playing killer, then I like Freddy and Knight.
Am I weird for preferring to be in the Dream World? I feel like I have a hard time tracking Fredster while awake
-
I only have a limited amount of hype so I don't mind rationing some of it for fnaf I need a Lil break anyways grinding for True Form plus 2v8 is coming I don't mind if a chapter is a bit low key

A terrible design, in my opinion.
But generally speaking this is not the kind of killer design I enjoy playing against. And it doesn't seem to be an unpopular opinion.
At least now I have a better idea of what to do against it.
What's bad about it, though? Against good survivors they just refuse to interact with you, do gens, call you out and leave.
The existence of Alien adds a new dynamic to the game without outright putting a gun to survivors heads. The biggest downside though would be for solo play, as you never know what you'll get team wise but even for solo Alien can be nice by setting up giant neon signs saying "COME LOOP HERE" it's like a basekit Windows but with the power to reset chase
I'm biased though, I think Alien and Pinhead are 2 of the most fun killers we have i admit it
-
The chase is already half won or lost by the time you enter chase. You need to preemptively invest your time in base kit "sprint bursts"with the turrets.
SSurvivors Who try to ignore their power typically hates facing Alien but as they say, you can lead a Meg to water but you can't make her drink

So, in Little League, do they teach students to "go easy on the other team to avoid making them feel bad" just because it's not pro sports? Just because it’s a 1v4 doesn’t mean the single player has to hold back. It’s not the killer's responsibility to ensure a fun experience for the survivors. The killer isn’t the caretaker or parent of the survivors—they’re also just regular players trying to enjoy the game.
If you’re going to bring up the idea of a “fun experience for all players,” then survivors would also need to consider the killer's “fun experience” by evenly repairing all seven generators without trying to t-bag or flashlight-stun.
And as for so-called "cheap tactics," the game’s system doesn’t prohibit any of them. Are you saying tunneling should result in a ban? Slugging? Generators being repaired quickly? None of these claims make sense. In strategy, there’s no such thing as "dirty" or "clean" tactics.
It's not about going easy it's about hitting above the belt.
If you ever get into a street fight, it's assumed you don't go below the belt because that's when buddy will draw a knife.
Good sportsmanship helps keep games alive. Dbd is already notorious for poor new player retention
-
With nothing to stop this all we can do is discourage this by making them have just as much fun as the rest of us.
"I'm not responsible for your fun because I'm entitled to 4k because only winning is fun" ok well I'm entitled to escape so if I have to keep dropping items in the corner until you leave my gen or until the server closes thats what I'll do. Oh, but I can't do that that's not fun for killer i should just stand still and let the killer down me but teehee oops nah now that I gave up the killers free to bleed me out and sexually harass my survivor because there's nobody to punish that sleazy sportsmanship
I'm that punisher. Killers blow up my xbox dms but none of them have a response to "shoulda just hooked bro"

I hope Vecna gets his Mage Hand nerfed a bit so you can't get guaranteed hits with it as often.
Vecna is not guaranteed. If you read him you're perfectly fine. If you predict wrong every time then sure I guess it's guaranteed but rhats where empathy comes in.
-
Not gonna lie I'm anxious bout the upcoming scene Partner changes. I swapped out Distortion for it so if I lose that too I'll be sad
-
Killers were already slugging but now the "mask is off" and now they are just shameless about it.
Now we just have to be humped while survivor #3 dies and we have to like it

What's the term for when something gets removed so the game can be better?
Oh yeah, killswitch. The best Cenobite change would be a permanent killswitch
Pinhead easy to juke and he's fun to mess with. What's wrong with Seeker of Pleasure #5? As Seeker of Pleasure #1 I think it's hilarious to dangle his precious box like a ball of yarn to a kitty kat
Way more fun than versing Clown or Wraith

And their build falls flatter than a plate full of piss if they're found first and hooked. Then Deliverance never gets activated, highlighting the risk of it being a wasted perk slot most trials.
Most killers these days are on Lethal; i think just not getting caught 2 seconds in is indeed an aligning of the stars as far as Deliverance/Wicked is concerned
-
Memes. Or science.
-
One, I guess. But I'm too shy to reach out and send an invite so I still just roll solo anyways
-
When nemmy was new I played him so much that I had a 1st person dream and was whipping people on cronus prenn
Thankfully the dream survivors didn't crouch tech that would just be mean

I think Sadako can eith a TV addon but alas it's a gf..

Sometimes I wish matches in this game were a bit longer. Like, I wish everything just took longer, you know? Gens, hook-states, etc. Probably an unpopular opinion but it's depressing how some matches I don't even get to try whatever silly build I'm running either because everyone is dead in like 5 minutes or because gens fly and suddenly the exit gates are powered.
Old dbd was harder for Killers but at least pre 6.1 there was some slight room to breathe. Survivors didn't have the anxiety they do nowadays.
After 6.1, there was like a 2 week honeymoon period where killers thought life was good, but then survivors stopped horsing around and then we were back at Square 1 as survivors made up for their nerfs by just prioritizing objectives.
-
Attack on Titan is easily my favourite....I wished and prayed like a fool for Eren Jeager to be added to dbd he was my dream survivor. I'm just happy they added him, but man I wish he was Legendary, seeing him with Dwights animations is silly
But this beggar ain't a chooser, people called me crazy for daring to dream
-
The Armoured Titan
-
Plague is a killer you play to win with and ignore particular survivor metas while ignoring things like BP...or fun :P
I'd recommend Surge though, that perk helps make up for some BP by being efficient

@foods said:
3k might be a win but 4k is a better win, why not go for it
why take a 5-10 minute 3k match and consistently increase the length by possibly half every game by wasting everybody's time with a pointless 2v1?
Hatchescapes mean nothing. Hatch is just the games " going into time" just for the sake of us all moving on with our lives, because humans have a finite lifespan.
At some point it becomes a joke.
-
@Xernoton said:
I will never understand how this is so horrible for solo queue. You can't hide the entire game so the killer might actually find you and hook you instead of your teammates.
How is that bad? The less targets the killer can find the less they will spread hooks.
Aura perks are not the reason you die. It's the fact, that you rely on a perk to not get found in the first place. Learn how to delay a killer in chase. That's a gamechanger.
Auras work the other way too; i may be nice one moment, but if an aura shows me somebody worth tunneling or camping I'll drop the chase I'm currently in to remove that poor aura from the game.
-
If you get blinded at a pallet as Legion you can insta tap the survivor from the other side, downing them if they are injured.
Some Survivors will literally test you to see if you know it and gauge how good of a Legion you are.
It's buggy though, sometimes you get weird glitches
-
Pinhead with a hex build feels completely in character
You don't likePentimento? you dont like screaming when the box or totem is 99% done? Oh please, no tears…they are a waste of good suffering.

I had a Felix once whose ping skyrocketed to 10 thousand once.
Somehow, defying all understanding, he actually did not dc, and played out the match. Of course, he didn't last long, but somewhere I have to respect the hustle.
I hopped in a locker once at 11,000 ping and I got permanently trapped in a locker. Not even being grabbed and hooked could get me out of the locker lmao

Wait, does it actually prioritize where the Killer is or is that just biased hearsay?
Up until about 2 years ago, you used to be able to "feel" the hatch at any point in the game. Some killers could bump into it. It's 100% fixed

Glad you're enjoying wolf form. Almost every Dark Lord encounter is just bat and Dracula rotation.
This is why i started doing it. I may use wolf once per match normally.
I'm a little depressed though, I think Wolf is easily Draculas weakest form but playing it exclusively is fun though, and rn I'm performing better as Barkula than Nemesis. That just feels wrong to me especially after he got nice buffs.
-
I think the way dbd is designed just makes it easy to lash out like a toddler. My theory is that it has to due with how the game dispenses dopamine. Maybe the BHVR in BHVR is a subtle nod that they are a psyop company disguised as a video game conpany (this is sarcasm)

Punishment of the Damned is infinitely superior to Hellfire and Phasewalk is more Lethal than Bats. And wolf is wolf.
Just listing abilities doesn't paint the full picture.
-
I don't think it makes much of a difference. If survivors arm themselves like Americans there's no "weak link" but if they embrace socialism then everyone even the weak links can benefit.
It's really about how you use your perks and comes down to personal philosophy. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer.
I do think overall, we are better off helping each other with Bond than helping ourselves with self care. But that's what I like about perks...you can lean into your strength or bandaid your shortcomings. You can focus on early game, mid game or end game...focus on yourself or help others...
Helping others hinges upon your team operating in good faith; some days you just can't blame people for falling back on Wake Up+ Sole Survivor
