I really, really hate it too!
I don’t understand why they would display information that serves absolutely no purpose. -
I remember the character/player names in the lobby being made smaller before because they were considered too large and received a lot of criticism. Why have they been made larger again?
In lobbies with characters that have long names, the current size makes the UI really difficult to read. It’s especially, really, really bad with multibyte character languages such as Japanese. The font is also very thin, which makes it even harder to read.
There is a UI Scale slider, but the options are grouped into such broad ranges that it doesn’t really solve the problem. I’m perfectly fine with the current size of the other UI elements, such as the menu screen, but in order to make the text readable, I’m forced to shrink other parts of the UI as well.
Behavior, if you want to keep the menu text at its current size, I think the UI Scale slider needs to offer much more granular control — perhaps something as fine-tuned as the Aura color settings.
And the new Ready button is really, really awful as well.
It’s huge, yet the only information it provides is a pointless stopwatch and a checkmark that blends into the background and is difficult to see. What is the point of the stopwatch? I want to know the estimated time until I find a match. I don’t need a visual representation of how much time I have already wasted waiting.
Please just bring back the old Ready button. It was much clearer and more useful.

This situation has persisted since March. The Home section links to https://forums.bhvr.com/BHVR, and users do not have permission to do anything on this URL.
-
It works if everyone speaks the same language, but on servers with multiple languages, it’s hard to communicate over voice chat.

Decoupled the Undetectable status effect from Deploying a Drone.
Gain Undetectable when Recalling a Drone instead. For now, could you please revert this update? I don’t even understand what it’s supposed to mean—it only makes the QoL worse.

I love her.
I’ve loved everything about her since her release.
As a woman, I really admire strong female characters.
That’s why I get so tired of seeing all the hate toward SM in threads like these.
She’s criticized far more harshly than other characters—people even attack aspects of her identity that have nothing to do with gameplay. And then people say things like, “It’s only natural she’s kill-switched because even the devs don’t love her.”
After Chess Merchant was removed, SM 2.0 was judged unfairly, purely out of hate.
Now she’s been kill-switched for a whole year, and even the recent adjustments had no real impact. -
@ObsidianButterfly said:
The "buffs" don't do anything because they also nerfed other aspects. She will still be the worst killer in the game.
She needs her second scan line back to even BEGIN to climb out of F-tier.
Exactly! That’s it.
Instead of increasing her rotation speed, they should just bring back the two scan lines.
Or rather, just return her to the way she was before she was “killed.” -
Both she and I are waiting. Personally, I’d rather see her become a more fun character as she is now, rather than a rework that turns her into a generic dash killer. I really like the idea of the Claw Trap, but currently it rarely attaches to survivors, which makes most of the addons nearly useless. If we have to wait for a full rework, I’d at least like to see some minor adjustments in the meantime.
-
Thank you, Myers. Please take good care of her while she’s in the punishment cell💕
-
This issue of presets not being shared has also been happening in custom matches for a long time. My guess is that each mode remembers its presets separately, so changing the preset in the normal mode doesn’t apply it to the other modes.normal mode doesn’t apply it to the other modes.

@AhoyWolf said:
Well, her power design is so bad that I guess it takes really long time to make her interesting and worth playing, hoping for no dash slop rework 🙏
Since she’s a trap killer, it would be great if her rework at least focused on making that her strength🥰
But yes! If I’m being picky, I also really love the current Skull Merchant, so I just want a little QOL improvement. She was chosen as the main visual for the event, after all, so I think it’s a perfect opportunity! lol -
The preview version of SM...
Before doing a rework, for now, just revert the scan lines to two immediately.
Just now! Quickly! -
I feel like the overall quality of life is getting worse and worse...
The rarity color issue is still causing confusion, but if everything is going to be secret, maybe we don’t even need the offering screen anymore? -
@Emeal said:
Honestly I got used to it so fast, if it helps new players that makes me glad, this is certainly a change I can get over fast.
Is that so!? I’m jealous.
I still can't get used to this change 😭 -
I really dislike this color change. I want it to be reverted back to the way it was right now.
-
There is no change this time either, but why do DBD fans have to endure for the sake of FNAF fans?
-
Although it's unrelated to the OP, what does it mean to say that playing seriously is too rude? I always thought that, rather than players who t-bag, make noise, or provoke the killer, it's more normal to want to enjoy the game with people who play seriously.

Its impressive if i managed to edit it in 2 minutes for dbd standards after taking the screenshot as you can see from the tiemstamps and the clock on my computer. but i take it as a compliment for my incredible efficiency as shown to the survivors.
So, what you're saying is that unless you're as skilled as UknownShredder, the P100 Ghostface master, Ghostface in a 2v8 match is just too weak, right?😭

I'll keep fighting for yellow :(
Let’s keep fighting here to bring back the yellow!🤜🤛
Q: Why don’t you use icon packs?
A: I don’t want to use icon packs unless they are officially integrated and supported as a feature within the game, and even then, it wouldn't provide a fundamental solution. This rarity color change has harmed communication between users. That’s why I want this change to be reverted.
(Especially in the Asian community, icon packs are considered as data manipulation and are disliked within the community.) -
I was hoping for a change in this week's patch, but the rarity color was not altered.
I don't like leaving this change as it uses up mental resources.
I love the color blue the most, but blue is not necessary for rarity.
I miss yellow. -

Really?
I know that some of these things will get fixed at some point, but I'm not sure all of it will get fixed at all, much less the next patch.
Still, we can hope.
Sorry, my wording was off😫 What I meant to say is that I sincerely hope this color will return in the next patch... I truly hope for this as well.
-
I believe that the patch reverting this change will be included in the next patch.
-
I don’t understand the reason for aligning rarity colors with other games.
Isn’t it more common for each game to have its own rarity color scheme?
It's said to be a UX standard, but as someone who often plays Japanese games, the new rarity colors feel out of place to me. In many Japanese games, the typical order is white < bronze < silver < gold < rainbow, and so on.
Maybe they wanted to use yellow (a gold-like color) for event items, but I personally preferred the original color scheme.
I don’t think it’s a de facto standard worth abandoning a game’s uniqueness for.
And if the goal is to improve UX for colorblind players, placing blue and purple next to each other might not be the most helpful choice. -
I miss the old daily missions. You used to get 30,000 BP in a single match.
The new daily missions are really underwhelming.
They're easier now, but they give much less BP, so they don’t feel rewarding.
You can get Fragments elsewhere anyway, so they don’t really need to be part of the daily rewards. -
Personally, I'm intrigued by 2v6. I’d love to see it in action at least once!
-
Fix my poor, scrapped SM.
For now, just bring back the two scan lines this week—that's enough for now. But please make her properly usable again as soon as possible.
-
I like the color blue, so I was a bit disappointed that this Deep Rift was red. Since I like Renato, I also wished there were more blue outfits for him. Red is nice too, but I still prefer blue.
I think it would be great if the Deep Rift allowed players to choose from about five key colors, and all the Deep Rift skins would adjust to match the selected color scheme.
-
This event is so much fun as a game to play when you gather with five or more friends! During the event, I played Survivor every day.
However, as many have mentioned, it’s terrible for Killers. The wait times are too long, and it even affects the 1v4 mode.
For now, I think it would be great if it could always be enabled in custom games.
-
I’d like this display on the results screen! I want to check the answers afterward. I don’t think it should be shown in the lobby.

In both amateur and professional sporting events they do have codes of conduct they need to follow. I get what you're saying (especially since most people inherently find losing unfun) but there's a bit more nuance than that. In general with sports you can play however you want as long as its within the rules (including sportsmanship.)
In this game people have an extreme lack of respect for their opponents, probably due to not being able to be punched in the face when playing in a disrespectful way. In fact quite the opposite, they're more likely to use toxicity for clout/streaming/videos/etc. It bleeds into their perspectives of nearly everything about the game, even balance. Major "not my problem" energy, until it is their problem (then its obviously the worst thing in the world.)
Shoutouts as always to the ones who conduct themselves respectfully, as well as the ones who are equally concerned with both sides issues/grievances.
Thanks for your thoughts! 😊
Personally, I don’t see tunneling, camping (or even fast gens and slugging) as actions that go against sportsmanship. I often hear arguments that these tactics are unsportsmanlike, but to me, it just sounds like using “sportsmanship” as a shield to ask the other side to go easy. I also don’t see an issue with these tactics leading to an increase in internal MMR—can you really call a rank earned by holding back a true reflection of skill?
To me, unsportsmanlike behavior would be things like trash-talking with an "ez" after the match or taunting a slugged survivor with inappropriate gestures.

I usually write too much trying to show my thinking; thanks for reading it... like, for real :)
I'd say there are definitely 'dirty' or 'clean' tactics, but it's just not always obvious or agreed upon about what's clean or dirty. Community discussions about those things are probably good. And I fully agree that survivors teabagging is bm too. It's basically used to taunt the killer, which I don't like from either side. The killer's fun is just as important as any survivor's fun :D
To directly answer your questions: I don't think bm should be bannable in the game. But I do think it should be discouraged.
And in little leagues, they often have a mercy rule that makes it so one team doesn't have to suffer while the other team keeps building a bigger score. They do try to incentivise good sportsmanship in children's sports, even when they teach them to try their best 🙂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I often find myself frustrated by the frequent arguments on this forum that only the survivor’s enjoyment should be prioritized. I feel it's unfair that killers’ enjoyment often seems secondary simply because they are the “power role,” despite both sides being just players. Since I play about 50:50 as killer and survivor, I believe both roles should be equally fun.
As for "dirty" vs. "clean" tactics, personally, I don’t see tunneling or slugging as “dirty.” While opinions vary, I believe it’s only natural to make the best decisions available in any match. You can’t gauge an opponent’s skill within the first minute, and early moves are incredibly important in this game. So, for a killer to use tactics like tunneling or for survivors to focus on gens is just a natural part of the flow.
In Japanese professional baseball, there’s an unspoken rule that “stealing bases is not allowed when there’s a big lead,” as it’s seen as dirty. Yet, one could argue that always doing one’s best without holding back is a sign of sportsmanship.
This is a challenging issue, and I’m glad to exchange perspectives with others who might feel differently😉

I think people resort to asking players to consider the fun of their opponents because BHVR’s devs have an awful track record with giving a ######### about either side (at different points in DbD’s history) enjoying their game. At day’s end, it is up to a game’s developers to ensure that parity and an opportunity for enjoyment exists for all players.
I feel the same way. It’s strange that players need to debate just to enjoy their own gameplay experience. Plus, metas vary by server—for example, on the Asia server where I play, Adrenaline is considered a “joke perk.” So, achieving balance that fully satisfies every player is probably quite difficult.
Still, I hope BHVR keeps up their efforts, because I truly love this game ❤️

This is like asking why I should consider the experience of my opponents when I play sports. We do that because everyone should be having fun. The only time cheap tactics should reasonably get used is in gaming leagues or professional sports (or esports).
Every person playing any game with another person should be expected to consider the experience of the people they're in the game with. We all play games to have fun, and cheap tactics like tunneling, camping, and slugging for 4k make the game less fun, as does taunting (e.g. by teabagging during chase or at gates).
And this isn't to say 'don't play hard', just don't make the game completely awful by using cheap playstyles.
If a person wants to engage in cheap tactics or taunt other players, they should recognize that those behaviors make the game worse for the people they share it with. If someone doesn't want to do that, it's probably best if they consider playing single player games instead.
So, in Little League, do they teach students to "go easy on the other team to avoid making them feel bad" just because it's not pro sports? Just because it’s a 1v4 doesn’t mean the single player has to hold back. It’s not the killer's responsibility to ensure a fun experience for the survivors. The killer isn’t the caretaker or parent of the survivors—they’re also just regular players trying to enjoy the game.
If you’re going to bring up the idea of a “fun experience for all players,” then survivors would also need to consider the killer's “fun experience” by evenly repairing all seven generators without trying to t-bag or flashlight-stun.
And as for so-called "cheap tactics," the game’s system doesn’t prohibit any of them. Are you saying tunneling should result in a ban? Slugging? Generators being repaired quickly? None of these claims make sense. In strategy, there’s no such thing as "dirty" or "clean" tactics.
-
Wouldn't it be better if the killer won as soon as the hatch is closed? The End Game Collapse after the hatch is closed always feels like wasted time.

In those games the game is balanced for a 50/50 chance to win not a 60/40 (on its best day without BMing.)
If the game were adjusted to a 50:50 win ratio, killer players would likely go extinct. Just kidding—but what I really want to say is, "Why would anyone demand that opponents in a pvp game go easy on them?" Imagine someone telling their opponent, “I don’t know how this match will go, and I don’t know how skilled you are, but you should hold back so I can win!” That person would definitely get some strange looks.
(And please don’t say, “It’s because this is a party game.” I’m honestly tired of hearing that.)
-
I really can’t understand posts like this. Why should we be expected to consider the experience of the opposing team in a PvP game? In 1v1 games or team matches with equal numbers, I've never seen anyone ask their opponents to go easy on them. If we were actually meant to achieve a balanced 12-hook game, BHVR would have implemented such a system by now. Tunneling, slugging, and fast generator completion are not wrong ways to play. Just because someone finds it unpleasant doesn’t mean they should criticize others for making choices within the rules or push their own rulebook onto others.

I just never see 4 aura reading perks on any killer. The rare nurse or huntress once in a blue moon so it makes me doubt people who say we see them everyday 24/7. I'm sure you can understand that right?
I watch a lot of streamers too and i never see them going against 4 aura reading perk killers or use 4 aura reading perks, so i dunno.. maybe its a region thing then. Aura reading isn't that strong unless you are one of the top killers that can use them well.
I’ve never seen a killer with all four perk slots filled with aura-reading perks. Even the Nurse I encountered had three aura perks and one generator regression perk. It might depend on the region, though...

In the Asian server, survs has a "formulation play style". They will take Sprint Bust, when they hear the heartbeat, they start running to pull the killer from the gen, then another team member will continue the gen when the killer leaves the gen. The chasing one doesn't do any loop, he just keeps running, drops pallets whichever he sees, and runs to the corner to map to lengthen the killer's hooking, which they called a "marathon". The whole chasing will cost the killer around 1min. Then, they will take hook-related perks, DS, OfftheRecord, BabySitter, and Reassurance to counter tunnel to keep all members alive.
With this playstyle, even killers get 1 hook every minute, the gens will still be finished around 6th hook, which killer can't get a kill without the tunnel. It's pretty easy for a soloQ to carry out.
I understand what the OP is saying. I also play solo queue on the Asia server, and I often see matches like this. Of course, not all matches are like this, and since I’ve never played on servers outside of Asia, I can’t speak to the solo queue experience on other servers. But yes, I do often see solo queue matches where gens get done very quickly, just like the OP describes. Chasing the first survivor for only 60 seconds can result in 3 gens being completed.
In Asia, players are more tolerant of tunneling and camping compared to other servers, but even with these tactics, killers find it difficult to win against skilled solo queue players. And it’s even tougher against SWF.
Of course, that’s something every player who has spent thousands of hours on this game has noticed. Since the patch that made hook stages 70 seconds, these issues have become even more pronounced. I’d love to see statistics for each server and MMR bracket.P.S.
I’m a player from Japan, and I’m glad to know that players from China and Korea feel the same way🥺 -
I love the Skull Merchant. When she was released, I was blown away by her cool appearance. I remember reading her lore in the PTB and being incredibly excited by the concept of an ambitious CEO with a twisted personality, a heart that still cared for her father, and a genius mind. At the time of her release, the “game environment” also aligned with her concept, which made her strong, yes, but it worked. Now, the 3-gen strategy is punished, and many other useful killer perks have been nerfed.
Currently, the only thing that still fits her concept is her appearance, which hasn't been altered, but everything else is about to be completely ruined with this PTB. If there's a rework planned, there's no need to finish her off when she's already been weakened and rendered powerless by repeated adjustments. Just leave her alone.
I don't want to see her broken any further.

It seems that this issue has been resolved in the latest version 8.2.2 (at least in my environment). How about everyone else?

They are 100% not ignoring the feedback - they are communicating and listening. It's just… Depends on the audience they are listening to.
What's the point of PTB if they are going to ignore the feedback, right?
No.
The bug preventing the use of the GeForce filter, which was finally fixed in this update, was reported during the PTB but was ignored. The PTB is only a place to showcase new content. When it comes to the live servers, they just tweak a few numbers and do nothing else. -
Are there no Black characters in the D&D collaboration? That's right, but there are also no Asian characters. Are there any LGBTQ characters? If a character prefers not to be openly identified regarding their sexual orientation, would they be outed? I identify as queer, and I don’t want characters with the same LGBTQ attributes as mine, nor do I want Asian characters in settings that don’t relate to my cultural themes. What’s the point of bringing such elements into the game?

Ok, so.
Can you explain, are you absolutely certain that reshade does not fit that category?
- It is a 3rd party software or "other tool"
- i think you would agree with this
- Does it "gain any kind of unfair advantage that wasn't intended by the game and is not whitelisted"
- Give the topic of discussion it would seem that such a program IS NOT whitelisted
- Literally in the next sentence they explain what is whitelisted by saying: "We are not banning the use of communication apps"
- Can you show me any official source other than this post that shows in the next sentence that filters are whitelisted in any capacity?
- Does it or does it not provide some kind of advantage over players not using it?
ReShade is not the GeForce Experience Filter.
Please continue that discussion elsewhere. Do not post about the merits of the filter in this thread.

Fair enough, but you are the first person in this thread who has countered it by saying "filters are not cheats"
Can you explain to me how filters are not cheats when:
- They can provide an advantage over players who are not using them
- They are only accessible via downloading a 3rd party program that runs while your game runs
- They are not accessible to console players at all, and thus are only available to a fraction the player base
As I’ve said repeatedly, if you want to question the validity of this filter, please refrain from posting in this thread. This thread is for people experiencing the same issue to discuss potential solutions.

The filter =/= the graphics card, they are 2 separate things.
Have you ever played a game on a PC?
To play games on a PC, you must have a piece of hardware called a graphics card. And to run that hardware, you need software called a driver. Only by installing these two on your PC can you play games on it.
The "GeForce Experience Filter," which you keep insisting is an external tool, is actually a part of this driver software. It is not an external tool. The current issue is that EAC is blocking this feature on its own (and while most people can still use it, a small number of users are unable to use part of the feature due to EAC).
As I’ve said repeatedly, if you want to question the validity of this filter, please refrain from posting in this thread. This thread is for people experiencing the same issue to discuss potential solutions.

Sure, like i said, maybe it doesn't work for you, that is fine and understandable, but can you understand that the devs should instead add this as something that fixes it for ALL players instead of just expecting players to download a 3rd party program? You should be petitioning the devs to fix this problem for everyone.
Again, explain why the same logic doesn't apply to people who are deaf and hard of hearing and using cheats to see survivor auras for example.
To play games on a PC, you need a graphics card. Do you understand that? The "GeForce Experience Filter" is part of the functionality of that graphics card. It is not a cheat tool.
>explain why the same logic doesn't apply to people who are deaf and hard of hearing and using cheats to see survivor auras for example.
Modifying client data to alter the in-game program and determine rendering is cheating. Whether or not someone is disabled is irrelevant to this.
Adjusting the brightness of an iPhone screen is not cheating; it falls within the scope of personal usability adjustments. -

What i'm saying is, allowing a tiny minority of people to use a cheat for accessibility purposes is not the proper solution to the problem when it enables others to cheat. The BETTER solution is to offer those accessibility options in the game for everyone, and punish cheaters for cheating.
The "GeForce Experience Filter" is a part of the graphics card's functionality. It is not a cheat tool.
Replacing perk or character icons involves altering the game client’s data, which is essentially modifying the game and can be considered a form of cheating.
