Shattered Hope.
It would be kinda pointless now, but I think having its effect basekit would allow for future Boon perks / changes to be better and more in-line with what those perks should be.
Yknow....I had this genius idea to buff Inner Strength like they did with Overzealous by making it work off booning but then I realized that would just bring back the old Circle of Healing problem but if Shattered Hope we're basekit I think Inner Strength could possibly see that buff.

It's not over until the survivors will leave the map, until that moment EVERYTHING can happen (especially if you have an endgame build) so no, you are wrong about that...
Actually no, its the Killer's job to prevent the Generators being done. Your comments has no impact because even if you had an endgamebuild survivors would still be fairly stronger if all 4 survived until that point. The point is if the Killer should have Basekit BT be disabled once all gens are done, which again. my point still stands, the killer failed to prevent.
Generators exist to make survivor movements predictable; they're like a funnel. Gate switches are one last funnel.
There's nothing wrong with treating generators as resources to be burned much like a pallet. Gens are just bait to lure so survivors don't hide until the server closes.
-
I've noticed this at certain angles repairing generators. It sounds like I'm underwater.
I was born with tinnitus and I hate it. The doctors first thought I had a mental disability because I didn't talk at age 5 but turns out all the wax in my head made everything I heard distorted as if I were under water.
Might be a bug pertaining to....sound occlusion? Sounds behind walls are supposed to be muffled a tad but I think that's borked right now
-
My swf is casual and even then I feel like i have to run Empathic just so people can run to shiny yellow aura.
I hate to run Empathic for this because survivors are trained to NOT run to yellow dude and here I am like " yo, run to yellow dude!"
-
I can't stand Entity blocked generators. Zzzzz
From what other survivors say, apparently my quad hex Pinhead is evil.(Plaything, Penti, Thrill, Face the Darkness) but I don't see it because that flavour of sweet suffering only comes online once every survivor has been hooked.
In my opinion, Forced Hesitation on a slug/ basement play style gets very naughty very quickly especially in that rpd west wing basement. The one time Trickster looks like an S tier killer
-
My honest advice is to play dbd in waves; i used to rage at dbd but that was also when I played 8 hours a day.
2v8 is coming up...are you excited for that or dreading the q times? Either way, now is the perfect time for a break.
Personally, I had to stop playing dbd sober; if I'm not actively fighting off a panic attack while I'm killing then I'm not in the zone yet. Speaking of self imposed limitations, may I recommend wolf only Dracula?

i think tthe perk would just be better if it had no trigger requirement, you get hooked →healed. resurgence already does that with med-kits, i don't see why you can't do that with second wind.
TThat Would probably be insane. It would have to 100% be nerfed somehow.
As it stands, you can completely rug pull the killer by pairing Second Wind with Wicked; and automatic heal on top of a free unhook is insanely powerful. And it works in the end game, as well.
Reverting the bug fix where co op heals don't mess with the perk would be much better
-
No thanks. It sucks only getting 1 kill, but without BT thats all youre getting. Survivors should have the illusion of a chance so they are encouraged to get greedy and open up a chance for a possible mistake.
Confirming the 3 man out is boring.
-
This sounds like a flavourful change that I'm all for !
In exchange all I ask is that survivors carry turrets at Fixated speed

@Zakon05 said:
While not as good as a systemic fix, I recommend running Plot Twist.
Slugging is very powerful right now in general. Any time you're about to go down, I recommend using Plot Twist to put yourself in the dying state. It will force the killer to have to pick you up.
It'll most likely dissuade the killer from slugging you for the 4k, too.
This can be a double edged sword because some see the act of Plot Twisting as a grave slight towards them as you are denying them BP, leading to even more toxic matches.
-
Unpopular opinion but i kinda miss Sadoka Magica 2.0....her demanding you play around condemn was a nice break from the monotony of slamming gens. Not quite as fun or balanced as Cenobite and Xenomorph but a nice change regardless. Sure, my teammates would get themselves morid for no reason but oh well.
3.0 just seems to be a spammy teleporter m1 killer. I'm grateful she pulls people away from Wraith but meh
-
I don't honestly care about PoV, in that regard I defer to Bhvrs judgment. Some moris are cool in 1st person like Docs zap and Nurses loving caress and some are cooler in 3rd person like Knight and Pinhead. I assume the style of mori affects the PoV but I would like to see more 1st person

I think the class pick rates for survivors are skewed for a couple reasons. For one thing, there is a limit to the number of players that can run a certain class during a match. I don't think this is a bad thing for game balance but it certainly will impact the percentage of players using escapist for instance. If there was no limit then I think it would be higher. Also there are tome challenges that require playing a certain class. If there weren't any tome challenges that required playing a certain class then I think the percentages would be different.
For Scout I am convinced they are as low as they are simply due to BP gains; as a 2021 player I am here to win and have fun doing it, so BP is no concern in that regard but for newer players that may be a turn off
-
Good players should be incentivized to be sloppy and rewarded for being inefficient; I was very vocal about WGLF nerfs because I'd rather have good survivors try to go for "content" than simply be stuck chasing scratch marks the entire game.
Efficiency is boring, and when matches are over by 5 minutes it's kinda demoralizing to know where the match is headed the first minute in.

I'm still mad that they made it not get full progress if another Survivor joins in on a heal at any point. It's so frustrating.
DO you remember when that happened? I keep up with patch notes but I don't remember it being officially nerfed.
It is a rather huge frustration for this perk though since it already carries the Deliverance curse.
IDk if it's a bug or not because OoO was shadowbugged at one point too

IMO people need to not put so much weight on YouTube videos. Even ones by popular content creators. Their YouTube videos are cherry picked scenarios and games to show exactly what they want it to show purely for click$. If you have the time, watch them when they stream live on Twitch. It helps highlight the fact that often the stuff they claim on YT is "OP" or "meta" is really not that exciting when you watch them play a bunch of games to try and make it work or get that perfect moment to cut for their clickbait YouTube video.
I love to watch the content, bbut we have to remember sometimes these are just cherrypicked one-off games posted just for a conversation starter.
We sometimes do it here on the forums and elsewhere. " I got a 4k with 0 perks so killer is easy mode!?"
That's why I was a tad miffed when people instantly call end game Legion OP because Hens made it look cool once in a video...like come back and tell us that after you've played 10 matches of it in a row.
-
I like to save it for finishing priority gens like rpd main lobby
I'll only burn it otherwise if Franklins is in play
-
It's time to main Urban Evasion
-
@TheArbiter said:
Killers c'mon the perk is amazing right now according to content creators like Otz and Hens please bring it every game the survivors totally can't just ignore ruin whatsoever /s
I had to remove Ruin as my bait hex on Pinhead because survivors were preferring to deal with the devil they know.

it is her iri seal. iri seal+devote amulet is 60 second of power 5 times per match. at hooks, plague is by far 2nd strongest killer at camping hooks. her machine gun purge downs people in seconds when clumped up and she has incredible synergy with many of slowdown perks in the game. The obvious synergy is deadlock with add-on. She also happens to be the best user of hex:plaything because her broken status effect pairs extremely well with oblivious. Due to this, Hex:Pentimento has large opportunity to be effectiveness perk for her because you have to choose between incuring -30% repair speed penalty or a potencial ranged stealth killer with instant downs. All classic slowdown are good for her. corrupt, pain res, dms, grim embrace. even obsecure perks like Hex:Wretched fate or Dying light can work for her.
playing vs iri seal plagues that camp hooks all game is not exactly the most interesting gameplay for survivor end but it works for killer.
I'm a big fan of Iri Seal and "meme" addon.
Survivors are forced to spend all game perma broken, so survivors who notice the meme addon will never cleanse and thats how I get em with the easy Iri Seal downs
Paired with Tinkerer you'll always know where to go to find broken survivors. Paired with Fearmonger there's nothing for you to do but die.
Plague is a chess killer

I've just been on the prowl with a Machine Learned Barkula with a 20m TR backed up with some chase perks like STBFL and Superior Anatomy
Sadly I've been having more success with this than Nemesis. What's a tier 3 again?

@solarjin1 said:
how the hell did scout have the lowest pick rate. That wall hacking it provided was egregiously strong.
I was that guy camping up top the Thompson House crouched behind the Huntress who is also camping the house lol
Both the Iron Will and Urban Evasion perks were insanely comfy to have; Urban is normally rated low in 1v4 but when you have it for free it puts in miracles against Huntress
Using these + metagaming the aura reveals made stealth quite viable.

Meta means "after" in some old language. People conflate meta with top tier, and there's is usually an overlap but it's not always the case. Meta refers to the metagame.
Metas can vary by region and other factors such as culture and perception.
For example, Nurse is a top tier killer. Top tier killers tend to be played frequently. So she would be part of the Meta/metagame. But if all you ever see are Legions, then Legion is part of your Meta. You can scream at the top of your lungs "Legion isn't Meta!" But if all the top players all choose to play Legion, it doesn't matter that Nurse is stronger.
When you metagame, that means you are looking at the game after the fact and noticing trends. Dbd has lots of Meta gaming. For example, sometimes perceptions shift based off of YouTube videos or discoveries in the community. The Eruption Overbrine Meta was not discovered immediately in 6.1
Right now, I am in a slug Meta kindof. Doesn't matter whether or not hooking or slugging is better. Fact is, it's happening and it's my reality. So I was abusing WGLF to it's fullest because I needed it. Wglf was Meta for me.
I play Yugioh and it's the same deal with that. There is a set metagame in vacuums like online games, but actually going to your local card store your Meta preparations might be worthless because the locals Meta could be stuck in 2009 and all your counters are worthless

You need to tunnel harder on a faster killer
-
The 1st Snowmen were very OP and downright unfair to Twins and GF, but honestly they were fun the 1st year. With them being op survivors were swarming to snowmen that it was hard to take it seriously and just goof off.
They nerfes the snowmen hard the 2nd year but survivors just kinda ignored them. Yay for us killers but meh, it didn't have the same holiday spirit.
II'm biased though I don't play twins or gf
-
I like to give Alucard some tough love, he can take it. He is my son, after all.
Soma, though? Absolutely crush him first.
-
Reject Lightborn and embrace Forced Hesitation×Infectious Fright
It's fun to allow survivors to "try"

What do you think would happen if WoO got removed from the game? seriously, what do you think would happen?
Survivors would start equipping a 4th perk that does things?

@Peanits said:
I can give some context for both of these.
For Inner Focus, some folks discovered that by running Perks like Plot Twist, a coordinated group could repeatedly lose a health state and heal each other while a Survivor is being chased, granting them essentially permanent aura reading on the Killer. While creative, it's not the gameplay we wanted to encourage, so we made a very targeted change to the Perk to prevent that. The overwhelming majority of health state losses will be a the hands of the Killer, so this should have little to no impact of normal usage.
For We're Gonna Live Forever, many people realized that by running this with Made for This, both the dying Survivor and the rescuer could be protected with Endurance. This alone isn't a problem, but when you add in the increased healing speed from We're Gonna Live Forever, it made it possible for Survivors to pick each other up very aggressively in just a few seconds - in some cases when working together, faster than the Killer could down them.
For what it's worth, 150% WGLF was pulling survivors off of generators in the hopes of "big plays". It was strong and I was seeing sit a fair bit, but it was a welcome change of pace to the non interactive pre running squads who just split gens. At least WGLF lobbies were bloodbaths
-
Never seen anything related to dbd irl ever.…unless you count bumping into Sable Ward on Tinder

Even CoD had a cowards way out feature in 2007 :/

Nerfing WGLF during slugging epidemic is the best example of how seriously devs go about their own game.
I almost don't even want to login after work tonight out of concern that some may be "celebrating" the wglf nerf.
I can almost hear the Wraith growls and Clown ahuehuehues from here...
-
If we can't have 150% WGLF then it's time for basekit Unbreakable. Powertripping killers are out of control.
-
I'd rather deal with 4 wglf than 4 finesse+Lithe. At least people are trying to interact with me

I always hated Hex Plaything. My Feedback history proves that. Perk is so unengaging for Gameplay.
What's not engaging about it? It's spooky
-
Your mechanics will be rusty, but I find dbd more enjoyable after a break it helps me not sweat the small stuff
-
We are in a hardcore shift w meta and bats counter that.
When survivors are healthy it's no big deal; you can just lose the killer. The trouble only starts when survivors are injured or there's a 3 gen
-
Bloodlust may have been created as a bandaid for infinites, but i think they stay because it reinforces the philosophy that you're not meant to ever be invincible or hold the killer for eternity you are meant to go down eventually. Bloodlust helps temper that expectation of 5 gen chases.

360s never caused the lunge to not go full length. You could blame the game for it, but if you weren't looking at the survivor when the swing would make contact, you would simply miss. 360s aren't an exploit, they're not uncounterable, even back when they were better they weren't uncounterable by any means.
Play as Spirit and hit a survivor on hook as they are being sacrificed; that camera pull is insane. 360s try to mess with that
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
What if it only activated when starting chase instead of when looking at the killer in the terror radius? Keep the screaming part that makes it funny, but it wouldn't actively sabotage you anymore and would give you useful aura reading at the beginning of chases. Keep the cooldown the same.
That would probably be the best possible change without really changing anything.
However, that's still a flat buff imo. Having essentially a "99d Aura Burst " sounds more consistent and less deadly than current "treat every killer as if they are Ghostface".
I honestly think how unwieldly and dangerous is what's kept this perk balanced; it saves, but it kills! It kills but it saves lol
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we get a nice buff to a perk i thinks insane and I'll live happily ever after. I dare to dream
-
99ing a Deep Wound should be dangerous tbh i think the screen filter is safe.

@Ryuhi said:
WoO is OP because it provides too much value for a single perk slot, especially when compared to its cousin aura perks. Overtuned would probably be more accurate than OP, but it is certainly too strong for its metadata and lack of downside. Personally I'd just like to see it more in line with the other survivor aura perks instead of being such a clear and obvious choice.
If WoO has too much value for one slot then surely Bond will be on the chopping block next
-
Survivor serum is just better. But uh...I've had ok luck on Pyramid Head.

I'd love it personally if Gates had checkpoints (25,50,75,90?) so if you let go they regress just very slightly. This could push Wake Up up in popularity without really touching the perk itself.

I just saw a video a few days ago of a Survivor using it to down themselves like 5 times in a row and allowing their teammate to heal them. Is that a glitch?
The Claudette intentionally got hit by the Killer, then her and a friend ran to a different part of the map and the Claudette would plot twist and the teammate would recover her as though she was farming altruism points.
Oh, it's fully intentional, friend!
Plot Twist paired with Flip Flop and Power Struggle can be really funny. If you play your cards right you can take the killer on a pallet tour

are there anyone who cares about killrates at all? they have been proven wrong and inconsistent over the years, nurse having the lowest killrate and killers like freddy, sadako and skull merchant having the highest

Seeing killers like Freddy have a high kill rate makes for fun conversations at the water cooler
