I tolerated Wraith until they removed his lightburn mechanic. Both him and Nurse made them more bearable to face, plus Nurses double stun on pallets.
Besides that though I don't like looking at the ground so I honestly do not like Trapper or Hag.
Oh, and depending on my mood and how the killer plays, Trickster is up there but not for the common reasons people dislike Trickster; I have something called misophonia and Trickster seriously triggers that when they just fo nothing but spam knives on you while you are hooked. That sound of smashing bottles makes it impossible for me to think, and thr noises make me irrationally angry. I'm like a dog reacting to a vacuum cleaner

AoT is my favourite non horror/horror adjacent IP in this game.
The survivors look a tad goofy by being costumes rather than Legendary replacements but other than that they fit right in here.
I have yet to meet somebody who actually dislikes The Armoured Titan.

Unfortunately, vanishing box will stay nerfed, only the speed decrease is removed.
We'll see how that plays out
As somebody who never uses Blurry Photo this bums me out a bit but I'll take any W I can

It’s basically old corrective action except now it shows the survivor who missed the skill check’s aura and works anywhere on the map. So if you’re on Gen B and another survivor is on Gen E and they miss a skill check on Gen E, that becomes a good (regular) skill check and you see their aura. The perk may work if you’re playing with really new survivors but most survivors don’t miss good skill checks. Maybe it’ll work as a better counter to impossible skill check doctor? I just don’t see anyone really using it, as it still sucks.
I love the idea of fixing failed skill checks; it's just a shame that it only applies to generators. If Corrective worked on any skill check that has 2+ survivors involved then this perk coulda been cool for preventing tunnels when your unhooker misses a healing check
-
I run it with Spies because I love birds but you don't really need Spies for it.
I'd probably wait to see for the new Genetic but Vecna is kinda fun so eh. I still have Dead Hard ptsd so anything that can give me 100% certainty is very much appreciated. When Vecna came out it took me 40 games to get my first loss and half of those matches were just goofing around with birds. I keep forgetting that Lithe is super popular for some reason so I appreciate accidentally countering that

My biggest gripe is that Blurry Photo is still probably going to be ran 99% of the time and yet it's going to be ever so slightly weaker (and thus clunkier feeling) than before. Vanishing Box was probably overnerfed too but w/e.
They should've just walked back everything but the UI changes.
Idon't understand why people are cheering for Vanishing Box nerfs, calling it unhealthy(encourages killer to use power, no guarantee of damage) but Blurry Photo, a mindless anti loop addon is being celebrated by being made partial basekit?
Unknowns should be encouraged to use Uvx more, not encouraged to go for teleport hits in loops.
Thankfully BHVR has confirmed they have reverted the speed change so that's nice at least
-
Idk if I'm just not understanding, I haven't dived too deep into thr 2v8 info but does this not promote even more slugging?
I found myself slugging a TON more in 2v8. I'm usually an "insta picker" but 2v8 forces you to slug constantly due to sheer numbers. Nothing crazy, just breaking pallets and gens before hooks. This change would just make that way worse, would it not?
I'm not opposed to a mercy mechanic on principle if it helps drive engagement but idk if this is it
-
I'm getting Nics perks but that's it. Scene Partner is the only perk I need anyway.
-
We need him ASAP for the Freddy+Not Jason combo!
-
If both sides wanted to win and were on comms, it was more balanced than 1v4 at least.
WWith the people I queued up with, I saw a lot of "wow double teaming this is so lame" but for me that was where the magic happened. Looping a killer tag team meant that you had generators uncontested for 7 survivors by sheer efficiency that should just be the position survivors would WANT to be in.
Not saying it's easy, especially when you get pincered at a pallet by a Wraith and Billy but when you did it was legendary.
I find survivors just didn't....grasp the game mode? Like, you know in advance that every killer has Nowhere to Hide, so why heal an unhook survivor near a Generator? Little things like that.
-
Are classes still a thing? If so, Scouts gonna annihilate them. Before, your Billy's Huntresses and Nurses had the help of Wraith to mitigate how awesome us Scouts are.
Chase killers are manageable with 247 wallhacks.
I struggled more against Trappers I hope people don't play him just so I don't have to sift through grass!
-
I'm a console player and even I mourn the loss of Trickster...
All I ever play are 115 m1 killers but hate Huntress. I rarely played him, like once a week but he scratched an itch
-
Theater mode would go hard. Having to rely on twitch streamers actually streaming to review my own gameplay is a bummer.
-
Parasyte/Kiseijuu would be rad. A killer whose cosmetics that would entirely rely on non licensed Survivor cosmetics just seems like a win/win for everybody.
I could see @Huge_Bush being a "Claudette main".
-
I was playing back to back double iri Myers and ran into the same Steve twice. I thought he kinda annoying with how Stevey he was playing so I thought I'd be cheeky too by turbo Mori ING him in game 2.
Mission Accomplished! ...but man I felt teensy bit bad about it; what even are the odds of that as killer, especially in NA?
Made For This meta really did a number on me

When you have 400% BP-Incentive on Survivor and you STILL have 10 minute queues for Killer, you cannot really be serious that the mode was survivor-sided.
They HAD to make big changes to the mode. For Survivors, there was nearly no gameplay at all aside from holding M1 on even more Generators, while Killers had all the gameplay.
I wont play it, since I really dislike the mode (at least in the first version it was way too easy to win as Killer and not really worth it to play with 7 Randoms who dont repair Gens instead of 3 Randoms), but they had to do some improvements for Survivors.
Sorry, but the queue times were absolutely not a reflection of the modes balance.
You could argue it was boring, but that's something different.
Who would A)want to play 1v4 killer when 2v8 is out?
Or B) play survivor when 2v8 is out?
2 killers. Let me reiterate, two killers. Two. Double the killers. No amount of incentives, BP, or gimmick was going to do ANYTHING about the queues in Dbd while 2v8 was here.
If anybody wanted to play 1v4, the only winning play was to take your advance warning and take a pre planned break from Dbd.
Now that the 1st 2v8 has come and gone, who knows where things will go from here.

I remember when Nea was one of, if not the most popular female survivor even back when she was a butch lesbian. She felt like an average, real person.
I miss the old Nea :(
-
He's decent with a decent amount of tools. He's pretty good at contesting hooks but that could always be adjusted.
I find it interesting that people have only realized the power of bat post buff...meanwhile I've always been playing Drac like this. Now that people aren't obsessing over Wolf form we can see what he's actually capable of.

The most legitimate reason killers slug is literally due to pallet saves and flashlight saves. So they announce they are going to 'fix' slugging by allowing flashlight and pallet saves in 2v8.
Instead of less slugging, we will have more. The killer needs to only spot the job that can unbreakaBill (one of the classes can pick themselves up), and that's the only survivor class that they have to cage. Everyone else will be slugged because you have now given them a legitimate reason to slug…
That's not the only reason; with so many more survivors you kinda have toslug more while you kick gens and pallets just due to efficiency. No point letting somebody get saved while you are in downtime
-
Spirit is such a poor choice; think about it, a sound based killer in a mode where comms are encouraged?
Pls I just wanna play the Unknown

Same here. I just pour them all into pinhead since I'm p100 him first
Nice choice! Could you spare me an iri box? I'm always running out of them it seems.
-
I like bloodpoints
-
Pinhead and Alien hit that sweet spot for me. They feel powerful and have built in slowdown but their powers also encourage you to mess with the killer.
I love the payoff of turrets breaking chase and shepherding my solo team to safety.
I could spend all day entertaining myself by just figuring out the patterns, habits and sometimes even the life stories of Pinhead players.
Some are insta teleporting creatures. Some Cenobites ignore the Box. If I find a never teleporter, what happens if I solve the Box as the only survivor on death hook? I'm just dying to know!
-
That's alright, you didn't miss much I suppose. I saw a lot of people messing around, like Nemesis and a Sable playing Pinball and winning a Vaccine from the Claw Machine on Greenville Square.
I personally found it hard to sweat when people are more concerned about having fun
-
Too many variables, so I'll give the lame non answer of "depends"
If I am where I want to be, I'll chase all day. I'm typically very liberal with my chases, maybe partly due to my Legion heritage; I'm always adapting and reacting to new information as they come up.
My mindset is to control the match so I can chase mindlessly. I sometimes try to cook too hard so a perk like Tinkerer helps me wake up and not throw
-
I too have considered collaborating with Dead By Daylight
-
I have probably the most hours on Legion, but I don't think they really need much. They're fine where they are, especially after their last buffs.
@Tatariu suggested letting Legion see blood in Frenzy, something like that could be a decent option for a buff without changing them significantly
-
According to Almo, they do take it into some consideration.
-
"Those" Bubba players had to have gone somewhere.
-
This would be appreciated so I wouldn't need to use Fixated anymore. I swear, a bunch of my builds are held back by the lack of a 5th perk slot...
-

I just wish they'll add random Items/Add-ons and Offerings as an option. Turning off the option will not use any Items/Add-ons or Offerings if you chose so and turning it on will randomize them all.
So for hoarders, they could still keep their stuff if they wanted.
Because at the moment you can still use the strongest Items and Add-ons with XY sided map offerings which kinda reduces the fun of that mode.
I think you should just load in empty handed, and then the Entity assigns you a random item with random addons. Killers too.
I was fine with the 1st Chaos Shuffle being safe, but I was hoping that the 2nd would be a tad more adventurous.

Content creators are probably a factor. Those who literally play this game for a living, and particularly those who are good at this game and draw in a large audience, are likely to fall into that outlier bracket. They have a lot of hours and a lot of experience, and their winstreaks attract views. Having them sit in long queues wouldn't be good advertising for the game or keep viewers engaged.
I could be mistaken, but I think one of these content creators was a twins main who had like a 2 hour queue?
That really sucks for them but I feel like we lost any chance at a functional matchmaking system by making the game prioritize match speed too much.
-
Dwight should be high priority because of Bond. That perk plus the generic Deja Vu will be of great value to you.
Kate Denson is a great first buy thanks to her Windows of Opportunity.
A perk like Bond looks boring however you'll find it very versatile. Survivors are most effective when they split up, so seeing everybody together at the start will help you get in the habit of splitting up. But when you need a heal later, it'll help you find help.
-
Depends on what the conditions are. If it's a custom 1v1 then maybe Clown and Skull Merchant. Heck, maybe even a good Slinger.
If it's in general, yeah Hux is probably up there. While Nurse/Blight/Spirit may be strong 1v1ers in a vacuum, they get utterly destroyed by a wee bit of stealth if they try to cold approach me. I'm confident in my Fixated skills. Hux though can capture me in 4K HD

I mean, BT can completely screw over the "count to 10 after unhooks" people.
Slinger mains are thebest at counting. Watching them immediately spear an unhooked survivor, and holding them to wait out Endurance is such a satisfying thing to watch happen.
-
Since the 1st Shuffle was so tame I was hoping this one would have been more adventurous by randomize addons and items.
Make the survivors start open handed and give them something random. I was hoping to see some Alex Boxes with double repair speed boost or something

The old style of spreading hooks, I'd say. Back when BBQ had its BP stacks and the strongest slowdown perk available was Ruin.
That, in my opinion as someone who plays both sides, was the perfect killer meta.
The closest I've gotten to this these days is quad Hex Pinhead where the idea is to hook every survivor once then watch as Face the Darkness comes online.
@upsideinsanity said:
I love reading the comments that come from the obvious killer mains when the question was at people who actually play survivor.
I agree with WolfyWood… I don't care what your perks are even if they give away how sweaty you are going to play. Its the playstyle that is the problem. Don't hard tunnel. Don't hard camp. Don't intentionally make the game miserable for the survivors.
"Don't be an arse on purpose" is the absolute best way to sum it up.
I go out of my way to not tunnel and camp but that's still not enough so it's a fair question to ask.
-
Killers these days love 24/7 wallhacks so with the Distortion nerfs I recommend you do the same by equipping Scene Partner and Eyes of Belmont, maybe even Object.
Auras are the future

I think items/add ons and perk levels would be cool to randomize too. It might be a little too far (particularly for the killer player) but randomize our characters too!
Let's just go friggin nuts BHVR! I want ALL of the Chao.
If a Myers doesn't run the risk of tier 3 addons +Scratch Mirror then it's not true Chaos, I say.
-
I like to imagine full Hex Pinhead forcing people to pause their chess matches and make them play checkers.
I don't play Magic the Gathering but I guess that'd be called Scheherazade?
-
Reminds me of a hospital.... sterile and lifeless.
-
Unknown, Pinhead, Alien.
-
Pharmacy used to be a staple for my Lisa
-
Attack on Titan was it for me, but these days I do kinda want a Scooby Doo survivor chapter with Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and Velma.
-
My buddy got slapped in the Corn, and despite knowing where that was roughly I still couldn't find the needle in the haysack.
-
OoO, Ultimate Weapon, Dead Man's Switch and Buckle Up are probably it for me.
Funnily enough I didn't mind Eruption; 6.1 forced Survivors to be efficient and gogogo, and Eruption was such a laughably overpowered perk that I took bring Incapacitated as an excuse to just walk around and bask in the Dbd atmosphere.
-
Chase music and the ! Sound cause hearing damage so blasting audio is a terrible idea for long term health. Sadly the best play is to just pray you get a level with grass.
-
All he does is move in a straight line
-
I could see them adding the Teletubbies Sun looking down upon us on Cornwind Farms

Bro please re-evaluate your opinions when you're legit upset that NURSE of all Killers is invaludated in this mode. Let weaker Killers like the Stealth ones have ONE mode that lets them be strong. Why is it bad to have a mode that allows some Killers to work better than others? I will never understand that.
Can't you just have fun being jumpscared like everyone else?
Chucky being really good is a welcome change of pace for me! He's so spooky in this mode!
I feel bad for the survivors who keep getting Legions all day so I'm trying to do my part by spamming Xenomorph. I'm sure survivors appreciate those atmospheric turrets
