I was thinking about this the other day, all boons should have different range depending of their effect
-
@indieeden7 said:
No it doesn't, which is a shame seeing as synergy with perks like MFT/WGLF might actually make the perk worth running
Thats so sad, I was planning to used it along side FTP and WGLF

Lol same, but its annoying as hell

It means that if you had a character that was level 50 BEFORE update 6.1.0 dropped, you'll gain 2 additional prestige levels for some reason.
Except if that character was P3, in that case you can go suck your thumb because you're not worhty of BHVR's attention.
Well most of my killers were level 50 so Im happy

The Unbreakable + Soul Guard combo isn't ruined, if anything it is stronger now since you don't need a Hex to be able to get up by yourself repeatedly anymore.
But you need like 22 secs to pick u up

I believe they've said there's an easter egg on Yamaoka that's not the turning statue heads that nobody has found yet.
Yeah, I remember sth like this, its was an easter egg that has been in the game since a long time and hasnt be found yet

Hyperfocus was literally just buffed out of PTB
What did they do the perk

Difference is Wesker isn’t useless around pallets (just ignore the bugs). He can vault over them, so I think limiting destroying them to an addon is okay.
He can vault it but he cant use his power after doing it and also it takes some times to use his basic atack
-
@Carth said:
He technically can but just need to sacrafice an add-on slot for it.
Yeah,demo used to have an addon that allow him to break pallets but they made it base kit

Just popping in here real fast - we are looking to make some adjustment to the survivor detection area for grabs with Virulent Bound, as you know it was too large on the PTB and it got reduced for the release...we're going to be increasing it slightly to something in between what it was on PTB and Live.
We are monitoring feedback carefully around the release, and will possibly be making other tweaks - but can confirm this one with the grab right now.
Are u looking perks as well? Reactive Healing isnt working most of the times and the blast mine nerf was so uncalled for
-
@Ryuhi said:
I mean its kinda simple when you consider that you can have 4 gens giving out a UAV of entire areas of the map with no real penalty while kindred requires at least one person to be hooked and you can't really benefit from spreading multiple around the map.
I get the overall comparison, but its kinda silly in perspective.
I mean you are wasting 2 perks and its not giving a huge buff, stealth killers have aura reading inmunity after all
-
@JHondo said:
Since they lost the license the Stranger Things perks became general perks like We'll Make It, Spine Chill, Hope, Dark Sense, etc. Kinda annoying for anyone who had the content before but it made it so new players could still get those perks so there isn't any "disadvantage" just because someone started playing after ST left DbD
I know but I dont see why I they wouldnt share like all prestige characters, its so annoying
-
@SunsetSherbet said:

It was never going to end camping because the idea every match would have 4 reassurances was a delusion. Why did people think every survivor would run that as a meta perk? You'll be lucky to see one every few matches regardless of a nerf or not. Band aid perks don't fix issues like that. Just as DS never ended tunneling.
I mean a survivor could have spend his time pausing the camped survivor during the match and the others could gen rush the killer
-
@Mandy said:
Wiretap and Open Handed are not meant to work together.
But kindred and open handed do? Lazy balance right there

@YOURFRIEND said:
I saw this post on Reddit. It said they modified blast mines code for wiretap and they were interfering with one another so they make them work the same way. Makes sense.
I dont think the nerf has nothing to do with the both working at the same time

And some killer perks can be deactivated or never activate to begin with
Noed can be cleansed
Blood warden requires the doors to be open might not even work
In end game nothings is guaranteed its only fair
I mean a survivor must destroy the totem in order to deactive NOED, just like some perks (sole survivor) blood warden might not work, but DS and OTR are the only perks that deactive for no other reason than "killer should have a chance to kill you"

How about the feeling when you hook a survivor in the endgame, he gets unhooked and you can't do anything about that, because he has anti-tunneling perks, and everyone else just sprints to the exit gates after the first hit, so you can't get them either? This is the most awful feeling in the game, not even comparable to getting camped.
I mean if there are 4 survivor at the EG I must sucks as a killer lol, Im not against tunneling, my problem is how behaviour makes face camp posible during EG by disactivate some perks, if someone gets tunnel during the match, well its their problem for not bringing at least one of the anti tunnel perks or even exhaustion perks such as sprint or dead hard, but in the EG the two most antitunnel perks are worthless, as I said before if everyone is alive during the EG Its means that I sucks as a killer, Behaviour its giving a free kill by allowing things like facecamp in the EG
-
@DredgeyEdgey said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/343318/why-tunneling-at-endgame-its-okey
If your using this logic the why do you deserve hatch if you couldn't finish the gens before your team died then why do you deserve a chance to escape and deny the killer the 4k they earned?
You gotta look at both sides of the spectrum
But that's because the killer has 2 objectives
Kill and stall the game
Surivors have 2 objectives
Surive and finish the gens
When the killer fails stall the game they only have kill left
My problem is that behaviour makes anti tunneling perks disable during EG, they are like "okey lets make some survivor perks useless so maybe our baby killer can get a kill"
-
@RenRen said:
Where else is the killer gonna go? The 99% exit gate?
Fair point, but have you ever been face camped at the EG and your randoms team mates just leave you there cause it was to risky? That is the most afwul feeling in this game

Because those perks are free outs if your team isn't brain dead/you aren't the last survivor alive unless you are facing an insta down chainsaw killer. Bonus points because you can use them to protect your teammates as well, so even though you aren't being tunneled you can use the endurance anti tunnel protection to save your friend from getting hit

Im talking from the pov of a solo survivor, most players wont risk they win to unhook you

@SuzuKR said:
??? Why would a killer using a strategy to get a kill would be toxic? That makes no sense. The game isn't over until the lobby screen appears.
There is literally nothing else for the killer to do in endgame. No gens to protect. What else are they supposed to do?
Why do you think you're already out before the game even ended?
Strategy = standw in front of the hooked survivor preventing anyone to rescue them
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
They removed it so they could increase the bonuses. 16% repair speed would’ve been too much. I am fine with it honestly, the perk is still better than it was before.

@Crowman said:
30 seconds is already a huge time for a single survivor to add to the game which can be repeated up to 6 times.
If anything the range could be increased from 6 seconds and it wouldn't be overbearing as the survivor with reassurance (or the team) would still have to commit to a save.
30 secs are nothing against a face camping Bubba :/, these perk would have kill camping

Yes, it can activate multiple times.
Nice, so it works like Lucky break (if you are no longer the last survivor its timer pause) or each time you are the last survivor you gain 90 secs of the effect?
-

Low Profile still has the same duration as before.
Can the perk be activate multiples times? For example during the match and in the EG if you are the only survivor??

I dont know if this would help but those perks were the last I got to tier 3
-
@Tsulan said:
That... sounds like a bug.
Usually you should get a tier 1 (or higher) version of a perk, when you prestiged the charakter those perks belong to at least once. But downgrading a owned perk sounds like a bug.
I know right? I have all the perks at tier 3 with cheryl (she is my main btw) but today I was testing the update and I realized that boil over and dance with me were at tier 1
-
@Seraphor said:
If you've been on the forums for a while now, you'd know what the changes were going to be and that today was the first possible release date for the patch.
I'm not sure why you would wait for anything, you could have prestiged them at any time.
Try to use all your characters at level 1
-
@CaulDrohn said:
When being close to the 170 perk tiers, it's better to invest some more BP to get to the 170 perk tiers.
I would say if you just leveled to P0 L50 without doing additional webs (so you only have around 55-60 perk tiers), then sure prestige before the update. But the more perk tiers you have bought, the more items, addons and offerings you will have bought as well, which you will all lose when prestiging before the update.
So maybe something llike this:
When P0 L50 with less than 120 perk tiers, just prestige.
When P0 L50 with more than 120 perk tiers but less than 170, try to invest BP to get to 170 perk tiers.
When P0 L50 with 170 perk tiers or more, don't prestige and wait for midchapter.
This is actually a decision I have to make for my Yuichi and Haddie, bc they are both P0 L50 with 130 per tiers. I'm not sure if I can manage to get them to 170 perk tiers in time (should be able to boost them greatly with the rank reset BP though). But I also have 20+ event flans on them, so I surely will not prestige them before midchapter hits. Guess I have to prestige them in the new system then to get their perks for all survivors.
What Is a perk tier?

Game doesn’t need it. Third party voice chat will always be better than anything Behaviour would come up with. With their track record, even if they did introduce a voice chat, I wouldn’t doubt that it’ll brick peoples systems.
As I said, you cannot really use a third party voice chat in ps4 to play with your friends from others plataforms, I dont want them to add voice chat in every match, just when you are playing in group with others friends, I hate how I have to decide between my friends or the game

If survivors think having an infinite hex totem is fun I have an idea: Killer Hex Perks are infinite and can be reapplied to totems which are now unbreakable.
Lol lets try that, I wanna see killers wasting 14 seconds setting a hex

I am not against the idea. It might actually be good to mitigate proxy camping specifically. But that Basement Bubba is just going to dismember you regardless. Ain't no changing that, son.
Bubba needs some changes, I mean the point of the rework was to make him a better killer and reduce his camping potencial, they only did the first

Do you want to die faster? If you unhook in front of me, that is a free struggle state, mate.
At least I get to use perks like ds, dead hard, Unbreakeable, sprint burst, etc, Im not asking to eliminate camping, but to give the survivor who is being camped a chance to fight back, not just standing there hoping that your teammates will help you
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
SBMM is kicking in tomorrow. Expect to see a lot more camping.
Thanks for the news, Im preparing my DS, Unbreakeable, soul guard and dead hard, I guess cheesy plays requires cheesy builds :/
-
Im not saying its illegal, but not adressing the problem show how much the devs care, there are plenty things that the devs can do to solve camp, or at least give the survivor a change to fight back, sth like every 10 seconds the killer spend next to you when you are hooked the first time, you will gain %5 chance of free from the hook by yourself, being camped is not a problem for swf but for solo queu like me, its is, and big one. Saying that camping its okey because its legal its saying that genrushing its also okey, well they are both big problems of this game
-
@CornHub said:
That's the point. Why would survivors bother cleansing dull totems besides points?

@Warcrafter4 said:
MoM is a perk that probably should never have been released given how its deisgn makes it either oppressive or completely useless because it can breaks two fundamental rules of the game(once active: Immunity to one shots/3 hits needed in a chase to down them).
It needs a complete rework more then a buff if its ever going to be allowed to be good.
It doesnt give one shot inmunity, try it

Four things wrong with this.
- The active time on Pop is not the important part of the perk, so this is a bit of a faulty comparison. Regardless, the important value on Pop it's the regression, so in actuality it's more like 20x8=160
- Pop also requires a time investment of kicking the gen, which takes a bit more than 2 seconds. Even rounding down to be generous, and assuming that you popping a gen isn't giving a survivor time to get away (which it will) it's more like 18x8=144 seconds on the Pop side.
- You're assuming the killer even gets Eight uses of Pop, which is by no means guaranteed. The killer has to earn every Pop he gets, while you get DS as a consolation prize for failing, regardless of how well you're doing.
- You're forgetting that we're not talking about one person using DS per trial. The perk can be run by the entire lobby, meaning the numbers on the DS side are more like 60x8=480 seconds.
If the active Time Is not important why are you crying? Also Ds requires you to be tunneled by the killer, you wont use Ds all the matches
-
45 x 8 = 360
60 x 2 = 120
Also you can use pop more than twice
-
They should bring insta blind, I mean now you hace a perk that make you inmmune to blind

It's not sad. It's balanced. If it allowed you to keep the medkit after using those extremely powerful addons, it'd be broken.
I mean you lose the addons plus you cant use the medkit in match unless you hace build to last.
