That's awesome news!
It's so bad for survs that they will not want to play it, so they will go to the normal queue.
It will be like the queues are not split, but even better because some killers will be playing the evt making queue for this role in normal DbD even faster. -

I’ll say it 10 times more I’m glad I stopped supporting them financially since ghoul chapter.
Because I can’t see myself spending even a penny on this anymoreThe first thing I did after waking up on August 29th was buying the Walking Dead DLC to p3 both characters and make their adept ASAP and then I found out how bad the game was after the update.
Didn't spent a single dime since that day.
This game needs competition ASAFP! -
I hope nothing about her head camera changes.
I still hope to be able to play as all killers in this perspective and Krasue's 3rd person camera is the perfect beta test to it.
They could add some nerf if you choose to play in 3rd person or even the Swapped Perspectives mode could finally come. -

Just to add that you also need to have the item in question on your hand when you die. If its on the ground somewhere then you don't keep the add-ons.
That's that too.

Yep.
You need to die for the offering to work.
Should indeed work with the abandon. This is much like the old key add-on that let you keep it in case you die, but, again, you need to die and when you abandon you ended up losing the key. -

Holy #########, this is what you have a problem with, people!? They coded the splatter to go the direction of the survivor. Does that mean it's a 100% hit. Absolutly not! Like I stated in my very first post. I did this exact thing to a standing survivor directly in front of me. I shot at the wall behind them and it sprayed forward completely missing them. It was a big ######### to me when it happened.
Funny how you all are complaining about a standing target when hitting a moving target is far different. The projectile takes time to move and has an arch. Timing is still very much relevant. Saying I haven't played her, damn I think you're the ones that haven't even tried. #########.
I have a problem with everything that is braindead/doesn't require skill.

Yeah, handholds on both sides will kill the game by making it incredibly boring. The less skill expression the more the game will just feel like players going through the motions.
BHVR needs to stop, take a step back, and rethink how they want the future of this game to look.
Not only this game.
Companies are bending down to people who wants things easier instead of actually learning then. -
The anti-tunnel and slug changes were a MASSIVE handheld for survivors.
BUT I can see that BHVR also want killer players to be handheld. Krasue's auto aim, Clown with insta Yellow Bottles, Trickster since the last rework…
There's a difference between making the game "more accessible" and "more easy".
God damn it!
I'm part of a Whatsapp group where an imbecil said "Krasue is so fun!" and then people replied "she is broken because she doesn't have ANY cooldown for anything" and the imbecil replied "even better then"🤦♂️
EDIT: I'm "attacking" both sides, so the downvotes are surely coming from crybabies who want to press a button to win. -

My friend uses the HDR from his TV instead of Windows or the native one for each game and this is the result (videos too damn dark).
When he plays it's a whole different thing. You can see pretty good/it's not dark. -
OTR was too damn OP.
The fact you maintain all the other buffs AFTER a Conspicuous Action… DAMN!But now they indeed killed the perk.
They could've made it has the 30s armor and remove every buff after a CA until they figure out what to do with the discarded anti tunnel/slug changes. -
Paying attention in such basic things/details like which survs already got hooked is the MINIMAL a killer should do, so this makes no difference.
Cool, but no difference. -

This is not a buff.
It's a fix for a bug that exist FOR YEARS. Should be impossible for survs to vault back an object that one of these killers just vaulted.
Wesker and Kaneki even have a build in auto M2 that is used to punish survs if they are too close of the vault location, but guess what? Bug! -
Hope EVERYTHING else EXCEPT Myers having a dash comes the way they are to live, specially Ruin at 150%.
Also more pallets in realms like Crotus Prenn Asylum Realm should not come. -
I like this idea.
Another option would be to always play the TR/Chase music from the leader of the duo.
Leader being the term you guys used to address the lobby owner/the one who decides if the killers will play surv while they wait. -

Are you using Windowed Mode, Full Screen, or Borderless Windowed? This information will help me properly report the issue!
I have a friend who complaints about this.
He uses Windowed Fullscreen.
He said to me that in Houndmaster's PTB there was a sound cue to notify the player when everything was loaded to all players and the match was about to start when the game was out of focus, but when the patch came to live server and as of today this cue never came back.
The ideal solution here is make the game have no sound at all in any mode (Borderless Windowed, Fullscreen and Windowed) if the mute focus option is enabled WHILE also having this sound cue so you don't miss the start of the match while you're doing other stuff on your PC. -
What I don't like about these perk tweaks is that they indeed became useless.
Instead of nerfing Pain Res and Eruption I think it's time to rework them for something useful. -
@AmpersandUnderscore said:
The devs have answered both of these:
- It's 20% of current.

Good to know, but in PTB 2 it's not actually working. Seems to still give 30s of armor and haste.

He's currently just better spirit with 3 extra powers. He needs to be brought down to A tier. Same for Ghoul, Nurse, and Blight. Then they can make overall balance adjustments without resulting in people winning 2k straight matches as certain overpowered characters.
I'm just infuriated that they've said "we reduced the cooldown so now you can use it more" and I was so naive… thought that they would reduce the cooldown by 1s, but they just did half one.
He will be brought down alongside Ghoul ONLY.
No licensed killer can be top tier. -

First off the Anti slug and anti tunnel update completely overshadowed this Chapter.
Secondly since how this killer is designed and will basically function like a Diet Twins you detach your head leaving behind your body and when you hit a survivor you injure and inflict deppwounds and then are recalled to your body. PTB starts September 3.
https://x.com/DeadbyDaylight/status/1962289406284333461?t=8qOdOc0D1LOk-d3XF9mMWQ&s=19
Wouldn't be overshadowed if it was a licensed chapter.
-
It's funny that this update is such a huge thing that nobody is talking about the new killer and surv that'll come with this patch.
Aside from the changes it's a original chapter, so most people don't give a damn and because most original killers are ass.
Unknow and Huntress are the few they hit a huge lucky shot. -
@Bleakbtw said:
Hi everyone, My name is Bleak and I am a Dracula main that has devoted so much time into this character to the point where I only have mained this character since his release and even PTB alone. I wanted to cover the Dracula changes and I know we don't have the numbers yet until the actual PTB notes but I did want to raise some concerns I have about what is going to happen.
Vampire Form:
- Slightly Reduced Hellfire Cooldown: Amazing, I'm sure its going to be 9 seconds so W.
- Increased Total Hellfire Pillars by 1: Amazing, myself and other Dracula players have always said that Dracula should have an extra one base kit .
- Reduced Hellfire charge movement speed: If this is the movement speed you move at when you start charging hellfire I do not like this as one thing about survivor counterplay for Hellfire is that it is INCREDIBLY easy to Hold W from Hellfire the moment he pulls it up and that 1 extra pillar will not do anything for that. If it is the movement speed while you're having your Hellfire up that should not go through either. Dracula moves at 3.8 m/s when he is holding Hellfire and the thing about this is survivors are already faster than him so making him even slower is going to make it where he will never get Hellfire plays on certain maps like Lerys, Hawkins, or any maps where its incredibly easy to chain loops correctly.
- Slightly Increased Slowdown time after casting Hellfire: I personally feel like this was in an okay spot so I'm confused by this.
Vampire Continued: I really really don't understand why we're nerfing Vampire Form overall. If these compensation buffs come at the cost of Hellfire getting hit like this I personally would not take this. Vampire Form is his weakest form and if this is to solve the "zoning" aspect of Hellfire this won't do a thing. A Good Dracula or Killer player in general is going to know how to zone a survivor correctly into a tile they want and the same could be said about Deathslinger, Huntress, etc. Dracula is no different. These changes are going to make Dracula get punished hard for using his Hellfire so it will still make Wolf Form the obvious pick. I really feel like Hellfire should just receive buffs so people will get incentivized to use Hellfire and go for riskier plays rather than worry about if they're going to get punished hard because of these unnecessary nerfs.
Wolf Form:
- Increased Pounce Attack Charge Time: I personally felt like it was in an okay spot. I really thought the Dev vision with making Wolf Pounce .85 sec was to put it in line with Victor Pounce. There are some maps where its tricky to get pounces off due to the fact how curved the tiles can be but I personally played with 1 sec pounce charge time and if we're doing that (reverting wolf) I believe it should be okay but we shall do more testing since it's been awhile since that!
- Increased Scent Orb Spawn Time: Again I thought it was in an okay spot but again if we're reverting wolf buffs we got awhile back and making this 6 seconds it should honestly be okay.
Wolf Form Continued: If we are trying to change Dracula and bring Wolf Form down from other Dash killers this wouldn't really do much even if you gave wolf 1 pounce. Wolf Form is good at what it does because of the way its designed. The same way could be said about Blight and him having tons of map control/mobility. A Good side grade I would like to see for Wolf Form is maybe make him a little faster when he's in-between pounces? I feel like that alone could help people go for risky slide plays rather than just going for haste plays with scent orbs. I have been playing with Haste (batteries included and other haste perks) and yes I know I just talked about haste plays with scent orbs but having that extra haste when I'm sliding inbetween pounces made Dracula's Wolf pounce even more fun to use especially at looping areas like shack.
Bat Form:
- Increased movement friction to make flying easier to control: I love this myself and other people in my discord server have complained Bat Form can be hard to control especially on maps like Lery's or Hawkins so I am really really glad this was on the radar to adjust for Bat Form.
ADD-ONS:
Adjusted his add-ons: If we're going to change some of Dracula's Add-Ons I really hope we address some of the problematic ones that really need to get changed that don't fit into Dracula's kit or provide no value.
- White Wolf Medallion: Increases Killer Instinct by 40% while in Wolf Form anytime a survivor completes a rushed action - I should not have to explain why this add-on is bad but it has by far been his worse since it has made its way through the PTB somehow. This add-on alone provides no value to Dracula since 1. the number is so so minimal and even aside from that you already know where the survivor is at so I really hope this gets addressed and reworked maybe into something to buff wolf or maybe put force of echo's effect onto this since the add-on description says a trinket once used to call a great spirit guide and you use scent orbs to help guide you (force of echo increases scent orb spawn rate).
- Force Of Echo: Increases Spawn Rate of Scent Orbs by 17% - Again I would make this go to Wolf Medallion and have this changed to a Bat themed add-on as I am so confused why this add-on buffs Wolf as there is a literal bat on the cover add-on art and the description says "An Artifact that grants BATS (B A T S) even great senses in the dark. So hopefully that stuff can go to Wolf Medallion and we rework Force of Echo while deleting old Wolf Medallion in the process. I know we want add-ons to make people get introduced into the character but I believe force of echo could be a very good contender for that or even Chalice could be a good contender for that since scent orbs staying longer can help a player know where they have been.
- Medusa - Hinder by 8% anytime you teleport near survivors. I personally feel like this should be reworked into anytime you tp anyone screams around you since it fits Medusa as a character in general while also providing tons of information.
- Ring Of Vlad: Hellfire pillars home in on survivors but reduce pillars by 1: I don't like this add-on whatsoever it doesn't teach an actual player how to use Hellfire and its basically having Hellfire on training wheels. In certain situations it's actual a hinder to you rather than helping you. I really hope this add-on gets reworked eventually and with the current Hellfire extra pillar change you're basically not having a drawback since the extra pillar we normally would have lost is now base kit.
- Sunglasses: PLEASE REMOVE THE PENALTY. This add-on make Hellfire feel so sluggish to use and there are some instances where even going into shack with Hellfire or other loops it just feels awful to use. By far one of his worst Add-ons and I hope it gets the penalty entirely removed. I think having 1 Hellfire pillar as an add-on would not be problematic as you're using a whole add-on slot for 1 pillar and you're not really going for Hellfire distance shots at the end of the day when you're using Hellfire so it would be more of a fun use type add-on.
That should cover everything! I'll be back when the actual PTB notes drop and after I have done some testing but I really hope Dracula gets looked at carefully as some of the Hellfire changes can just make Wolf Form still be the superior pick over any other form in general.
Showed this to my friend who is a Dracula (and Wesker) main and… He's pretty worried about everything EXCEPT the Bat changes.
Maybe the nerfs to Wolf Form will be worse than reverting what came from PTB (7 or more seconds for orbs to spawn and more than 1s to charge Pounce), he'll be even slower than Wesker while holding his power and it'll indeed be a 1s cooldown reduction (because it's the crappies they can do).
And now he is even more worried because he didn't saw the "Adjusted his add-ons." part until now.
He also think it's pretty stupid to have a reference from one of SoTN relics for the BAT being an add-on for the WOLF.😂 -

As I somewhat said in the post, if all us just said 'okay, we'll wait for the real numbers' then things like this wouldn't happen. It's crummy, but slow dripping keeps people coming back for more.

So gen jockies should be punished through tunneling for doing the objective instead of clicking their flashlights and running the same obnoxious exhaustion/chase builds? Like what build to killers want? No gen build. No chase build. No second chance build. Like legit what do you want them to do? Cleanse dull totems with a meme build? I'd rather see a gen build then another godforsaken Lara Croft with Windows/Finesse/Lithe that loves looping the shack.
And you can still tunnel, you're just going to be punished for it. You can still do it and win.
By turbo tunneling (doing it at 5 gens) you're not giving a fair chance for survs to fight back, but at least you have to beat the surv in a chase. Survs use 2nd chance perks to avoid tunnel and these are REALLY annoying, but they need a certain lvl of skill to be used and can be dealt with.
Now with this proposed change they will surely be weaponized WAY MORE against killers.
Then we get to gen rushing. You don't need any skill to just sit and do gens faster than they should be. The killer is not given a fair chance because they ran out of time way sooner by a strategy that anyone without a brain can do.
And gen rush was never punishable, will still not be, survs can always do this and you can win MUCH easier than a killer who tunnels. -
@Rudjohns said:
How about survivors having other better items to bring instead of toolboxes, medkits and flashlights?
Ask the devs to either buff fog vials or remove them
And to revert keys and maps, and add a little buff to them
I would REALLY like that SO MUCH, but so far nothing has been said.
@UnicornMedal said:
We don't know how other perks will interact with gens yet. I assume you'll still be able to block them. And you only activate anti-gen regression by actively tunneling (again, there's a loophole with purposely dying on hook/being left behind—which ironically the 3% might've helped with but I digress—but I assume that'll be looked at as well before live). In practice, I think tunneling will still very much be a thing. It just won't guarantee a steamroll quite as early, which is good.
The loop holes are worrying me.

I've never really improved by being attacked again as soon as I'm unhooked and downed before I can even get to a safe spot for looping. It's not like chases are ending now, they're being spread out.
I learn faster under pressure. Helped me a lot to think faster in extreme situations, but I agree that this is not for everyone/everyone learns at their pace.

But also, how can she improve if a killer identifies her as the weakest link and tunnels her out with minimal gameplay? The longer the weaker players can stay in the match, the more time they have to improve at skill checks, learn maps, understand gen and totem placements, try to identify and counter killer perks, etc.
Ops. My bad.
What I meant is how she'll improve in CHASES. All the rest she's pretty decent (because you don't need skills for them, just a sharp mind that can memorize things)@Green_Sliche said:

What pray tell will competent survivors be doing while killer is trying to figure out which one of them is weakest and is worth focusing their attention to?
That's another issue.
Sometimes you find a surv that is indeed better than you. Part of the process of playing killer efficiently is knowing this and go after another surv.
Chasing these survs is a good way to improve, but there's a limit on how many matches you can lose before going mad.😂@Green_Sliche said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3990255#Comment_3990255
I'm an average survivor myself and I can only give one advice to your friend which I follow myself - play and practice more. It would had been far better environment for beginners if devs introduced Bot Killers that are present in 2v8 for custom match with variable difficulty settings. Right now beginners are simply thrown to the pit and are forced to learn or drop the game entirely.
Makes sense, but these "tunneling scenarios" are great to put your skills on test.
What I mean is that BHVR should stop taking survs by the hand so much because:
1-How will they improve?
2-Favoring survs because they are the ones who spend more money in skins is a trash move and makes sense in a financial way, but I think they keep forgetting that they need people to want to play killer or else this game dies.@Coffee2Go said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3990266#Comment_3990266
Pretty sure thats on the survivor issue and cause, if u hook them as in 1st hook state they will make it also a thing where u wont get a penalty if they somehow decide to sacrifice a random which they probably wont it loses them a game in 3v1.
That said its gonna be polished before public release and many creators pointed it out
Hope so.There's also other two things bothering me:
1-Tunneling survs is indeed a more efficient way to win as killer, but survs will still be able to "tunnel" gens and nothing is being done to prevent crap like Hyperfocus+Stakeout.
2-They'll also keep using their 2nd chance crap anyways and now weaponizing them against the killer more than ever. -
@Coffee2Go said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3990256#Comment_3990256
Im 90% sure that it will be added lol they wont allow any loopholes like that slip through, like look at youtube content there are streamers who said there are some changes that overlap and dont make sense.
Either way for now when it gets added down them, gives u 3v1 for 90s, in 90s remember the survivors can do a lot if there is just 3
Found another issue.
A SWF trio could purposely let the "random 4th surv" die in the hook to get these insane buffs. -
@Coffee2Go said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3990247#Comment_3990247
Thats only loophole but easy thing is to down them, it wastes 90 seconds, allows u to just play normally.
It practically lets u have a temp 3v1 for 90 seconds.
But my guess is they will find a way to fix this by allowing to hook them once 90 seconds pass by.
Without any penalties
Let's pray for that.

By recent devs logic, yes.
God forbid you find someone who can't loop against you and hook them and they die before you have other players hooked. I imagine if a similar rule for generators was introduced, there would be an uproar going on every social platform that BHVR does have.
I have a friend that plays pretty bad as surv (never touches killer) and I'm helping her to improve.
How TF she is suppose to get better if killers start to simply ignoring her?! -
What makes me mad is that if you find the surv you just hooked again by accident you have to purposely ignore him/her.
So we now have to let them win in some extent to not get extremely f***ed up. -
@mooasis said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3989872#Comment_3989872
if you 8 hook then you already outplayed every survivor in a chase twice for up to 16 health states, at that point who cares if you "won" in the games terms when you've proven you're better anyway? 8 hooking would again be far better than it is now with constant information on survivor positions and stronger gen regression BOTH without using any perks. if those changes came without touching tunnelling survivors would be complaining just as hard as killers are right now about how "killer is op and being handheld" or whatever
I don't want to prove anything.
If I deserve I want to win, not only a proof of it. -
@MarbleThrone said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3989872#Comment_3989872
No, it's a well known fact that if you 8 hook before killing anyone and still get a 3 or 4 k, you played a fair match where everyone had equal opportunities and left with good points.
There's a difference between fair match and letting survs win.
I don't like when anyone let me win, so I respect my foes the same by not letting them.
I never turbo tunnel (3 hooks and a surv is dead) unless survs really screw up, but 6 hook is almost 8. This is ridiculous. -
@mooasis said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3989855#Comment_3989855
the reason killers tunnel:
gens are too quick (addressed by basekit pop)
they cannot find another survivor (addressed by basekit bbq)
it is generally the most efficient strategy (its now massively inefficient if done too early in the game)
they absolutely addressed tunnelling at its core and they have BIG compensatory buffs for spreading hooks now, especially the information youll get from bbq is massive for all killersBasekit Pop is nothing and it's a well know fact that if you 8 hook before killing any surv you already lost the match.
Also survs will keep using 2nd chance perks and weaponize them against the killer. -
YEAH!
That's what I've been waiting for! Addressing tunnel without the reason of why killers do it.
You're now forced to 6 hooks before killing a surv.
Slow the damn gens and make unable for gen related perks to stack or work with each other like Hyperfocus+Stakeout.
GOD DAMN IT!
Also I'm sure you tweaked Dracula's number by A LOT for nerfs and almost nothing for buffs and what did you do with Kaneki? Removed the kidnap tech and that's it.

I've been in that situation, and I'll surrender myself, and it's still not enough for them. They have to slug and go after the other person instead of just letting the Trial play out, and maybe they get the hatch, and maybe they don't.
We also need to rework the hatch mechanic somehow.

Honestly, this feature was a nightmare from the get-go. It's basically 3 mechanics stitched together into 1, Frankenstein style.
You are right, obviously, but they really, REALLY need to make AFK prevention and bodyblocking prevention separate from the anti-hiding one.
Agreed.

Agree, like with many things in this game, it went from "too much" to "doesn't exist" state.
EXACTLY!

Well… I think we all here agree Legion needs to go.
Aside from attracting more survs to play the queue times for killer would be also made better with less people wanting to play this role and most Legion players just want to do something that they can shut off their brains/don't want to use it.
Less killer players + more survs = better queue times.@SoGo said:
Eh, I'd rather have a gamemode that is enjoyable for both sides.
And, imo, Oni is not a problem, just Legion.
All the other killers are fine for the most part (unless you get a stacked combo but what can you do), but Legion makes it all easier for literally every killer aside Ghostface and Deathslinger.
I think that they have finally nailed the balance scales with this patch, so only thing to do now is actually innovate on Classes (give me a chest class pls) and try adding killers that will not break the mode.
THIS!
Enjoyable for both sides is the way. Just add more variety in classes and survs will come and play, but please don't add DH, DS or any of these other 2nd chance crap to 2v8.@UnicornMedal said:

I think the mindset is that 2v8 is meant to be a testing ground for AI bots on each Killer, but you're totally right—adding every single one to the mode will make it unbearable. Imagine facing a Dracula/PH duo. The mode would still have to be balanced as if you were facing Trapper/Ghostface.
I still want to see both these killers being added with Midwich as a map (high chances of a Konami 2v8).
Just give Winged Boots and Magical Ticket as basekit for Dracula to compensate the larger maps and that's it.
