This has stopped working LONG ago.
Only two ways to do it was with keys and Clairvoyance, and I'm not sure if keys work like this anymore.
Didn't knew that.
Thanks. :) -

You agree that just because something is a tech doesn't need to be removed… while saying that in a post you made advocating for techs to be removed.
There's a small portion of techs that are not bugs being exploited.

i don’t really consider cj techs a bug. It’s also a lesson learned after the first time. Once you know you know.
Wesker hug techs are fun as hell to go against and I love playing against really good weskers, it shows they took the time to learn how to get the most out of the killer.Window techs aren’t really an issue either once you know you know.
Momentum and crouch tech i understand they need to be fixed though.
CJ Tech is not a bug indeed. I like to use it to highlight the fact killers can't map actions in more than one button.
My friend is a Wesker Main.
He knows how to Hugh Tech, but he never uses this crap because is indeed a bug being exploited. For us is no different than using a 3rd party cheat. You're getting an advantage you're not supposed to. Wesker is supposed to collide with things, not slide on them.
I think I was never Window Teched myself and this is not exactly a bug, but something minor that needs to be addressed.@PigWithTvs said:

No problem.😁

Killer lose collision for a brief moment when vaulting a window.
Survs can exploit this to vault back without any punishment. -

Let's hope the next time they say it's fixed it's INDEED fixed.

@ReverseVelocity said:
Crouch Tech has already been fixed up.
Window techs and CJ techs don't need to be removed. They're very easy to counter if you have at least a little knowledge.
#4 just sounds like a detection issue with Wesker's vault hurtbox, so yeah that should probably be fixed.
Wesker's Hug Tech is so niche that it doesn't really affect gameplay significantly. It's not like Blight's Hug Tech where you could do it on every tile effectively. A majority of Blights I was up against pre-hug tech patch used it, but I've only come across a handful of Wesker players that use his hug tech.
"Momentum Tech" literally just sounds like a core feature of killer movement? I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for here.
Just because something is a "tech" doesn't mean it should be removed. A tech is literally just a specific interaction or technique for a certain situation.
Agree with "Just because something is a "tech" doesn't mean it should be removed…"
Thing is DbD community love calling bug exploitation "Techs".
Momentum Tech is the name I gave to this. If you, for example, are going left as killer and then suddenly wants to go right there'll be some sort of intentional "lag" that makes you lose momentum. For some reason if you touch an object while doing so you'll not lose momentum.
CJ Tech is my way of mentioning the "beta feature" that is killer being unable to have two buttons to assign actions like survs have.
A while back they change the priority in situations where there was a surv inside a locker and another downed in front of the same locker so instead of picking the surv up the priority now is open the locker first. That wouldn't be needed if killers had the option to map X button to interact with pallets, lockers and windows and Y for survs and gens, thus eliminating CJ Tech.
Also even if it's niche Wesker Hugh Tech it's a exploitation that should be removed.
BUT I have to say they should add a little of "slide" to him so he can, for example, diagonally inward dash towards a wall and slide a little bit on it. The slide should only be made possible if he collides with a wall from his side, not his front or back of course. -

2v8 is my fav way to play DbD and now it's gonna be even better! Hope 1v4 gets rid of Gen Rush as well. -
Will say this again here.
"I honestly can't believe they completely removed the gen rush capabilities of this class COMPLETELY.😁
That crap of get hooked → unlock ability to get tokens → each token add 5% as soon as you touch a gen was immensely stupid." -

This apology is PR to fan the flames and get people to calm down. It's the typical "I'm sorry, give me another chance" bs that happens in relationships. How long until the next apology?
The takeaway from that stream, is stop doing those surveys they send out because it's very clearly a waste of our time.
I would suggest not giving them money either until real change is shown
We are on the same page.
TWD was the last thing I've bought, but wouldn't have if I knew how bad the game was.
I had 2100 and something Auric before buying the DLC. This will be used to keep getting the premium rift + a possible blighted skin for Vecna.
I have a friend in the same situation, but he's saving his Auric for Blighted Dracula.
I mean, we already have the Auric and can't get a refund anyway…
TL; DR: me and him are not giving BHVR more money until we see a REAL change.
NOTE: we are probably getting banned for our comments man. -
Anti Camp/Tunnel/Slug without Anti Gen Rush.
It's SO TASTY just thinking about it. I can't wait! -
All I know is that I'm going to play the next 2v8 with the correct mindset.
It'll probably be the greatest gen rush in history because they are only changing the Gen Rush class by adding Jill's Blast Mine and Ada's Wiretap to it, so I'm sure we'll have lots of matches with 4 of them or something between 2 and 3.
The only way this is not happening is if they replaced that disgusting unlockable ability to get the 5% tokens for Wiretap and Blast Mine. -

If survivors are moving at all (even if it's moving back and forth in a small line), it takes 8.5 minutes before they get their first crow, and 12.5 minutes before they get their 3rd crow.
And opening a chest completely resets AFK points. So a survivor can hide for over 16 minutes, if they open 1 chest, and they won't get any crows the entire time.
God damn it!
It's indeed useless now. One of the QoL additions to the game and it's already pointless in less than 6 months. -

I dont think the company is willing to bleed money for you.
They are not even willing to make this game works.
Every update still comes plagued with bugs and now they want to increase prices?
That's my point. I would take the increased prices related to how bad the currency here and in the other countries are IF DbD was not this mess. -
@Emeal said:

Those are unrelated, BHVR does not control the value of that currency.
They can make the prices of their own stuff as high or lower as they want.

Crows got nerfed because prior ones were apperently working too good because like even not doing gens for 15seconds would give first crow and then not long after 2nd one even if you went to repair.
But i think the system is flawed since people can just hide and there is no literal warning aura for killer
@ImWinston said:
- Note that crows do not appear even if you open chests and cleanse totems, resetting the crows' timer.
@TheGoone said:
They made afk Crows extremely long to get now
@AmpersandUnderscore said:
You start getting crows after 2 minutes. And aside from chase (which apparently doesn't apply here), or gens (which takes several seconds of working on, but you claim wasn't being done), basically every other "bypass" requires completing a task.
So they could reset the 2 minute timer by opening a chest or cleansing a totem (which are limited and irreversible actions), but simply touching a hex doesn't reset the afk timer unless they break it completely. Finishing healing a health state does too, in case they actually picked up Jane at any point.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3980576#Comment_3980576
Yeah it seems that way. I played a match recently where survivors 3-genned themselves badly (I was not trying to force them into it) and didn’t touch gens for at least 5 minutes, By the time I finally found someone, they had accumulated only one crow. There’s no way people are getting crows after only 2 minutes.
The system went from the system being way too punishing to effectively useless. I really don’t understand how such a simple solution could be so complicated to implement.So BHVR did the classic BHVR behavior (😏): they are unable to do a simple thing like find a middle term.
If something is a 10 they go all the way to 1 instead of 5.
Same thing with AFK Crows now. They were too effective and now are useless.
Also in theory they need to totally cleanse a totem to avoid the crows, but who guarantees that this is working as intended and you can indeed stop cleansing a totem multiple times to avoid the crows?
Thanks guys.😁 -

After fnaf update and issues with crows, it seems…. They maybe fixed it?
I saw only one person with crows in all matches I can remember now
If by fixing they made it useless again, then yes they fixed.
This was suppose to prevent excessive hiding and this match of mine shows it (unless the totem scenario is true, which just means they have to tune it). -
@MDRSan said:
Honestly it sounds like they're tuned properly.
Crows are theoretically meant to flag survivors who could make a valid play but are choosing not to. It sounds like you might just be trying to weaponize them for a 4K which is not their intent.
You mentioned you were patrolling gens, downing the Jane repeatedly but not hooking her - playing for hatch or trying to avoid you are valid plays there. You mentioned you were letting the Jane on the floor - how was she getting up? Presumably the other player was coming in for a save if it happened more than once, yes?
I was picking her up to avoid a bleed out.
The match finished with me letting Jane go (because she was at least playing doing gens), but after she left for some reason I've found the 4th surv standing still and he didn't tried to escape, but he was close to a Hex and this detail is the reason I've mentioned cleansing totems and stopping to avoid AFK Crows. -

-
Same.
-
-Fix these stupid collisions that makes you lose a token because Wesker hit his pinky onto something.
-Fix bugs like survs being able to vault back pallets and windows after he vaults (and survs call it Skill Expression).
-Decrease token recharge time.
-Fix this crap that sometimes when the 2nd token is between 1 to 99% charged and you use 1 dash you lose the entire 2nd token charge.
-Make possible to cancel his 2nd dash even if it costs a little more of cooldown to his M1.
-Add-on pass like they did to Pyramid.
-THE MOST IMPORTANT: add the unintended effect of the Gold Egg (much better maneuverability between dashes) basekit. -

I've hardly seen vials at all in my killer games this whole time. Maybe one would make an appearance every five games. And then it would be used poorly and do nothing for the team. So yeah, I expect to see basically none now and I already have it in my head to not equip them myself. Not sure why they even bothered to make them if they weren't going to have them anytime to find their place.
The lack of vials in matches may also be related to the fact that you can't find the damn things in the Bloodweb.
The Visceral add-on pops out pretty frequently, but are useless if I don't have any vials to use them. -
@CompetitifDBD said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/453168/rip-fog-vials
Im fine with the item having limited uses. The effect it gives is pretty strong and shouldn't be unlimited like that. Its a really useful anti tunnel tool (or just when you want to delay being found,) but using it every 55-70 seconds is not fair when its infinite.
As for the effects nerf, that doesn't need to be changed, that includes the visceral add on. Fog viles opacity isn't what makes them annoying tbh, its the fact that they hide scratch marks, blood, auras AND grunts of pain in them. You can completely lose a survivor because of the item, thats a really strong effect that needs to be limited. But its opacity and audio are fine. No touchy
Same thing for me.
-
You have to use Iri shards to unlock original killers or REAL MONEY for the licensed ones.
When they sell enough DLC they gut killers, but Fog Vials being free… why wait more than a week? -
@TicTac said:

Thats sadly not fixable with a better mmr. The only solution would be if you would wait an insane amount of time, bc there are almost no casual player in the normal lobby.
And without the split que you would be forced to play for example Chaos shuffle. The only solution are less gamemodes/events.
I personally enjoy the better chance for good teammates, but for newer killer it can be annoying.
Playing as surv with split queues while you play the normal queue indeed is better.
Blood Moon I exclusively played normal because the evt itself was giving WAY less BP.
BUT the last time I tried to play killer in the normal queue while it was split I literally faced a pro team. Don't remember the nicknames now, but it was indeed pro players. I just played like an ######### because I didn't wanted the headache. -
@GeneralV said:
I still think only modifiers should have split queues, events like Halloween or Anniversary should go in the regular queue, the way it used to be.
@MoZo said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3978143#Comment_3978143
i would agree but with the way they’ve been doing events recently, i’d have to push for the continued split queue for events. for events like blood moon 2025, twisted masquerade 2024 & 2025, and Haunted by Daylight 2024, those events fundamentally changed how the game was played and forcing every player to play with those mechanics would seem wrong. i personally only played killer in regular queues during the recent Blood Moon because the addition of blood gens were very uninteractive for killers and removed a majority of useful perks that are a core part of the killer gameplay. imagine forcing every killer player to deal with blood generators for 3 weeks no matter what or survivors having to deal with remote pallet breaks and remote hooks for 3 weeks no matter what.
Guess we wouldn't have these issues if MMR in this game was something that actually works…
-
I don't know if this is the right place to talk about this, but…
Will the catch/grab issue from 2v8 finally be fixed for the upcoming iteration next August 19th?
It's not just Wesker that has this issue, but with him this happens much more often because he grabs survs way more than any killer.
I sadly have to say that after the state TWD chapter dropped I don't think/believe so this will be fixed/it'll be exactly the way it was last time.😐️ -

Game is so damn broken right now and the player count doesn't go lower.
This means two things about who's playing:
-People indeed addicted to this game.

Then they can just un-killswitch Gideon Meat Packing Plant and re-killswitch it all in a batch, which would be immensely simple.
Yep.
BUT sadly after seeing the damn pole in the offering screen we have to agree that even simple things are difficulty to be done or think of for BHVR staff.Is it a stretch of the imagination or does it feel like they've broken the killswitch system with the new engine update and haven't got the fortitude to admit it?
That's another possibility.

Same time, but Houndmaster was notably only killswitched in the event queue at the time due to a interaction with the snowmen.
That's what I'm thinking.
They can't have two or more things kill switched if they don't do all at the same time/same press of the kill switch "button". -

At the same time or at different days?
-
I'm starting to think the Kill Switch can only work in one thing at a time or they can't kill switch groups of stuff until they revert the previous one (like re-enable The Game and then kill switch it again along Streetwise at the same time).

I'm not playing right now just because of the damn non chase bug. It happened in 60/70% of all my matches the day the last chapter dropped, so I simply gave up.
Also BTW Fog Vials are pretty bad. I can see clearly inside their mist. -

Yeah, the bug is pretty bad.
Being able to refill an items charges by when you pick them out of chests is dumb, and honestly I don't feel that Streetwise needed a change.
This is probably another case where it got nerfed like Franklin's because it would've messed with the new item.
It isn't the worst bug, and I highly doubt they'll killswitch it, even if they should. Imo, they need to stop being so hesitant to use the killswitch.
Franklin, Streetwise and Overwhelming Presence are the way they are now EXACTLY because they have no idea how to code loss, more or less charges for the Vials and new Keys and Maps.
-
Have a friend that farmed Skeleton Keys using Exultation and the add-on that let's you keep the key after dying. He got more than 600 just for them to become trash now.

This 2v8 has potential to be the most hellish one for killers.
