Now people are pissed there's bugs but the event launched.

They tweeted about this - the Archives have been disabled due to a progression saving issue.

    Well heck. D:

  • Nono.

I wish explosive diarrhea on them while stuck in traffic, and frequent sneezes.

  • Oh, you did not know?

Survivors can DC against every Killer if they just feel like it, according to the DCer scrublords on these forums.

Oh yeah, and Killers can never DC. Not even against a 4-man SWF running 4 second chance perks each plus 2 purple toolboxes and 2 medkits with insta-heals. Gotta let the Survivors bully you for maximum BP, then go sit in a corner until they decide to end the match.

And if you down any of them? They get to DC and call you a tryhard.

  • @Elegant said:

Why I disconnect and how they can fix it.

The second I hear the Nurse's screech I DC. If I have incredibly stupid teammates who are making the game impossible, I will DC. If i'm in a game where i'm going to get very few points and definitely won't pip I will either run to the killer and suicide on hook, or I will DC. Basically, if the game is going to be incredibly frustrating and isn't going to be a good game for me I leave.

They can fix this by simply adding in better incentives for me to stay in bad games. Currently there are none. Punishments won't do anything because I would rather DC from a game that is annoying me a lot and go play something else than sit in a game I don't want to be in. If you give me a rewarding enough thing to keep me in the game, I'm much more likely to stay and play the game out than I am to suicide first hook or leave. Punishments are not the solution to fixing bad teammates and they haven't done that in any other game that has punishments.

What the hell else can they give you besides BP? Actual money? If PLAYING THE GAME is not incentive enough to play the game and earn BP, then stop playing and go away.

  • @CrowFoxy said:

I first hook suicide vs Mori :)

I saw someone else get mori'd? I'm out. Bye.

Oh good. So you admit that you ruin the game for other people. Congrats on being part of the problem, please grow up or stop playing.

  • @InnCognito said:

Yes they are being fully banned. But they really do just need to take the approach of Mute Bans or removing the chat lobby.

Just because a person says something. Doesn't mean that they should be competely removed from the legal right to play the game that THEY paid for. Despite someone not liking what someone said. Even if it was toxic, abrasive or hateful.

    Here's where your wrong:

Any game says '<Company> reserves the right to remove your access for any reason, at any time.' No one has a 'legal right' to play a game. I laughed at all the script-kiddy scrublords who cried about this in the first Overwatch banwave.

    What this means:

If you're toxic, they can remove you. No, you have no 'right' to the game.

Though it's ALSO to cover the company legally when the servers go down. IE: You can't sue BHVR/Valve/Blizzard/EA in 10 years when their game is no longer profitable, so they shut down the servers.

Oh! So, do you mean like... each Killer/Survivor character has their own rank? Like, on Plague I could be Rank 8, but as Trapper I’m Rank 15?

Edit: Gosh darn it. This is what I get for skipping parts of the post.

Sort of? I think your account rank should be determined by your individual rank with each Killer. This way, when you play a new Killer, you don't go against Rank 5 Survivors running 4 T3 Perks, but you also don't face newbies with 1 perk.

Or hell; have Killer Level play into it, so if you only have 2 perk slots unlocked, you'll face people with 2-3 perk slots unlocked.

  • @Trwth said:

All of these are already in the game, and have more depth to them than that. If you look at the ranking emblems you receive at the end of every match, it will tell you what the conditions are for earning pips.

For the two Survivor ones, that is the Lightbringer and Unbroken emblems.

For Killers, that’ll be the Malicious and Devout categories.

Yeah but they just give pips, which then determine your ranking. The pips are a bad idea because they over-simplify the results.

It's hard to explain but the current system is basically too simple for what it does, and makes it nearly impossible to enjoy a new Killer/Survivor when one comes out.

  • @oxygen said:

If they worked as the previous system but with the added benefit of completely eliminating lagswitching and the effect a killer's connection quality could have on the match as a whole that alone would be great.

Unless every DBD player plays on a giant LAN latency-related stuff like "hits that shouldn't hit" and "whiffs that should've hit" will happen, at least on dedicated servers you don't have to rely on a single consumer-level connection to have a functional match experience.

You can't elimitate lagswitching. It's not possible.

The game needs input from every player's computer to know that that player is doing. Lagswitching delays that information for a few moments (not long enough to be disconnected). It's not possible for a game or program to prevent what is, literally, manually induced lag.

  • How dare Killers get points! I mean, they have to depend on finding survivors, chasing Survivors, hitting Survivors, hooking Survivors, and hoping to the Entity those Survivors don't DC or just suicide on first hook.

But how dare Killers actually get bloodpoints! This is a Survivor-only game! :P

  • @IronWill said:

Counter question: Why should someone stay in a game that isn't going to be fun for them when they can just quickly jump into the next game, that could actually be fun?

It's called 'Sportsmanship'. Your teammates are counting on you (the 'you being the hypothetical player) to not disconnect, since you logged into the match and all.

But considering the sheer number of people on this forum who defend disconnecting, it's clear no one cares about anyone but themselves these days.

  • Survivors: Why are Killers so entitled!?

Also Survivors: If I go up against a Nurse/Freddy/Doctor/Mori/I THINK it's a mori/Get hit in the first minute/am about to be hooked/NoED procs; I disconnect. if I'm not having fun, why should I stay?

    😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

And yes; it's not all Survivors. And Killers can be entitled, too. It's just funny to see this post after seeing tons of people defending disconnecting & generally unhealthy mindsets these last few days.

That wouldn't fix it either. You can't force people to play when they don't want to. They'll afk, they'll stand by the hook when unhooked. It's pointless to try to solve, because you can't force people to take part in something they don't want to, lol

So basically 'Sometimes DCing is legit, so allow 90% of the people to abuse the system to screw over players' and 'People will always be jerks, so stop punishing the jerks'?

Those are really terrible arguments and if the devs did that, the game would turn into a horrible, rage-filled gameplay loop where 1 DC ruins the entire experience for everyone else, and they get away with it.

Nope, they can be any day (although we don't like to push an update on Friday just in case). We're sticking to the "as soon as possible" bit and trying to get it out before/by Halloween, if we can.

This is why I like this game, and the Devs thereof: They communicate. They also give you a bit of insight into the behind-the-scenes workings so we understand what's going on.

Ok first of all no I am not a salty or toxic survivor main.

Second all killer mains stop complaing about adrenaline because it rewards you and as well it gives exhaustion.

Third of all it is not a perk to prevent genrushing. There a plenty of perks for that, Corrupt, ruin, pop, surge, ect

And finale back to adrenaline, if you don't complete all gens then this perk is useless and you waste a perk slot. If you have noed and you dont use it that means A. You won congrats. Or B which is rare for me is that they broke your totems

In this first video is me vs a noed wraith. I was doing great until WOW noed. The only reason I got hooked.

    https://youtu.be/rF6GotGtryM

2nd video same thing......firsk hook against a camping pig

' if you don't complete all gens then this perk (Adren) is useless and you waste a perk slot'

If Survivors don't complete all gens then NoED is useless and you waste a perk slot, too. Huh. 🤔

Also; Killers can't prevent NoED from ever coming into play if the endgame is hit. Survivors CAN prevent NoED from ever coming into play even if the endgame is hit.

    NoED needs NoFix.

I can't wait to see the killer queue times when they start banning DCers. Its like half the games population at least. Some people DC just because they get downed early, but others DC because of tactics used by killer. Either way get ready to lose half the survivor population because if you think people will stop just because of punishment temp ban you are dead wrong. How in the world are you going to police first hook suicide? If the person tries to escape are the banned because they died early? Instead of trying to punish people fix what causes the behavior in the first place. A completely unbalanced game experience, or lose half your population. If as many people DC games as what we all see don't you think JUST MAYBE there is an underlying issue with the game itself that makes so many people want to DC? Could it be all the camping and tunneling that is "completely legit" for the crybaby killers? Maybe if they stopped nerfing every decent thing they've ever given to survivors and start thinking about all the crazy game breaking items they give to killers (kill after 1 hook, 1 shot hatchet to name just a couple) are how about nerfing BBQ and Chilli that every single killer uses? Nope only survivors ever get nerfed in this game because the killer community is all the devs care about. Name on survivor items or perk that is nearly as powerful as anything killers get. Survivors rely on teamwork which only really works well in SWF. Pug games the killer kills everyone 80-90% of the time and that also happens to be where almost all the disconnects happen... GEE think there might be a relationship?

I'd rather wait a little longer & get a full game where people don't cry like babies & DC, instead of load into each gas fast, only have half the team deny me BP by disconnecting every match.

So sure; ban the habitual DCers. The game will be healthier with a more mature player base.

He's really not OP though. Aside from his highly questionable lunge I like new Freddy.

What's questionable about his lunge? It's the same lunge every Killer has. It only looks different because he has a smaller model & a smaller weapon, but he's hitting the same lunge distance every Killer hits.

  • Dedicated servers will be better than P2P connections.

P2P: The host is the server. You're at the host's mercy. Anything he does takes priority, since he's the host and therefor at ground zero of the server.

Servers: Everyone has to connect. All data is sent to the server, then sent back to every PC connection. While dependent on your ping to the server, this makes for a more even, fair experience.

So tell me again how dedicated servers (once working properly) are WORSE for the game than being at the host (Killer's) mercy?

  • @thrawn3054 said:

"Just do totems". God I'm sick of that response. Unless you're going to expend alot of time you almost never find them all solo. I've had games where I've cleansed 4 totems and the one I didn't find bites me in the ass. Understand I actually have no issue with Noed. But do bones is really getting to an old response.

It's literally the only good response.

It would be like saying 'Just do generators' is an old reply to 'I can't win as Survivor because all I do is run around & then die'; or 'I'm slowly growing weaker IRL because I don't eat' and someone says 'Just eat something'. It's the actual solution to the problem presented.

What else should people say? 🤷‍♂️ Doing totems is how you counter NoED.

Survivors can prevent NoED from ever activating. Killers can't turn off a Survivor's Adren; if endgame hits, Survivors get Adren. Yet the same Survivors who say 'Adren is fine' get pissed because 'NoED is OP because I don't want to do bones'.

If Survivors don't want to actually counter NoED, that's their fault. Them being lazy does not make the perk OP. The solution is to do totems.

Or maybe you shouldn’t reiterate yourself in an undermining statement such as “I’ll say it again” even though I stated previously that I understood before, and I wouldn’t of escalated to saying you don’t corner the market on opinions. You aren’t slick, it’s very passive aggressive.

had you not said that, I would of been much more relaxed with my response. Sly jab for a jab. To get respect you have to show respect.

I say 'I'll say it again' because if I don't, I get people who say 'You said that before' right after they reply to what I said while ignoring part of my argument.

It was not a sly jab; it was me reiterating what I said because you continued to argue that W.Ward should counter Franklin's in spite of all the problems it would cause to do so.

Listen man we can have a difference of opinion , and I know what the game says. I know the reasoning behind not changing it. Yes if I bring a white ward and I get hit with franklins and that means some other teammate can’t jack my ######### or pick it up to ensure I keep it and it wouldn’t get duplicated that’s OKAY WITH ME. I said what I said , you said what you said. I understood you, it still feels like bs though. That’s my opinion. You don’t have to like it, you certainly don’t corner the market on opinions Bc that’s just “how things are”. enjoy your day, don’t start nothing won’t be nothing 🤙

Dude, chill. I did not give you an attitude. I discussed my view on your idea, the downsides of your idea, and backed it up with facts.

If someone disagreeing with you gets your hackles up, maybe you should not post your ideas on a public forum? I mean, people have every right to post their views on your idea when you post it here.

It's not me that should not 'start nothing'.

  • @HeroLives said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/792069#Comment_792069

Or just put in a code where a white ward item can’t be picked up by another survivor, so it automatically gets returned to you without duplication if left on the ground(obviously so since it wouldn’t be able to be picked up by anyone other than you)

So then you drop your item and run away, and a Survivor sees that item. They are now trying to pick up your item. They are not getting a prompt, so they keep moving around & trying to pick it up, and get caught because they thought the game was bugged.

This is what White Ward says:

'"Burning this Offering grants you protection against the loss of your Item and its Add-ons in the event you die."'

When an item is dropped, it is not YOUR item anymore. It's an item with no owner. 'Your item' is whatever item is in your hand.

You could go in with a flashlight and die carrying a Medkit; the Medkit is 'your item' and you keep it.

I'll say it again; this same subject was broached a few months back. Devs said White Ward should not, does not, and will not ever, affect Franklin's.

    1) Too many problems arise from it.

    2) They don't want a consumable addon fully countering a perk.

  • @HeroLives said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/792047#Comment_792047

It’s kind of bs considering there’s no survivor perk to knock a killers addons protected by black ward off to ensure they can’t get them back. Just playing devils advocate.

Except, if W.Ward worked on dropped items, what happens if you drop/get Franklen's(d), someone picks it up, and you die while they escape?

Do you keep your item AND they keep it? (Could be abused to duplicate items)

Does it take it from them? (Unfair for them)

Do you lose it because they took it? (Unfair for you)

So W.Ward CANNOT work on dropped items, be it dropped by you or by a Franklin's Killer. It's working as intended to prevent a whole mess of problems.

  • @Trwth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/791837#Comment_791837

Er, I mean if you die without holding the item, or escape. I don’t mean it shouldn’t be knocked out of your hands. It still should.

If I bring a White Ward and lose my Rainbow Map to Franklin’s Demise but then escape without the map, I think it’s only fair to keep the map since I brought an offering that guarantees its safety.

Uhh..I remember seeing this argument a few months back.

No, White Ward does not, and should not, counter Franklin's. Even the devs said this was no oversight and is working as intended.

  • No thanks.

I'd hate to load into a match and have 1 player in an SWF 'Take the DC' so his 3 friends can beeline to the gates, open, and leave before I've even found anyone.

The game is already rife with SWF friends who 'take the DC' when they are the Obsession, thereby negating almost any Obsession perk the Killer has.

  • Dang, the salt. @Peanits as well. Just looking to have this thread closed.

  • @bomb1720 said:

this is how it should work:

more of us just start to sabatage to 95% as it is from now. then if near chosen hook, demolish it before killer gets there.

if it was to be buffed get rid of the idea that they don't respawn, make them unusable for longer

when survivor is picked give them a little more chance to wriggle out cos 99% of the time they get no way near, in a way it's quite pointless trying as is. there are loads of hooks on maps.

this is fair on both sides as it gives killers more time to do their objective, more fun for suvivors.

    happy days!😎

Wriggling is not supposed to be an escape. It exists so the Killer cannot bring you to the Basement every time he picks you up. Or just carry 1 Survivor around while hunting the rest. They have to pick the closest hook.

So wriggling does not need a buff, because it's not meant to be an escape. it's just a time limit to force the Killer to hook.

  • @Mochan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/790506#Comment_790506

    Actually yes.

If you get better as killer you'll kill survivors faster, so gens don't pop as fast. You can say whatever you want, but this is proven by top killer streamers who do it all the time.

If they can do it, then it means it is possible for killers to do it.

If you aren't doing it, that means you're not good enough to do it.

In the bigger picture, the genrush meta as we know it right now is basically due to the Healing Nerf which ended up with survivors just not healing anymore and just doing gens. There was a kind of genrush meta before that which was less extreme, but it got worse because of the healing nerf.

I won't argue that that is the killer's fault for asking for healing nerfs (though that's actually a reasonable view on it -- there are unintended consequences to many of the nerfs we ask for. We're already predicting a spirit surge after the nurse nerf).

But strictly speaking if the killer is getting genrushed, it just means he went up against better survivors and they had luck on their side.

Skilled survivors can cut games to 4 mins, etc. but skilled killers can also cut games to 4 minutes. I've seen games where killers win games in 2 minutes.

So seriously, there is no need for 2nd objectives. If survivors get them, killers should get them too.

If Killers got a 2nd objective just because Survivors got one, it would negate the Survivors having a 2nd objective in the first place.

And whatever spin you put on it, the fact is this; Matches are too short. Killers have 3-4 minutes to kill 4 Survivors. That's 1 Survivor a minute to win, when chases can take upwards of a minute.

Matches need to have some way of going slower, and no, Killer's don't need some sort of time-wasting mechanic as a skewed idea of balance. Balance does not always mean 'what you do to one side, you have to do to both'.

  • @alienschmalien said:

Play her? I just won't give you a chase. I'm going to stand there and let you down me. No running. No walking away. No trying. It's rather pointless anyways and it's unfun for me.

Sooooo.....I'm gonna make it unfun for Spirits. Sorry not sorry.

Frankly you guys don't want a chase anyways. So you want an easy win. So who knows maybe you're just getting what you want, without any of the unfun ######### for me.

All I see is 'Blah, blah. I ragequit (or rage-idle) because you picked something I don't like. I'm not mature enough to handle that people use Killers/Perks I don't like, and I'm going to throw a temper tantrum & ruin your game if you don't play my way!'

If you're going to go afk, thereby ruining the game for the Killer and 3 Survivor teammates, then do everyone in the playerbase a favor; stop playing. Uninstall the game and go play something single player, because it's clear a PvP game is outside your maturity level.

Your 'protest' is nothing but the whining and temper tantrums of a child who can't comprehend that he's wrong, or that people may enjoy aspect of the game you don't.

Yes because snares have a lot of counterplay when freddy can spam them at every loop to the point where its a guaranteed hit. :)

Yes; don't be asleep. The snares only affect you if you are asleep.

And since failing a self heal, popping a gen, being awakened by a friend, or using an alarm clock are all ways of waking up, there's no excuse to be asleep.

And if Freddy hit you and started the chase, he clearly could be funneling you towards his snares. Keep your eyes open.

  • As for his lunge: It should feel the same; every killer has the same lunge distance.

Freddy's just looks longer since his weapon is on his hand, and he's a smol Sleepi Boi.

  • I once got called a hacker because I hooked the 3rd person (it was his death hook) and promptly went in a random direction, got lucky, and found the 4th waiting for the hatch to open (This was as Trapper, btw).

He claimed I wallhacked to figure out where he was (I did not have BBQ in my perks). When I told him it was blind luck, he dropped this gem:

'BS! If it was blind luck, you never would have found me!'

So, in his head, apparently luck only existed if it helped him? Or no one but him could ever be lucky? 🤔

  • @Mochan said:

Gens aren't being done too fast for all killers.

They are only being done too fast when killers are of inferior skill level to the survivors he is facing.

Gens are only being done too fast if the Killer is bad?

So the genrush meta is the Killers fault? Git gud and Survivors will somehow repair slower? Somehow toolboxes will just not work as fast if a Killer has more skill? Survivors won't team-repair while a different one is being chased, just somehow, if the Killer is good? Keep telling yourself that, man.

To a degree, you are right, though it's less Killer skill and more that some Killers just don't have the inbuilt ability to map pressure enough.

Either way, skilled Survivors can cut a game down to 3-4 minutes, regardless of Killer skill, so even if you do not want to admit it, either Gen repair times need to take longer, or Survivors need a second objective.

  • @Mochan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/790405#Comment_790405

No it's not. What's unreasonable is killers thinking that they are entitled to a secondary mandatory objective on top of the existing objective.

In other words, a secondary objective that doesn't completely obliterate the survivor's basic objective of finishing gens. This is what I see killers asking for all the time. I don't mind adding a secondary objective but it must be truly secondary and not mandatory like a lot of killers are asking for.

Why would a survivor want a secondary objective if it doesn't help at all with surviving? There has to be something in it for them other than just bloodpoints or emblem pips. Totems give a boost on some perks (like IS) and prevent other perks (like NoED). All good. Sabo should give a better chance of wiggling out of the killer grasp. This is good. It's a costly investment to be doing these objectives.

Sabo is a fine secondary objective. And like I said, it doesn't have to be the no-regen type that does completely obliterate the killer's main means of killing.

You do realize Killers are asking for a secondary Survivor objective because gens are being done too fast? WAY too fast.

Like, all 5 gens can be done in roughly 3-4 minutes.

Every Killer chase takes around 30 seconds. I'd say more 40-45 seconds but let's say the Killer is really good and takes 30 seconds to chase before each hit. With 2 hits to down a Survivor, not counting insta-medkits or getting away, that's 1 minute per down.

That's 1 minute to down a Survivor. ONE Survivor. They can be hooked ONCE and it can literally take the Killer 1/3rd to 1/4th of the entire match to get ONE hook out of two or three needed for a kill.

So it can possibly take the Killer the ENTIRE MATCH to kill ONE Survivor, if the Survivors are speeding through gens.

And that's if the Killer is good enough to get 30 second chases per hit.

So no, it's not unfair or unreasonable for Killers to want something; a second objective or something at all, to slow down the game.

In DBD's current state I think they could finally bring back the whole hooks don't respawn thing and then at least killers won't complain about survivors gen rushing anymore

If they brought back the whole no-respawning hooks, and I had to deal with 'safety zones' that Survivors ran to in every chase; I'd uninstall.

The era of no-hooks was a dark time that should be forgotten, never to return. It meant Survivors would rarely die, because Killer would HAVE to slug. They had no choice, and then either camp a 4 minute bleedout timer & throw the game, or go hunting and let the Survivor be picked up.

So no, they can't bring back non-respawning hooks. It would ruin the game. Sorry.

  • Nope.

It already takes 2 hits per down (minimum), Then 2-3 hooks for a kill. That's 4-6 downs for a kill, in a match that can already have open gates by the 3-4 minute mark.

If they added a way to revive a killed Survivor, then there would be no reason to play Killer. 'Oh joy! I killed someone and they respawned, completely shutting down my momentum!'

I'm tired of taking hit through the pallet

This is an old problem that comes before dedicated servers.

The killer gets stun on the pallet and you still get a hit. It really discourages you from playing. And there are many times this problem, I no longer cheer on pallet stun because Hit is guaranteed

You were hit just before you dropped the Pallet.

I've had many times where I hit an invisible 'wall' (complete with clack noise) in front of a Survivor because the game decided the pallet dropped first, and I was still pallet stunned afterwards.

  • Define 'bringing back' or 'buffing'?

Because old hook sabotaging, when hooks did not respawn, was broken as all heck. Survivors would take the time to sabo every hook on one part of the map, and then run over there to prevent ever being hooked; they could wriggle free long before the Killer could ever get the Survivor to a hook, and then just run right back to the safe half of the map.

So Killers began slugging people, and Survivors started whining that slugging was unfair and boring in spite of the fact that they themselves forced Killers to slug. :P

Would you prefer a player who doesn't want to be in the game, run around and drop pallets, go gather items from chests and drop them in the basement or get rehooked after you dehook them so that you lose your unhook points?

You cannot force someone to play just because you think its unfair if they don't.

People play this game individually to have fun. And if a Map/Killer/Perks Setup, is just going to make them hate the game, then taking a one hook death is legit.

I bet you are the same type of person that complains about weaker players. If they are not as strong as you are they also RUINING your game?

Wow. Sure. Go for an ad hominem. Attack me. 'He must be bad so his argument is therefor bad!'

It goes to show how little of a counter-argument there is against me.

The whole point of fixing first hook suicides is manyfold:

    1) Remove the struggle mechanic. People hate it anyways. Make struggle automatic.

1A) After someone has been Sacrificed/After the hatch appears, allow a 'give up' button. So people can give up on struggling to give someone the hatch.

    2) 'If people can't struggle, they will just afk/run at the Killer/whatever.'

While TRUE; these things are outright reportable after a match ends. Which gets people punished.

    3) 'If people can't suicide or leave matches they don't like, they will stop playing!'

..Is this a bad thing? When they DC/Suicide, they are RUINING THE MATCH for up to 4 other people. Do we WANT to keep people in a game that they ARE NOT PLAYING because of something childish like 'I don't like the Nuuuuuurse! WHAAAAA!'

Let's make something clear; there's this thing called 'Sportsmanship'. When you sit down to play a game, be it with friends of over the internet, you generally are expected to ACT LIKE A DECENT HUMAN FREAKING BEING! Don't cheat, don't abuse bugs, and FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED BECAUSE 4 OTHER PEOPLE ARE DEPENDING ON YOU TO NOT BE A SCRUB.

Everyone defending fist-hook suicide: Do you know WHY Disconnecting is bannable? IT'S BECAUSE IT RUINS THE GAME FOR 4 OTHER PEOPLE!

Do you know WHY I think suiciding on the first hook because 'Buuuh! I don't like Rancor! I dun like the Nurrrrse!' is bannable? IT'S BECAUSE IT RUINS THE GAME FOR 4 OTHER PEOPLE!

So don't give me ANY garbage about 'People should not be forced to play.' Blah blah blah.

YOU decided to play. That means YOU accept the good matches AND the bad, because when you scrub out? IT RUINS THE GAME FOR 4 OTHER PEOPLE!

    Do you GET IT yet?

“This person followed the rules, and used completely legitimate in game mechanics. I don’t like this! It’s the same as disconnecting! Shame on you!”

Stop being a clown. If someone wants to suicide on hook they’re completely within their right to.

Of course you dodged my other comments pointing out how it being a part of the game does not make it right.

Sure! And if someone some day finds a way to become unkillable through a bug in game; well, they weren't cheating! It's in the game and it was their right to use it until it's removed. Same with Hook Suiciding to avoid DC punishments.

I guess both are okay; it's in the game so it's within their rights to abuse it, even if it screws over their teammates. Because hook suiciding does screw over the 3 remaining players. Stop thinking it does not.

It's genuinely disgusting how many players on this forum will use any excuse to avoid admitting the truth:

If you hook suicide on first hook to avoid a Killer/Perk(s), then you are a horrible player & ruined the match for 4 other people.

But sure; keep putting your fake salve on your conscience! Keep telling yourselves 'It's in the game, so it's not the same! (Hint: YES IT IS THE SAME! You are bailing on the match the first time you are hooked, leaving your teammates screwed & denying the Killer BP. THE SAME EXACT THING DISCONNECTING DOES!)

Stop being a clown. Stop defending toxic practices that actually RUIN matches for people.

  • As much as I don't want flashlights to be OP..

Maybe a non-stacking (so no using 4 at a time!) slight slowdown pre-blind? Like, the killer raises their left arm/hand/eldrich tentacle (you never know!) to start shielding their face and incrementally slows down a bit as their screen whites out.

As the blindness fades, they incrementally speed back up. Or it goes into full blind and they get all their speed back the moment of blindness.

Note: This does not affect Lightburn; burning an invisible Killer will not slow them down. It ONLY slows down on Blind. Not Lightburn.

That actually wouldn't be a bad idea, remove self unhooking unless you have deliverance or slippery meat, make it so once you get hooked you have to wait till you reach 2nd state to struggle or get saved.

Make struggling automatic, too. Both because it prevents suicide and also, more importantly, people hate the mechanic anyways.

Disconnects that arent disconnects you say....

So its not a disconnect. And you want to punish players for not disconnecting. But you also want to be able to force them to stay as long as you want them to.

You see how all this arent really constructive?

I see how your argument basically has no real points being argued, man.

You've done nothing but argue semantics and then boil my argument down to the point that you missed every point.

Just stop. You're trying to argue in favor of people who ruin the game for other people. That's not a side anyone should be on. Everyone should want a healthier game.
