"Until it's ready. That's all we can say right now. We've said everything we can possibly say in the status update last Friday. If we had a date to give you, we'd give it to you, but this is the sort of situation where we can't possibly say for sure. It's the type of deal where as soon as it's ready, we're sending it off for certification and then the update is out."
devs said nothing about it, so i don't think they will release it today
just wait for Thursday guys
FML...looks like I won't be playing dbd for another week then. Want to love the game as I have in the past but between this and waiting in lobbies for more than 15min consistently even with just one other survivor makes me wish there were other games in this genre...it's like you practically have to have a cellphone game or something to distract you waiting for lobbies anytime you play this game. Really hope we get more competition in his genre ...hopefully would kick their ass into gear

There's no relation. The update can release independently of the shrine, and the shrine can update without the update going live. The shrine can even update after the update releases (if they don't happen to release on the same day).
Don't get your hopes up/down because of the shrine, it doesn't affect the update in any way.
That's good to know at least I thought we could only receive updates for dbd on Tuesdays
Nope, they can be any day (although we don't like to push an update on Friday just in case). We're sticking to the "as soon as possible" bit and trying to get it out before/by Halloween, if we can.
The safest bet is to just assume it ain't happening at this rate :/

This is why I like this game, and the Devs thereof: They communicate. They also give you a bit of insight into the behind-the-scenes workings so we understand what's going on.
Now that's a good update on the situation. You ought to be saying this and stickying it in the News section.
I don't think it will happen it's getting late for it and unsure if they will extend it because it did not happen in time I'm optimistic about it

And for good reason, why should we care if the devs obviously don't care?
I mean honestly it's dead by daylights biggest event of the year for the game but they should have been working on it a long time ago. Say 6 months ago.
They were definitely working on it 6 months ago. The Archives system has been in the works for a long time.
The mistake was tying an immovable, calendar-specific event to the launch of a major new game system.
That's good but would like to see some extension on the game for are time loss.😊
The Archives and the event are being pushed back to match the new release date. You won't be losing any days because of the delay, they'll both last just as long.

Now that we have an update on the Patch can anyone say what's in the Shrine? Steam is down right now, for me at least.
For me aswell, would like to know the perks this week.
I finally got in, the perks are Ruin, Thanatophobia, Stake Out, and Dance With Me.
The perks this week are:
