  • In the first 2v8 each killer had unique killer specific abilities that would affect both that killer and the kilelr they would be teaming up with. I personally really liked this and made it so playing each killer felt more unique and affected the combinations of killers even more. I think it'd be really cool if those killer specific abilities could come back.

  • killer is now at its worse in years and will only get worse next update. Want to kill a survivor? Nope! you'll get punished by not being allowed to kick gens. Want to kick gens? Nope! you're limited on gen kicks and gen kicking is barely impactful. Want to get someone out quickly? Nope! the rest of the survivors will be buffed along side you wont be able kick gens. Want to camp? Nope! Survivors c

  • We now have anti slugging, anti tunneling and anti face camping. Hopefully the generator speed will be reduced to help the M1 killer after the latest patch.

  • I'm going to preface this post by saying that we don't have the full details for the 9.2.0 patch and things can still change. I know this probably won't be a popular post. That being said, I think the game design mentality for 9.2.0 is completely flawed and completely ignores deeper game issues - and I don't care about tribes, I want the game to be engaging and enjoyable for both sides. I play ab

  • So admittedly, I'm a survivor main and really baby at playing killer (prior to this I stuck to Trapper when playing killer), but during the 2v8 event, I've been trying out Spirit while duo-ing with my friend and I've found her really enjoyable to play. Problem is I know that Killers in 2v8 receive pretty buffed kits and the whole game mode is different, so I have no idea where to even start for

  • Like I'm glad there fixing the Kidnap Tech but why isn't he getting more nerfs? He's easily the most hated killer in the game due to his free hits, short cooldowns, getting grabs hits threw objects and walls and generally unfun to go against. Like c'mon devs you can squeeze in an extra nerf or two to him.

  • Is it just me or is it absolutely absurd how much ######### killers have to keep track of and jump through hoops to just be able to play the game without being punished at this point especially compared to survivors? its completely exhausting. yes killers are getting some buffs but the amount of power is not even comparable to the survivors, The killers will get a semi bbq but it only shows p

  • Is BHVR going to address survivors that bring a Sabo build? When they do these type of builds, they tend to bring unbreakable or boon exponential because they know killers will drop and slug to try and counter this game play. Now a survivor just needs to be slugged for 90 seconds once in order to always have built in unbreakable (90 sec timer doesn't reset - confirmed by dev) With killers being

  • i was just playing on The Game. (unfortunately not recording so i can't provide a clip) and when i tried to throw the FotD at a raised pallet i was a little closer than i meant to and got stunned at the same time as i pressed activate. the skeletons flew off mid stun in a raised diagonal and then that power was completely unusable for the rest of the match. i could use the other spells but that o

  • Some of you may remember that a former dbd balance dev (Almo) has left the company this January and with the knowledge of the next patch I can confidently say that ever since he left the game gone down hill. It´s been a revert after a revert this year, first it was xenomorph, than artist´s addons, than after that the knight nerfs and now, from the looks of it, the clown changes. I fear that this

  • It's clear to everyone that the updates included in the next PTB will significantly change the game of DbD. Therefore, I believe it's necessary to collect even more data than ever before. This is because the behavior of literally every killer will change dramatically. Early reduction in numbers and DbD (or rather, asymmetrical competitive games) are inextricably linked, and there are even playsty

  • The recent anti-tunneling and slugging changes seem to punish killers, but I believe they could be a hidden opportunity for a healthier game. By clearly defining what they don't want (slugging/tunneling), BHVR has essentially forced themselves to address the root cause: some killers need those tactics to win. If the changes are effective, it will blatantly expose which killers are underpowered

  • There's already a lot of systems that have been introduced to the game that simply are not explained in the tutorial or anywhere diagetically (in-game). I don't think it even covers hexes, and they've been in the game since like 2017. Add in the proposed changes and there's a lot of new basekit information and events that aren't clearly demonstrated or elucidated for new players or players who

  • Sense Killer is now being punished for doing there Job and morely I play is killer its obvious that the Devs don't want Killers in there Game. The Gens Already go Very fast as it is and honestly my Main Unknown being Buffed isn't enough Unless there is gonna be a huge change to how Killer doesn't need to tunnel and Slug im not touching this game.

  • I watched a known streamer react to Myers upcoming well, on the road map his changes are road kill. His rush just looks like he hopped on a keyboard, isn't Myers meant to be stealth, stalking etc? I mean have changes really worked well for other Killers? (coughs "Freddy") The community needs to be listened to a lot more, and I know some will disagree etc, of course, this is my opinion, I feel at

  • So, if you have ever seen me around these forums, you know that I'm the biggest advocate for killer rights, and 9 times out of 10 I have criticism to how the devs have been handholding survivors all the time since Skull Merchant got her first rework. That being said, I actually think that the update the devs announced might actually be good for the game overall, but it will all depend on a single

  • Go for the points Don't need to go with details on how it should work, but basically: -Killer spread hooks and all survivor escapes They get around 40k to 50k points from the match -Killer hard tunnels survivors and kill everybody They get around 5-7k points So it's all about their choice. They pick which type of fun they want to have. Also, anti-tunnel survivor perks should be drastical

  • Tunneling is essentially the best way to progress your killer grade at the moment, and now that getting kills this way is harder, can it be switched to be based on accumulated hook stages instead? (Reward evenly hooking)

  • Practically speaking, if the PTB changes go live, all generator perks other than Corrupt are permanently dead. That means a shift to NOED and gate blocking meta for all non mobility killers, since, with the new changes, you will effectively be unable to regress gens for most of the match if you are playing remotely efficiently. Many perks relevant to survs being unhooked are now also going to b

  • behaviour did a Q&A in 2021 where they said that a killer killing a survivor counts as a win while if a survivor escapes that counts as a win for that individual survivor. In this same clip they say that one dbd match is basically 4 1v1s for the killer. If that's how this game works then why are we getting the antitunnel changes? These chanegs now directtly go against the killers win conditio

  • With these changes, survivors can simply force the killer to tunnel. Off the hook? Chase the killer. Follow them literally everywhere so that you're always in position to flashy save or pallet save. If the killer downs you while doing this, they wont pick up because they get punished for it. And then you get up thanks to base kit unbreak. If they down someone else, they can't pick up because you'

  • So as we all argue over how the next patch will destroy DbD for ever and ever, one of the big things is we don't have any numbers. This most likely intentional on BHVR's part to stir interest over the weekend. Now we could do the reasonable thing and all calm down and wait just a couple of days for the actual numbers. But that's boring. Let's all lean into the pandemonium. Cards on the table ti

  • Hi everyone, My name is Bleak and I am a Dracula main that has devoted so much time into this character to the point where I only have mained this character since his release and even PTB alone. • Across the internet in the discourse that is the PTB changes a common argument against the changes is that every killer except the top 5-10 will be unplayable as they cannot win games without forcing a 1v3. This is a confusing point because it's a 1v4 game. Being able to consistently force a 1v3 is inherently unbalanced and unhealthy for the game. If you aren't skilled at using your power or surv

  • Patch 9.2.0 is madness, so in order to find a smart solution to the slugging and tunneling problem, we decided to completely punish the killer by giving two perks as a base kit for survivors: tenacity and umbreakable, which can always be used after exceeding 90 seconds in a dying state. Furthermore, the killer is punished for killing survivors. Congratulations! Now no one will play low-tier kil

  • 5 times, 5 TIMES IN A ROW I've had a Legion-Oni duo, and 5 TIMES IN A ROW I've been tunneled out instantly. 2v8 is still riddled with toxic killers as well as survivors who would much rather throw you under a bus than be decent human beings. For a company who has been saying that they've been listening to feedback, it surely doesn't look like it.

  • So recently i've been getting this issue on my pc that makes my game crash if i use d3d11 on launch or just get perma stuck on initializing shaders if i dont. I really don't know what to do now and this never happened to me before😶. I'll be grateful if you guys find a solution or some kind of answer to this problem. (Here's a pic of the most recent crash)

  • I have a question , what can we do to not get this update , because this looks horrible. And you know people played this game for 9 years , i am too spent a lot of time in this game. And i was absolutely in love. But the thing is , i really loved the open nature of the game . That was the only thing that kept my playing this buggy mass of spagheti code, where the devs cut every corner . But

  • This is coming from a killer main, but one who is for the goals behind the new PTB updates. I think making it so slugging/tunneling/camping are less viable is good, and while I do think they need to tweak survivor perks that can make this super exploitable (Flip -flop/Boil over which can make it physically impossible to hook someone you downed), I'm not going to add to the arguments against t

  • If a Survivor dies before 6 total hook states, all remaining Survivors gain a repair speed bonus for the rest of the Trial. If the Survivor that was last hooked is Sacrificed or Killed, generators cannot be regressed or blocked. These 2 things are going to ruin the game for killers Before anyone wants to comment "just don't tunnel" think about it. Killers are now FORCED to play by the su

  • I dislike being treated like a kid with these obvious psychology tricks. The Chandler Riggs stream will haught me to this day how the 'devs' who appear on the stream are nothing but token faces and the BHVR balance team are obviously some psychology graduates. • I play mostly survivor and it's just so much more chill, goofy and funny even with the killers. So many funny head bops and funny 2v1 interactions xD. I just love this mode man. Really can't see myself going back to 1v4. What about you guys? Some people love their perks. I don't care tbh.

  • I just got done reading the August developer update and just had a question about the repair speed bonus that'll be granted to survivors if one dies before the killer gets 6 hooks. I hope a dev can answer this. EXAMPLE Let's say Survivor 1 gets downed after being hooked twice before any other survivor has been hooked even once, then the killer Mori's them because they brought an Ebony Memento

  • Since they mentioned that they want myer players to get both of both worlds so stealth + lethality in a simple switch from one to another. They also mentioned they want to keep OG tier 3 with Tuft addon but thats about it what has been mentioned. • We saw this in many game, game devs will try to push for easier accessibility to new players. Based on steam daily players, many inflood of new player as well as returning players. The job of content devs here is to keep those players in, which mean majority would be survivors. I think for this patch, they will try to buff this kind of way, and later on, will buff killers back. Still, ther

  • Yes, it is a bit early to jump to conclusions before the PTB gets revealed and had a proper test with it, but I have been growing very worried about these changes the more I think about it. I've been wondering about the state of the game ever since the Walking Dead chapter dropped all the ups and downs of the game, all the baffling changes and decisions. As someone who has played both sides,

  • Sooooo they're basically nullifying like 20 perks both on survivor’s AND killer's end?? This upcoming update is going to be INSANE for the meta and while I appreciate trying to lead the community into a healthier state of the game, I think this was way too drastic. Though, I must say, I don't mind the Myers rework.

  • The PTB is adding both the Slugging Reduction and Tunneling Reduction updates. These are big changes that will create a lot of feedback, and keeping them in the same section will make things harder to follow. Devs/Mods, please consider opening separate feedback sections for each update so the discussions stay organized.

  • Think about it, it means as soon as it gets to 2 survivors it means auto 4k. As soon as killer hooks one they see aura of remaining survivor, so no chance of a save or getting hatch. It means stealth is dead.

  • Well i guess Killers have a Survivor rule book at hand now while playing The Game now. If you as Killer see 3 Gens Pop on ur first Chase and you need to get a single kill before 6 hooks and you need to get a Kill Quickly you now will be punished for doing ur job. Its like telling a survivor they can't do 3 Gens before the killer gets 6 hooks the Killer will get mega Buffed because they are doin

  • After reading the developer update, specifically regarding the anti-tunnel measures, it's hard to make a general opinion on how they'll play out, due to being such a complicated system. However, one thing stands out to me as immediately problematic: the fact that the anti-tunnel measures suppress Killer Instinct. This has the potential to have some very significant, unintended effects on a hand
